ZEN [Aeropolis] (F-Zero AX, also in F-Zero GX [2003])

This track is half of what sells the idea of this being a sky utopia with (presumably) high promise. The other half is the sheer aesthetic, being one of my favorite areas of the varied F-Zero universe!

I won’t pretend to know most of the sounds here besides the Bass, but I know many of these sounds are quite different from what’s usually in the list, and piece together an endearing melody clearly made for the “sky utopia” atmosphere Aeropolis is supposed to provide.

As an F-Zero fan, I think you should check this game out for the futuristic settings, high-difficulty challenges, potential for complexity, and top-tier music. With over 40 character themes in this racing game legend, helped by Sega’s unmistakable talent, should already speak volumes for how varied the soundtrack truly is!

(Extra note: Please be kind, by not replying with “I wish another F-Zero game got made”; we F-Zero fans have heard that sentiment far too many times for it to not feel like white noise. Don’t worry for us, we’ve been patient for almost 2 decades, and new progress in custom-track modding for the game has helped too!)

zane for the character ask thing?

YESSSS

favorite thing about them: waaahhhh so much. god i love zane. his character arc is so so good. His dub voice is I think my single favorite dub voice so far ( a high honor; I love a lot of the dub voices!!), I love how he can go from mumbling to a snarling roar in an instant. I love his Hell Kaiser design, I love the way the show storytells through his deck and how he plays it. He's also in my Single Favorite GX Duel so I think that counts as a Favorite Thing.

least favorite thing about them: genuinely trying to think about. what my least favorite thing about him is. hm. I do adore dub zane but it's a shame a lot of his relationship with respect re: dueling and himself and others got cut in order to play up a little bit of a "edgy mid-2000's tough guy bully older brother" characterization with him in the dub; the respect thing is such an important part of his character and it sucks to lose that!!

favorite line: sorry theyre all dub lines but "CYBER END DRAGON.... IT'S BEEN REAL" *EXPLOSION* still makes me go absolutely insane and "he's got one" re: jaden desperately telling him that he cant go, that syrus needs a big brother, literally makes me start crying. Also special shoutout to the fact that the dub specifically had zane tell syrus he loves him on two separate occasions!!!! That's so dear to me. Sub wise I do also love "I don't need an assistant" re: yubel being like 'i'll help you down on your way to hell.' he just goes hard.

brOTP: his bond with syrus is my single favorite yugioh siblings dynamic and every time i think about them im just like ;__; aauuaaghhhwwaahhhh......could talk about them. for ages. I also love his friendship with Jaden and Alexis!!! Zane Truesdale has Three Whole Little Siblings!!!!!!!!! I know and see the truth!!!!!

It is more clear in its 3D model, but Deep-Eyes White Dragon has an intentionally feminine form.

Same goes for its weaker form, Blue-Eyes Abyss Dragon.

Of course, we don't know the original owner of the Dimension Cube, so that remains the only unresolved issue in DSoD.

Most of the DSoD is the gang doing what the GX gang did before graduation, and a couple of Duels to showcase the new cards. However, some of the unanswered questions like more details on regular Bakura, and Shadi's pasts have been answered, and what the canon implied, that there being more than seven Milennium Items is now canon.

It might not be the best conclusion possible, but it is fairly enjoyable, and it is going to be the only properly canon conclusion due to Kazuki Takahashi's passing. Any other future project will essentially be some other creator's interpretation.

This was the progression of getting my MF-102 (Moogerfooger) voice changer set up. First one was just with the amplifier, second was the first attempt to get the audio to go through the dome, it was a cheap speaker and seated right up against the wood base for the dome so it did terribly with bass. My solution was to add some spacers to give it some distance between the wood and speaker.

Amp is a Roland Micro Cube-GX which was suggested by a fellow Florida Dalek operator, Paul.

11月小结

不知不觉已经12月过半进入下旬……说实在本来是打算月初写的，结果跟朋友的书信撞到了。一拖再拖就变成了今天这个局面，再不写可就要年终总结了！

·工作

最近一直在帮另一个组做事情，设计日语技能台词。然后我同事说写的还挺好的，问我有没有转正的想法，那个组大概是有坑位的。我说那好吧，试一试。然后，最近隔壁���老板有这个意向了，但是，没有hc，依旧是外包。哈哈。那个组的事情真的超级多，而且还会下班后打扰。从我下班一直骚扰到9点。就离���死了。给画了个饼，说看以后情况，等坑位。还说，你也不能光翻译，以后可能会派更多任务，由浅到深。除了翻译之外再扩展一些写台词啊，日常剧情对话之类的业务。这样对你的职业发展也好。呃…话是这么说，但是吧，这个东西吧，翻译过来就是只干翻译是不行的，还得多做点事情。

