The long dining table in the great hall is packed with your esteemed guests and their advisors. Sam is seated at the head of the table with you to his left, and Dean on his right. Katherine is seated next to you, and Luther next to Dean, followed by your parents and then various cohorts and so on.

The first course is a bit awkward as you struggle to make polite conversation, but after a few glasses of wine everyone livens up and the interaction seems to come more easily.

“It’s rather hot in here.” Katherine shifts beside you fanning herself, looking uncomfortable in her own skin. “The fire is blazing.”

You look across the room at the flames licking in the enormous hearth. As far as you’re concerned the castle is always cold. Some days it feels as if you’ll never get warm.

“We’ll have someone open a window,” you offer, raising your finger as a servant girl scurries to your side. “Have that window opened and please bring Queen Katherine a glass of cool water.”

The moment the window is cracked Katherine breathes a sigh of relief and you shiver, forcing a smile. Dean’s been watching the entire interaction and looks at you for a moment before gesturing his glass in your direction.

“If you ate more you wouldn’t so cold all the time,” he observes as you focus on him.

Somewhere along the way you and your brother-in-law found yourself at constant odds. You’ve tried, you really have, but Dean doesn’t care for you and makes no effort to hide his disdain.

“Thank you for that helpful advice.” You glare at him.

“You’re too skinny,” Dean continues, attracting the attention of Luther, who’s been making conversation with Sam.

“She looks fine to me.” Luther grins and out of the corner of your eye, you see his wife cock her head.

“She is fine just as she is,” Sam pipes up, eyes honing in on you. “Leave her alone.”

“It’s alright,” you offer, looking down the table desperate for someone to take the focus from you.

Your mother catches your reaction and smiles, all too pleased to take over the conversation.

“Samuel,” she raises her glass in his direction. “I can’t tell you how grateful my husband and I are that you and our daughter seem to be such a complementary match.”

You’re not sure where this is going, but you don’t care for it one bit. Sam seems to sense your unease, he always does. His hand curls over yours where it rests on the table giving you a gentle squeeze.

“I am lucky to have her.” Your husband offers a grim smile. Sam is generous with his affection behind closed doors, but he’s well aware of his appearance, especially in front of Luther.

“What kind words,” she bats her eyes, flicking from you to Sam. “I know all too well how challenging she can be. It seems you’ve been able to instill a level of expectation and discipline in her that her father never had the stomach for.”

You choke on your wine, covering your mouth as your eyes go wide. Dean lets out a boisterous chuckle before gaining control of his demeanor. Your mother has unwittingly touched on the most divisive aspect of your marriage. Heat rises in your cheeks as you stare at your goblet.

“My apologies,” she smirks, looking around innocently. “Have I touched on a sensitive subject?”

“You’ve no idea-” Dean adds.

“Enough,” Sam intercedes, setting down his drink. “We haven’t heard from you Luther, how are you faring with such a cold winter settling in?”

“It’s awful, isn’t it? Frigid, awful white everywhere. And the villagers always complain, they’re never happy with what we give them.”

“This year it’s the rationing of firewood.” Katherine waves her hand, disgusted. “One would think we don’t give them anything.”

“Rationing firewood?” You’re unsure of what that means. “Why would one ration firewood?”

“Perhaps ration is not the most accurate.”

“They tax the people for cutting down the trees,” Dean interjects. “Isn’t that right? Every log comes at a price.”

“It’s fair recompense,” Luther explains calmly. “The trees belong to me, not to mention the services and protections I offer in exchange. But to hear them tell it, we’re heartless.”

“What do they do if they can’t afford the tax?” you press, feeling your loathing of the man rise into your throat.

“They usually find a way,” he sighs. “They always over dramatize the situation. It’s important not to get caught up in the hysteria.”

“But what of families with children?” You look at Sam, who’s wearing an unreadable stare. “And the elderly? Surely it’s dangerous for them in this kind of cold without easy access to kindling?”

“What a bleeding heart your wife has.” Luther is speaking to Sam but looking at you with a look of pitied amusement on his fat face. “There are always deaths in the winter, it’s part of living in a hard country.”

“Deaths?” You’re horrified, trying to understand why everyone else at the table isn’t as appalled as you are. “That’s utterly unforgivable,” you sputter.

“Oh my,” Katherine chuckles, entertained by your reaction.

“Y/N,” Sam’s hand on yours again. “I think that’s enough-”

“I certainly wouldn’t want to make anyone uncomfortable,” you spit, looking around the table. You lean forward to see your father, who’s watching you carefully, his eyes darting to Sam to gauge your husband’s reaction to this outburst. It’s a gesture that makes your blood boil. “Wasn’t it you, dear father, who always told me that the measure of a man is how he treats those most in need?”

“Well, I-” Alexander looks to Luther who’s still in good spirits. “That’s true but-”

“My wife has a soft heart,” Sam intercedes again.

“She certainly speaks freely,” Katherine sits back in her chair, sipping her wine. “I’m surprised you allow such an outburst.”

“An outburst?” You’re really fired up now. “Would you like to see a true outburst-”

“Y/N,” Sam says your name louder his time, his hand curling around your wrist and squeezing hard enough that you sit back, looking to him. “Let’s all take a breath.”

“My wife learned to hold her tongue a long time ago, perhaps you need to-” Luther can’t help himself.

“I do not need advice, Luther.” Sam’s angry now and it’s in large part to you not being able to hold your tongue.

“I’m just saying,” Luther gives you a look from stem to stern before looking to Sam. “If she was my wife, I’d set some expectations.”

“She is not your wife. This is her home and she’s free to share her opinions.” Sam grits back.

There’s an undeniable flutter in your belly to hear him defend you so ardently. You suspect he may not put up such a united front once you’re behind closed doors, but Luther is testing his resolve. He already sees you as Sam’s weak spot and he now knows exactly how to get a rise of him. Sam is quick to jealousy, he can’t control it and Luther has found the trigger.

“Forgive me,” you reign yourself in, taking a deep breath and setting a polite smile across your face. “I had no intention of souring the mood.”

“Of course you didn’t,” Dean chimes in, staring from across the table.

“Let us move on to happier topics, shall we?” Your mother moves the conversation along.

You sit quietly and listen to the chattering going on around you, still seething internally as you watch Luther make a pig of himself. Katherine is no better with her obnoxious laugh and an ongoing list of complaints. First, it was too hot, then it’s too cold, her pudding is much too firm and her wine not sweet enough. You suffer through course after course as the minutes turn into hours. Everyone is a bit drunk by the time the final round of spirits arrive and you want nothing more than to retreat back to your chambers.

“...and that’s how I knew she was married!” Dean finishes his story and the entire hall erupts in laughter. His tales never disappoint and expertly walk the line of humor and impropriety. He does have a way with people, you’ll give him that. Sam’s brother is an expert in disarming and charming nearly everyone, save for you.

Looking to Sam you find him fixed on Luther, his face blank as he’s lost in thought.

Behind closed doors, you’ve found Sam to be a gentle, patient man. He’s a combination of attributes that you would have never imagined could exist in one person. His sometimes gruff exterior and brooding demeanor are offset by a soft touch and his willingness to listen to you with genuine interest. He’s both gentle and fierce when need be, so it’s easy for you to forget that the husband you know intimately is not the same man that he presents to the world. He takes his position seriously, he considers his role as a commitment to the people he rules over.

“Alexander,” Sam speaks up and the entire room falls silent. “Tell me, have you ever had occasion to deal with poachers?”

Luther sits back, looking around the table as if he’s looking forward to another wild tale.

“Yes,” your father nods thoughtfully. “Some years ago, when Y/N was just a child we dealt with bands of men coming into our lands from Westfort.”

“Ah,” Sam nods, setting his wine on the table. “Hunters?”

“Fisherman. They would row across the channel and up in the estuary. They nearly fished us dry one summer.” Looking to Sam your father is not sure where this is going but you have no doubt as you glance up to catch Dean’s eye.

“And what action did you take?” Sam presses on, resting his forearm on the table.

“At first we issued warnings. I spoke with King Harold and we came to an agreement.”

“Will you share with us? I’m in need of new ideas.”

“Of course,” your father has really perked up now, always thrilled to contribute. “Harold announced to his people that the infraction would come with a severe penalty. That worked for a time, then he gave me the autonomy to dole out consequences as I saw fit. Some of the men coming to fish did it to feed their families, we just ran them off, gave them a good scare. But the men who came to poach and sell for profit? They ended up in the stocks when we could catch them.”

“I see.” Sam thinks on this for a moment. “Perhaps you could help me with my problem?”

“It would be my pleasure,” Alexander smiles softly from your husband to you.

“Luther’s men have been poaching wolves from our land. Encroaching further and further-”

“Now just one moment!” Luther cuts him off. “I don’t think this is-”

“It’s not just animals, there have been murders.”

“The culprits remain unverifiable!” Luther contends, thrusting a finger toward Sam.

“Ay, there is no way to be sure,” Katherine shrugs beside you, looking unphased despite everything going on around her.

“Let us not play, we both know they are your men!” Sam shouts, his fist coming down with a mighty bang that rattles the table. “I’m trying to be civil about this, but my patience is wearing thin.”

“I’m not entirely sure I like your tone,” Luther cocks a brow, it’s the first look of genuine annoyance you’ve seen from him.

“Good. I need you to understand how serious this is.”

“Your precious wolves,” Luther waves his hand dismissively and Katherine chuckles. Your mother remains silent and your father tries to keep the peace.

“Perhaps we could sit down later and talk about this.”

“We have talked, and then we talked more. Talking has gotten us nowhere.” Sam's eyes are on fire, boring holes into Luther. His reaction seems disproportionate, leading you to believe that there’s more to the story than he’s shared with you.

“Dean,” Luther turns to the eldest son. “You need to talk some sense into your brother. This is not the way to make friends.”

“Enough!” Sam shouts again, standing with both hands on the table as he leans in. “My brother isn’t the one you should be worried about appeasing. If you refuse to handle this, I will. I’m ordering any man not a citizen of Lebanon to be shot on sight.”

“Sam,” Dean starts but one look from his brother and he falls silent.

“That’s a bit of an overreaction don’t you think?” Luther tips his head, remaining calm and collected.

“We’ll find out.” Sam looks down the table at the rest of your guests, glancing at your father. “Please stay, eat and drink until you’ve had your fill. I’m retiring for the night.”

Sam looks to you and you get up, smiling weakly. “Goodnight.”

“The man is a tyrant!” Sam mutters, pacing back and forth in your chambers.

“I am so sorry. I think I’m the one who set the tone for the night.” You sigh. “But I couldn’t hold my tongue. He’s such an awful man I don’t think it’s acceptable for everyone to act like that. Even if the things he does are-”

“I’m not upset with you,” Sam steps closer, placing a hand on your shoulder. “You once told me that you were afraid that being married to me meant that you’d be seen but never heard. That couldn’t be further from the truth. While it wasn’t the best time to express your displeasure, I won’t ever silence you. At least not on matters of ethics and compassion. You are entitled to an opinion as much as anyone.”

You sigh, smiling up at him in relief.

“I never thought I’d say this, but I agree with your brother. Luther doesn’t serve to live.”

“You think I should have him killed?” He raises an eyebrow. “I didn’t take you for such extremes.”

“By allowing Luther to live, others will die, innocent people.” You can feel the anger returning. “He’s a bad man.”

“Yes, he is,” Sam cups your face, examining thoughtfully as if the physical contact calms him. “I’m going to take care of him, one way or the other.”

