The Scheduling au - pt 6

Yes it’s a day late but I fell asleep at like 8:30 last night after having two drinks and technically it was a public holiday in NZ so I’m justifying it.

Anyway the next part has finally arrived and it’s probably my favourite and so to start a little bit of ✨lore✨

So Vampires. In the show there was a throw away line about there being some vampires that had been there for decades.

My headcanon explanation for this is theres a difference between born vampires and turned vampires.

Born vampires age normally until their body’s decide they like the age they are weather that be in their early twenties all the way up to their late sixties.

However turned vampires are slightly different they don’t really age beyond when they are turned unless the are under 21 in which case they only really age maybe 10 or 15 extra years as their body settles into vampirism. There are also laws against turning anyone under the age of 16 because consent reasons. Those who are turned before then are put down because they are basically fuelled by bloodlust. (Yes this idea is inspired by @corvusdraconis)

So the turned vampires go to nevermore for a few extra decades to get a handle on their new society and how they factor in to it and to also help them blend in with normies when asked where they go to school. All the elder turned vampires also tend to do night courses and internships if it looks like they are a touch too old to be in school normally. (This is the reason why I implemented the night-school hours.)

And now the fun part as told with bullet points:

Larissa made friend withs few of the turned vampires in her school days and would keep in touch with them while she was studying to become a teacher.

During her years as a teacher at the school she would shapeshift back into her 20 year old self and have get togethers with her vampire friends

She mainly changed her looks so they wouldn’t fell weird hanging out with a teacher

As a present one year one of her friends gave her a pair of sunglasses so she would blend in more

They nicknamed her Issa

At some point the new students just assumed she was a vampire student in her last years and on internship because they only really saw her once or twice a week

They think she an albino vampire because she always wears her glasses when shes pretending to be a student

Yes she wears the uniform

She helps the younger years with homework and sometimes just helps out with life things

As Issa, shes well known for stopping bullying and harassment

The other teachers are only somewhat aware of the fact that she is Issa and tend to just let her be

Some of the students have figured out that she is their teacher and later on principal, but those who figure it out never out her because they find it reassuring that she takes their interests to heart and helps out on occasion

*cracks knuckles* Get ready for a long ask As an animator/artist myself, I have a lot to say about the character designs. I'm sure you've heard this before, but these characters are not animation friendly. More detail just makes it harder to animate. (While Bee is a notorious example, nearly all of the characters suffer from this) When designing a character for animation, you need to pick and choose the key parts of their design, because you're going to be drawing the same thing over and over. Another thing: The characters have so much freaking red to them. I won't dwell on this for long, but they don't stand out from the background because there's so much freaking red (Another thing that bugs me is that the characters don't look like what the artist wanted them to be like) Ex: Charlie doesn't look like a doll Vaggie barely has a moth resemblance Angel Dust doesn't look like a spider Alastor doesn't look like a deer Niffty doesn't look like a bug or B-movie styled aliens Ozzie doesn't look like a rooster Beelzebub doesn't look like an animal trainer (you would think with all the suits and shit she likes to use, an animal trainer's outfit would be perfect for this)

Another thing: Her characters reuse the same design tropes. Bow ties, suits, fingerless gloves, gold tooth, stick thin figure, top hat, etc I'd excuse it if this was a beginner artist (heck, I used to do this, but eventually learned and grew out of it) but this is a woman in her 30's who graduated art school. TL;DR The designs are bad and hard as heck to animate

I feel like, when Viv sits down to design a new character, her personal preferences come first and everything they're actually supposed to represent second. Sort of tacked onto the final product like "yeah sure that'll do it"

As for the details, if I may add on: not long ago I've studied screencaps of a character from Helluva for redesign purposes. The amount of inconsistencies I came across was surprising! I'm pretty sure he didn't even have an official ref sheet (nor has one been posted to date), but I've heard that even for more prevalent characters the animators only have the most basic turnarounds? Also stuff like Millie's hair and spots tend to be inconsistent. With so much gratuitous/weird detail and apparently lack of proper reference, consistency suffers

Everyone is also very spiky and full of triangles; I'd love a more soft or even square character. Also some different body types... I mean, remember Mimzy from Hazbin? I don't know if Viv does. I wonder if she's still gonna appear at some point. But anyway

On a more positive note, there's a lot of background character designs that I find really cool & enjoyable! Maybe I'll make an appreciation post for them sometime

Masterlist

A gentle embrace lingered in the air, whispering promises of blossoming wonders and sunlit afternoons.  Cherry blossoms unfurled delicate petals like confetti, painting the trees in hues ranging from blushing pinks to ethereal whites. Blades of emerald-green grass bathed in the tender caress of ethereal sunlight, shimmering with a luminescence kissed by dew.

