YOU!!!!!
GIVE ME WATER DEW BONDING WITH AETHER PLEASEPLEASEPLEASE I AM BEGGING ON MY HANDS N KNEES RNNN 🫶🫶🫶
MMEEEEE???!?? hehehe say less... Some aren't bonding but just them bc I'm NOT normal about those 2
Once they got past the hiding stage, or at least better than it used to be, they honestly spent a lot of time reading together! Aether would find one about some niche interest they both shared and he'd read to Dew, and then it'd be Dew's turn. Aether would always stare at Dewy as he spoke, how his tied back hair still managed to have loose strands fall next to his cheek. Just humming and suddenly forgetting what's actually being read to him as he's so entranced with the little fish right in front of him.
How they'd sit in the practice room, just them, always doing some type of parallel play. Aether strumming his acoustic hagstrom while looking over his own music while Dew is cleaning his basses, catching little glimpses at Aether and face getting SO warm. He just didn't know there'd be times Aether just watched him with admiration before looking away so he didn't get caught.
Now when they got SUPER comfortable with each other and Dew's honest personality started coming out; they had a little game with each other. Who could hypnotize who first. Dew, with his siren songs or Aether, with his quintessence. So many times Dew won, just softly singing to Aether who's on his knees and just admiring with this drunken look — but a few times Dew would be a puddle in Aether's hold with eyes full of stars, leaning against him.
When they first bonded together, they didn't mate which was super unnatural. Dew simply wasn't ready, and Aether respected that. How they ignored their own instincts and just held each other tightly through the night. It wasn't for a while until Dew felt comfortable enough to finally mate with him, and man :( it was so gentle and slow. Aether has always been the kinda guy to have candles lit in the bedroom, and Dew will ALWAYS associate the smell of cinnamon and vanilla for their first time together.
After they were forcefully retired, Dew finally started the conversation of moving in together. Aether absolutely wanted it, and they had begun filling out the form (which was needed at the time) for a room change. Eventually, though, that form was approved but only after Copia arrived. Dew no longer had a sense of what he wanted. Although approved, Dew still has a separate room with all of his old stuff that he only goes to when he needs alone time. Otherwise, he and Aether share his.
"Firefly" came from Aether watching as Dew's bioluminescence kept going in and out while passing through tunnels on the tour bus. He knew it was just because of the lighting but he still found it beyond adorable. "Teddy" came from Dew half asleep and kept whimpering needing his teddy bear he had at the time, stumbling into what he thought was his bunk but instead Aether's and clinging to him.
Dew was a Fergie lover back then, and so many times would just be singing and dancing with Aether in his room. Glamorous and Clumsy was his favorites, and Aether finally gifted him the CD one day and ever since then for like three whole months, you could hear Fergie in the den. Aether got SOOO much shit for it by the others bc to be honest, after hearing Fergalicious after so many times can drive someone mad, but Aether didn't mind. He'd eventually start singing Fergie without realizing and Dew would get SO fucking excited.
There was a brief period where Dew would suddenly bite Aether, and Aether would never figure it out as to why or what would trigger it. They'd just be cuddling and then BAM, his arm is bit. They're making dinner, Dew reaches over on his tiptoes and bites his shoulder. Every time Aether would ask "What was that for?" Dew would just purr soooo much and stay silent. To this day, he still doesn't know that it was Dew laying claim on him. Water ghouls and biting man....

This is for @anonymouslymadebydesign
I'm so sorry I don't know how to Tumblr properly I messed up your ask 😭 (if anyone saw me post this one for 3 minutes and then delete it, no you didn't)
Here's how to differentiate all the current ghouls, explained as best as I can!
Dew :
First we have our lead guitarist, nicknamed Dewdrop or Sodo. He's most often seen playing his white Stratocaster guitar, which is a great way to identify him. He's the smallest of all the men in the group and also has a very small frame that matches his height.
He's arguably the easiest to recognize with the costumes on because he's the only one with white horns on his mask. He usually wears his sleeves rolled up and has a black compression shirt underneath. If his sleeves aren't rolled up, you'll notice he has no ruffles at the cuffs. He wears a balaclava over his mouth and nose
You know how they say the smaller you are, the closer to hell? Yeah that's Dewdrop. He's our angry gremlin, he likes to throw stuff at people. He also has a very distinct posture. The way he walks and stands, at least to me, inspires authority, it's almost intimidating.