You’re not sure what that means but you don’t ask for clarification. Everything surrounding Luther is unsavory and you wish to forget about him.

a quick introduction though i'm kinda uncomfortable, im 17 i run a few blogs on this hellsite and i have some concerns for people's safety. this isn't a petty post either, is genuinely fearful for myself and others she's abused in the past and will continue to do so and it's about time we all came out about this because it's gone on way too long and i blame myself more than anything for holding back. i just felt unsafe and i do more so now but it's worth other people's safety. and everybody knows i'm definitely not one to do something like this and i've had such a hard time coming out about this from guilt. i want to make this short and to the point. i don't wanna take up too much time because we could go off for hours about all of her drastic lies like how she supposedly got hypothermia in 45 degree weather or how she lied about being in a s.chool s.hooting ( one , two , three ) ironically she had sent me a fanfiction of the c.olumbine s.hooters in the past and guilt tripped me the moment i said it wasn't right. or the time she told me she was taken hostage which i might have stayed believing if it weren't for the fact she was roleplaying with a character from that movie on her @lleeta blog not too long ago ( one , two , three ) but anyway.

im never gonna be able to recover completely but i want to reach out and warn people. me and others have gone through her explicit / obsessive / rape roleplays but i can fucking guarantee no matter how many times i was ( or the others ) guilt tripped into saying YES despite how uncomfortable i was but couldn't tell her , she does still do them from what i know. she tends to warp characters ( other muns put in these scenarios have told me the same thing bc she did it to multiple people ) to make them far more obsessive / creepy then they are even meant to be. i'll start out by saying ive known rocco since the end of 2015 or so and we instantly became friends. we quickly made our ocs out to be affiliated, though they were SUPPOSED to be father and daughter (and often i would let her portray an oc i of mine who is supposed to be a love interest), she would always propose obsessive rape plots, and even an explicit plot of a forced marriage au between the father and daughter muses which was clear she wanted to lead to smut (warning for a graphic detail i can't get out of my fucking head was her saying she could imagine hannah / the daughter on her knees being forced to unbuckle his belt but said it as if it were almost ? something she got ? in a way , excited over ??) of course i don't have many screenshots of these things especially because i was isolated by her for about a year at the time , trusted her , and no matter how sick or anxious ive felt getting her messages i didn't really know i had the choice to come out about it , especially considering how hostile she would be when i had friends or even my ex .

( one , two , three , four , five ) we were actually dating at this time, which was a relationship i was basically forced / guilt tripped in after saying no countless times. she would often numb me down when i would say no to things, whether it was her asking to be in a relationship with me or even roleplay, in which at one point i've counted 20+ screenshots of her constantly begging even though i had just declined. at this time is when i was isolated so i don't the have exact proof because again, i didn't know about the abuse going on in front of my face and i didn't known what to do about it. she would constantly guilt trip me over these things and i felt very vulnerable though i do tend to play things off when i'm uncomfortable.

now i'll move on to some more recent -ish shit or at least things i haven't completely blocked out from my memory since that's most of what i have. we've been friends on and off because she had eventually set me off, our first fight being me angry that she couldn't handle when i declined her roleplays. so it's been a long cycle of me blocking her from discomfort, only for her to constantly make or log into old blogs to try and contact me to manipulate me into friendship again. and it worked. too many times. after all of that, she began to test boundaries which is something she usually does. this included throwing attitude for no reason ( i remember a time i was supposed to be making her icons and couldn't at the time and her response was "it's not that fucking hard" // she's even sent me a screenshot herself before of her in a groupchat where one of the participants had said something and told them "literally nobody cares" and expected me to comfort her after that ) + saying things she knows is wrong + stealing or making blatant rip offs of my original character ( one , two , of course there are far more instances like the time she ran @viirginblood but that's not the point of this post so i'm skipping over that ) + bringing up my past relationships / sometimes family or financial issues + constantly bringing up the fact we got in fights i was trying to move past or try to make me feel bad if i didn't reply right away ( one , two , three , four , five / she also acted very controlling to me any time i wouldn't answer so i would be forced to give an explaination and she would pretend it wasn't just her being "worried" ) + manipulating her into following her / bossing me into doing things she wanted ( one , two ). even some new information came to light that i was completely oblivious to; obviously any time i had a friend or a significant other she had no problem portraying blatant jealousy, i was also informed she was acting possessive of me even when i wasn't around, when i was actually NOT TALKING TO HER AT ALL ( one , two ) . which really freaked me the fuck out.

she would also constantly TRY to spite me when we weren't friends. she's admitted it. she's also admitted in a group call, that i still have contact with one of the participants, that she stalked me when we stopped talking and got her friends to "keep tabs on me" i was also informed of her stalking another minor not too long ago and going back to the spite stealing, it wasn't just one oc, it was concept ideas, urls, even going as far to LITERALLY flat out steal the oc i let her portray ( the one she obsessively wrote out rape roleplays with ) , lied by saying it was a "misunderstanding".

shes also is a rapist and pedophile apologist ! she roleplayed dolores of l.olita and a few people including myself can recall her literally posting / asking for a humbert to roleplay with. i don't know a lot about the film / book itself but i DO know humbert is the pedophile who abused dolores. here's some screenshots of her not only apologizing his actions burn theowing a pity party over it, claiming shen had a right to roleplay dolores getting, what i imagine must have been sexually abused ( one , two , three ).

her relationship with her ex, ( for those of you who don't know ollie you can probably easily find some information on him as a fill in on what he's done / warning for rape ) , she helped him catfish / fake his identity to hide what he did, shows hostility toward the rape victim and shows behavior of a rapist apologist again + talked some nasty transphobic shit about me , not to mention again , i'm underage so that's weird that it's focused on my body especially considering she's 18 here, not to mention she's not still obsessing over me when we aren't talking ( one , two ) + on her @roccospeaks blog she had a while back , she deleted the posts but i'm sure plenty of people saw that she and others were claiming that ollie was FAKING A TRANS IDENTITY ( and this isn't a kiss ass moment to him, i'm just pointing this out: this was after she made those transphobic remarks about me so i highly doubt she can blame her transphobia on being "drunk" here ) because he was wearing makeup and had a feminine appearance . i'm pretty sure the post is still floating about somewhere so if you can find it, it's all there . she continued to focus on me despite we weren't talking, blamed me for being the source of her suicidal tendencies that she's had since i've known her, ironically though she's also told me i'm the reason she says alive in the past — and something she thinks blocking her for comfort is a manipulation tactic or game to her ?? / that and here's some of her guilt tripping all because i soft blocked her ( one , two , three )

i had also recently ended a relationship with an ex of mine , which wasn't ANY of her business but she constantly brought her up plenty of times. as shown above, she's was insisting that my vague posts about ending my relationship were about her no matter what i said ( one , two , three ) + doing so either herself or i suspect getting ollie or his friends to send me anons about MY relationship because i didn't tell anybody else about it, but she sure as hell did ! all while putting blame on me ( one , two )

as i mentioned above she was always presenting nasty plots to me; i can't stress the fact that it DID make me uncomfortable whether i decided to play it off or not, but later on, when she was indeed of age, presented to me an old, incestous plot and then had the audacity to put the blame on ME, whenever i strictly recall her wanting to ship them / make the more brothers in the first place. my character had already had a brother, her oc she actually made back in 2016 was a spiral off of this canon character. so even afternoon she blamed me for it, we established that i said no, she still chose to focus on his childhood with romance. again, im not the only person she's has abused like this. and compared to the things she put ALL OF US through, these have to be some of the lightest fucking examples. but i do hope it is enough to keep others safe or be a warning. i also haven't mentioned anybody for their safety, but if you think you would be willing to share your story you can add on or whatever to get it out their. i really hope you can take my word for or it as well, because it wasn't very hard for me to put myself out here but i think i did the right thing for others.

I had an excellent week. I was able to cleanly 'do' the big gallery overhaul, resulting in many changes. This is an important release for anyone who does a lot of downloading.

gallery update

So, the meat of the gallery overhaul is complete! Where available, subscriptions, the gallery downloader, and the url downloader will now use the new parsing system to parse 'thumbnail pages'. The new pipeline has numerous improvements behind-the-scenes and is another important step in allowing users to create and share their own downloaders for new sites.

I won't go into all the details here, but anyone who has poked around the new parsing system's advanced dialogs will now see that gallery pages are now featured.

The important change for most users is that the main gallery downloader page is now a 'multi-gallery' page. It looks much like the multi-watcher for thread-watching, where the one page manages multiple queues simultaneously. Gallery download pages now list every query you enter separately and work on them simultaneously, reducing overall ui load significantly and making it much easier to pause one query without affecting others, spot queries that return 0 results, avoid big chokes and delays caused by larger queues, and manage the results you finally get as different pools. The old single-download page can no longer be created--your existing gallery pages will be updated to multi-pages on update (your existing queues will survive as generic 'updated from' entries, but everything will start paused, so you'll want to go through them, verify it all looks good, and then unpause when you are ready).

And like the multi-watcher, gallery pages can have a 'highlighted query'. Double-clicking on a list entry will show its current thumbnails in the media panel and show its full details in a panel below the main list. This new panel is very similar to the old gallery page's ui and lets you see downloads as they happen and inspect the file import queue and gallery log and so on in more detail.

Gallery download pages are now also downloader-agnostic. You open them just as 'gallery' from the F9 new page popup (there's also a new shortcut for them, under the 'main_gui' set), and they have a new 'gallery selector' button that lets you change the source for the next queries you enter. The gallery selector means that one gallery page can handle queries for multiple sites simultaneously! This new button will always default as 'deviant art' for now, but when I do the last stage of this downloader overhaul--the 'searcher' step--I will be able to add some reasonable 'favourite' options here.

Subscriptions can also use the new gallery parser, and they have the neater 'gallery selector' as well. You shouldn't notice any difference with how they operate--they should just run as before. But after some thought, I have reduced subscriptions' maximum 'first time' and 'regular' file limits to 1000 and written some help on the edit panel to explain this change. tl;dr is: use download pages to do big one-time syncs, use subs to keep up with new stuff. If this 1000 change affects you, please check out the help and feel free to ask me about it.

URL downloader pages also support parsable gallery urls. They only do the single page you add (i.e. they don't start a whole new multi-page search, but this capability will come), but they'll suck up any drag and drop for any working parser. For this week, I've written gallery parsers for danbooru, gelbooru (0.2.0 and 0.2.5), and e621 to get us started. Like with 'file pages', I will roll out more gallery parsers over the coming weeks until all default downloaders are using the new system.

A lot has changed. I have done a whole bunch of testing here and I am overall happy with it, but if you encounter problems with an unusual query or site or anything else, please let me know. If you are the sort of user with 200k items waiting to download in your current session, I strongly recommend you ensure you have a good backup before you update. This multi-gallery page also makes it easier than ever to create a session with lots and lots of files, but I will reiterate that the client tends to get laggy at 50k+ items, so take it easy and make a schedule for big stuff if you can!