The unmistakable arrival of spring break infused the school's halls with an atmosphere of tangible excitement and animated chatter. In every corner, students were animatedly discussing their carefully crafted plans to make the most of the precious holiday ahead.

It wouldn't be the first time you would stay in Ramshackle during a study break. The memories of the tumultuous winter break with Scarabia's vice-housewarden still linger vividly in your mind. Regrettably, this time around, even Scarabia and Octavinelle would remain vacant.

Meaning, it would be at least two weeks before you could see Floyd again.

Well, at least he seemed to be upset about that too.

"Shrimpy~ I'm gonna miss ya so much~"

A rueful smile plays on your lips, accustomed to hearing that familiar line every time he leaves Ramshackle to return to his dorm. But this time, a subtle pang of loneliness pierces through, realizing that you won't have the chance to see him again the very next day.

You return his hug by wrapping your arms around him, your hand reaching up to cradle his head, smoothing it down in a comforting gesture that's almost become a routine.

"I'm going to miss you too, Floyd", you pull back slightly so you can meet his eyes. "But you'll call me whenever you can, yeah?"

His pout intensifies, but then he tightens his grip on you, embracing you warmly. "Of course, I will! I'll show ya all the cool stuff back home!"

You surrender to the comfort of his embrace, basking in the musky scent of rain that clings to him and the inviting warmth he provides. The tranquillity is abruptly disrupted by approaching footsteps. A smooth voice interjects, breaking the tender moment.

"Floyd, pardon the interruption, but it's time for us to depart," Jade announces, a wry smile on his face.

Floyd tightens his hold on you, grumbling, "Ugh... Jade, you're such a buzzkill," yet he eventually releases you from his embrace, a reluctant smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "Guess it's time to go. But hey," he adds, pressing his forehead to yours, "ya better think of me lots, okay? Cuz I'll be thinking of ya always." He giggles.

"I'll be thinking of you every minute!" you respond, joining in his laughter.

"I'll be thinking of ya every second!" Floyd laughs, his gaze lingering on you for a moment longer before he grabs his bags. "See ya soon, Shrimpy!" he declares, a warmth in his eyes reflecting the affection shared between you, and follows Jade into the mirror.

You linger before the mirror, unmoving even after his figure has disappeared into the mirror. Floyd is many things, and one of those things is forgetful.

In a matter of seconds, your beloved walks out of the mirror, his demeanour marked by a sense of urgency.

"I forgot something!"

"What did you forget? The souvenirs for your parents? Or maybe your textbook?" you ask, your thoughts racing through various scenarios, a bemused smile dancing upon your lips.

Floyd's eyes widen in realization. "Oh, right! I did forget that."

You arch an eyebrow, curious about his wording. "Huh? Did you forget something else?"

Floyd hums for a moment, his face lighting up with mischief. "Ah-ha! I forgot my goodbye kiss!" he declares with a mischievous grin.

You blink, a mix of confusion and amusement evident on your face. Before you can react, Floyd closes the distance between you, leaning in with a sly expression. "Yeahh, can't forget that," he whispered, his lips meeting yours in a sweet, lingering kiss.

The fleeting moment of surprise melts as a pair of smiles bloom simultaneously as you kiss each other. As he gently withdraws, a genuine smile graces his features, and his gaze locks onto yours, radiating a warmth that envelops your entire being.

"Alright, I'm really off now," Floyd declares, playfully tousling your hair, his voice carrying a lightness as he steps back, giving you one last lingering look.

You chuckle at his antics. "Make sure you remember everything this time, you silly eel."

Floyd laughs, leaving you with a final peck on the cheek. "I'll do my best. Love ya, Shrimpy!" With that, he disappears into the mirror once more, leaving you in the mirror chamber, shaking your head in loving exasperation.

“Ouch?”

Changmin glared up at you with a raised eyebrow. Your eyes widened as you slapped a hand over your mouth. There he was: just hiding behind a plant that you had accidentally knocked over.

“Sorry!” You exclaimed, turning on your heel to go look for your other friends. A game of hide-and-seek was not ideal. It was fun but it was also nerve-wracking, especially since you were the seeker. 

Right.

You were the seeker.

Quickly, as if someone had spun you like a top, you whirled around. Changmin was standing in front of you with an amused smile on his lips.

“You forgot, didn’t you?” He snickered.

You groaned. “Yes, I’m supposed to catch you. And I forgot to.” You cursed at yourself after suggesting the idea that when you find someone, you’re supposed to tag them for it to count. 

“Too handsome for you?” He grinned. 

“Oh yes.” You rolled your eyes. “Definitely distracted me with your stupid, foolish smile.”

He feigned hurt as he held a hand over his chest. “You wound me, dear.” He eyed you as you slowly crept forward, your hand twitching to tap his shoulder. 

“When did I say that you can call me dear?”

