Okay I'm watching the last season of "Mozart in the Jungle" rn and I have to get sth of my chest...

I dislike Hailey more and more. Rodrigo just can't reach her incredibly high and fucking confusing expectations. He is so in love with her and she constantly seems like she wants to get away. She's never satisfied. Like, wtf do you want from him? He's your biggest supporter and when you want him to be honest with you, he is. But then it's too much for you to handle? (s4ep7) And when he clearly needs your help (because he's being harassed by psychos who think he is a demon and not the real Rodrigo) YOU JUST LEAVE HIM TO GET DRUNK?! WTF?!

He deserves better.

So I started watching “Mozart in the jungle”about two weeks ago, and I loved it. It’s really funny and it’s one of my favourite tv shows now. But I’m refusing to finish the last two episodes because I’m so annoyed and upset about hailey dumping Rodrigo. They’re soulmates and I love them! Also Ik that the show got cancelled (why Amazon why!?) and I’m still recovering from “I’m not ok with this” being cancelled and the cliffhanger never being resolved. I don’t want to go through that w this gem of a show 😭.

Why do all the good shows get cancelled when shows like riverdale, which make my eyes bleed, are still running?

Rewatching Mozart in the jungle 3x05

When Hailey asks Rodrigo if he is in love with Alessandra, he screams “Why do you ask me that question? You, you of all people, why do you ask me that?”. He obviously feels guilty because his declaration of love was out of his impetuosity and his attraction towards beautiful and complicated female artists, but I think it’s more than this. 

Rodrigo is hurt because Hailey should know better: he is a “whirl of contradictions”, eccentric and overdramatic, but especially devoted to music, so he’d say or do anything just for the love of it. What’s more, after all that’s happened in the first two seasons, Hailey should be aware that he has feelings for her, no matter whom he’s sleeping with or what he says. Rodrigo is basically saying: “Why do you ask me that question? You know me better than anyone else, my abuela told you we are going to be soulmates, so how can you believe I could love another woman?”.