There is a little more work to do here to support some unusual situations like tumblr, but the big hump of the downloader overhaul is now done. The 'searcher' change will be much simpler (it is basically just converting samus_aran -> http://safebooru.org/index.php?page=post&s=list&tags=samus_aran and some ui to manage it) and then it'll just be ui cleanup and figuring out an easy-mode share object, and redoing some help, and then we can talk about what we want out of a login manager (including whether it should be put off for something else).

multi-watcher

The multi-watcher also has a new 'highlight' panel just below its list. In a similar way, it has similar ui to the old single-page watcher and lets you inspect the file list and gallery (thread) log. Single watcher pages are removed this week, so all existing single watchers will be updated to multi-watchers. A variety of related single-watcher 'page naming' options and so on are also removed. Rather than be redundantly complicated, hydrus now just has 'url downloader', 'watcher', 'gallery', and 'simple downloader'.

improved the auto url_class->parser linking 'try to fill in gaps' logic to work with gallery urls (this was surprisingly complicated)

subscriptions:

wrote a new gallery pagewalk pipeline for subscriptions, which still does oldest-to-newest url addition and obeys file limits and so on

numerous subscription pipeline and error handling tweaks and improvements, particularly in regards to the new code

subscriptions now have max initial and periodic file limits of 1000. existing subs with >1000 or infinite will be cut to 1000. there is a help button on the edit sub panel to explain why you should do large syncs with the manual downloader and not subs

the ugly and dangerous-if-you-scroll-in-the-wrong-place gallery selector mismash control in the edit subscription panel is now replaced with the new gallery selector button

fixed an issue where the edit subs panels could sometimes say '48 years ago' (i.e. displaying a literal time delta since 0, 1970) on initial timestamps

juggled some 'periodic limit' reporting logic to skip an unusual false positive that affect hentai foundry subs for now and more in future

urls:

the url downloader now accepts gallery urls and will receive drag-and-dropped gallery urls. at the moment, it only parses the one page (i.e. it doesn't start a new 'searching' pagewalk) and sends the parsed links to its file queue

Out of those options she was camped out at Flopped like she started out with her back to the last booth at the back with full view of the room. Just a regular day. The cathedral was perhaps not the smartest location to have picked for a meetup, especially not a long abandoned one. Hindsight was twenty-twenty, but considering the events that even led her to being there in the first place she’d have said she did okay all things considered. Hard to be rational when you were being chased down by a half dozen or so pissed off ghosts. Which on the subject were also a topic of conversation for some sort of churchyard tour going on a few yards away from where she waited.

I wasn’t long before she felt what was quickly becoming a familiar sensation of pins and needles down her back. She followed the feeling and looked over towards the grass, expecting to see Maya, the former- was that the right term?-nurse. Instead there was a trio of ghosts headed her way. Any worry about being approached by any of them were thankfully snuffed out. Seemed they were more interested in trailing what she realized then had to be some kind of ghost tour party going on and watched as a small group followed along slightly behind them.

“This guy’s full of crap,” one of them huffed as they passed nearby. “Most of these you can’t even read the names. You could feed them any old shit, what a load of bull,” he kicked out at one of the markers and passed through it, trailing after the others leaving Cassie alone with her thoughts again.

After checking her watch a few times and wondering why she hadn’t picked somewhere less cold and creepy, like Del’s or one of the fancier places. Somewhere, anywhere warm when her guest finally appeared. As she approached Cassie had been close for a moment to asking how she wasn’t in the least bit cold in just her scrubs like that before she realised her mistake with an inward roll of her eyes. “Hey,” she called over tentatively, taking careful steps past what was left of several grave markers dotted along the grass turf.

As she approached Maya tucked her hands into the pockets of her blue nursing scrubs, shoulders turning inwards, almost hesitant behind the nonchalant expression on her face, “I didn’t think you’d show up.”

“Says the person who’s late,” Cassie countered with a not unfriendly shake of her head. “Right,” back to why she was even here, “so, I did a little digging. Got a picture and um, some background,” she looked away, “with, you know, what happened…I’m sorry.” She tumble that last part out, “but, um, remind me again, why can’t you just tell him yourself again?”

“Any time I get near he’s out of there,” she moved to stand beside Cassie, ankles crossed and leaning against the cathedral wall. She let out a sigh, looking out towards the rest of the grounds. “I can’t get within a mile of him,” she turned to look at Cassie, meeting her eyes, “I just want to see him, set the record straight.”

“And you think he’s going to listen to me, to some random over you?” That seemed likely.

“It’s better than nothing,” Maya’s gaze focused on the ground and into her own thoughts.

There was a lull in the conversation after that. Cassie shifted uncomfortably and cleared her throat, “okay, not promising anything, but I can try.” For the moment at least that seemed to be something.

“About the other thing,” Maya folded her arms, “I want them, the rest of them gone. That stunt back at the General-“ she bit at one of her nails, letting out a huff, “I’m done. Anything?”

“Oh,” she was hoping the first thing would be enough, that maybe Maya would have forgotten she’d even asked about it. No such luck. “Right. About the other thing, Working on it,” not a total lie, “but that’s going to take a lot more work. I wouldn’t even know where to start with that stuff. Might take some time, not sure how much I can get hold of, but I’ll…I can try. Time for a change of subject, “oh,” she pointed her finger, “before I forget, for future reference if I ever need a distraction do me a solid and give me a heads up on the game plan first,” she looked over towards Maya, one eyebrow raised and what she at least hoped passed as slight a teasing smile considering the cold.

“Noted.” Maya gave a slow tilt of her head, “and thank you,” she added after a beat.

“Okay, ‘s fine,” she shrugged it off. She hadn’t done anything yet.

Tracking Maya’s brother down was the least of her worries. Keeping ghosts out might be one thing, but getting rid of them was a whole other thing and a route Cassie wasn’t even sure she wanted to go down. Unless she didn’t have to, maybe she could find somebody who could. One thing at a time.

ALBANY, N.Y. — A federal judge has refused to block New York’s plan to temporarily limit the size of religious gatherings in COVID-19 hot spots.

U.S. District Judge Kiyo Matsumoto issued the ruling Friday after an emergency hearing in a lawsuit brought by rabbis and synagogues who said the restrictions were unconstitutional.

They had sought to have enforcement delayed until at least after Jewish holy days this weekend. The rules limit indoor prayer services in certain areas to no more than 10 people.

The judge said the state had an interest in protecting public safety.

RENO, Nev. — A recent spike in COVID-19 cases at the University of Nevada, Reno is prompting the school to suspend all in-class instruction effective Nov. 30.

UNR officials also are telling most students not to return to residence halls after Thanksgiving.

School officials said Friday they plan for students to return to dormitories for the spring semester and resume a combination of remote and in-class instruction Jan. 25. But during the period in between, all classes will be conducted remotely.

Only students facing extenuating circumstance will be allowed to live in campus housing. In recent weeks, one-out-of-nine of the county’s new cases have been tied to UNR.

ANCHORAGE, Alaska — Health officials in Alaska’s largest city on Friday recommended up to 300 people associated with a youth hockey tournament quarantine or isolate after “a cluster” of COVID-19 cases were identified.

The Anchorage Health Department said players, coaches and fans from parts of south-central Alaska and Juneau attended the tournament, which was held Oct. 2-4.

The department said it encouraged everyone who attended who does not have symptoms to quarantine for 14 days, except to get tested, and encouraged those with symptoms to isolate for 10 days, except to get tested.

Dr. Janet Johnston, the department’s epidemiologist, said that means the department is recommending up to 300 isolate or quarantine.

Heather Harris, the department’s director, could not provide “concrete” numbers of positive cases associated with the tournament. She said the tournament organizers said they tried to enforce masking guidelines and kept a contact log of participants.

Contact trace investigations indicated “significant close contact in indoor spaces, including locker rooms, with inconsistent use of face coverings,” the city health department said in a release.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Gov. Jim Justice announced Friday that bars around West Virginia University in Morgantown can reopen next Tuesday, a month after images of maskless college students packing bars led them to be shut down.

Police and state alcohol regulators will step up enforcement in the college town, Justice said at a coronavirus press briefing. The Republican governor abruptly ordered Monongalia County bars to close indefinitely on Sept. 2 — just two days after allowing them to reopen — as many patrons lined up without social distancing.

The owners of 12 restaurants and bars sued the governor and local officials in Morgantown last month in federal court over the shutdown.

“Bars that don’t enforce these guidelines, where we see a bunch of people packed in with no mask wearing … you will be shut down again,” Justice said, adding establishments risk having their licenses suspended.

County officials previously required bars to cut indoor seating occupancy by half, close dance floors and discontinue live performances and entertainment. Restaurants in the county had been able to continue dine-in service without operating their bars. Morgantown city officials did not immediately return a request for comment.

OKLAHOMA CITY — The number of people hospitalized in Oklahoma due to the coronavirus surged to a record one-day high of 749 on Friday, according to the Oklahoma State Department of Health.

The number hospitalized either with the virus or under investigation for infection surpassed the previous high of 738 reported on Wednesday.

The department also reported 1,524 newly confirmed cases of the virus, the second highest daily increase since 1,7,14 new cases were reported on July 21, and 97,088 total cases. There are six additional deaths due to COVID-19, the illness caused by the virus, bringing the total to 1,091. There were 13,515 active cases of the virus on Thursday, and 82,482 people have recoverd, according to the health department.

NATCHEZ, Miss. — A brother and sister in Natchez have both died of the coronavirus, Adams County Coroner James Lee said.

On Friday, Oct. 2, a 73-year-old woman died of the COVID-19 disease caused by the virus, and her 69-year-old brother died two days later, Lee told the Natchez Democrat.

“I’ve seen an increase in COVID deaths in Adams County in the past month and it’s very scary to me,” Lee told the Democrat earlier this week. Lee said his 25-year-old granddaughter was hospitalized with the coronavirus. “I won’t lie. I’m very afraid of this virus and what I see. I just wish we’d take this thing seriously.”

Mississippi is one of the top 20 states with the most new cases per capita in the U.S., according to Johns Hopkins University data analyzed by The Associated Press. The data was evaluated over a 14-day period.

Mississippi’s state Department of Health said Friday that Mississippi, with a population of about 3 million, has had more than 103,000 reported cases and at least 3,000 deaths from COVID-19 as of Thursday evening. That’s an increase of 862 confirmed cases and six deaths from numbers reported the day before, with the deaths occurring between Sept. 19 and Oct. 8 and recorded later using death certificates.

HELENA, Mont. — Montana reported more than 700 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Friday and has topped 200 deaths since the pandemic began in mid-March. An increasing number of cases in the state’s most populous county likely means residents there will be facing more restrictions to stop the spread of the respiratory virus.

On Monday, Yellowstone County Health Officer John Felton announced case benchmarks that would lead to county health officials to limit the allowed capacity of bars, restaurants and churches to 25%. If the county topped a daily average rate of 40 cases per 100,000 people by the last week in October, the restrictions would begin Nov. 2, he said.

However, if the county topped an average rate of 50 cases per day per 100,000 residents in any week before that, the restrictions would begin immediately, Felton said. Businesses that serve alcohol would be required to close at 10 p.m.

The county has confirmed 439 cases from Monday through Thursday, including 155 on Thursday, health department spokesperson Barbara Schneeman said Friday. If 126 more cases are confirmed Friday and Saturday — the numbers would be reported Saturday and Sunday — the restrictions would be put in place.

The county would likely announce the restrictions Monday but give businesses some time to make adjustments, Schneeman said.

LAS VEGAS — Federal health administrators say Nevada officials must rescind a statewide directive issued several days ago telling nursing homes to stop using two types of rapid coronavirus tests due to the likelihood of false positive results.

The head of COVID-19 diagnostic testing at the federal Department of Health and Human Services said Friday that Nevada is prohibited by law from imposing the ban it ordered Oct. 2.

Nevada nursing homes and long-term care facilities were instructed by state Epidemiologist Melissa Peek-Bullock to quit using point-of-care antigen tests from two companies, Quidel Sofia and Becton Dickinson, because officials found that among the 60 positive results found since July the number of so-called “false positives” was 60%.

The results came from follow-up testing using more definitive polymerase chain reaction, or PCR, tests.

Dr. Brett Giroir, head of COVID-19 diagnostic testing efforts at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, said Friday that that false positives are a fact of life in virus screening, and the value of identifying 40% of true positives is a lifesaving matter for nursing homes.

