What Are the Steps for Hair Restoration Consultation?
When we approach the topic of hair restoration consultations, we find that the process involves several key steps that help us understand both the individual’s needs and the potential solutions available. Starting with an assessment of hair loss patterns and a thorough examination, we gather crucial insights. After reviewing medical history and lifestyle factors, we can outline possible treatment options. However, the most important aspect is how we tailor a personalized plan to address specific concerns. What comes next often surprises many, leading us to consider the real impact of these treatments on our lives.
Initial Assessment of Hair Loss
During our initial assessment of hair loss, we focus on understanding each individual’s unique situation. We begin our consultation by discussing the patient’s hair loss pattern and any relevant family history that could influence our diagnosis. This helps us uncover potential genetic predispositions and tailor our approach to meet specific hair restoration goals.
Next, we conduct a thorough physical examination of the scalp and nails, which can provide vital clues about overall hair health. We also perform a hair pull test to evaluate hair growth and breakage tendencies. In some cases, additional diagnostic tools like blood tests or scalp biopsies might be necessary to identify underlying conditions or deficiencies.
Through this comprehensive assessment, we gather the information needed to develop a personalized plan that addresses the patient’s unique needs and expectations.
We ensure that any questions or concerns are addressed, empowering patients to make informed decisions about their hair restoration journey. By taking this thorough approach, we can effectively guide patients toward achieving their hair restoration goals while providing the support they need throughout the process.
Discussion of Medical History
Understanding a patient’s medical history is crucial in the hair restoration consultation process. By delving into this aspect, we can identify underlying factors contributing to hair thinning and help tailor a suitable approach for hair transplant surgery.
During our discussion, we’ll focus on several key areas:
Duration of hair loss: Is it acute or chronic?
Associated symptoms: Any itching, burning, or scaling?
Family history: Are there patterns of patterned hair loss in your relatives?
Lifestyle factors: Stress, diet, and any medications you’re taking?
This comprehensive assessment allows us to pinpoint potential causes and evaluate your overall scalp health.
It’s essential to consider various medical conditions, as they can significantly influence hair restoration outcomes. Each detail we gather helps us understand your unique situation and informs the best course of action.
Treatment Options Overview
After gathering insights from your medical history, we can explore the various treatment options available for hair loss.
It’s important to note that hair loss can stem from multiple causes, including genetics and hormonal changes. During our consultation, we’ll discuss effective treatments tailored to your specific needs.
One prominent option is a hair transplant, where we relocate hair follicles from a donor area to thinning or balding sections of your scalp. This method can provide natural-looking results and promote hair growth in the affected areas.
For those seeking non-surgical alternatives, medications like minoxidil and finasteride can help stimulate hair growth and slow down loss.
Another innovative option is platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy, which involves injecting your own blood plasma into the scalp to encourage hair regeneration.
Each treatment option comes with its own benefits and risks, so we’ll ensure you understand these thoroughly.
Development of Personalized Plan
Creating a personalized treatment plan is crucial for addressing your unique hair loss concerns effectively. During our consultation, we dive deep into understanding your specific situation, which allows us to craft a customized treatment plan tailored just for you.
Here’s what we focus on:
Assessment of hair loss: Identifying the pattern and causes of your hair loss.
Discussion of options: Exploring various treatment methods, including hair transplantation and the use of grafts.
Personal health factors: Considering your medical history and lifestyle choices that may impact hair health.
Setting realistic goals: Aligning our approach with your expectations for hair restoration.
Addressing Questions and Concerns
Addressing your questions and concerns is a vital part of our hair restoration consultation. We understand that undergoing a hair transplant can feel overwhelming, and we want to ensure you feel confident in your decisions.
During our consultation, we’ll take the time to discuss your specific hair loss pattern and the factors contributing to it, such as hair density and miniaturization.
We’ll conduct a thorough scalp examination to assess your scalp condition and help you understand the best treatment options available.
This is also the perfect opportunity for you to ask about the different procedures we offer, their costs, and any potential risks involved.
We encourage open dialogue, so please voice any concerns you may have regarding the process or your expectations.