He shrugged, inching away, his hands held up as if he were arrested for a crime. You groaned and practically lunged forward, trying to grab his arm but he was quick to pull away with a loud laugh. 

“You have to do better than that, my dear.”

You grumbled, accepting defeat. Hide-and-seek was never your type of game. With a loud, exaggerated sigh, you crouched to the floor, hiding your face in your hands. The room was silent. With a small smile, you peeked through your hands to catch a glimpse of Changmin staring down at you with a confused look. And then you looked back down. 

And sniffled.

An incredibly long and amplified sound. You wouldn’t call yourself a great actor. Maybe, maybe, you would be a good voice actor. To add to the effect, you shook your shoulders along with your fake cries. You could hear Changmin awkwardly shuffle from above you. 

“Did you… really not like the name? Dear?” He whispered, his tone laced with guilt.

You froze. That wasn’t your goal. You quite liked the name, but you always refused to admit it. He was your friend. The nickname wasn’t something that friends usually use so it left you in a state of confusion.

You decided not to answer the question, only faking your cries even louder. He hummed and you could see in the corner of your eye, him crouching in front of you. He tilted his head, trying to get a better look at your face. When he failed to do so, he sighed.

“Why’re you crying?” He pouted. When you still didn’t answer he nudged you. “I’ll let you win if it makes you feel better.”

Your eyes brightened at his words and you instantly looked up from your hands with a smug grin. He gasped, falling backward on the floor.

“You tricked me!” He yelled. You laughed and reached forward, grabbing both of his shoulders with a wide smile. 

“Gotcha,” You whispered.

His cheeks had turned oddly red at your action.

“I cannot believe you, dear.” But then he paused and stared at you curiously. “So you weren’t crying over the nickname?”

You shook your head.

He smirked and nodded. “Great. So it’s confirmed I can call you dear.” 

“Why so desperate?” You groaned, getting off the floor. You didn’t quite catch the sight of him trying to grab your hand with a longing look.

Whenever Changmin was the seeker, that was usually when everyone feared for their life. He was incredibly competitive and would not stop at anything until he finds you. You could even compare this to a horror movie with the way he laughs almost maniacally when he finds someone.

With heaving breaths, you turned the corner after just witnessing your friend being caught. So far, it was only you and Sunwoo left. Your eyes darted around the room, desperately trying to find somewhere to hide. Finally, your eyes zeroed in on a closet. 

You rushed over and closed the door behind you. Luckily, the doors were slatted so you could peek through and some light could come through. Being stuck in the dark wasn’t particularly your favorite thing.

You bit your lip as you waited silently, holding your breath so you could hear any footsteps approaching. 

But what you didn’t quite notice was that there was someone hiding right next to you. More specifically, Changmin–the person that you’re supposed to be hiding from. He stared at you in utter disbelief, wondering how the hell you hadn’t noticed him yet. But then his mind shifted over to how close your bodies are.

He could feel your warmth and he could catch the smell of the typical perfume that you liked to wear. He gulped as he looked you over. It was only your side profile that was visible, but he didn’t care.

Beautiful.

He thought to himself. His eyes wandered over your various features, admiring the curve of your eyes and the slope of your nose. Then, they landed on your lips. Those same lips that he has probably thought of every day for the past few weeks now. Sometimes, at night, he’ll dream of them. Specifically with his lips on yours.

Changmin wondered and wondered. He wondered how they would feel on his, whether you would pull him closer or lean into his chest, whether or not your lips would part slightly so that he could–

He choked on his own spit, causing him to into an obnoxiously loud coughing fit. You jumped at the sound and turned around. And that was when you almost screamed before he slapped a hand over your mouth.

“Don’t.” He frowned. “Sunwoo’s going to think that I’m murdering you.”

You held your breath and nodded until he pulled his hand away. But then you stared at him in utter confusion.

“What are you even doing here? You’re the one who’s supposed to be finding us,” You whined.

“Yeah– I know…” He grumbled. “I was trying to scare Sunwoo.”

You giggled. “Does that mean you found me?”

He shrugged. “I didn’t tap your shoulder yet.”

“You can now.”

His lips curled up. “What if I don’t want to?”

You narrowed your eyes suspiciously. “Fine then. Don’t. Weirdo.” He frowned when he noticed your hand reaching for the door so that you could escape. He liked being so close to you. He liked the scent of your perfume. He liked the way you slightly pressed up to his chest when you faced him. 

He liked you.

“Ah– wait.” And he reached over to tap your shoulder. 

Your eyes widened and you groaned. “You said you didn’t want to!”

“I changed my mind.” He smiled. “Look, now that you’re caught, we can team up. We can– we can stay here and wait for Sunwoo?” He was a very desperate man in love.

You gazed at him suspiciously. “Okay… I don’t know why I’m helping you though.”

“Because we’re best friends, dear.”

You grew quiet, your eyes searching his wordlessly. 