GENEVA — The World Health Organization reports a worldwide record of 350,000 new daily coronavirus cases.

The U.N. health agency says the confirmed daily high of 350,766 cases surpasses by nearly 12,000 a record set earlier this week. That tally includes more than 109,000 cases from Europe.

British scientists reported the coronavirus outbreak is doubling every few weeks. French hospitals are running out of ICU beds. Spain declared a state of emergency in Madrid because of soaring cases.

WHO’s emergencies chief Dr. Michael Ryan acknowledged the worldwide surges, saying “there are no new answers.” He says although the agency wants countries to avoid punishing economic lockdowns, governments must ensure the most vulnerable people are protected and take measures toward that end.

TOPEKA, Kan. — Kansas’ top public health official warned the state is “losing the battle” against the coronavirus and reported another record increase in new cases.

The state Department of Health and Environment says Kansas reported 1,855 new cases since Wednesday, an increase of 2.9%, to bring the total for the pandemic to 65,807.

The state reported another 40 COVID-19-related deaths, increasing the confirmed total to 763. Twenty-six of those were reported Thursday in Shawnee County, where the local health department reviewed previous death certificates from the Topeka area.

MADRID — Spain’s Health Ministry has reported 12,788 new cases of the coronavirus.

Madrid remains the hardest-hit region, with 2,256 confirmed cases in the previous 24 hours. The second highest was Aragón (487).

The Spanish government on Friday declared a state of emergency in Madrid, where special restrictions on movement are in place.

Spain has more than 860,000 confirmed cases, the highest in Europe. It has nearly 33,000 deaths, the third-highest total in Europe after Britain and Italy.

ROME — Italy recorded one of its highest single-day totals of coronavirus infections, adding 5,372 cases and 28 more deaths.

Hard-hit Lombardy, the onetime European epicenter of the pandemic, added 983 cases and southern Campania added 769.

Campania’s spike in cases has alarmed public health officials, given the region is less equipped to handle a surge in cases than the prosperous north. The regional governor has defended the measures the region has taken to date, but experts warning Italy’s center-south still isn’t prepared for a second wave.

The head of the Italian association of hospital anesthesiologists, Alessandro Vergallo, tells news agency ANSA that intensive care beds could be filled in Campania and the Lazio region around Rome within a month if new restrictions aren’t adopted.

LONDON — The British government will pay two thirds of the salaries of workers in companies that close because of coronavirus restrictions expected to take effect next week.

Treasury chief Rishi Sunak responded to calls from businesses, local leaders and unions to provide a financial package to prevent mass job losses in pubs and restaurants in parts of northern England.

The U.K. has more than 42,600 confirmed deaths, the highest in Europe and No. 5 in the world. It’s likely more because of a lack of testing early in the pandemic, and the British government changing in July how it counts deaths – only those within 28 days of a COVID-19 diagnosis.

The latest daily figures published Friday showed 13,864 new cases. Though down from the previous day’s 17,540, its nearly double from a week earlier.

The daily death toll rose to 87, the highest since early July, for a confirmed total of 42,769.

TORONTO — The Ontario government says its prohibiting indoor dining in restaurants and bars in Toronto and Ottawa for 28 days starting on Saturday.

The measures include closing gyms and theaters after Ontario registered a record 939 coronavirus cases on Friday.

Ontario Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. David Williams says the measures wouldn’t have been necessary if more people had followed public health guidelines by wearing masks and keeping a social distance.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has said Canada experiencing a second wave of the coronavirus.

WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump says doctors have told him that he could’ve become very ill with COVID-19 and credits an experimental antibody drug for helping him recover.

Trump told Rush Limbaugh in his call-in radio show on Friday that he was not in “great shape” and “might not have recovered at all.”

But the president says one day later, he was fine. Health experts say there is no way for the president or his doctors to know whether the drug was effective.

Trump says he is trying to get federal health officials to quickly approve an emergency use authorization from Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, which provides the antibody drug.

He adds it just “wiped out the virus,” which he says has killed five friends.

Health experts say it’s not a cure, but experimental antibody drugs like those are among the most promising therapies being tested. They aim to help the immune system fight the coronavirus. However, they are still in the testing phase and their safety and effectiveness are not yet known.

NEW YORK — Fans of Broadway will have to wait a little longer for shows to resume, until at least late May.

Although an exact date for various performances to resume has yet to be determined, Broadway producers are now offering refunds and exchanges for tickets purchased for shows through May 30.

Broadway theaters abruptly closed on March 12, knocking out all shows — including 16 that were still scheduled to open — and scrambling the Tony Award schedule. Producers, citing health and city authorities, previously extended the shutdown to Jan. 3.

Actors’ Equity Association, the national union that represents actors and stage managers, has urged lawmakers to include arts funding and loans to help those who work in the live performing arts.

LONDON — Dr. Kate O’Brien, the World Health Organization’s director of immunization, says even though fast-track approval processes have been started for COVID-19 vaccines, no shots will be approved unless they can demonstrate minimum levels of efficacy and safety.

She noted the U.S. Food and Drug Administration recently said it would require at least two months of follow-up safety data before licensing a vaccine and advanced trials were designed so researchers could examine data at certain points before the trial’s completion to know if the vaccine works.

Dr. Alejandro Cravioto, the group’s chair, says careful monitoring of any COVID-19 vaccines used in broad immunization programs was critical.

He says there’s a need to “follow the safety of these vaccines for a longer time once they start being used in this much more massive way.” He calls for surveillance systems to be reinforced in countries to evaluate the vaccine’s impact on COVID-19 deaths and other factors.

LONDON — Buckingham Palace says the Countess of Wessex is self-isolating at home after contact with someone who later tested positive for the coronavirus.

The palace says the 55-year-old Countess Sophie hasn’t experienced symptoms but is following relevant government guidelines. Sophie Helen Rhys-Jones married Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex, the youngest son of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, in 1999.

The royals have been touched by the pandemic in the past. Prince Charles, the heir to the British throne, tested positive for the coronavirus in March.

Charles, 71, recovered and described himself as one of “the lucky ones” with only mild symptoms.

Even though Richard had many liabilities with the release of his band’s album, he managed to get some free time, and together with Mark and Stephanie decided to join Anastasia on the first Chicago date when Dead Curse had to return to The Getaway Tour. Anastasia had been so distracted with Richard that she completely forgot to text Josh after the Glastonbury concert and even during the days that followed.

Before heading to Chicago, everyone had a stop in New York where they spent a couple of days off. One of those nights, Richard and Anastasia had their first official date. They went to an amazing sushi restaurant in Soho and she was so impressed about how easy it was to be around him. He was such an easy going guy, he could turn any topic into a deep conversation and she loved that, also his looks were so attractive to her: that brown hair all sleek to the back, his black jeans and black shoes, the way he rolled up his sleeves… He had this sharp style, proper of a big rock band leader, which he was. She liked everything about him, especially the fact he was completely single and he didn’t seem like having too many issues.

After the dinner they walked to a bar where an underground band was performing. Richard loved to discover new bands and that was one of An’s passions too. They had a lot in common when it came to tastes. She was so happy and relaxed and above all, she was calm. She could be herself around Richard and she didn’t have to worry about saying the wrong thing or afraid of a girlfriend popping up once in a while.

That was a great night. When she went back to Mark’s apartment (where she was staying while in New York), she checked her phone and messages from Josh appeared on the screen.

Josh: Is everything ok? Haven’t heard from you in a couple of days – She completely forgot.

An: Yes! I’m sorry! Wanna facetime?

Josh: Sure!

She changed into her sleeping clothes, got in bed and called him immediately.

- Hi – He said on the screen. He was laying on his hotel bed, ready for sleep with his messy hair that made Anastasia smile.

- Oh Josh! I'm still overwhelmed by Glasto. I’m so sorry for not texting you – He smiled.

- Don’t worry. I knew you were alive because of Eric – He laughed.

- Eric was giving you notifications about me? How sweet.

- Well, we were talking about how amazing Glastonbury was…

- Oh my God Josh! It was!

- You looked amazing and everyone sounded so on point.

- There were no mistakes! It was a perfect show! There were moments when the crowd was singing so oloud that I couldn’t even hear myself – Josh smiled once again.

- You and Mandy showed that chemistry you two have, Anthony and Flea smiled so much at that. Nobody had a bad thing to say when we watched you on the screens and, believe me, that is a very hard group of people to please.

- Really? Everyone liked it?

- We had such a great time watching you guys. It was some kind of a small break we all needed.

- I’m so glad to hear that. Did you see how my boots shined?

- Yes – Josh laughed hard – I saw your boots – Anastasia smiled - You look gorgeous – He said.

- That’s because I still have my makeup on. I just got home like a half hour ago.

- You were out?

- Yes, I went to have dinner with Richard – Josh changed his face to a more serious expression.

- The guy from the band you made that video with?

- Yes – Anastasia kept talking without realizing the effect her words were having on Josh – He went to Glasto to join us!

- How cool – Josh said without moving a muscle on his face.

- Yeah. He is really nice. He is coming with us to the first Chicago date also, tomorrow – Now Josh’s face showed anger and Anastasia saw it – Is there something wrong?

- No – Josh said showing that definitely something was wrong.

- Josh…- Anastasia said rolling her eyes – I think I’m gonna call it a night and I’ll see you tomorrow.

- Sure – Josh said – Have a good night – and he hung up.

He acts like such a teenager sometimes, Anastasia thought.

… Josh POV …

Josh couldn’t sleep that night just imaging Anastasia and Richard having a date. This was what he feared since day one: seeing her with another man. It was his fault, he knew it but he wasn’t mentally prepared yet to be in a fully committed relationship with Anastasia. He didn’t feel self-confident enough to keep a girl like her. Now anxiety was attacking again and the only image on his mind was Richard and Anastasia, together.

Josh hadn’t met Richard yet but he googled him. Now he knew how Richard looked like, like the perfect example of a good-looking front man. “Such a cliché”, Josh thought. The guy had a child and was recently divorced. Josh just didn’t see Anastasia getting into such situation, but he was sure that Richard could offer Anastasia something he couldn’t at the moment: stability. Although he started to wonder if Richard was using Anastasia as a rebound.

Anastasia was sure a great looking woman, she was so attractive physically and maybe Richard was only seeing that. Richard don’t know her like he do, he thought.

Josh spent the entire night having a conversation with himself, until the sunlight began coming through the hotel curtains. It was time to face that day, he was going to see An again, he was going to meet Richard and he had never felt so excited and terrified at the same time before.

Josh decided to stay in bed until it was time to leave for the venue. He didn’t receive a text from Anastasia letting him know she arrived in Chicago so he wasn’t sure if she was in town yet. To be honest, he didn’t want to know. He had a show to play that night and he needed to stay focused, so went on his laptop and logged on to Facebook, something he didn’t do often. As soon as his newsfeed appeared on the screen, Josh regretted it. There was a bunch of posts from Anastasia from London and New York, there were a bunch of photos where she appeared next to Richard. Anger started taking over Josh’s body. Suddenly, there popped a video of An and Richard on a plane singing along to the song ‘Crystal’ by New Order, which made Josh remember the conversation An had with him about The Killers and New Order and all those fake bands names… and there was the anger again. An captioned the video with the phrase “Yeah, we love this song”. ‘We’? Josh thought. They’re already a ‘we’? he said to himself.

Josh actually liked that song, so he listened back to it to remember it. Some of the lyrics hit him, so, in that moment, he decided it would be the song he’d cover that night. Maybe it would be a childish move but he wanted to do it, and the song didn’t belong to Richard so, he thought it was safe.

