The online journal Makou (https://www.yumpu.com/ar/document/read/66065526/-2021/285) produced by Dia Azzawi and team continues to astound. So many hitherto unseen sketches and testimonies! Look at this sweet “abstract composition” by Hafidh al-Droubi (otherwise not a favorite artist of mine) in dialogue with his children’s drawings. I think of work by Hamed Abdalla in Egypt and others + a story to tell about the psychological production of childhood as a site of unregulated creativity...