“Friends don’t call each other dear.” 

You bit the inside of your cheek nervously as you noticed how there were only a few centimeters between your bodies. The tension between the two of you suddenly grew tenfold.

“So why do you?”

His muscles go rigid at the question. 

At the lack of response, you leaned closer, so close that he was backed into the wall of the closet. His eyes were round as he gazed at you, his eyes flickering down to your lips for a split second. 

“Tell me,” You demanded quietly. “Why do you call me dear?”

Your chest was now completely pressed up to his. There no longer was any distance between the two of you. It was just your eyes talking: the way he gazed at you so, so affectionately and fondly and the way your own softens at his nervous expression. 

“I…” He stuttered. “W–we’re supposed to be… looking out for Sunwoo.” His hands were sweaty now.

“If you would answer me first.” You raised an eyebrow.

Changmin squeezed his eyes shut with embarrassment. It was now or never. His hands wandered to hold your waist, pulling you closer with a sudden burst of confidence. You inhaled sharply.

“Because I like you,” He breathed out. “I like you so much.”

Immediately, your cheeks began to flush. He stared at you earnestly, waiting for a response. You opened your mouth to say something–anything.

“Changmin, I–”

But suddenly, a rush of light floods into the closet. You two blinked and turned to where the doors had burst open. 

“This game is getting boring,” Sunwoo complained to himself. “If someone would just hurry up and chase me or something…” His eyes wandered until they landed on where you were pressed up against Changmin, whose cheeks have turned pink. “In the middle of a hide-and-seek game? Makeout some other time,” He grumbled and turned around, throwing his hands in the air.

The two of you sprang away from each other awkwardly. You turned to him with red cheeks and jerked a thumb at the door.

“You should– get going.”

He nodded curtly and stood up. But before he walked away, he turned back around.

“Forget everything I said. I shouldn’t hav–”

But he squeaked when you pressed a quick kiss to his cheek. His words were caught in his throat as he looked at you, smiling like an absolute loser in love.

“Oh,” He breathed out with a laugh. “You kissed me.”

“Shut up.” You shoved him. “We’ll talk about this later. Go get Sunwoo, dummy.”

“Okay, dear.” He winked. You only stared back with a completely straight face. But, as soon as he left the room, you couldn’t help but giggle to yourself, your hands coming up to hide your face. And it wasn’t to hide your fake crying this time.

It's just a small one this week, because I don't wanna give too much away.

“I forgot how comfortable your guest bed is,” June says as she stumbles down the stairs on Saturday morning and joins Alex in the kitchen, no doubt summoned by the smell of fresh coffee. “Buen dia, hermano.” She presses a kiss to Alex’s cheek and goes to fetch two mugs from the cupboard above the counter.  Alex smiles and reaches out to ruffle her long, unruly curls. “You say this every time you come over,” he teases, before handing her the cinnamon. “Nora still sleepin’?” “Nah, she’s up,” June says, pouring coffee in both mugs. “She’s taking a shower,” she then adds with a grin and a quick raise of her eyebrows. “Christ, that’s gross,” Alex complains.

wh0 is the best OC youve ever created hand down and like a total list of all OCS

I wanted to wait to answer this until I had a digital artwork completed of every OC that I have, bc a lot of them I’ve only ever hand drawn (my favorite ,, I love me some good pencil to paper art)

But , I figured I’d be waiting forever, bc with so much going on, and so many other drawing projects I have in the works, this ask would be long forgotten until I saw it in my inbox months down the road and went oh fuck me ,, I forgot to do that.

Sooo , to answer the first part of the question, I don’t think I have a ‘best OC’, because I literally love all my sweet babies so much. They all have their beautiful qualities, and all have their lil garbage ones. They’re all such well rounded characters HHHH, and I want to squeeze them all to death in my arms in one giant group hug.

They would probably hate/fear me if they ever were actually in my presence because, well, I’ve put all of them through some pretty fucked up shit. Some worse than others LOL.

I will now compile a list of all my OC’s.

Totally Not Flustered

I almost forgot how simple it is to doodle Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! characters and backgrounds, and was surprised that I was able to get this finished so quickly, haha!

But uh, yeah. Pure nostalgia is what drove me to doodle this pic. Widget and Walden have always been my faves, and I remember that my good friend @jordby got me into the idea of shipping the two. I know I tagged them as the “brains and brawn” ship in the WIP, but technically speaking, Widget also has the brains to keep up with Walden, albeit more in a “street smart” way where as Walden’s more book smart. Their dynamic really reminds me of Zeeter and Multo, in that one likes to be in the thick of things and takes action, while the other likes to study things to find the solution. That’s probably another reason I like them so much, heheh 🤭

The background I doodled here is taken from one of the episodes featuring Widget’s workshop. I was able to test out some markers I got from my job and some cool erasable colored pencils, only the marker that I used died halfway through 😩 I still managed to get it done. Also, I know neither of them are this tall/short, but I figured it’d add more dynamic to the pic. And I had fun playing around with their eye colors. Blue fits Walden perfectly, while going green for Widget took a bit of testing, but it turned out nice!