He put his notebook aside and rested his head on the pillow looking to the ceiling. He was just hoping for An to come back from London so he could have her in his arms again and now that wasn’t going to be possible. She looked so amazing on that Glastonbury show, so sure of herself... that confidence gave her such a sensual aura and he just wanted to have her back in his bed, but no. All because of this Richard guy.

It was time for the venue, so Josh got up, had a quick shower, got dressed and walked downstairs to hop on the van that was going to take them there. He walked straight to the stage to do some soundchecks, without making eye contact with anyone, just his guitar tech. After a good forty minutes of trying some pedals, Josh walked to his dressing room but the Universe got in the way and he ran into Mark, Anastasia and… Richard, looking like a GQ Magazine cover, smiling at her and talking to Mark as if they’d known each other for years. Josh tried to avoid them, but Anastasia saw him and called his name. That damn voice that he adored.

- Josh – He hated his name but when she pronounced it sounded like angels calling him.

- Hey! – He turned around and hugged her tight.

- Meet Richard – She had to do it.

- Nice to meet you, man – “Man”, who talked like that nowadays?

- Same – Was all he managed to say.

- I’m excited to see you guys play. Last time I saw the Chilis, John was still in the band! – Richard, Anastasia and Mark laughed but Josh only gave them half a smile.

- Hope you don’t get disappointed – Josh said and saw Anastasia’s face turning serious – I would like to stay and chat but I’m really tired and I’m going to my dressing room to have some rest – He walked away without saying goodbye and he could feel Anastasia’s eyes on the back of his neck.

Josh was so angry and deep inside of him he knew all of this was his fault. He went into his dressing room, grabbed a guitar and started to play it, that always calmed his mind but a few minutes later the door opened and Anastasia entered closing it behind her, she was about to rant, he saw the fire in her eyes.

- Why did you act that rude back there? – She asked him.

- Rude? – He said knowing that was going to make her furious. He loved to see her angry.

- Are you testing me? – She asked back – You were so dry and stiff.

- Sorry. I’m not having a good day – Josh answered.

- Sorry to hear that – She said.

- Are you dating that guy? – Anastasia stood still and he knew she was trying to find the right sentence to say.

- Is there some kind of permission I need from you or something for that? – An acted so arrogant sometimes, always finding the words to make Josh lose his mind. Pushing his buttons.

- I asked you a simple question. Are you or are you not dating that guy? – He said again, he was still angry. She smiled with sarcasm. The atmosphere was tense.

- I went on a date with him but I don’t think you can say we are ‘dating’ – She paused – Yet – She finished.

- So, do you want to? – He asked.

- To be honest with you, yes – He hated when she was that honest. He would rather hear her say no and lie to him.

- What about me? – He saw her opening her eyes big.

- What about you? – She said – What about you? – She repeated – What about me when you decided to go after Lauren?

- Oh, the Lauren thing again? – He wasn’t measuring the words that were coming out from his mouth and he was sure she wasn’t either.

- You have some serious balls to say that – Anastasia put her hands on her waist just as she always did when she was angry – Don’t you think I deserve someone who just wants only me?

- How do you know he wants only you? – Josh asked putting the guitar aside.

- He is not treating me like a side chick, for a start – Anastasia’s face was pure anger at this point and even like that she looked beautiful.

- He is a musician in a big band, he doesn’t want only you.

- Yeah. I guess you are the perfect specimen to say that – He was feeling the rage on his veins.

- He just got divorced, you are just a rebound – He didn’t think about any of those words, they just came out. She stood silent and he could see her big turquoise eyes getting watery.

- Fuck you, Josh! – She screamed and ran out of the room.

The room became a little bit darker when An left, because, even angry, she had the power to light up any space she stepped into. It was like she was a rainbow but Josh was colorblind. He looked at the floor, trying to understand his own attitude. He acted so impulsively, he was doing that a lot lately. Damage was done.

He didn’t come out to see Dead Curse play, but from his room he could hear the music and the people cheering. He just wanted to avoid watching him seeing her on stage, admiring her, screaming for her, just the way he himself had done so many times around the world during the last year. In some way, it felt like Richard was a usurper, taking his place in her life but at that moment, Josh couldn’t see that it was his own fault. He left her alone, he allowed Richard to enter her life. He was blind with rage and jealousy.

Josh went back to the safe place he knew: Lauren. He tried to stop thinking about Anastasia and hearing her singing like angels from the stage wasn’t helping, so he went out and called Lauren on the phone. She was in some kind of party because he could hear the music and the fuss through the phone. They didn’t speak much, she told him she missed him, he told her the same, it wasn’t a lie, and then she hung up leaving him on the line.

He couldn’t deny that this Lauren thing was growing; she treated him well and was always so happy in his company; that gave him joy. Again, he could control her, something that the so-sure-of-herself Anastasia never allowed. He went back inside when Dead Curse finished their set, so he got ready to take the stage.

The first show in Chicago was horrible. Josh missed all the lines and kept messing up the notes, Anthony and Flea kept looking at him angry. He was a mess, but now it was time to play his solo and he made sure Anastasia and Richard were at a side of the stage, this was for them.

By the time he pronounced the first line of the song, the whole crowd at the United Center went wild.

Josh managed to look at Anastasia and she was there, standing still with her big turquoise eyes going even bigger, not moving. He had an effect on her and that was what he was looking for. He didn’t see her the rest of the show, she must have ran away, just like she always did. They were so alike.

Week in Ethereum News, Dec 22, 2019 annotated edition

Regular Week in Ethereum News for December 22, 2019. This is the annotated version.

I’ll probably do a few more of these, as I think any experiment needs to get to a certain number of trials before evaluation. But the response last week was less than overwhelming. Of course it doesn’t help that the second annotated issue will be on Christmas Eve for most of the world, which will probably put the third issue on NYE.

This was a packed edition, and I have a feeling the annotated version will be long too!

The stürm und drang of this week was the Muir Glacier hard fork. Let’s discuss:

Eric Conner first noticed that the bomb was going off awhile ago. It’s true; no one noticed until he did. This is mildly embarrassing for Ethereum, but not a big deal. In a decentralized ecosystem, everyone else assumed someone else was watching. And the risk is very little, because the worst case scenario is exactly what happened: the bomb went off, block times slowed down the tiniest bit, we do a hard fork to fix it.

After Eric noticed, It was decided that this should go into a separate fork instead of the upcoming Istanbul fork, because Istanbul-ready clients were already out and core devs want to make sure everyone has lots of time to update nodes. [This is a mistake in my view, because nodes always get updated - something we saw when we had just a few days to get everyone to update their nodes in Constantinople and it went off just fine. And by the way, the perpetual “oh no, not enough nodes have updated X days out from the fork” is good for headlines and clicks, but almost always a very overblown story.]

So they set a date which was supposed to be Jan 6. It’s not easy to predict how the bomb (”difficulty adjustment”) will interact with the amount of hash power, especially when price volatility affects the desire to mine. There’s also conventions about what block numbers get used, and the desire to not let block times get too long. They thought they were scheduling Muir Glacier for the 6th. They appear to be wrong, as the chosen block number at one point recently was estimated for Dec 31, and then Jan 1. Lots of people whined, some a bit ridiculously so. Some people just like to whine! Note that the people who made the decision are the people most affected by it: the core developers. Estimation is hard.

The dumber thing that Bitcoin maximalists like to repeat is that “monetary policy changed.” That’s misleading at best, though it is true in the very strictest and most literal sense of the word.

The “bomb” or “ice age” or “difficulty adjustment” is not about monetary policy. The bomb’s purpose is to remove the default towards inertia and prevent capture by a relatively small amount of core devs. It forces all of us to come to consensus on what is best for the network. It only tangentially touches “monetary policy,” which is that network issuance of ETH is very slightly reduced as block times go up.

Ethereum’s “monetary policy” is that ETH should be issued to secure the network within reasonable confidence levels, and no more. This is in stark contrast to Bitcoin, who chose an issuance policy and is now hoping, praying, and memeing that 21 million BTC is sustainable. (It isn’t).

The bottom line here is that it’s true that much of the layer 1 talent is working on Eth2. Scalable blockchains that enable web3 has always been the Ethereum vision, so it makes sense. We should all be grateful to the folks who are doing yeoman’s work on Eth1. Peter, Nethermind, Alexey, etc The list could be long.

To sum up this eth1 section: eth1 clients continue to be improving, sync times are going down, and the private networking option of using TOR is very needed. Also: unlike what maxis say, you can run a full Eth node on a Raspberry Pi.

The constant question I get is: when does Eth2 ship? The goal is still the end of q1, though it may slip into April. The beacon chain is moving along toward production. There’s a spec audit due in a couple months. There’s still some work to be done on optimizing clients and nailing down networking, but it’s happening. The research stuff in this week (data availability, Vitalik’s post on a meta execution environment) is aimed at phase 1 and 2.

It’s true that some of that phase 1 and 2 is in some flux. Of course it is! Should we prioritize a two way bridge, finalizing the eth1 chain, seamlessly porting eth1 to eth2, scalability (now!) from rollups, etc? (to be clear, as I understand it most of those things aren’t a question of tradeoffs, more a question of prioritization of dev resources). Personally I think finalizing the eth1 chain should be a priority. Drop eth1 issuance by 90% and stop wasting so much electricity.

Finally, the “staking” will lead to centralization argument drives me a little nuts. Compared to centralized PoW mining? Impossible that it could be less centralized than PoW mining, which is very easily identifiable by any state level actor just by looking at power usage. Plus run by a few mining pools, plus generally geographically centralized, etc etc.

Layer2

Loopring launches the first rollup chain, capacity 1400 transactions per second (not yet 2000-3000 because of operator bottleneck)

Perun’s state channel framework in Go

Rollups are here! Loopring launches their rollup. Now it isn’t yet doing “Visa” levels of throughput but it’s close. There’s a lot of work to be done to make operators capable of doing 3000 transactions per second. It’s not point-and-click to just make a high throughput chain. Recall, for example, chains like EOS which sacrifice decentralization for throughput and still only churn out a few more transactions per second than Ethereum. </trollface>

Solidity v0.6 – “Changes include explicit virtual and override keywords in inheritance, support for try/catch, splitting the fallback function into a receive Ether function and an actual fallback function and limitations on how the length of an array can be changed.” ABIEncoderV2 no longer experimental. Privacy is here: Tornado.cash v2. 10 ETH and 1 ETH now supported. Also now supports DAI, with USDC and USDT coming. Plus withdrawals 60% cheaper due to EIP1108 in Istanbul. 1000+ anonymity set and anyone can run a relayer.

Private voting and whistleblowing using Semaphore

Parity announces plans to assign IP for its Rust client to a DAO. Drama ensued, to put it mildly.

Social recovery with Argent gets even easier. Plus, Argent’s Ethereum ecosystem 2020 hype video is great

Tornado mixer going live is amazing. I 100% don’t want to downplay the possibility that the mixer has a bug or doesn’t work - though they now have 10 ETH deposits and you can insure away your risk with Nexus Mutual by getting a quote on 10 ETH for tornado.nexusmutual.eth and then limiting your exposure to 10 ETH at a time. The feature improvements are impressive, and it’s impossible to understate how need privacy improvements are.

Sometimes in Ethereum people didn’t want to pay each other at events using crypto because it means exposing so much of your transaction history. Privacy matters, and the Tornado mixer is bringing it.

I don’t want to touch much on the Parity drama. Much of this is “proof is in the pudding” stuff. While some parts of the Ethereum community on Reddit think this is Gavin declaring war (he published an op-ed in Coindesk about how blockchains would go to war with each other in 2020), if they assign clean IP to someone, then I feel comfortable guaranteeing you that the client will be well maintained. If Parity does not do that, then they’ll give credence to the critics.

