Eliza: WE DID IT!!!! This was so much fun, never did I think I could run 21kms. But here we are at the finish line and I’m so proud! Couldn’t have done it without my best friend beside me the whole run. Love you wildpip_morley 😏💗🙌🥳

Half Marathon this morning was a success. It was 49 degrees which was good and was looking to hold a pace of 10:30 to 10:40 for the race. Super hilly caught me off guard, but only one mile over 11:00 pace and followed that with a 10:12 to even it out. I needed to know I could hold this pace for 13 miles with the Marine Corps Marathon coming up on 2 weeks and losing a couple weeks from injury it's a win. MCM will not be as hilly as today so this race gave me great motivation. I appreciate everyone supporting me. Hope everyone has a great Saturday. 🤜🤛🇺🇸💪❤️❤️❤️

4th, and probably last 1/2 marathon is in the books!!
This one was memorable for a few reasons; first 1/2 I’ve ran without @sammiedeubs. She’s ran my prior 3 with me and she was very missed today. It was the first 1/2 marathon I’ve ran with Rory! He did this same 1/2 8 years ago so to come back and do it with him was awesome! It was my SIL’s first 1/2 and she did SO GREAT! Her and Joe, Rory’s brother, both ran ahead so we didn’t run with them but Rose came back and ran with me the last 10th of a mile across the finish line.
In spite of my lack of training the first 6 miles were really good! Ror and I were keeping a great pace and it felt really good, but after mile 6 my knee started aching. And then shortly after mile 10 I hit a freaking wall. My feet were bricks. It felt very similar to the transition between cycling and running during the mini triathlons I used to do. Anyway. Long story short I did not meet my 2.5 hour goal but I did meet my goal of coming in under 3 hours so I’m happy! 🥳🥳🥳
Like I said, this was probably my last 1/2 marathon. I’m not a runner. I can count on 1 hand the number of runs I’ve loved over the years so I think from now on I’m gonna stick to 10ks and 5ks.

A few days radio silence from me on tumblr because I’ve spent the weekend in London running the half marathon and seeing the sights.
H and the girls came too and were the best support squad I could have asked for, running around the course to keep finding new spots to cheer me on from. Every time I saw them, it gave me a little boost.
My finishing time was around 1hr 50 which I’m sooo pleased with. I kept up my pace all the way round, although the last 3 miles were really hard. I just wanted to stop and walk, but I made myself keep running.
I was in the top 5% of women finishers, which makes me so proud. I barely felt my knee pain as I was running (maybe bc I was topped up on pain relief before I set off!) but after I finished wow it stiffened up fast. 48 hrs of hobbling around and it’s on the mend now.
Sorry this is a total bragging rights post but I am proud of myself and my achievement! I also raised £1300 for the local charity that helped the Baby so much, and that also makes all the pain and effort worthwhile.

Ran a half marathon

October 2024
Woke up this morning and got my period and my Bluetooth headphones stopped working at the starting line. Luckily I had my wired headphones in my running belt and didn’t let some cramps stop me. I didn’t run the second half as well as I wanted and I think the path I took was a little longer than intended but I’m still so glad I did it. My mom ran the 10k and we got good food afterwards.

Almost made it to 6 miles before I started walking