Cosmetology is a multidisciplinary field that integrates various areas of beauty and wellness. It involves not only enhancing a person’s physical appearance but also boosting self-confidence and overall well-being. A minimum qualification of 10th or 10th +2 is required to enrol for courses in nail and nail art extensions.

An Extensive Guide To Hair Transplant Aftercare & Recovery
Hair transplant is a treatment for people unable to receive their natural hair back with topical and oral hair loss treatments. Even though this surgical treatment is the most effective, the success of a hair transplant depends upon post-operative care of the treatment.
Harleys Hair Transplant Clinic is a renowned name for providing safe, effective and reasonable hair transplant cost in Mumbai. The town’s top hair transplant expert Dr. Sumit Agrawal is a founder of this clinic and provides effective hair restoration treatments. By taking insights from him, this blog is going to detail hair transplant aftercare and recovery.
An Overview of Hair Transplant
Hair transplant is a cosmetic plastic surgery of typically a balding scalp. In this invasive procedure, a hair transplant surgeon takes donor hair strips or follicles from the candidate’s scalp that have healthy hair follicles and implants them to the balding area.
Based on the level of the balded area of the scalp and hair transplant technique the entire process of hair transplant generally runs for four to eight hours. Once the procedure and effect of anaesthesia are over the patient can be discharged. The discharge papers detail the course of medication and tips to take the treated area.
Aftercare of Transplanted Hair After Surgery
Hair transplant aftercare includes mention guidelines:
Cleanliness of the Treated Area
While the procedure of hair transplant is in process, incisions take place. These stitches need time and cleanliness of the treated area to heal. Hence, the candidate needs to take care of the scalp and wash it regularly. For this mild shampoo can be used or the candidate can take suggestions from the surgeon.
Protection from the Toxic Environment
Pollution is everywhere. Microparticles of dirt and air pollution attack the skin and make rashes, redness and itching. Additionally, sunlight damages the melanin of the skin cells. As a result, pigmentation occurs which may become inflammatory too. To avoid these counter effects, candidates need to make some effort and protect the treated area from sunlight and pollution. For this one should avoid going out in the sun or use a shed to cover the treated area properly.
Here it is to note that, if the candidate wants to use sunscreen to protect the treated area against UV rays, before doing so consultation with the hair transplant surgeon is a must.
Pain Management
After the hair transplant pain may occur. This is due to the incisions. The pain after the hair transplant procedure is manageable. To do so, the person needs to take pain-relieving medication as prescribed by the surgeon. With time and proper care, the treated scalp incisions start healing and the frequency of pain reduces and it may last for 2 to 3 days.
Redness and Swelling
During the recovery phase after hair transplant, redness and swelling around the incisions or treated area occur. This is normal and happens after almost every surgical procedure. Redness and swelling after the treatment are not worrisome. It will go within a few days. To reduce that time duration of redness and swelling one needs to avoid hot showers and keep the scalp wet.
Mental and Physical Exercises
Mental and physical exercises play a vital role in the recovery after any surgical procedure. As a result, candidates are advised to avoid physical exercises which put strain on the stitches because it may cause bleeding from the incisions. Additionally, mental stress and anxiety slow the process of recovery after a hair transplant.
Sleeping Posture
After the procedure, the candidate is advised to take care of the sleeping posture and make it supportive for the treated area to heal. Regarding this candidate can be asked to sleep on their backs or keep the treated area in an upward direction.
The above-mentioned aftercare may last for 1 to 2 weeks. Once these time frames are over, candidates may start experiencing hair shedding in the recipient area. New hair is forming in the follicles, and will eventually begin to grow.
During this time, one should resume everyday activities, and do some exercise, and one can soak the head in the bathtub to help the scabs wash away. The candidate should not attempt to pick any remaining scabs off.
Conclusion
Hair transplant is an effective cosmetic plastic surgery of hair. This clinically approved treatment provides the most satisfying results and with the help of qualified and experienced hair transplant experts, one can gain the desired outcome. But along with appointing the best hair transplant surgeon for hair restoration, candidates need to focus on hair transplant post-operative care. Usually, hair transplant aftercare includes avoiding going out in the sunlight, strenuous activities, and mental and physical exercise which can impose pressure on the incisions. During this procedure, candidates are advised to take medicine and eat a healthy diet.