Meanwhile key management is really getting so much better with Gnosis Safe or Argent. If you haven’t tried them, you should.

Enterprise

Tradeshift Frontiers and Monerium first cross-border euro transaction. “Invoices and purchase orders were issued through Tradeshift smart-contracts and settled using Monerium e-money on-chain.”

Seberino: private blockchains are not pointless because of decentralized administration and complete security histories.

I had missed Burner Machine, which is a neat little concept and way of using crypto as a payment rail.

Also cool to see an oracle solution like Chainlink go into wider production with Synthetic.

And I guess I should have bought more sets on Set Protocol!

John’s Roof Paint

A few days ago, John invested in one of my 15-Minute Consult calls. He didn’t want to make a mistake repainting the roof of his Florida home. John told me it’s already reaching the mid-90s there each day so you might imagine how hot his roof is to the touch.

John was interested in my opinion about paint colors. The conversation was fascinating and within five minutes I had decided to do a test for him. Since he’s not painting for three weeks, I have plenty of time. Once my test is complete, I’ll email the results to John.

You may be wondering about the fine points of our conversation. I’m going to share all that and much more when I publish my test results next week.

Isn’t that interesting? Most of us don’t hang up anymore from a call. That sure ages me! Here’s a photo of the phone I used to call my first girlfriend as well as the few others that would go out with me. You did have to hang the handset back up in the cradle. Now, of course, you just swipe or tap a button.

I told John I’d put the three painted samples out on my deck table on the next really sunny day, about 30 minutes before solar noon. Solar noon is when the sun is as high in the sky as it’s going to get that day. The sun’s rays are most intense at this point of the day because they go through the least amount of atmosphere. But, you probably knew that.

Once the samples get nice and toasty warm, which should only take a few minutes, I’ll snap some photos using my FLIR infrared camera. CLICK or TAP HERE to see my growing collection of infrared photos taken with the FLIR.

The painted metal samples are vibrant green, white, and flat black. You probably know which one will be the hottest, but will you be able to guess the temperature spread between the three? WATCH for this upcoming report!

