i think the reason why im emotional again about lesley is because she's so physically imperfect. This isn't a bad thing btw it's just a fact that she's plush, cotton, felt, and blood now. She feels intense grief that it translates into violence. And her appearance reflects her sadness, her hope, and the ways she's torn herself and people apart for her child. just to preserve him in a family that's LESS dysfunctional than her own. But she fails. Oh she fails but just as long as he's alive in some form it'd be ok, right?

But he's not flesh and blood. He's not your real son.
