it’s late 2020. you’re sitting in your apartment, scrolling through tumblr and hoping the dishes will clean themselves. there’s a loud noise from outside. you look out the window and see the legends. they are all wearing masks and labcoats, running in the street and stopping traffic. ‘everything’s fine! we’ll fix it! the timeline will be fine!’ they yell at you. you nod and believe them. nate is wearing a leotard and gary is clutching a glowing briefcase. mick is vomiting as ava holds his typewriter. sara waves at you with her baton. they disappear suddenly. you can hear cars going by again as you pile your dishes higher. you wake up the next morning. the dishes are still there. your beebo plushie is now covered in glitter. you can’t remember how that happened. your phone is in your hand. a new season of ultimate buds has appeared, and for the first time in a month, you smile. the dish pile grows smaller. the legends can’t solve all the problems, but they give a bit of happiness when you need it.