Bitcoin DOUBLE Trap Analysis?! April 2020 Price Prediction & News Analysis

It’s a trap. My son, my son and my son. Let me let me get me to my son. Welcome back to Crown Crypt, OK? That’s. We’ll get started for the Saturday morning over here from a actually a very bright and sunny Helsinki, Finland. It’s almost six degrees Celsius here. So for those of you who speak Fahrenheit where just above freezing, which is good and I didn’t get some sun of which I will not be getting any myself because I’m gonna be on Twitter all day after this as I have as I plan to. To carry on the tradition that we’ve been doing for the last like three, four weeks now. So if you want to hang on our side, if you want to hang out a little bit later, I’ll be on probably right after this. Right after I post a stream. Also, I apologize for the very dark hue on this video right now. I don’t know what’s going on, but OBSS has been darkening, whatever the output is, more and more over the last like month or so. I have no idea why this is happening. It’s rather annoying. I wish it was like true to color because it’s obviously a few shades, more than a few shades lighter than what you’re seeing right now. But of course, me being a visual person, I like to harp on those sorts things. Maybe you care, maybe you don’t care. But hopefully everything is visible here. And if anyone you happen to know a quick fix for this. If this is a known issue, because for whatever reasons happened on this computer. But on my other one, which is rather strange anyways, I would appreciate some help with that. If you do happen to know, if not all good you can do is deal with it as it stands right now and I’ll figure it figured out over time. Also, what else do I want to say? Yeah. With the discord. I figure I should make another announcement about it. But the disco community, if you haven’t already found out, or if you just kind of came back and haven’t watched any TV is from the last few days or this past week, you probably noticed a bunch changes with discord. What’s happened is we require now a verification by this verification bot, which essentially promptly with a message the first time that you log into the server. So that means if you are already a part of the server before this past week, then you will actually need to leave the server and rejoin the server if you want to have those those that that access restored back to the general community. It’s very simple to do. It’s a little bit annoying, little bit of an inconvenience, but it does make for a better community. And I’m actually really enjoying kind of the more intimate feel right now as it’s actually helped a little bit lessen the load on my inbox, which means that I get to hang out more in the community, which is what I enjoy most. Not fucking answering the same goten question in DMD all fucking day anyways. On top of that, what I should say all GICs side is if you are in the program, if you have if you have the team program, the options program or even the jewel, you don’t need to do any of that. You already have access and and you won’t need to make any change with that. Please not leave unless you actually want to leave. Of course, you know, we’re not here to handcuff you, but it’ll just create more work for both yourself and myself. And we don’t even do that. But if you own part of the general community, yes, you will be prompted with that private message. And and then and then just follow the rules in that private message or site. Not the rules, but the directions and that private message to basically verify yourself with like a quick capture, some like that and and then all get. So other than that what else do I want to say. Crouching application front of a very face. Found it aptc crown attorney dot net. It’s free. And now our developer is actually he’s recovering. He’s going to be released from quarantine, I believe, either tonight or tomorrow. He actually even joined in on the twitch stream last night. It seemed to be really good spirits and really looking forward to the next update for this, which is what’s gonna bring out the open interest trout, which couldn’t come fucking sooner. It’s so funny how the delay happened right at like the most critical moment because this would have been perfect to actually show the interplay between open interest price action volume and volatility, of which we’ll just have to wait a little bit longer. But it should be relatively soon right after he gets ready if he gets well and his wife’s already covered. So that’s really good as well and we’re very much happy for that. Now, it’s it’s because he’s creating amazing things for us for free, but or for the community for free. But but also, while that’s a person I like. So fair enough. Anyways, anyways, looking at this right here, we do see that open interest is more or less steady from yesterday to today. We haven’t seen any major breaks the upside or to the downside, which still lets us know that the big break out of this formation has yet to come. Meaning that in open iron, an open mind is the right is the right call in this as we are still a part of some greater hole formation. And that’s what I’m gonna be doing today. A little bit different because mostly the analysis from message to today’s can be very similar. However, I’m just gonna redo my charts here from fresh scratch and see if we see anything different, anything new and to go on from there. So there’s gonna be a little bit of a shorter video. I do think and and I but I do want to keep that in the back of my mind. The open interest still kind of still kind of within range, suggesting that we are still a part of some greater formation here. And that’s further going to be verified by metrics anyways. Looking at all the other all the other top dashboard metrics. More or less steady. We really haven’t seen too much change in these for like the last couple weeks, actually. Fear and Greed Index was awesome in between like a 10 reading. 20 Reed We are right at Rio right now to an 18, I still think that this is the one thing that makes me reconsider my inherent bearishness on this, as that would be a damn good indication that we are kind of climbing the wall worry as bitcoin is to next off the lows and the market’s incredibly fearful still. But does that supersede price action? Fuck no, it does not. So let’s go to Price Action Mountain over here and start off with actually the four hour. Now, do you want to start off with this right here? Just very simple. Bitcoin could have a chance to undo unfuck the death cross and go back in the Golden Cross land on the 4 hour, which I do believe would at the very least give us a test back up to about 70, 350, 70, 400 ish region. And that’s where things get interesting once again from the higher term time frames. Do I think that they weren’t going to break above that, you know, right now? No, actually, I don’t think so. Again, I I actually do still lean a little bit more to the downside on this. I think that this is I think that this ends up being a trap, but my opinion is not relevant. You should not give a fuck about my opinion, my opinions wrong all the time. He thought wrong yesterday when I was when I was our side two days ago when I was bearish. And we had this nice little pump up over here. Now, for full disclosure, I’m not short right now. I’m completely covered and I’m just waiting for the next piece of edge. But but at the end of day, I do not trade my opinion on trade. Technical analysis and technical nous right now is shaping up for a little bit more of a test. The upside here as the Golden Cross is being hinted at and will inevitably happen. The longer that big remains, both 69 50 pivot and and if and if we do initiate that, I will at the very least look for a test back up here to the top side of this prior range, which could now plot in with a nice little Bluebox territory. Got a 73, 50 to 70, 300 ish regions where I have it now and we’ll put a nice little blue box in there is going to look Apsley massive for our. But realistically, this is only $50 range. So so we can actually even while we’re on here in the lower term timeframes, take this one step further and put a nice horizontal lot, a current resistance, which seems to be holding holding Bitcoin back for the time being. In fact, we can actually mark this off as a little bit of a liquid zone as the Wix and bodies do seem to match up pretty damn well and just shove it in right there. And if you trading the very, very, very, very low time frames, which I think is absolute death and destruction on especially on a fucking weekend, for God’s sakes, that’s what I’ll be using, although I would certainly not use that at all because I do not trade on the weekends and I don’t care to trade on the weekends. Doesn’t mean that you can’t have great trade opportunities on the weekends. But I’ve found that over time my edge as a technical and technical analyst, my edge is seems to be stronger during the weeks trading period. Whenever you know, as long as the are kind of trading alongside anyways to the downside, a little bit more easy as that 200x mentioned average on the four hours still offers up the lovely, the lovely trampy trap behavior. So if we do want to reference the sort of opening statement of this video of which the opening statements are usually just for fun and whatnot, but there is a pretty important one right here. If Bitcoin does break back down below the chin ADX Benjamin average. This will be a this will be a trap and this will get in this. This is very much under question right now. And again, this is very low time frame stuff right here. But this is very much on a question right now because this is a weekend and I am very skeptical of any sort of moves that I do see on a weekend as this. As it stands right now, we are still still in a downturn on the 4:00 hour. It’s looking like the can have a chance to actually reverse this trend, though, especially if we know especially we take out on a closing basis 31 sites, 31 30, which we’ve gotten pretty damn close to already closed net last. That last local high somewhere right around 50, 100. Even so, it will very likely have a chance. And if it is going to happen, it probably does actually happen today or tomorrow. That being Saturday or Sunday, depending upon your part of the world. And then it will initiate the aggressive sorry, the Golden Cross right over here. And at the very least, a touch back up here to 7:03, Sony to 7/3 50ish region. That’s where the higher term time frames can change around. If I do see a break above Sony, three fifty and a four hour closure above there, especially if it’s like, you know, a higher time frame, like a 12 hour or daily, although plane, the plane a lower term time frames right now, maybe a little bit more relevant than I would look for. Extension actually much higher. Much, much higher. In fact, all the way to the tippy, tippy top from this last little auto block area right here from the higher time frame perspective, in a range between about seventy seven fifty and seventy nine 50ish region could be collapse and make it a little bit shallower. So it’s a little bit less, less massive actually. Yes we can. Because what I’d actually like to do is if we really do get that leap up, it’s really this liquid zone right here that I think is actually more more important because that’s where your distribution is gonna come from, most likely if it does turn into distribution anyways. So I would be looking at that as a range between about. Yeah. Seventy nine and 80, 50, so a hundred all range. I think that’s a little bit more reasonable than a $20 range. So see as a big one does calls on new highs, especially on a higher type from like a twelve hour ordeal. I do think that we will very likely work our way up here. But remember, according to the according to our opening metrics like the open interest rate here, we are still seeing what we would expect if Bitcoin was caught in a greater formation on the whole macro scale. Because what I really want to show, which I can’t right now, is an open interest chart, which would have shown you that open interest hit the rock bottom that we’ve seen. And typically the rock bottom for, you know, four major moves down around about 500 million open interest at around March 13th down here in the. Lower 4000 to our region. And ever since then, it’s just been also about a 200 sorry, about 150000 or sorry, 150 million dollar range from here to where we are right now. And when usually we do see the moves, the upside actually open is typically coming down. When we see the moves coming to the downside, we typically see open interest going up, which is actually indicative of redistribution, which I do believe we have a good case for as well. So while I am presenting a little bit more of a bullish case right here, I want to first say at the outset, this is a weekend. I do not trust this. I think that this is like the perfect time for a trap. And and I do think and I do have my reservations that Bitcoin will close above sunny 350 ish region right here. If it does, you know. Fair enough. I’m happy to. My my my opinion obviously proven wrong again. This is why I don’t trade it. But but but I would be looking much higher as we just kind of looked at, you know, another 700 hour move perhaps in the cards, which is very much tradable, especially at a seven thousand or price point, cause that’s a 10 percent move. And that’s fucking amazing home by itself. But as it stands right now, what I would be looking at again is with critical importance on the 200X. Benjamin, have it right here because there’s you know, we’re obviously shopping around right now. Trend technically is still down as it is right now, but very it is going to have a chance to actually reverse itself. It has a damn good. It has damn good setup right here, to be fair. We do see momentum. Positives are floating, but for our stocks technically still upright here, they are getting a little bit more mature. But I do think that that’s going to at least give it a try. We’re pregnant at the very least, get another way to the upside. And then the question is, does it turn into rejection or not? I don’t have any real opinion on that, especially on a weekend. I just have an opinion on what it would look like if we get a wake up and then closed back down below, let’s call it seven thousand especially or or especially 69, 50. That would be a damn good indication that we are gonna be testing the bottom side, our side, the down side of the range. By the same token, if we if we see if we see a closure above Saudi 320 350, an open interest shoots up above 700 million. Again, that would be a damn good indication that this is that this is getting ready to have a little bit of boola enjoyment to the upside. Anyway, it’s three hours soap’s headed down right now and we do see that there quite literally nosediving. So I think that that’s a little bit more on the bear side to our stocks are up right now hourly are going to be floundering around, most likely an up. So the the general consensus among the lower term time frames that it actually is up right now. So I do think that at the very least, we’re gonna to get a test up here. And this is flagging down. This is constructive. This was a weekday. I’d say that this is bullish as fuck. But because it is a weekend, I’m very skeptical looking at a stock vaulted percentile on our hourly. We are we’re very, very likely to have a move today. You know, very likely to have a move to not just a short term timeframe range, but probably the medium time frame range, which is basically up here towards that twenty three hundred dollar number. And to the downside, that’s not this guy right here at 69 50, that’s actually a little bit lower, probably somewhere down around here, around 60, 70, 50 ish region to sixty seven hundred even is what I’d be looking toward. So I’ll put another blue box in right there. Still kind of the same range that we’ve been looking at yesterday. But this is just this is just looking at liquid zones and order blocks right now. We can now combine this with an analysis of the greater formation. But before we get into that, again, with recalling that the open interest has been essentially suggesting that we’ve been in one major massive formation this whole way from March 13 to where we are right now. That’s further confirmed by the volume signature, which, as you can see, has been that nice tailing off from left hand, right hand side as. As that does suggest that we aren’t when massive consolidation, some like this with a resolution point or an apex coming in early May. So that means we’re very likely to get a resolution probably within the next probably within the next week. And I do think less than that. I think I said earlier this week, probably around somewhere, somewhere between this the middle of this current week, that we just kind of finish here and then also like the Monday, Tuesday of this coming week. And I do still think that that actually does kind of align with that, say about, you know, 75 percent fall. We’ll still call it about April 21st. It looks like that’s three days away. So I’d be Monday, Tuesday ish region, depending upon which which part of the wall that you’re in. So, you know, this this read right here now tells us that it’s very likely that we should be looking at this as one massive pattern formation. Now, does anything fit in the way that we’ve been looking at it? Well, I think actually, yes, although we’ll need to go to not beat Mexico because there’s you know, we have an outlier price action right here. Or do we? Well, let’s actually let’s actually order the daily first. And let me let me let me chart this off. First and foremost. So for USAn, again, you know, tailing off from left hand, right hand side, also tailing off on the stock, 42 percent on a daily, which suggest that we’re going to spend a lot more time in this stuff in this region, actually. But the 12 hour, which should get a pretty damn good move is getting well. Now, as is kind of kind of in that same trajectory, actually, let’s see when we’re the apex come in around middle of May rather than early May and probably has a resolution here. Twenty fifth to twenty seventh of April is usually when they become extremely likely to break. So still within the range of next week. So both you know, both metrics suggesting somewhere in, you know, in the range of like early next week. Till late next week. This is why I’d like to see the open interest, because I’m sure that we’d be able to kind of like cut it to the middle there as well as we’re using, you know, vault volumes can be a little more direct volatility can be more of a derivative, but both very much, very much important. And now it’s actually look for a potential pattern going on right here. So let’s see if we are if we are going to be on a bit Mexico, how this operate. Well, we do see some like this. The problem is, is that while you can kind of plot this out right here, which would suggest that, you know, we’re probably in some sort of like major, massive rising channel, which is a redistribution formation. It’s not going to look the same on the other majors. And I do think that it’s important to get consensus on this market. Saarland Right. So I should’ve gone to a daily. OK. Apologies hold. I need to redo this. That was that was not proper. This one now just looks all kinds of weird, all kinds of wonkiness. Perhaps even this area works a little bit better. Of which maybe we just tested already. But again, this this is kind of the odd man out. This is the alpha. This is why we really have to look at all different ones. Now, we already know G. DAX kind of plotted out from yesterday. We do see some sort of a rising wedge going on right here. Vimes Signature does fit on it. And we actually would have technically already broken it. But we’ve read what? But we’ve re-approach the broken support and now testing as resistance once, twice, maybe been working on a third time, which, by the way, would be coming in right here at our next topside blue box on the top side of this current formation at about 70, 300 ish region in this in this range between 73, 73 and 7:03 50ish region. So it would just be considered a retest of that. Now, do you have a competing one going on right here? I think that that’s actually also relevant to we’ll talk about that, but that’s only relevant to the lower term timeframes. But I wanted to pull up a fresh chart if I can. Let’s see and see if we can recreate this in a more obvious way. Well, actually, yeah, we do have one here. However, could we chart it equally the same as something like this? I think so, yes. Which would still say that we’re within the context of the greater rising channel. And I do trust channels a lot more than wedges, of which the one that we’re looking at probably was a wedge. So what you know, what’s the right answer here? Technically, both. Actually, technically both, because they do fit. And it would suggest that we’re slowly but surely kind of tipping this one over as long as we are below that last broken trend line, which I had charted more like a wedge formation like this and that we’re just kind of retesting right now, as you can kind of see, it’s kind of like hard to fit it right now, which is not a good sign. So maybe it’s not the one to be doing. But I think the channel fits a lot more obviously, and does fit the narrative of the descending volume and does fit the narrative of the descending historic vaulted percentile and does fit the narrative of what you would see on the open interest if we could actually try to back out because it was down around about 500 million