I can’t really provide the context behind this pic, other than a smug/amused Widget and a flustered Walden is more than enough context. Widget’s like, “Really? Ya wanna try that?” And Walden’s like, “I’d rather you forget everything I just said.” XD

13, but really 7, because all but one of them are Finnish and English language versions of the same stories sjdfnasdfj

3. What fandoms do you write for?

Well,,, the fandoms I’ve published fic for are Hetalia (kringelis krongelis i know) and The Owl House, but when you add WIPs there’s also the Mandalorian, Noragami, and BNHA, and there USED to be HTTYD and GNG as well. Yeah the last one is the old anime where dogs fight bears. What can I say it’s really popular in Finland, Hopeanuoli 4ever

4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

hands, grasping (the one TOH fic so no surprise there), Six Sunflowers (which is the oldest), Traitor’s Glory, Two Boys, Two Moments in Time, and lastly December 30th, 1929. 

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

I mean I do try! When I leave comments it’s always nice to get answers, so I think it’s just nice to answer others. :) I do have some comments atm I’ve not answered but. Well. Just look at my url lmao

6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

LMAO. I have no idea. I’m just going by the published ones here, but like: character seemingly falls to his death, character finds his mom’s dead on his 9th birthday and is left with his two other underage siblings to fend for themselves in the 1930s ussr, character resigns himself to the fact that his siblings probably hate him as he’s starving to death in a prison camp. Which one’s the angstiest? You choose!!

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Lmaooo well none of them are really _happy_, uh. I think Laid Down By Human Hands has probably the most neutral ending, whereas Six Sunflowers is more bittersweet, but like the sweet is there… And then Two Boys isn’t terrible either? Like it sucks a little cuz that kid’s living in WWII time Finland ya know, but it’s _fine_. I dunno! In truth it’s probably the fic on anon that’s the least terrible, but even that ending’s not a _happy_ one, it’s got unrequited pining in it lol.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

Nope! So far at least! I don’t think my fics are popular enough to get it haha.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

Nope! I’m almost strictly a gen writer, aside from like. 2 AUs and one TOH wip. I guess some of the WIPs could potentially and maybe should have some fade to black kinda scenes because they’re stories involving a fair amount of romance and in one of them it’s even kind of relevant to the plot. But yeah no. 

10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?

WELL, okay. You see, I actually started out writing via original fiction? I was like 12 when I made up a story based on a long-lasting play-pretend during recess thing I had going on with my dear friend, and it was. Written and plotted by a 12-year-old. But THEN I got really into the How To Train Your Dragon movies, and then I crossed over my story and HTTYD and then tried (still kinda low-key sorta in the process of) to separate it into my original story again, but this time with dragons! So that’s. Like the craziest journey ahfijsd my original as-of-yet unwritten fantasy story has a crossover sequel with HTTYD lmao. Also just occasionally I think about a potential giant crossover that’s got allllll my faves meeting and interacting, but that’s solely for daydreaming and “lmao wouldn’t it be funny if” -scenarios in my head. I’ve later also crossed the characters from my original story with other ones I’ve liked, in my head lol, but I don’t think I’ve written out any. Other than the TT x HTTYD hybrid. (TT is the WIP name for that original story. it doesn’t stand for anything anymore tho lmao it’s just tt)

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Nope! Not to my knowledge, at least! Again, my fics don’t get enough hits/are too niche for anyone to think about stealing them, I imagine. 

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

Yeah! Almost all of them! By me. What can I say, I try to fight the good fight to keep my native language alive on the internet and also in my head. 

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

No. I did once talk about the possibility with a friend, but nothing ever came out of it. 

14. What's your all-time favourite ship?

Hhhh. This is very silly but I don’t really actively ship stuff, and rarely think of ships outside of when I’m watching or reading the source material or something. Thus the one I can feel confident in saying I ship is a…. oc x canon ship sshfskjfsidkfajksaf or maybe it’d be more accurate to say oc x mutated blorbo version of a canon character lmao. It’s mainly in. 2 AUs that have so little to do with the source material that they might as well be original fiction and probably by this point mostly are lol. 

