He sits on the edge of his bed while you sit next to him, you normally crawl behind him to give him a back hug, basically caging him in but he doesn’t mind! His hands are gripping your shirt, so tight just enough for it to wrinkle and ride up your soft skin. It’s funny, because at the same time he is laying down facing you, with this some wall between. But his tongue feels so desperate, and that thin line of sanity you can feel it on his lips. It’s been how long? Hours? You don’t even know. There’s chills along with spit running down your jaw of constant making out. Correction; just. making out.

The feeling of numb lips, an unfamiliar feeling, shoots down into your spine. The fact that you can now recognize his heavy breathing- for it’s basically yours at this point- makes the warmth between your legs pool, and you’re just praying that it’s not seeping through your shorts. He hasn’t even touched away from your shoulders yet.

Your hands are gripping his face, and you can feel every vibration from his throat on your fingertips. You’re curious. The thick layers of sweatpants- something you’ve never even considered before- limits the warmth, and the hardness to be felt from your thighs, where all your senses seem to be focused on. The realization of it- that the fabric is limiting you from him, a part of him that you’ve never explored before, makes your face burn. Yeah there’s no doubt about you wanting to go further. But something in you stops you, as it does him. Shit, you never knew being so similar to each other could make this so frustrating.

He pulls away from you, and the feeling of him taking a shaky warm breath makes you hesitantly open your eyes. And you swear you could have devoured him right there- rolled him over and climbed right on top- by his sinfully blown eyes staring right at your puffy glossy lips. You tense up a little, and glance down to look at his, bitten all cherry red and so pretty. He looks back into your eyes, and you’re not sure what’s in that look. You’re not sure because you feel the exact same way. His eyes are begging with pure adoration and devotion, but of what? Permission? Dismissal?

At this point you wish he would just undress you, or just push you off. Anything, anything to make this situation something else. Anything else than this pure anticipation. Your hands are still on his pulse point, the skin now searing hot and drumming of adrenaline. His hands are gripping your arms, now the sleeves all ridden up and the tense skin touching- quite the courage, by your and his standards, but fuck. You wanted much more. Or a definite less. But oh, so desperately more, if only possible.

“Just so we’re on the same page here, I’m like really hard right now” he spurts out, and the random confession makes you blurt out a blushy laugh. Especially because the vocal expression of a vulgar word to you made his neck glow red. And that bulge in his pants visibly twitch. Huh, would that be the same shade?- hell, the thought makes you look away from his eyes, barely keeping your amused expression. The tension seems a little eased. You sink back into the bed, and God, it hits you that you’re so close to this handsome boy who you’ve got this crush on. And he’s so, so turned on by you. Lucky you.

“Yeah? I can tell.” you giddily whisper back, and for a second you catch the frustration seep out and a adorable mix of embarrassment and relief into his face. Cute. He’s so close, but he’s also so far away. The shallow breathing fans your face, and it smells like lemon candy, along with your chapstick. It’s a dearing combination, you make the mental note to ask about it later. His hands rise a little to fiddle with the edge of your elbows. It’s the most he can do right now, pretty much the only part of your skin that won’t bend his sanity into two. Yet the slim sweat on your arm is really testing him.

“It’s so hot in here” he breaks the silence again. You turn your head to look at him, and he shoots you a sweet puzzled face. To you it looks like a question. Almost a suggestion, a test, maybe a request. And you can’t help but very slowly blurt out, a trembling answer to your darling boy. You already know the answer. It’s almost like you’re asking this to yourself, to convince yourself that you’re in safe, loving, careful hands.

"Because I can." You answer once more. He chuckles, walking over to you. He faces the vending machine and gazes over the snacks, looking for his preferred drink as he continues speaking to you. "Beside the vending machine?"

"It's a comfortable spot." That wasn't true, your bottom has been aching for the past hour or so you've been there. You simply lied to lessen the embarrassment of being found in an awkward place, switch in hand. He knows this too, judging by his look.

You sigh, "They kicked me out because I was apparently "smashing my buttons too loud that it kept them up when I should be sleeping with them." He laughs even more, you roll your eyes at him.