To get more details, one can schedule an appointment with Dr. Sumit Agrawal. He is the best hair transplant doctor in Mumbai. What is a hair mask & how does it work?
Baldness is a problem for which adequate treatment should always be sought. Fortunately, there are numerous options available nowadays; however, selecting the best one might be challenging. There are treatments like surgical hair replacements, and for the ones who don't want to take the path of surgery, there are non-surgical hair replacements in Concord.
The hair mask is a quite popular recommended therapy, especially by mothers and grandmothers. But is a hair mask for hair loss really effective, or is this cosmetic product only for hair care? What are the benefits of nourishing masks, and are they effective against alopecia? This article is going to answer it all! To begin with, let us know what precisely a hair maks is.
What is a hair mask?
Hair masks are nourishing treatments made with oils, butter, and other components. These hydrating hair masks spend more time soaking into the hair and nurturing hair more than your regular shampoo or conditioner, resulting in noticeable results with just one application. They are designed to stay on the hair for longer. Shampoo and conditioner just coat the surface of your hair strands and are rinsed away after a short amount of time. This allows all of their moisturizing elements to permeate the hair shaft.
How does a hair mask look?
They have the appearance of a thick conditioning cream that should be combed through the hair.
While a hair mask and a conditioner may appear to be similar at first glance, there are some significant differences between the two, which we will find out later on!
Hair masks, for starters, have a thicker texture. They leave a thick covering on the hair rather than freely spreading over it.
How should you use a hair mask?
Hair masks are simple to incorporate into your hair care routine because they frequently replace conditioners. Here's how to put a hair mask to good use:
· Rinse your hair after shampooing it.
· Apply the hair mask to your hair.
· Allow three to five minutes for the process to complete. (Tip: Use your extra shower time to cleanse your face, shave your legs, or exfoliate your skin.)
· Rinse.
· Towel dry and style your newly refreshed hair as usual.
What is the purpose of a hair mask?
These are high-quality cosmetics that nurture and feed your hair with the nutrition it needs. These powerful substances enter your hair follicles after penetrating the scalp. The application has a favorable effect on the hair structure, which can be strengthened as a result.
Hair loss masks are viscous, creamy-looking treatments that are applied before washing. Overall, to maximize the application results, you must carefully and evenly spread it on your scalp. This is accomplished by lightly stroking the mask onto the hair.
What is the difference between hair masks and conditioners?
A hair mask for hair loss has a thicker consistency, similar to that of hair conditioners. However, the composition and exposure duration of the two products are vastly different. The main difference is in the latter, as well as the active component concentration.
The nourishing mask obviously has the upper hand here, as it is constructed with the highest grade hair cosmetics available.
Hair masks have a deep-acting influence on the structure of your hair, while hair conditioners merely have a superficial effect. A hair mask treatment, without a doubt, feeds your scalp and establishes the foundation for healthy follicles. A hair treatment, on the other hand, will primarily improve the moisturization of your scalp.
Is a hair mass effective for hair loss?
In essence, no one-size-fits-all solutions exist because baldness therapy is always dependent on the underlying cause. A hair mask can help if the loss is caused mainly by a lack of nutrients or excessive use of hair care products.
A hair mask for hair loss will be ineffective in cases of androgenetic alopecia, spot baldness, or anagen effluvium. The powerful chemicals used actually enter deep into the scalp and help to renew your hair from the outside.
However, even the greatest hair cosmetics will not be able to stop hair loss if there is a hormonal imbalance or a severe skin illness behind the cause. Especially while considering the majority of these concerns are actually causing internal damage to your hair follicles. As a result, surgical or non-surgical hair replacements in California are the sole options for the treatment.
What are the best hair masks for hair loss?
Brewer's yeast, birch water, and precious oils can all help you grow your hair. If you want to stimulate your hair, you should only use a hair mask that contains phytochemicals that promote hair development.
Vegetable proteins, amino acids, artificial estrogen, and oil from stone pine or cedar nuts are all suitable options. Even though nutritional care promotes hair growth, the question of whether it also prevents hair loss remains unanswered.
As previously stated, everything is dependent on the reason for the baldness problem. The follicles in your scalp must be alive and robust in order for the hair mask for hair loss to stimulate and speed growth.
