I got this anon a few weeks back after sending someone else an ask about h*ylor 2 years theory when the whole song fiasco happened and even though there was a reply that could have been given it was not worth my time and effort that night to reply so I just blocked the anon who sent me it.

But since this anon was sent to me a week or 2 ago @thoughtsthatarehardtoexpress has DMed me so many 💀💀 h*ylor tweets about them having been a thing for nearly 2 years so now I can't help but explain why believing h*ylor was a thing for nearly 2 years without having been seen together till nearly a decade after Jan. 2013 makes no sense vs why believing larry is a thing for 10+ years without having been seen together publicly since xfactor 2016 does.

If h*ylor had been a real couple and they were together until 2014 during peak 1D fame and peak 20s pop taylor fame we 100% would have had photos at some point of them being seen together !! + their teams would have milked their relationship for some added PR bc newsflash even real celeb couples milk their relationship publicly for extra PR !! How tf do you have two of the biggest under 30 stars of the 2010s dating and NOT be seen once ??

While the notion of larry being a real couple for 10+ years means their closeted bc when it comes to H specifically 1D and his solo team have been marketing him as a womanizer/lady's man since he was a fuckin teenager! And larry being seen together after 1D in any capacity fuels larry rumors, thus fueling 🏳️‍🌈 H rumors, which his team doesn't want. So why would it make sense for them to publicly go anywhere together and allow themselves to be seen if their teams [especially 1D/H solo team] has been actively wanting to mute the buzz on larry/gay rumors? But of course any time H gets mentioned in louis solo interviews he's all hearts and blushes.

So do the math on why it makes sense for larry to be a long term real couple without having been publicly seen together since 2016 vs why it doesn't make sense for h*ylor to have been a long term real couple without having been publicly seen together after the dramatic boat pic of taylor all alone and don't send anons on how we make no sense but h*ylors do.

I won't even bother going into a long rant about the part of this anons ask, saying no lyrics of their songs directly reference the other except hello princess park ?? we saw ed in manchester ?? same lips red same eyes blue same white shirt couple more tattoos ?? and all of louis major love songs talking about one long term lover he meet when he was young [who else did he met then when he spent 90% of his late teens/early 20s with the 1D boys] and no this is not a rhetorical for any anti to come mention the dog walkers name in response. 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♀️

why do some larries dislike taylor? wasnt she forced to do haylor too?

I think, first, you need to differentiate between disliking T*ylor as a person and disliking H*ylor and her connection to it. Not everyone dislikes her because of H*ylor. That's just one part of it. Anyway, she was in a completely different position than Harry was at the time. She was older, more established, and had much more control over her image, and I'm sorry, but I'm not a Gaylor. I don't think she's closeted, nor do I think she was forced to do anything. I don't necessarily blame her for using a PR relationship to further her career. Plenty of people do it.

What bothers me about H*ylor is how she used it afterward to drag Harry and promote 1989 and then continued to use her 2-month-long "relationship" with Harry for years as if it was some great love affair because he was clearly the most popular of all her "exes" and that album was super successful. I'm also so bugged by the way all of her songs blame the guy in the relationship, but she's always the victim (but that's neither here nor there, and I DO NOT want to have an argument with anons about her shitty songwriting).

Anyway, Harry was forced into it by his label, and he looked fucking miserable. Louis looked fucking miserable. And T*ylor looked happy as a clam, so it rubbed a lot of people the wrong way.

Been on a Superman kick lately, mostly because I didn't watch that Superman & Lois show for years because of the Yikes factor back when Season One started but I was curious to tune in for the finale, wanted to see how they closed that story out.....and somehow that led me to finally reading some of the T*m T*ylor written Jon Kent stuff and am currently laughing my ass off so hard this man is so proud of himself for the most basic shit he's like look at me, I cracked the code, I figured out that the real power in superheroes lies in them not upholding traditional narratives *proceeds to uphold traditional narratives while using slightly different wording and saying nuh-uh that's not what I'm doing at all*

Buddy, I don't know how to tell you this but if you're still winding up in the exact same spot as "traditional/older superhero comics" at the end of the story it doesn't matter how many times your story says "we have to figure out how to do things differently" like no shit. But did you reach any other conclusions? Did you actually do anything differently? Is Lex Luthor still doing the exact same things at the end of your story as he is at the start? Congrats, you perpetuated the cycle while saying I've done it! I've figured it out! We have to break the cycle!

......like. C'mon now.

It reminds me of that thing Hickman does that drives me up the WALL with his time travel stories. He basically just has characters come back from the future and change things all willy-nilly and then a present day character is like "wait but won't that create a paradox" and then his future time-traveling characters laugh condescendingly and go OH HO, you hapless primitive, you're so dumb, that's not how time travel works at all.

OKAY SO HOW DOES IT WORK AND WHY DOES THAT NOT CREATE A PARADOX THEN?

Obviously I don't need you to create an entirely new theory of handwaved comic book style temporal mechanics or what the fuck ever, but at least make an ATTEMPT to contrive some manner of internally consistent narrative logic that says this is why the story we're doing THIS way doesn't follow the same trains of thought advanced by previous stories you might have read about this topic.

The smug little asshole approach to "I'm not only not even going to address the questions of logic and causality inherent in my premise, I'm just going to laugh at the very idea they NEED to be addressed and act like my story is above having to entertain notions of "making sense" and whatnot" is like. Condescending as hell and it does not actually make a story better. It just makes the author look like a prat.

Also, prat is a very good, underutilized word. I shall use it more often. It sounds as ridiculous as you think a person is when you decide to call them a prat. I like that. Its very efficient.

Yeah, I remember that video. I also remember a post from a fan who was there who said they walked into the park, stayed 10 minutes, and walked out again. It's crazy to me that people still think this was a real romance these two are still pining and writing about.