Phantom :
On rhythm guitar, we have Phantom or Aeon, people couldn't agree on the nickname. He plays a black Fantomen guitar. He's a bit taller than Dew and has a similar frame.
His mask has scratch marks in the leather on the left side. He also wears his sleeves rolled up with a compression shirt underneath, sometimes they're kinda rolled the "wrong" way around so he looks like he has bell sleeves. His cuffs also don't have ruffles. He also wears a balaclava over his mouth and nose, it took him a while to know how to wear it properly because it used to stick to his face so bad.
He's the newest and he tends to act a bit younger too if that makes sense? He's very playful with the audience and thrives on interactions (my personal biggest brag is playing a game of rock paper scissors with him when I saw them live. He's very flexible and will not hesitate to throw himself on the floor.
Rain :
On bass we have Rain. He plays a couple different basses in the show. If you tend to get confused with instruments, your best bet is to count the strings. A regular guitar has 6 while a bass guitar has 4. He's taller than Phantom and Dew but he still has a small frame, he's our lanky boy.
They changed most of the ghouls' masks this summer so this is not a 100% method anymore but his mask used to have a little patch on the right side that one of the horns was poking out of. His nose is always poking out from underneath and he wears tape on the bridge of it. He rarely rolls his sleeves but it does happen. He doesn't have a compression shirt underneath. His cuffs still have ruffles. He only wears his balaclava over his mouth
He's often classified as shy by the fandom, he acta a bit more neutral on stage than the other ghouls but he does have his moments. He's not very stable on his feet hence the name Rain.
Mountain :
Mountain is our drummer. He's the tallest of our ghoul.
I don't remember what was special about his mask before it got changed but he's often recognized by sheer height alone. After concerts before bows, he can sometimes be seen walking around the stage without his vest and/or shoeless. His sleeves don't have ruffles anymore. He wears a balaclava for official pictures but not on stage, he paints his exposed skin black instead.
We don't have a lot on him personality wise given he's hiding behind a drum kit the entire show. The people who know more about drums than me seem to agree that he has a bit of an aggressive playing style.
Swiss :
Then we have our multi ghoul Swiss (my beloved). He plays a rain shaker, a tambourine and allegedly a black hagstrom viking baritone guitar. He also does backing vocals. He's the tallest after Mountain and our boy is large.
Before they changed the masks, he had a small patch on the left side, kind of behind and below the horn. He rolls up his sleeves with no compression shirt and has ruffles at the cuffs. He doesn't wear a balaclava and can often be identified by his bigass smile.
He is feral. He is The Whore. He will secude everything and everyone in his path. He definitely likes to act very sexual on stage and has no shame in grabbing his band mates in less than appropriate ways. Sometimes he does things that he's the only one to know why. Be warned he cheats at rock paper scissors.
Then we have the ghoulettes
They all have pretty much the exact same uniform without variation at all but they can be differentiated by their body type and personality. They also have capes compared to the boys.
Cirrus :
She's on keys and keytar. She's quite tall and has an average body type. She has her own solo during Mummy Dust on keytar and she's absolutely rocking to it. Loves to interact with fans during it.
Cumulus :
She's on keys, tambourine and backing vocals. She's the roundest of the ghoulettes and she's rather small. In my opinion she's the most wholesome ghoul, she just wanna spread love.
Aurora :
She's on backing vocals and tambourine. Smallest of them all, she makes Dewdrop look like a giant. She has a big personality and she's the ghoulette that jumps and dances around the most.