right here, popped up to about 700 million PSI. But you know, also to between about five million, 7.2 million on all these moves, downside moves, which seem to be accumulating open interest and upside moves seem to be lessening open interest. And we did see the same thing yesterday as well when bitcoin did or started two days ago or a day and a half ago, I guess now where Bitcoin did move its way to the upside. Let me just make sure that recording I am according to my phone’s working. That’s great. Fuck. Can you hold a thought? Maybe crown you fucking moron. But but my point is, is that, you know, on that last move, the upside, we did see openings just go from I think a little bit above 700 million. I think 710 million down to where we are right now, 650 million. So that’s suggesting that shortz’ closing is running the price actually the upside. So it’s it’s still shorts and control as far as I’m concerned. And with the overall great information still in a redistribution pattern, I am skeptical on this price action, as I have been saying. So. So, you know, on this on this fresh chart right here, I think it’s I think it’s just more easily seen that we are going from level to level on a daily something like this to the upside, something like this to the downside. And until we break one of these, there’s not really like a another medium or even long term trend to really be made as there’s no real resolution below sixty six hundred. Yes, we do have resolution. And I would be looking for a move back down to at the very least fifty eight fifty nine hundred and that’s you know that’s almost a thousand or move at a six thousand dollar price point. I mean that’s what more it’s certainly more than a 10 percent move and almost a fifteen percent move. Pretty damn good. Again these are I just want to show that the edges on these trades are worth waiting for. To the upside, as I said as well above this region right here. I do, you know. You know, we could even stay within the context of this rising channel gun for the two accidentally damage up here. And that’s 79, 30. Remember, that’s pretty much it within the confines of this blue box. So we have the upside right here. And I’d still be kind of testing the topside resistance on this baby right here. So I just want to show that, you know, longer term, I am skeptical on Bitcoin, like actually just fucking greengold on its way to the to the moon from this region, even with the having all that good stuff in order, you know, could that come into play? Yeah, absolutely. But I think that there’s just more tangible things on the board right now that I as a trader would trust in more than me, you know, events that everyone’s fucking known about since the eternity since the dawn of eternity. So because, you know, the general kin’s are the general knowledge is that. If it’s public information and you’ve already known about it and you’ve been making decisions based upon it, then it’s very much reasonable to think or you have to defensively think if you’re like a money manager managing big funds that other people are doing the same thing. It’s fucking free information. So it’s probably probably priced in, especially with regards to the fact that we have features now too, which is essentially what allows those miners to kind of make decisions well, quite late in the future. So they get to make decisions, you know, for like last year calling with this year’s knowing that they that they’re gonna have the having, you know, relatively within, you know, some somewhere within that day. Anyways, I’m getting way off topic right now. Jesus Christ, man. Let’s go see what is closed at us. Seems close. A little bit more of a more as a rejection, a little bit more TOPY ish to me, 1725. So keep that in mind, because going in to Sunday, I do believe that we’re prall going to be held around this region. Now that again, that doesn’t really give us any real buys on this price action as the way that I look at this right here is that I’m not. While we do have the death crossing, while the death cross moving averages are getting much divergence, waking each other. I don’t play this bearish as longs for as long as are above the 21 expansion on average, which right now we obviously are. And that will not be taken out to the downside as long as we are above about sixty nine eighty five, which is essentially where the twin index mentioned average will be on spot. And I think that this is a easier look on price action as well, because if we do take out the low side of this, it’s going to look like a D-O-G total plus plus fall due to the downside plus below a major moving average. And I’d imagine that going to see much more cities turn back down around with it. We do see yeah. We’re gonna see Stokes carry on to the downside daily. RSI probably do the same thing as well. Still looks overall bearish to me, so I would say that I’d be a damn good insight, but that means that at least for myself, I’ll have to wait until Sunday at some are 8 p.m. Eastern time or so. Well, let’s actually go look at the let’s let’s let’s let’s actually look at the measure move of this as a rising channel. If this is going to operate is right, that channel will actually go back to a fresh chart here. I’m just curious. Again, this videos can be a little bit in the short aside. I think overall this one going to show potentially a break. You know, if we were to break down, if we were to break down a measure, move all the way down to the. It’s hard to know because, you know, you don’t, you know, really take it until we actually break down. But proverbially speaking, is assuming that it would come maybe like early next week if it does come to the downside outlook for a move down to about 50 500 ish region of fifty six hundred. That does make sense with the 200X Benjamin average and turn it simple moving average or so and more so the churn, it’s simple actually at this point is a unit expansion we have is getting way up there. Turn it simple as all the way down around actually 56 it looks like right now. So it’s got a little bit of work to do. What’s up, Alex? Good to meet you, man. And welcome to the cave. The other weekly on SGMD looks a lot more like a hang mandella right there as well, which is more inherently bearish if you are just going off of dildo formations, which I actually don’t trust that much in bitcoin land. Weekly stuff is going to certainly be sorry. Are they going to suddenly be down? Let’s go look at this. The reverse stock indicator says they will cross. They will cross the upside if we do close anywhere above 60, 350. So they should close. They should cross up next week. By the same token, we do have a rejection on the weekly RSI. And I do think that that’s probably going to be held there. So, you know, is this going to be a one off to the upside here? I think probably, yeah. Looking at the reverse RSI EMC cross yet just shows 73 50. So that areas can be a big area going forward here as long as are below there. I am not bullish for the medium or long term. It’s only short term ranges. And that’s something I can say with well, at least for myself, for my trading behaviors with, you know, ads like kind of like an anchor of my trading behaviors right now. And of course, major moving averages on the weekly as well are in a much in a very bearish posturing. You know, even if we do pop back up and test around seventy eight to seventy nine hundred ish region, as we’re kind of showing earlier, I would look at that area as another area of massive fuckery as well. So patients here is gonna be a little bit of a virtue as it as we can. Trading is rather annoying to deal with. Typically speaking, at least for myself, you know me, I’m sure some people out there love it and you know more power to you. I hope that you’re making as much money as fucking possible. And I sincerely mean that. I really sincerely mean that because well, why the fuck not, man? Go do good. It’s like I fucking hate it when people say like money is bad. That tradition marks where the best case for bitcoin kind of going to the upside here. And let’s see, they closed yesterday. Now, we did come down. We spoke about this during the twitch stream yesterday, that we are likely to come down actually exactly to this level. Eighty seven thirty ish region did bounce from there. And I do think that we are going to open up next week, probably retest in the high. But is the momentum waning on this on this right now? I think so, yes. I think I think that we actually are going be putting in a local top here for the short and medium term and possibly come back down into this region somewhere right around the eighty four is low. Eighty four, as I’d say, maybe, maybe maybe upper eighty threes sometime in next week. So I do think that again to kind of like synthesize those thoughts down, look at us looking especially at Nasdaq futures which I think are running this market, you know, and again, just going from level to level. This is just beautiful right here. Fucking beautiful. Gotta love it, man. Gotta fucking love it. The simplicity of this. Sometimes we did say that we were likely to hit around eighty nine hundred. We got up to eighty nine fifty. That’s fine. And then I said likely a short term and medium term reversal. I think that’s what we’re gonna get coming into next week, although next week should open up around around yesterday Friday’s high. Looking at many futures probably be about the same thing actually still within the context of this rising wedge. Sounds familiar now, doesn’t it? And also a very precarious place as well, because not only are we in a redistribution pattern, but volume signature is is is confirming that. And we do see that we’re kind of at the prep’s the precipice of a major change in behavior here, too, because the longer that it stays above the 55, the screen moving average, the you know, the more and more likely it will unfuck this death cross. But if the death cross does want to play out, this would be a damn good place to reverse from. And if we do break down below, I mean, even just even us, Friday’s low would probably do it for me. Confirming that as reversal, I look for a measured move to be initiated. Somewhere down around here, somewhere down it down back into like the twenty five twenty five to twenty six hundred range which is going to correlate with like 255 to 60 ish region on spot price action. And we’ll come back and reassess after that. By the same token, to the upside, if this thing makes another leg of the upside, we’re gonna see three ton great to see like three or five A310 is going to and everyone’s gonna get very, very happy and very, very bullish. And that would be another good place for, you know, for a massive meltdown. The only thing that really concerns me about tradition marks right now is that everyone, everyone, their mother thinks that they’re good being the genius, thinking like, fuck, I watched that movie called what was it called? The Big Short. And you know what? I know exactly what’s going on. It’s gonna be right now we’re gonna be going to zero this. Things sucked and maybe it is. But you’re not alone in thinking that you’re not the fucking only person thinking that that is the majority of the market right now. So that, you know, that’s the other thing making me think that ad. Do we have another move back, if you like? Three 310 first? Probably, yeah. It’s certainly not other question, but. But, hey, if we take out Friday is low, then yeah, I will look for for for that house of cards crumble it a bit more. But for right now, I’d say caution against the wind. In fact, what you know, this level even correlates directly with holy shit that Bluebox of destiny, perhaps perhaps destiny. You are looking at as such. Oh, also that and with the top three reasons. But you know, going back down to lower timeframes here, I didn’t get to talk about this. This is relevant as well. We do see. To quote my fucking hate for a diagnose, we do actually see that there is something resembling a falling channel here which typically does break out to the upside. If we did make a measured move on this, it is a little bit funny that we would actually see the measure move correlate. Actually nowhere near what the fuck that’s that’s cause is getting the bottom of the of the order block right here. So I’m doing a more aggressive read on this. Looking at the liquid zone, if I were looking at the order block it would say about 70 100, which would be the bottom side of this. It’s all within range that write them. It depends where we break out from, too. So, you know, if you know, if we were to break out from this region right here. It’d be obviously higher anyways. Enough of that. Jesus fucking Christ, man. To me, it’s pretty damn simple for even even like a four hour delay closure about sunny 130. Very, very likely we will toss up this region of the cup on a bux higher. That’s where things actually can change for the macro. But I don’t think. I don’t think that that’s what’s happening to be actually directly clear and deliberately clear maybe. But again, I know my opinions not necessary for that to the downside. A little to the downside. Actually, a lot more easy, but live more diabolical. Any any four hour delay, closure, blow 64 50. And I do believe that this that this will play out as a whole. As you know, as an efficacious death cross, we will very likely come down to this region right here, 6, 7, 50 tests their pride, pride to another anemic bounce. But I do believe that that bounce would be sold into. And then we will likely come down into the mid 5 thousands. So things are kind of shifting around here. And I think it’s also still relevant to talk about this. It’s not going to be so much of a shorter video now, is it, to be so much of a shorter video? Anyways, um, um. Looking at the two day, we can just quickly go through this as well. You know, the two day duel to Death Cross? I do. Again, I do think that day to day till Death Cross is still very much relevant. And I do think that it could still very much play out, as we do see a very similar signature to here to what we seen in the past in both in both instances. Now, the third one kind of formally in front of our very eyes. So this could be a trend if it does play out. But this one about over here, green and purple, fit five and 200. Crossman downside. Slowly but surely, it’s round now below the 21, although it does have the 55 along the way. And that is a that is a hallmark of the last pass crosses. And then boom, massive move. The downside, 50 percent. You already know from 6000 basically to 3000 times before that was running over here in 2014/2015 at this price point. Price action very far away from front from the cross itself, which I think is kind of a it’s kind of similar. What we’re doing right now to Bitcoin gets another test back up to the 55, although after that gets quickly rejected. And once it’s back down below the 21, that’s when the inevitable downside does play out. So what I’m looking at right here is, is same thing as a daily eye. You know, I look at this as overall bearish. As long as you’re below the death cross moving averages, which are where they’re conveniently right at that fucking over $7000 a number, right around seventeen hundred if you wanna get super exact. But. But I don’t play to the downside as long as we are above the 20 1 expense to an average on especially a closing basis. And we will be closing this 2 day doled out now. Not tonight, tomorrow night, tomorrow night at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time. So it’s gonna be a long day, I suppose. But if we do get another test up to the 55, as we have in the past couple instances, I’d say that that would be pretty, pretty stock standard. And it also would be in line with even the short term ranges as that was really such change things around. So I feel like I’ve missed quite a few things on this video. But again, I feel like this past week’s videos have been more or less on topic for that anyways. And realistically, I’m looking at this price session right here, especially on a weekend when it’s kind of flagging now is probably going to, you know, like likely to be trampy. Just higher higher degree, higher degree of crappiness behavior on a weekend. We can go quickly, check out the probability ranges right over here and can actually look at this a little bit differently as well. If we won’t actually do some ring analysis, which should we can we can do future bars. Yeah. If I do it on. Future buys, it should actually do better with the with the with the slopes of these babies, and right now they’re both squeezing on each other. The downsides are side the upside, the site, the ones to the bottom side, which are squeezing the upside, the slope on. That’s a little bit more a little bit more impressive, a little bit more a little bit more direct. Not too crazy. Maybe it’s just my eyes kind of making that up, Knight. I do think I do things with a bit more study them. So technically speaking, it would be a little bit more angled to the upside. However, what I really want to be looking at is the probabilities of the range that we’re looking at. As of the current moment in time and by the way, current, if I use current, it actually does push down a little bit more I think is going to turn into a little bit of a fake out. So Sunny, 350 is still the relevant air to the upside. I would say seventy six to seven hundred. The downs in a more conservative estimate, more aggressive. Seventy six. Seven fifty. And what do we see? Actually, the range is for both relatively small in comparison limit. Just make sure you do have my settings right. I believe and above target probability. Seventeen and a half percent on today’s Daily Dose closure. So it you know, it certainly is possible. It’s bet it’s better than one standard deviation, however. Say it’s what is within one’s own deviation. It looks like just right there. I think that’s a half one on the grey. So that so so as you put them in perspective, that actually is rather high, 14 and a quarter percent to the downside. Again, still within the realm of possibility. But realistically, we have more that y what’s our inside probability is going to be. Well, the difference between those, which is about 68 and a quarter, that we’re just gonna be Ossana between 60, 70, 350 to the upside and sixty seven 50 to the downside, which I think is most likely here, especially on a weekend. I think that we’re progam to test sides of the ranges on the short term. But do we get an actual break on the short term. Well a break of the week’s trend. In this case would be what would be continuation of the downside, not to the upside as this is still a four hour downtrend. As it stands, can very easily revert itself here, but as it stands, it technically is that way. So I think this 50th priority way too long. Porges for that I thought is give me a shorter video. Apparently not. Do you like how the 4 hour turn and simples gonna start to align with the Bluebox A piece in Destiny? To the downside right here. If we do drone on a little bit longer, that should be happening by tomorrow. I do believe unless things just Apsley shatter before end of day today, which I think is a little bit unlikely. I think that we’re perogative to wait until tomorrow for like, you know, a nice move and then we should resolve the range either. Sorry, and I’m not talking about the short term range. Which guy and this guy, but rather the medium term range. This guy over here, sunny, 350 and 6, 750. The downside, I think that we’re gonna be resolving that early this next week. Very, very likely. Quickly, we can look at like the troll and your bands to see if we can come up with any sort of other biases trolling you. What? Actually actually showing some more inherent bullishness here. I did have a fake up to the downside right here, and that usually isn’t that usually is pretty damn good. And what what, you know, wears the tops out of the trolley bands on a daily S300 fucking obviously will quickly look at the MacDonalds as well and see what that one’s showing. See, what do you what do you got for me today. Could it be. Could it be that we’re just gonna be putting another set of bearish divergence here on them on the histogram. Maybe. But that’s that’s fucking crystal ball bullshit which I need to call my shell self out on on a really. And that also imply that we’re gonna get higher has some price action too. So could we move up here and put another set of devant there. Yeah, could be. So there you go. I’m not really getting too much else off the other than that the the only way that I really get some off this is if is if we come down below the zero, read again and cross the downside which we’re not doing right now and that’s not going to happen. Very unlikely to happen today. In fact, so you know what I’d like to see on the Mac? He is like an obvious signal. I’d like to see like a medium term timeframe range broken. So 6 700 in this region. In this case would be great. Plus that crossing back down below the zero read. That would be damn good for some some inherent downside back down below 6000 into like the mid 5000 probably to the upside, a little bit more difficult. I actually think that the shorter term time from the reps and in that a little bit more accurately, a little bit more easily. Right here. So other than that, really not very much has changed from USA to today. Bitcoin’s flagging now and improving its bullish chances. I think a little bit more, but I’d keep an eye on this because when these when these guys start to kiss, if if there’s gonna be a trap, I’d look for it somewhere right around there.
