What wouldn't I've given to walk the streets of Orikhiv now. To walk along the river band, looking for swans and battling mosquitoes. To run to my grandfather's house, for my grandma's birthday celebration in a cooled house under the walnut tree, where I lived in my childhood. To breathe in the hot, wavering air of dust and dry weeds, that scolds the airways, and to stand on the hot cement floor porch, looking over the garden, wishing for a shower rain and thunderstorm. At evenings, to hear the cicadas, frogs, and faraway music of someone celebrating summer. To finally feel the temperature drop ever so slightly, to drink warm coffee with a pie of fresh fruit and berries from the garden. To play some game on the overheating laptop, to enjoy starry night, look for constellations while getting scared of sudden noises that is a hadgehog, running through the wilted leaves.

I loved to stop and drink in the moment, even with my hatred for summer. And I missed those calm, peaceful days that will never, ever, come back. And it breaks my heart.

Last year the British hedgehog was officially classified as vulnerable to extinction… . It’s great when we know there’s a little hoglet about in the garden. This one is still fairly young and small (about 5 inches long). It tells us it’s time to get their houses out again for the winter and get on with feeding them up for their hibernation! We love having such wildlife in the garden. Another day another hadgehog drawn with left hand

My right arm is injured so it’s time to learn how to draw with my left one

So here’s what I’d do with Amy in Sonic 3.

She’s lived alone somewhere in Canada her whole life. No idea what a chaos emerald or warp ring is, no idea why she’s got weird powers and pink quills, named herself after Rose Tyler and Amy Pond because she’s a Doctor Who fangirl.

Finds a book on tarot reading, makes her own cards and does a reading right as Super Sonic’s fight with the Death Egg Robot shows up on the news and those two things inspire her to travel to Green Hills.

When someone inevitably sees under whatever disguise she has on and goes “what are you?” she goes “uh...Canadian?” because she also has no idea since contrary to what Sonic may think it is not obvious that they’re hedgehogs.

Ends up meeting Shadow first and since Super Sonic and Shadow look kind of alike especially at a distance(which is how she’d have seen Sonic when he was on the news, there is no way there was a camera anywhere near the action) Amy doesn’t think “oops wrong guy” she thinks “wow, cool hero guy is kind of an asshole when he’s not glowing.” This is thankfully cleared up later.

Starts out with a cobbled together outfit suited to the cold that resembles her classic design and gets her modern outfit when she realizes that she’s gonna melt like that. Also she’s fluffier than Sonic because, again, lived in Canada.

And that’s all I got.
