Haikyuu Chapter 352: Affirmation

REFLECTION:

Everybody asks "What is that man in his late twenties doing on a high school Volleyball team?" but no asks "How is Asahi?". He really gets put through the wringer this chapter as, being the ace spiker, he has to deal directly with Medai's insane defense and with every ball that's blocked, his confidence goes down a bit. Finally in a state of neo-despair where he just keeps hitting because there's nowhere to turn back to, his ball is saved by none other than Nishinoya, the guardian deity of the team. Asahi finally reaches a metanoia: sure, he has friends to back him up but the chapter ends with him finally acknowledging that to evolve, he has to be in his own corner for once.