Molly Lewis - On the Lips - don't know if I'm ready for a full-on lounge/exotica (re)revival, but it's the perfect milieu for a whistler
Consider this your invitation to Café Molly, a lounge bar like they don’t make them anymore. The lights are low, the martinis are ice cold, the banquettes are velvet, and the stage is set for the electrifying talent of whistler Molly Lewis. Molly’s soft-focus cocktail music conjures up visions of classic Hollywood jazz clubs, Italian cinema soundtracks and lingering embraces between lovers. After the exotica stylings of The Forgotten Edge EP and the tropicalia-indebted Mirage EP, Molly wanted to encapsulate the sound of Café Molly for her debut album On The Lips, a dreamy tribute to classic mood music. That spellbinding sound, which usually comes to life in Los Angeles, has also popped up in Mexico City dancehalls, graced the runways of Paris and London Fashion Weeks, and made a magical appearance at a children's fairyland. Molly Lewis’s love for this smoky corner of the world doesn’t end with her songwriting. She is a devotee and an archivist, capturing and enlivening the pieces that endure. She was a regular at the legendary shows by Marty and Elayne, the lounge duo who spent almost 40 years playing LA’s Dresden bar. The duo came to global fame after an appearance in 1996’s Swingers and kept going long after that spotlight faded, finally finishing their nightly residency after the death of Marty at the ripe age of 89 last year. “That felt like the end of an era,” says Molly. But there are still flashes of that world to be found, and she finds them. “I’ve been spending a lot of time in New York lately, where there are a lot more of those moody, classic jazz bars,” she explains. Over the past few years Molly has flexed her one-of-a-kind musical skill alongside Mark Ronson on the Barbie soundtrack, as well as with Dr Dre, Karen O, actor John C Reilly, Mac De Marco, fashion houses Chanel, Gucci and Hermes, and folk rock royalty Jackson Browne. After a performance with longtime friend Weyes Blood on Burt Bacharach’s The Look of Love during a Café Molly evening at LA’s Zebulon, Molly supported the singer on a US tour, introducing her sound to a brand new audience. “I forget sometimes that what I do has that factor of surprise and uniqueness – it is something that most people have never seen before,” says Molly. She too might never have entered the idiosyncratic world of whistling had she not as a teenager seen the 2005 documentary Pucker Up, which details the International Whistling Competition. Equally amused and bemused by the eccentric event, in 2012 she competed herself. Spending her early twenties in Berlin she then moved to LA to work in film – and returned to the contest in 2015 to take home first prize. One evening Molly did a turn at an open mic at the Kibitz Room, a tiny late-night bar inside historic LA deli Canter’s. Her display led to appearances at performance art happenings across the city, and she soon caught the ear of independent record label Jagjaguwar. On The Lips was recorded with producer Thomas Brenneck of the Menahan Street Band, Budos Band, Dap-Kings and El Michels Affair, at his newly-built Diamond West Studios in Pasadena. The pair bonded over the work of 1960s soundtrack composers Alessandro Alessandroni and Piero Piccioni, and, with something of an open door policy during the sessions, a stream of acclaimed musicians ended up across the album’s 10 tracks. With her intoxicating compositions, and wry brand of stagecraft (she might not be singing up there, but she can sure tell a joke) Molly Lewis looks set to join her heroes in the storied lore of the Los Angeles lounge scene and beyond. So pull up a chair, order your favorite drink, and prepare to fall for On The Lips. PERFORMER LINE-UP: On The Lips Molly Lewis - Whistle, guitar, vocals Joe Harrison - Flute, bass Eric Hagstrom - Drums, clave Thomas Brenneck - Organ Written by: Molly Lewis

New Audio: Brainstory Shares a Shuffling and Trippy Ode to Suburban Life
New Audio: Brainstory Shares a Shuffling and Trippy Ode to Suburban Life @Brainstory00 @bigcrownrecords @El_Michels @grandstandhq @shazi_la
Rialto, CA-based soul outfit Brainstory — siblings Kevin (vocals, guitar) and Tony Martin (bass) and Eric Hagstrom (drums) — can trace their origins to the shared common denominator of jazz: With no real music scene in California’s Inland Empire, Kevin Martin and Eric Hagstrom both landed in music school, where they met. Tony Martin, however, relocated to San Francisco, where he studied jazz bass…

There is always talk about the notable basses Geddy Lee uses. The most talked about are the Fender Jazz and Rickenbacker 4001. But there are others he has played throughout his life and career from Steinberger, Wal, Rickenbacker, Canora, and Hagstrom. But the latter two were only used in the early years before his career really started. Here is a rundown of all the basses he used at various points. 1. 1972 Fender Jazz Bass aka “The One” in black 2. Fender Jazz Bass in candy apple red 3. 1969 Fender Precision in sunburst (or tobacco burst) 4. Fender Precision custom Teardrop 5. Rickenbacker 4001 6. Rickenbacker 4080 double neck 7. Steinberger L2 8. Wal Precision Bass 9. Hagstrom H11B 10. Canora Precision Bass (not pictured in original condition or when it was repainted)