15. What's a WIP you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?

GHHH I want to finish ALL of my big 5 main WIPs because I love them dearly and want to read them, but then again. I don’t know if I ever will because I can’t get myself to fuckin WRITE any of them. So I’m just gonna say all of my main WIPs. That is:

TT (original fantasy story thing)

home front fic (historical fic set in WWII Finland about the friendship between a kid and the soviet POW sent to work on his home farm)

Kingdom AU (girl from the country accidentally befriends the crown prince and there’s politics and they fall in love and some cool stuff and some less cool stuff happens. hard to summarize cuz i’ve never had to, target demographic is like. three people + me. here's the aesthetics and vibe blog it's got)

sad BNHA fic (what if. Eri got ofa. but how? i murder someone to haunt the narrative. easy. sad. sad bnha fd. naming skills on full display here) 

anddddd. hypothetical TOH fic (what if i came up with what happens after TTT before the two other eps of s3 came out and stayed on that path. what if the first thing i wrote about it was hunter falling off a cliff to his death. what then).

Kind of also TOH fic 3 (it’s about evelynnnnn) but that one is. Hopefully. Shorter and has the outline all written out so there’s a bigger likelihood of me finishing it someday. And to be fair the hypothetical TOH fic isn’t that long either, I could get it done, one day, but then the other ones have grown to massive size plotwise so I don’t know if I could ever get them done, actually. I hope so! But ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

16. What are your writing strengths?

I guess my plots are sometimes kinda good? Sad BNHA fic and Kingdom AU are pretty cool on that side. I used to be pretty good at writing dialogue too, but that was back when I a) wrote regularly, b) read a lot, and c) socialized. So. But I used to be good! though back then my plots were real frickin weird lol. in my defense. i was 14 to 17.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Writing itself. That’s the only answer I’ve got because recently I haven’t written enough to know what I’d be bad at. So just. Writing. See I can plot without writing, that’s why I’m good at that lmao

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

Sure! Hell yeah! I’m gonna do that! I have done that! I love it, I love languages. Though translations are appreciated. Though I think it should be for emphasis, more so than just writing it in the language just for the hell of it (though like I had a wip where all the spoken dialogue was to be in Russian because there was so little of it and it was simple enough that I could do that, but i lost my notes for it). I think if it’s just normal dialogue and the pov character knows the language, it’s best to just add like, “they said in Finnish” to the dialogue tag, especially if there’s a lot of it. 

In my personal opinion, also when the character doesn’t know the language, I probably wouldn’t write it out? But then if a character knew the basics of the language and it was maybe one sentence I would write it in the language. Or if it was a really important line, like someone telling another character they love them in their native language, or a culturally significant thing, like, idk the adoption vow in mando'a in the Star Wars universe. But sometimes it’s also just fun to show off your own language skills! So overall, strongly encouraged. Just. Try not to use Google Translate (etc.) for it jfajfasjdn

19. First fandom you wrote for?

Hhooo. Probably the Ginga-fandom, but that one was so brief it barely counts, so I’ll say HTTYD because of the crossover thing. If it’s just fanfic without crossing it over with my own original work lol then Hetalia. 

20. Favourite fic you've ever written?

TRAITOR’S GLORY!!!!!! I got to talk about my rather niche but intense area of interest in it, which is Soviet POWs in Finland during the Continuation War 1941-1944. Well, that’s the finished one at least, there are some snippets of WIPs I’ve not posted nor finished that are also very good. Imo. But. Yeah. Most of the other favourite stuff I have, concerning my fics, hasn’t been written. So. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ But Traitor’s Glory is pretty nice. :)  Thanks again for the tag! I hope you don’t mind me asking but I got curious about your writing process for FTF & CTF. Like you’re very much aware of where your fic is going what inspired it and already know what would be spoilers and what isn’t for us your in love readers. I hope it’s not a bother to ask and if you don’t wish to answer that completely understandable. I just wondered how you planned out the universe and plot for this ship so effectively and efficiently.

Also i can’t remember if you ever tagged it or not but was there going to be like angst in this fic? (Not asking for like tagging reasons but just because I wondered with Aemond’s personality we’d be getting dumb blond brooding and grandma Vhagar two days away from kidnapping Jace and Aemond to an island and flying away. Targaryens and their emotional constipation feelings about family)

it's not a bother to ask at all!! (though probably not that interesting to hear haha) i have an overactive imagination that has a tendency to make connections really quickly and if the material i'm working off of is anything based in fantasy, that ability only compounds lol. my brain will make large connections (i.e. major events i want to write/read) first while also running smaller details in the background and the longer i leave both to sit and marinate, the clearer the narrative becomes. it's all very chaotic by nature so i'll try to keep as much as i can organized on a good doc - since i can always delete certain plans later - and just keep reminding myself of where eventually i want the story to end up.

