Haldetrude moves through life as if she was a forgotten character from a Brontë novel. She scorns the fleeting, bright distractions of the modern age and feels a disdain for anything technological, preferring to dwell in shadowed studies, musing of the impermanence of all things. She holds a peculiar affection for old wooden clocks and keeps them strewn about her home, not for the practical use they once served, but for the eerie poetry they offer.