但是稿子不断的被抛回来更改的感觉真差，明明写的挺好的。最关键的是他们给我的NG理由并没有说服我。所以改的很心不甘情不愿。最终扔给ai写了orz

·天气

这边天气从这周突然转凉，到了零下。紧急叫妈妈给我邮来了冬天的衣服。妈妈说她那里也突然降温。

最近似乎还在流行着流感。同事上周病倒了好多人，我周围一圈就剩俩人了哈哈哈哈。安静的办公室真的好幸福，没有那么多人走来走去的。

·特殊的日子

就是今天！希望能买到美味的🎂！不知不觉一年过得真快，去年这时候是全家一起过的，爸爸还买了很大一个🎂给我。

最近捡起了西语，还在跟朋友约好一起学德语。

说起来好久没有收到西语老师的来信了。为什么呢？明明有发过去。是没收到呢，还是忘记回复呢，还是不想继续通信了呢。圣诞节的时候准备再给她发送一封短短的邮件，问候一下。

·咖啡

最近爱上了买外面的咖啡，一杯一杯下去仿佛在喝奶茶。点过cotti的，并没有瑞幸的浓，怪不得便宜。第一次喝烤椰拿铁就踩雷，感觉以后椰子相关的咖啡都不会碰了。好难喝，明明点的是无糖的还是很甜，估计是椰汁中带的甜味吧。但是有点太甜了。喜欢xxx生酪拿铁（名字太长记不住），无糖的会带有一丝丝的微甜，丝绒拿铁，茉莉海盐拿铁都不错。等到9.9活动时还要试试其他口味的拿铁。等把无糖的都试过在点一定要加糖的拿铁看看。

同理，玩ff14时，因为我比较菜，就对我生气。但我姐为什么暴跳如雷呢，因为我不小心炸到他把他炸死了。如果是炸到别人他就会在一旁哈哈笑。看他跟其他队友说话时也很……让人不适。有一种男的瞧不起别人的那种味道，好恶臭。这个本真的不想再打了。

从这部开始，爱上了高达机体。GX的口琴炮真的好帅，DX开出全力一击的时候也让人心动。感觉好久没有这么认真看高达了。

所谓女频爽文了。

I feel so conflicted about F-Zero 99.

Like, on the one hand, it’s a new F-Zero game. People seem to really love it, they say it’s super fun, and for the first time since the Game Cube F-Zero is actually relevant and people are talking about it. Those are only good things.

I’m so happy it’s good, and I’m so happy that new people are dipping their toe into the series.

…But.

On the other hand, I feel like the finger on the monkey’s paw curled. We FINALLY got a new F-Zero, Nintendo finally acknowledged the series. And it’s a battle Royal reimagining of the first game.

It’s like winning a lifetime supply of ice cream, but it’s only chocolate ice cream, and you’re allergic to chocolate.

I want to be excited about it, but I don’t really play battle royale games, and it’s definitely not what I was hoping to see from the series. A new entry or at least a remake of GX or something since Nintendo seems to be on a roll of remaking Game Cube games.

But I also don’t feel like I can be upset about it too much either, because the game is actually good and at least it’s something, right?

Am I alone on this?

Also most fans agreed that Yu-Gi-Oh And Yu-Gi-Oh GX kinda take place in their respective time period when they were released make the original DM Yu-Gi-Oh period begin 1996 - 2000ish give or take and GX starting 2004.

Making Seto Kaiba in DM/GX 23ish give or take a few years... however

Seto from Dark Side of Dimensions is the Seto you see in the manga because Dark Side of Dimension is the finale to the manga and takes place 6 months after the end of the manga. Making Seto 18-19.

But... (spoilers for the Dark Side of Dimension)

Seto, using the combined magic of the millennium plana cube (magic item of the big bad of the movie) and his own tech that he himself said rivaled magic and could surpass it, sends his mind into the afterlife.

So he metaphorically (or maybe literally?) killed himself because he could play children card games with his pseudo boyfriend. And used his space elevator to do it.

Also Yubel was an old friend of Jaden/Judai that punished people for making Jaden lose Yu-Gi-Oh card games. Like send to the hospital punish. So he send them to space on a Kaiba Corp rocket.

And Yubel is bigender, quite literally. One breast on one side and one pec on the other.