"They do have a point." "Yeah, yeah. I'm here now anyway, atleast I'm having fun." No, no you were not. He picks up the snack from the bottom of the machine, before locking eyes with you as he stands straight.

"Well, I know you're going to ache tomorrow if you keep sitting like that. Go to sleep, I'll walk you to your room." He offers a hand to you, and you happily take it as you feel blood rushing back to your legs after sitting cross-legged on the floor.

In silence, you walk together towards your room, where you're sure the others are sleeping soundly to even be awakened by your return. "Why are you up at 3am, anyway?" You ask him, turning your head to look at him.

God, he looks good, too good. You can't even believe how someone as heavenly walks on Earth. He looks ethereal, a divine god in and out of court. Your thoughts are running when he stares back, noticing your long gaze for a while, and you snap out of your trance realizing he was talking the entire time.

"Ah, alright. I see." You simply comment, looking back onto the hallway in front of you as he blinks, he asked you a question?

You reach your room, after a seemingly long walk (both of you were just walking too slow than usual), and you face and bow to him as a thank you. "Thanks for walking me, I should go in now." "Give me your switch first, so I know you'll sleep."

You grumble, but tired enough to not protest and give it to him instead. "Will I have it back?"

"You will, tomorrow when you're rested." He says, and you nod. You think he'd leave immediately, but he didn't.

Instead, he leaves a quick peck on your forehead. "Goodnight." He walks off before you could reply, and you didn't. Too flustered and sleepy, you went in. He on the otherhand, smiled. He should be nervous because you might never talk to him again, but with the way you looked at him that night after the training camp, he knows you feel the same way.

After all, there is no lie in the words and actions of someone who lacks sleep.

A harmless little prank

After practice, you and the other managers were asked to stay behind with the team captain and coaches, going over some plans for the next weeks. Meanwhile, a master plan was being made in the locker room.

A simple bucket of water on top of the door ledge would give Kuroo a refreshing surprise after a tough practice. It was the first years who planned it, ignoring how the second years said it was a bad idea, while the other third years just shook their heads and chuckled under their breaths. What’s a harmless little prank?

However, like their coach always says, things do not always go as planned.

Yaku always imagined these kinds of moments would play out in slow motion, but instead, he was watching at full speed as you, his sweet, loving girlfriend, opened the door and the bucket tipped over, soaking you in water.

The second years were doing their best to not laugh as Yaku’s face fell in absolute horror. The hurt in your eyes was delayed as they scanned around the room and landed on him. “What the hell?”

Yaku turned his attention to Inuoka and Lev who were both rambling apologies over each other. He was about to turn on demon mode when Kuroo came up behind you, stopping abruptly as he saw you standing in the doorway. “Woah, what happened here?” he said, about to add a joke when his eyes zeroed in on the way your uniform, now soaked, clung to your chest.

“Everyone stop staring!” Yaku practically growled, picking up his big sweatshirt and some clean sweatpants from the emergency locker and then coming over to give them to you, eyes threatening Kuroo without any words.

“It’s really cold,” you chuckled, and Yaku wrapped his arm over your shoulder to lead you to the bathroom so you could change.

The first years were holding their breaths, almost turning blue as they thanked the lords Yaku was distracted by you for the time being. When Yaku rounded the corner to stand outside the door and wait for you, they ran over to their bags and rushed the process so they could leave as quickly as possible, hopefully delaying their beating for tomorrow.

Just as they got out the door, Yaku came back with a stare that could only mean death, and Kuroo pointed him in the right direction. “You’re next,” Yaku told him before pushing past to get the first years by the neck of their shirts.

He made sure to kick their behinds until they would reconsider any more training this week. Kai was asking him to have some mercy, standing on a chair inside with his head out the little window to watch their antics too.

You strolled out after Yaku, wet uniform folded in your arms as you stood beside Kuroo and watched your boyfriend teach his underclassmen a lesson. “Think that prank was meant for you, cap.”

“Don’t I know it.”

“And Yaku was just gonna watch it happen.”
