Short answer: no??? I've been in the phandom so long I've definitely forgotten a lot of really good fics

Long answer:

Here are some fics/authors that stuck in my head over the years

"Prom" (I think was the title?) It was a dash/Danny fic but an AU that developed Dash as a character,,, never finished reading it (oops)

There was a mermaid au on ffn that I don't remember the name of (oops)

Shadow of a Doubt (really anything by haikujitsu)

A Snapping Sound (dp horror au but like southern gothic horror more than like modern horror genre. Spooky all around... also another one I never finished)

Phantomrose96 isn't active in the phandom so much anymore but I love her writing (and recommend it's not gay if he's dead for some good old fashioned silliness,,, it's actually an unnamed ficlet from may 2015, you can find the link to it by searching the "ingihd" tag)

I think Space AU (plant alien Sam ect) had some fics for it? It's an abandoned au with multiple artists but fun!

Prom who's now starrforge might have some fic refs if you dig around on her blog? For some good Vlad content

I don't recall any savant par fics (Danny/Tucker) but I know there must be some floating around

I KNOW I've forgotten some of the greats but I recommend either finding an older blog and digging around their fic refs and/or try to find some fic refs from a few years back. (I would send you to my old blog which has a specific fic recs tag, but it's privated)

You'll notice I don't have any crossovers here, but if that's your thing there's some good dp/bnha stuff and of course dp/DC but I'd watch out as many of those aren't finished

ALSO: PLEASE HEED TAGS/WARNINGS, if you have any squicks (like torture, dissection/vivsection, ect please watch out. The phandom does NOT play around.)

You will need to look on ffn (fanfiction.net for works as they won't be cross posted), you need to look on tumblr itself as there are many many many fic/ficlets that aren't posted anywhere else, and of course aO3 which will have new fics and crossposted fics. But a lot of fics are only on one of those sites 👍 (also, if you don't have an ao3 account look into it as fics are on user only due to bots and AI scrapping works)

Second Year of Podficcing!

Bibliophileap Reads turns two today! I didn’t do nearly as many podfics this year as last year, and I’m going to be pretty busy this year as well, so we’ll see how this goes! Here are the podfics I’ve done this year!

I think I’ve learned a bit since last year. Also, I’ve just downloaded Ardour because I’m going to be a sound designer for a podcast (!!!), and I’m going to be a foley (and potentially other sound/art things) for another project (!!!) currently in the works! So even if I don’t post much here this year, I will learn a lot, and what I learn can and will be applied to podficcing here!

38. do you reread your own stories? 

Yeah absolutely! I like to go back and reread stuff after I’ve put some distance between writing it because it kind of lets me read it like the audience reads it. It’s kinda fun, especially if I feel like revisiting an old fandom/AU/idea

44. do you write linear or do you write future scenes if you feel like it? 

linear. no exceptions. Like with ABoT, I’ve got the core pieces completely planned out from here to the end, but details are fluid. If I tried to write the end scene right now, it would be completely lacking the context and nuance of the stuff that comes before it, because I haven’t written those yet. Details like dialogue, specific setting, and even sometimes character reactions are figured out while I’m writing a scene. It tends to feel less forced that way. So I need to know that context before I write later stuff.

45. share the synopsis of a story you work on that you haven’t published yet

Ah hmm, :/ I dont really have one. There was a short story I wrote for my creative writing class last year that I’ve never posted. It’s about a boarding school girl who falls in love with her roommate, and in an attempt to impress the her, the girl starts a rumor that there’s a hanged man who’s been left frozen in the campus cafeteria’s meat locker for 30 years. (There’s...context)

Friendly Reminder that the events that happened in @haikujitsu 's Phantom of Truth were almost canon in an alternate timeline in the show and we should all put our hands together and and pray for our smol babu boi (This is the closest animated scene we're gonna see relating to PoT??) (Imagine if this show had a higher rating and it actually showed all of that!!) the hardest pressure really is how once you’ve posted something and someone reblogs it, it’s that version for them and all who reblog it, forever. i’ve actually been drawing way more than i have been in years past, just on discord servers, where i have the option to edit or delete any post i make at any time. and because it’s my own server with people i talk to i don’t feel the need to size down art or sign everything or worry about art theft. i mean it’s always possible anywhere but less so than tumblr lets be real

it’s so much easier to just have a channel for art everyone posts on and reacts with little emojis and another channel for those great comments. it feels better than just a “### notes but you need xkit to see comments in tags if there are any”. it’s easier to share stupid doodles without feeling the need to make them “perfect”. ...i still wanna be able to draw and post “presentable” art but that’s just not a thing i can focus on right now, that’s what sucks.

I’ve had this half complete in my files since the SOAD fanart contest last year- and with Shadow of a Doubt making its way to a close I felt like it was time to dust it off and finish it~ and get it done in time for your birthday!

So I hope you enjoy my love letter to one of the best Danny Phantom fanfictions I’ve ever read, and thank you for taking the time and working so hard to give it the ending it deserves. As an avid reader and fan I’m super grateful. ; u ;

Im actually not sure if I wanna read a fanfic about this idea tbh mostly since I, uh,

im kinda famous for having a distaste for the way the phandom treats the DP characters and the way they warp the story, I mean I did write that “Vlad is disgustingly misportrayed in the phandom” post that’s still somehow wandering around

I mean if you can *assure* me that it isnt needlessly dark and actually has the characters in character then maybe but idk