It's crucial to understand that dead follicles can't be replaced. New ones can be transplanted on the bald places to replace them. Otherwise, artificial hair replacement services in California are an option too.
What are the disadvantages of a hair mask?
The major disadvantage of using a hair mask for hair loss is the extensive exposure duration. This is difficult, especially considering the mask must be worn while sleeping for it to be effective. Of course, your attitude toward cosmetic hair care and balding issues will determine this. Furthermore, the product will not function on a gleaming scalp or bald places.
Hence, for such cases, the best way possible is to visit a hair clinic in Concord, like Just Hair, to determine the underlying cause.

BIOGRAPHY
TRIGGERS: Alcoholism, Domestic Violence, Abandonment.
Born and raised in Catalina, at least for the most part, Lydia is the oldest of three sisters. It is hard to say what made her parents choose to have a family at all since their marriage was rocky at best by the time Lydia came into the picture, and even worse by the time they had twin girls about three years later.
The family didn’t live comfortably by any means. Their house was worn out and passed down to her father by his father once he had died. There was food on the table, but the quality was doubtful. Her mother worked as a waitress, her father as a gas station clerk, and most of the money he earned was quickly turned into alcohol at the sleaziest bar he could find. He was an angry man, her father, angry about how life had been unfair to him, angry because his father spent a lifetime being angry with him, angry because his wife could not stop popping more mouths to feed when they shouldn’t have one to begin with. In his anger, he turned to the one thing that made him explosive and the nights in that house were hell. He would aim his violence on whoever was available, be it Lydia, her sisters or their mother. Their mother had long turned into a silent woman, she never stood up for Lydia and Lydia in return needed to stand up for her sisters. She doesn’t know how many times she hid them under the house, or locked their room and took their father’s anger instead.
A long time passed with life repeating its cycle. Lydia found solace in school and while she really just wanted to stay there, she knew she couldn’t. She didn’t feel for her mother, their relationship being non-existent practically since birth, but it was clear that she loved her twin daughters. They reminded her so much of herself, out of the three of them, only Lydia had inherited their father’s blonde hair, maybe the reason why her mother couldn’t love her, she reminded her too much of the unprovoked violence that man instilled upon them. Perhaps that’s the reason why, on a winter night, she had left their home carrying only the twin girls. Lydia remembers crying, begging to go with her, and remembers her mother telling her that she needs to stay to take care of her father. Lydia was only 12 years old at the time, and knew that running away from home would do her no good.
She would swallow and take every hit the man aimed at her, but without the twin girls to protect, Lydia thought that she could take care of herself too. She started spending more time at school, she stayed there until someone told her to leave, she prayed every night for her father to asleep by the time she arrived home and at the great amount of times, he was, she would cover him, kiss his forehead, because in his slumber, he wasn’t an angry man and he almost looked like the father she so desperately wanted. Despite every bit of chance life gave her to derail, Lydia chose to focus on running from that place, she dreamed about being away from Catalina, somewhere else, anywhere else really. She took odd jobs at the local establishments and was laughed at at school, or when the kids rolled around to be kids. She wasn’t popular by any means, no wanted the poor girl on their side, so she took the time she would spend making friends with people she wouldn’t remember and focused on getting out, on studying and maybe going to a place better, being a better person and being able to afford for the things she couldn’t.
In attempts to find her mother and her sisters Lydia would hit several dead ends, she would wonder if the woman changed names, or if she would ever return for her. It never happened. On Lydia’s graduation day, she had no family there to be proud of her, to give her a standing ovation when she took the diploma in her hands, only herself and some teachers who offered help along the way, including one of them who would arrive at the school earlier for her to shower when there was no heat in her house in winters.
When she told her father she had been accepted into NYU, he had yelled at her, asked her who would take care of him then. The alcohol and the anger had taken a toll on his body and by the time Lydia left he was trying to be a good person, trying to be a good father. No use. She packed her bag and went away, what little money she had saved during that whole time went into covering part of the tuition, she would deal with the rest, she felt like there was nothing in life she wasn’t prepared for.