there's a lot of scene/plot planning that happens but i also try to leave myself a lot of room to play outside of stuff i KNOW needs to happen bc i don't want the fic to feel bogged down or like i'm just crossing things off a list. i mentioned in my ch2 author's endnote that i like giving my stories "room to breathe" bc i want them to feel organic rather than mechanical. hitting the right emotional beats is really important to me (what are humans if not highly-emotional beings after all, isn't that just terrible and beautiful?) so there's a lot of internal deliberation abt how characters would respond & react to certain things that i think abt every day in order to avoid the pitfalls of treating them less like complex people and more like hollow puppets on my strings. when i write, i aim to imbue my fics will life and life can lead us down unpredictable, frustrating roads haha

taking all that into account, it's pretty much why i don't have a set update schedule. i tried to do the monthly thing releasing the first ch of CTF a month after FMF but it became clear almost immediately that that wouldn't work just bc, by that point, the story had grown too large for me to tell it the way i felt it needed to be told in such a short time. plus uni responsibilities factors into it too and updates get postponed even longer than i would ever want them to (boo👎🏼👎🏼)

and research, a lot of research goes into me planning these fics lolol and often times bc i haven't read f&b i have to cross out ideas and change certain details i previously (incorrectly) believed and/or don't wanna keep

oof that was so much rambling again😂 but to answer your second question, for some reason i thought i already added the angst tag to CTF and clearly just forgot. ik you said you're not asking for tagging reasons but for me personally, it was v irresponsible of me considering jace has already had at least 2 panic attacks at this point and well...everything else. tagging my fics appropriately is important to me bc i never want to trigger anyone unnecessarily and i know we all have diff thresholds when it comes to how comfortable or uncomfortable we are with certain subjects. i'll add it here in a bit, thank you for reminding me!! it's esp. important bc yeah...there's definitely going to be more angst moving forward...no spoilers tho my mouth is sealed🤐😶‍🌫️

I've had this intrigue about the oxygen mask/tank for a while. My grandparents used/use oxygen for health issues and we need a humidifying bottle so the oxygen can work but I've never seen that when Matty uses oxygen, maybe it's part of the 'bit'? (For reference this is the tank my grandpa used to use)

About the episode being in full color, remember that Episode 3 had parts in full color (the fort 🦋) so I'd make sense that episode 4 would be in full color. You can notice the contrast from ATVB being in Black and White maybe representing Truman's persona, a 'void' consuming you to SATVB being in full color and "outside", maybe trying to be yourself (Matty's name tag) (?)

I still think the primo could've been apart and maybe atpoaim 4 could've explored more about the concept of the fort and Matty's struggles with being earnest. But as you said, we don't know if Matty changed his mind. I was wondering about something he said yesterday about the episode being America's promo, would we get a different promo for each continent or it'd be the same for everyone?

I almost forgot, America was the first place where ATVB started and it's going to be the first place where SATVB will start, so maybe that's the "going back to the roots" theory? Matty going back to the begging to replace Truman Black?

I do like your idea for each leg of the tour having its own video! Maybe they all complete a narrative or say something when put together. Or like depending on which order you put them in.

SLDKJFHSK no i could not do a hiatus i fear…like yeah individual stories of mine go on hiatus all of the time because i start them and then don’t feel like writing until i randomly get motivation months later but me going on hiatus from being online is like antithetical to my character i NEED my phone time talking with my online friends hehe it was like actually terrible when i was gone for two and a half days i couldn’t even make it through the full 36 hours 😭 and omg you’re so right i could never be gone when bllk season2 is on the way!! just barely a week until it’s out AHH

HELPPP no he was such a silly teacher he did not gaf…i took calc 2 my senior year of high school and bro would make fun of us like i remember one time someone asked him what math he took in high school and he was like “i never took calculus in high school because i wasn’t a nerd like all of you” LMAOOO it sounds mean but he was really chill and funny (plus he was a really good teacher too) so i loved him…my friends and i made jjk ocs of some of our teachers (i wish i had a reason but it truly was that we had the free time) and i think his was my favorite he even features in the one megumi story i never talk about online because it’s so dependent on the high school teacher jjk oc lore that i could never post it but it’s SO special and dear to me even though i’m not into jjk much anymore

SAE A LOAF OF WHITE BREAD HAHAHA no because i would defend him but even giving him personality in oaeu made him feel like he was leaning ooc?? like wdym he makes a couple of sassy jokes and suddenly he’s not even himself?? that’s just not a character i fw i fear…yeah the jjk ending was. well. it was something!! idk like i said i wasn’t super impressed at all honestly i’m probably not going to engage with much jjk content for a while just because the ending was so…yk. anyways i saw a really interesting video on tik tok (during my self imposed isolation so sadly i didn’t save the link) that was talking about how animanga tends to rely on the visuals aspect of the storytelling which allows authors to get away with much more simplistic worldbuilding that doesn’t get explained as thoroughly and this also seeps into the plot/characters as well and i really think that that’s something that impacted jjk — there were definitely points where there was more flash over substance (in my opinion) and the magic system is definitely unique and well thought out in some ways but also unnecessarily convoluted in others?? it’s a story that would not at all hold up as a novel which again different medium of storytelling but if key elements of the plot/world like cursed techniques such as hollow purple fall apart when you cannot physically show them to the audience (just think about if you had to read gojo explaining his technique and then he just uses it on paper SKLJFHS it’s so anticlimactic lowkey) then that’s a marker that more groundwork needs to be done 😭 people who glaze relatively basic shounens like jjk for being peak writing and having amazing character dynamics etc etc (in my opinion and this is controversial hence why i’m hiding it in our chats) need to go read like…actual books (or even light novels) because if you think that gojo and geto is the most interesting dynamic conceivable then i fear you are cooked because number one craziest mira take they are NOT that special/compelling/appealing to me like i can see why people might like them but they are so normal and average to me in terms of writing 😰 READ ORV OR SMTH whatever kim dokja and yoo joonghyuk have going on is 10x more fascinating (superior white x black duo sorry not sorry)

