Haha, I'm sorry for troubling you last time! I don't necessarily want a request of KakaZabu again, since making 2 requests seem a little unfair, but I'd love to explain myself if you're alright with that! I noticed you included that bit with rarepaires in the 400 follower post (congrats btw!!! Your art is insanely pretty and just nice to look at and so so soft you deserve each and every one!!!) So.. belated explanation? I guess.

KakaZabu always seemed like the otp of Naruto for me, even before I'd entered the fandom! It was the way Kakashi and Zabuza were so alike and still pitted against each other, the both of them fighting for causes they didn't believe in and Zabuza died as a consequence. Zabuza only wanted to make money to keep himself and Haku afloat, Kiri likely being an awful place for him. Kakashi never wanted a Genin team, believing himself to be too broken, too devoid of love and warmth to keep the three of them alive. He'd only just barely managed to regain his philosophy of saving his comrades no matter the cost that Konoha beat out of him.

But I think Zabuza could have given Kakashi the will to hate. To be angry at Konoha for killing his father, for sending children on suicide missions, for giving him his dead sensei's child and the last Uchiha and a poor civilian born girl who was painfully dillusioned in the ways of shinobi. Their love would have been electric and destructive, one kiss sending forests ablaze and a mere touch leveling armies. Lightening and water are a deadly combo, after all.

They would understand each other well too, i think. Like two old, wisened veterans of war meeting in peace times. Or maybe a more apt description would be two wolves meeting among the sheep. They're two very damaged, barely surviving individuals with the combination blessing-curse of children that they need to take care of. That they need to train to handle the death and torture of the shinobi world. But together they'd be strong too, a force to be reckoned with on par to the jinchuuriki and akatsuki, powerful and eccentric and oh so dedicated to two things: they're children and each other.

On a lighter note... 😅

Theyre just cute together! Porn-reading psycho ninja killer cuddling up to his renowned-swordsman killer shark boyfriend! Just poking each other to no end, teasing quietly and acting innocent when their kids stare at them. As soon as Sakura or Naruto or Haku turn their backs tho, it's right back to giggling and lightly smacking each other. Just two big babies. They come across a laughably weak shinobi that tries to cash in their bounties and play tennis with the poor man's body. Kakashi probably gets a big sword too to match his boyfriend, or they develop an unbeatable style that involves them both using kubikiribocho at the same time! Kakashi was already good with a sword like that like we saw in the War Arc, so the both of them using it would just be grand!

Plus, poor little NaruSasuSaku dealing with Haku and the kids no doubt weird hobbies is just too good of a concept.

I’m so sorry if that seemed directed at you, wasn’t meant to be! believe me when I say I have gotten many other request, even when I’m not taking them, for some REALLY hard to imagine Rarepairs.

My brain automatically does white noise if I get a rarepair request that I can’t fathom. That’s why I asked people to hype up their request if they really want me to do it as I will otherwise have to pass on it because names and personalities are not enough sometimes, y’know?

As for Kakazabu, I get the ship. I do, or else I wouldn’t have taken it on 😎 BUT for all the great reasons you pointed out, that’s what makes them hard to draw for me. Intensity isn’t always the easiest thing to capture in one picture, especially a romantic pairing picture without them just getting nasty 👀 engaging in a fight/standoff. because my mind was like

and you may not have wanted that, so I just asked for ideas for them instead and mashed them together for something sweet but with promise 🖤