In her first year in New York, Lydia would learn how unforgiving the city was, especially in contrast to the warmth of the island. New York was cold, damp and cruel, and she was too young and perhaps too wide-eyed for city living, especially a city that size. Still, she would learn, she had been a great learner her entire life. Her family and her hometown were on the back of her head, she needed to take care of her. It was her only job. Lydia would get a job at the local Starbucks and decide that she would eventually see what she wanted to do. Helping children in the same situation as she used to be crossed her mind, but on the first creative writing lesson she had, Lydia fell in love with words again.
It was nice to be recognized, receiving praise was something she was not used to. She was dedicated, smart, she knew what she had to lose and that made her determined. The praise became something regular, she did a good job. Teachers started asking if she had ever thought about being a writer, she didn’t, whatever she had done, especially outside of assignments, was deeply personal. One of her teachers asked if she wanted to submit a piece for a contest, she was printed in Time magazine. However, even with the praise and knowing she was doing a good job, it was hard to scare away the old ghosts. The voices in her head that made her feel inept. Besides, she didn’t have time to write, she needed to work. Paying for housing, tuition, food, and the occasional leisure, was not easy, but she had a life in New York now, she had friends, she had a future and it didn’t take long before she had a boyfriend.
Almost in a natural course of life, Lydia saw herself with someone who could be the spitting personality of her father. Someone who alienated her into believing she would never be someone unless she had him. Someone in a position of power, not only in their relationship, but in life. An editor. Someone who made Lydia believe she would never be anyone without him, someone who had her so tight in the palm of his hand it barely left time for her to breathe. He would take her in after she graduated, a diploma in English Literature, options for work in publishing houses, but she ended up with him. During the five years of her life Lydia endured in this relationship, she would become pregnant, she was 25, and too young. She knew what children had caused to her parents relationship, but the same day she went into the clinic to get an abortion, she ran away from him. She would stay a while at a friend’s house, sleeping on their couch, figuring out her next step, healing her wounds. She’d get a restraining order from the man, but she never felt safe in New York again.
Still owing money from her tuition, with no place to live and nowhere to turn to, Lydia ends up at Holliday Carlson’s door, responding to an ad for a live-in nanny position. The payment and the fact that she would be dealing with a fatherless boy make her stay, and for once she can see her life get back to track again. This is a job she’s good at and if she really wants to, she can write again, there is time to write. She lives with them for the duration of their time in New York, but doesn’t want to leave at first when Holliday wants a return to Catalina Island. She’s not sure she’s ready to dig up her ghosts, however, as she was ready to turn down Holly’s invitation, she receives a call from the hospital, her father was committed, she was his emergency number and only registered child, apparently. That way she returns home in late 2019 with Holly and her son.
After being 10 years away, her return almost takes her breath away. Lydia foregoes writing for now, having to assume a caretaker position, for her cirrhotic father, in the hospital waiting for a liver transplant she cannot help him with, and to Declan. Whatever time she has in between Lydia has used to establish connections, rekindle with people she hasn’t seen in a while. She still doesn’t know where her mother is, and she suspects she never will, but it doesn’t mean she’s going to stop looking.

Laser Hair Removal - Some Myth Busters
Are you thinking about laser hair removal, but have thousands of questions in mind? Stay right there. We feel you and we are here for you! As Indore’s leading skin and hair clinic, Genesis Cosmetology & Hair Transplant Centre has got the answers to all your questions and will eliminate all laser hair removal myths.
Let's begin by setting the scenario. You've had it with waxing and shaving. Hair always regrows. This is a proven fact. It always comes back, with uncomfortable itching and bad growths, no matter how often you shave. You despise your daily routine. You despise ingrown hair, and you despise the time it takes to shave or wax. We comprehend. Laser hair removal eliminates all of the hassles associated with hair removal, allowing you to be ready in minutes. Last-minute vacation? Don't be concerned. An unplanned date night? We've got you covered.
It is quite normal to wonder about the laser hair removal process and how the laser works, how quickly you can see the laser results, and questions like “Does the laser hurt?” We’ve put together some of the most popular myths about treatment to give you the well-needed hair removal training.
So let’s bust some myths.
MYTH # 1 Laser Hair Removal is Expensive
Starting hair removal with the laser has never been so affordable and easy. Laser hair removal treatments in Indore are indeed more expensive than wax or shaving products, but simply ending the conversation will be short-sighted.