NO WAIT WE NEED TO EXPAND ON THE BAROU VISION just like first of all i can so easily imagine him in a royal guard uniform holding a sword and being all stern but immediately caving as SOON as you bat your eyelashes at him and letting you get away with things like sneaking out of the palace as long as you take him to look after you but he starts falling in love with you when he realizes you’re not as stuck up as the rest of the royals (yes i did steal this from the megumi fic what about it…) imagine we get aikulations in here via aiku also being a royal guard to like. fucking sae or smth…omg wait yeah imagine you were sent to marry sae and barou’s your guard and aiku’s sae’s guard so he occasionally pulls up, says smth sassy/wise/meaningful/borderline insulting and then he just leaves (bonus points if niko’s his squire) AHHHH omg hold on imagine we throw in a little tullia and aiku subplot while we’re at it…i would say bring back elakshi but she’s deadass public enemy number one i’ve gotten so many comments on wattpad hating on her to the point that i’m abt to delete my work off of wattpad and be like “sorry but you all suck”…anyways so instead of elakshi we could have a may ducat comeback i suppose ��� if i didn’t have a bazillion things to be doing and a royal au following almost exactly the same plot for jjk already (which lowkey idk if i’ll ever finish given my motivation for jjk rn) i’d fr be attending to this but alas. pursuit and my requests are taking precedence rn

ooh vivillon colors…iirc it was just based on what country/region your ds was set to!! so like depending on where you lived irl you would get a diff vivillon but since pursuit obviously takes place in one region where the outside world has no bearing i’m going to say that it just depends on where you end up evolving scatterbug into vivillon (maybe like an evolutionary advantage thing in terms of camouflage??) i think niko’s based on vibes would be the jungle variant and tullia’s is either the meadow variant (which is like the really famous pink one) or the savanna one!!

LMAOOO yukimiya cannot escape the fwtkac menacing karasu role i think it’s so funny how in actual canon we honestly barely see him interacting with karasu (actually i cannot remember if we ever see them have even a single conversation it’s very much so tabieita + ken…bro’s fr just ken 😓) but in the miraverse he’s always pulling up and accidentally making karasu miserable by being too perfect 😭 PLSS otoya’s like “i was never even there baby i was an illusion” so hollyhock mysterious core of him

PLS i lowkey was looking through the account they’ve also made these gorgeous blue and gold rose dividers that would be PERFECT for kaiser i was going to reblog those too and be like “ok kaiser girlies come on now” and then i remembered that i actually also have to write for kaiser now…tbh i don’t usually use super embellished dividers those!! like i prefer to use plain lines and let my headers be aesthetic but lowkey maybe the move for this event will be no headers only ask response + pretty dividers because that’s less work for me SLDKJFHDS

AHHHH my wrist is feeling much better today!! i tried to write smth and my body took a screenshot so i’m giving my hand the weekend off but she’s feeling much better already and same with my eye!! i can use my contacts again on like tuesday ish so hooray for that (i actually don’t mind my glasses as much as i used to in the sense that i don’t think i look horrible with them anymore and everyone actually says i look really cute BUT they hurt behind my ears because i’m not used to wearing them for long periods of time so i cannot wait to retun to my beloved contacts and seeing how i like)

i feel like mentally and emotionally i do NOT have the space to start smth new so it’ll probably be one i’ve watched before…cloy was the first kdrama i ever watched (only last december!! i am very late to the kdrama game) so it might be time to revisit that one since i haven’t rewatched any of the ones i’ve already seen yet 😩 i also really really liked a time called you so i could def go for another watch of that one 🤩 and i can’t rewatch yet because i literally just finished it in july-ish but i watched this one on netflix with my mother about a vet that gets psychic powers and has to team up with this police officer (tbh reader and noel noa coded) and i wasn’t expecting much out of it but it ended up being really funny so i do think that’s one i’ll probably watch again when i’m bored or looking for something silly to lighten my mood

It is very apparent to me I have a type in both women and men. As well, yes, I still have major crushes on the live action character's thespian.