The best way to see the cost-effectiveness of this treatment is to weigh the price against the duration of its effects and its ability to avoid constant itching and irritation – not to mention the endless hours you have accumulated waxing or shaving. The number of visits to the parlour is less compared to the amount of time you would need to purchase alternative hair removal products. Scheduling your treatments for a few months or a year will never have to worry about hair removal issues in the short term.
# MYTH 2 Laser Hair Removal is Painful
Laser hair removal treatment is not very painful. This treatment causes less pain than waxing or threading. Some people have very sensitive skin as they may experience some sensation and discomfort at the beginning of the procedure. Customers often refer to laser hair removal as “the rapid movement of an elastic band”. Of course, like every hair removal method, sensitive areas will suffer more.
# MYTH 3 You Only Need One Sitting For Results
When it comes to laser hair removal, patience is crucial. While you should not expect results right away, you will notice that the therapy is effective after the first session! Each therapy causes hair to become lighter or thinner. You should expect prolonged hair loss once your treatment plan, which usually comprises of 6-12 sessions, is completed.
MYTH # 4 Laser Hair Removal Exposes You to Radiation
When there is radiation between the laser's light barriers, it does not leave that space and has no effect on the laser hair removal receiver. Cancer is not caused by laser hair removal. In comparison to other laser treatments, the laser hair removal therapy uses a relatively low frequency of radiation. Laser hair removal is a painless procedure that only affects the hair while leaving the skin unharmed. After a treatment, you may notice some redness on your skin. Your skin will not be harmed or injured by the laser. To avoid complications during laser hair removal, go to a certified dermatologist who uses an FDA-approved system.
# MYTH 5 Laser Hair Removal Does Not Work On Dark Skin
Laser hair removal results vary depending on hair colour, skin type, and individual. Red hair is more harder to remove (though not impossible). White and grey hair cannot be eliminated with laser therapy because they lack all of the pigment that the laser attracts. The technology in the past proved ineffective in treating persons with dark skin. This is because melanin is specifically targeted to generate the desired skin effect. Dark-skinned hair has long been successfully removed using modern technology, so if your skin is preventing you from having treatment, you should reconsider.

How Does Hair Transplant Work in Istanbul?
Have you ever wondered how the hair transplantation process takes place? Of course, someone has even done this expensive program, but most people do not know how it works. At the same time, this operation has a history of nearly 100 years. It can not only restore the hair where it is not now, but also leave it there forever. The transplanted head will germinate and will not fall off for life.
In this blog, we will try to understand this tricky problem and how it works.
The Effectiveness of Hair Transplant
Did you know that it is not even the maximum value, but the normal state when 9 out of every 10 transplanted hairs take root? Given the complexity and ambiguity of the program, this is an amazing result of hair transplants in Istanbul.
The normal hair thickness in humans is about 300 hairs per cm2 (square centimetre). Such a value also seems to be a very good indicator when the density of hair transplanting is maintained at 70-80% of this value. When the hair grows back, the difference will be almost insignificant.
According to the experts associated with hair transplant in Istanbul, the transplanted hair remains in place. There is nothing mysterious and marketing. The results will be revealed after about a year after transplantation, but the hair has indeed taken root and will not go anywhere. This is because male pattern baldness highlights baldness in his forehead area.
This takes place because of fluctuations associated with the hormone of testosterone. The occipital and temporal hairs of the head are not affected by fluctuations in testosterone. Therefore, in the bald part of the head, they grow better than "original" hair.
Procedure Involved in Hair Transplantation
If you do not go into the details, hair transplantation is just the most direct meaning of transplantation. A team of doctors, usually consisting of more than eight people, removes hair from one area and inserts it into another area in a few hours of surgery. In some instances, the duration of the operation exceeds about 8 hours, during which transplantation of as many as 5000 follicles takes place.

What are some of the advanced hair restoration treatments available?
Hair loss is a common phenomenon and annoying issue that is affecting all genders. A significant portion of men and women will lose some amount of hair every day. It is a normal process with the aging of the body but will be a serious concern if this hair loss is more severe. With the evolution of medical science, there are many advanced hair restoration treatments with changing levels of success and reliability. By knowing the ins and out of these processes you will be able to adapt the accurate, proven, and effective type of treatment.
Advanced hair restoration treatments: 1.Medications
Some of the over-the-counter hair restoration medications like minoxidil (Rogaine) and finasteride (Propecia) have shown some amount of effectiveness in restoring lost hair.
Minoxidil: Minoxidil is a medication that was originally employed in treating hypertension issues where it showed some adverse effects of unwanted hair growth. This adverse effect provided a good reason for medicine developers to produce it for hair loss issues. It leads to the development of thick hair by widening the hair follicle, increasing the hair growth period with safe outcomes.
Finasteride: Finasteride is highly used in treating male pattern baldness that usually affects the center part of the scalp. But care should be taken while using this medicine as it has shown some adverse effects when taken without expert care. This medicine is recommended for adult men and avoided among kids and women who are nursing or pregnant. This medicine was originally employed to treat prostate cancer as it works by reducing the amount of hormone named DHT in the scalp. DHT is the reason for thinning of hair follicles, hence with the reduced DHT levels, there may be a reduction of hair loss. Unlike minoxidil, finasteride will not affect hair growth on other portions of the human body.
Therapies
There are few proven therapies for hair loss treatments that are used as a combination of ointments, shampoo, creams, and other medications. As these therapies also have the chance of showing adverse effects, it has to be used with expert advice. It will not only ensure optimal effectiveness of the treatment but also be safer until the duration of the course.
Surgery: Hair transplant surgery is the only type of surgery that is employed for treating hair loss issues. Again, this treatment is employed in men with the issue of male pattern baldness. This surgery follows a procedure of plucking the hair follicles from the back portion of the head where they are unaffected to DHT and replacing them on the bald region.
Laser combs: This is one of the latest forms of hair treatment that uses concentrated light to encourage the growth of hair follicles. There is a mixed level of effectiveness seen with this treatment, that will only work to a certain extent when employed with other procedures.
Wigs: Some permanent or non-responsive hair loss issues are treated with non-medical ways like wigs or advanced hairpieces. With the evolution of science, many advanced forms of these devices hide hair loss issues and provide a solution without any medical treatments. In addition, If the hair loss is caused due to a medical problem, then the cost of these devices is covered by the insurance provider.
PRP:
Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is a treatment that is employed to increase the process of healing across different regions in the body. The same therapy was found to be effective in restoring the hair especially with male pattern baldness that leads to shrinkage of hair follicles. Even though this might not be a sure shot solution, pieces of evidence have proved its effectiveness to a significant percentage in restoring hair growth.
To know the working of PRP, it is key to know the role of platelets in promoting healing across various places in the body. These platelets are blood components along with white and red blood cells in the body. Platelets are the first responders in the case of bleeding or injury and stimulate healing in the region. Researchers found that if they could pull out the concentrated platelets and inject them into any damaged parts of the body, they could help in increasing the healing process.
PRP starts with the process where a medical professional will collect the blood sample and insert them into a machine called a centrifuge. This machine spins at a fast pace separating the blood components. An expert medical professional will extract the platelets to be used in injecting the problematic region.
PRP includes a huge portion of growth factors and proteins that increase the tissue repair process. As hair loss is majorly caused due to problems in hair follicles, researchers found out that PRP could help regrow hair. After significant evidence, this PRP treatment has been employed as a popular method of restoring hair, along with treating injuries to muscles, tendons, or ligaments.
PRP is not a complete cure for problems caused by hair loss. Due to this, a series of PRP injections scheduled at regular intervals would be needed to maintain the hair growth issues. This is true for other forms of hair loss treatments like medications, therapies, or surgeries. The scheduling of treatments is dependent on the various health conditions of a patient or their response to initial PRP injections. Once the hair loss issue is brought to control, specialists may suggest regular injections every 3 to 6 months.
Bottom line:
Every human being loses around 50 to 100 hairs every day. This is not an element to worry about as the hair gets replaced by healthy follicles. But if the hair loss issue is aggravated and you can see visible changes, then it is an issue of concern that needs to be addressed quickly. When PRP for hair loss is performed at a reliable center like Chariss Family, you will be guaranteed to get effective results. We blend advanced technologies with optimal services in a soothing atmosphere for high-quality patient care.
