Thinking about the de Rolo kids because I can.
I believe that there was a 7-8 year span between Vesper Elaina's birth and Wolfe & Leona's, then Vax'ildan II was a quicker addition 3-4 years after. Gwendolyn was a was a total surprise at 10+ years later. She is indisputably the baby of the family.
Current C3 time Vesper Elaina should be 31-ish, so I think that should put Wolfe & Leona around 23-24, Vax'ildan II at 19-21, and then Gwendolyn around 7-8.
Vesper Elaina is likely off doing political or diplomatic work at this point in her life, provided she was so inclined, in preparation to take over for her aunt someday. It would be within reason for her have a romantic partner or kid/kids of her own.
The glimpse we got of Wolfe & Leona the last time made it seem they were following more after their mother with ranger and/or Grey Hunt stuff. Vax'ildan II is mostly a mystery, besides being shown holding Charlie the bear in the family portrait. And Gwendolyn is enough for her own post for another day.

character intro.
Like so many half-elves, Vex'ahlia has spent most of her life suffering the cool reception of a people who don't fully accept her.
Born of a human mother and an elven father—who only later in life took an interest in their existence—Vex'ahlia and her twin brother Vax'ildan quickly realized the only people they could truly rely on in this world were each other.
It was at the age of ten when the two were taken from their mother, and brought to live in Syngorn, the isolated elven city for which their father was an ambassador. He quietly took them in, but always kept an icy distance, and after too many years of disdainful looks, the pair decided to leave his indifference behind, and set out on their own.
Vax took to the cities, stealing small trinkets and learning the ways of the thief, while Vex kept to the woods. She preferred the isolation. Always the keen observer, she learned to hunt and to track, to spy, and to shoot. And through a series of fateful events, earned herself a companion in the form of a bear—her own stolen Trinket—to fight alongside her and protect her fiercely. Also, he is adorable—and gives expert massages.

Okay what r ur thoughts on Percy and vexs kids i must know
Omg anon thanxxxx I have many thoughts. I don't know why i gave a few sentences for the de rolo siblings but for the kids you're getting a good chunky boi lol.
One thing is that I keep flip flopping whether or not they’re half-elves or quarter elves (as Vex has the blood of a full elf in her, they could be half elves in an interpretation of lore). I tend to just prefer half-elves so I know they’ll outlive Vex tbh though I am not wedded to the idea.
Vesper: She is the oldest child and acts like the oldest child. She loves Whitestone and as soon as she turns into a teenager she wants to rule. She feels a bond with Pelor as she's plane touched, and will often pray for her family's sake when they're going through difficult times, especially when her parents and aunt seem sad, lost, stuck in grief and trauma. She differs with Percy on this a lot, but she gets along well with both her parents, other than matters of Whitestone. She gets along well with Cassandra, who does eventually cut through to Vesper that she can't just give her whole life up to Whitestone at a young age, so I like to think she agrees and Vesper spends time in other cities learning and studying for a year or so, keeping close to Pelor's temples, but just feels homesick for Whitestone so would never leave long-term. Enjoys riding but doesn't enjoy the outdoors much and never liked hunting or anything to do with the grey hunt as a special force, and isn't physically inclined and only knows 'a few' offensive cleric spells. Men and women throw themselves at her feet with marriage proposals, not sure if she'd ever accept any.
Wolfe: Slightly older than Leona and proud of it. He is a smarmy lil boy who think he's the absolute shit, and think he's more charismatic than he actually is. Of all the siblings he wants the glory of being a hero like Vox Machina the most, and becomes a fairly good all-rounded fighter. However, despite being a bit of an apparent fuck-boi, he has a childhood sweetheart he marries early on.
Leona: More level-headed than her brother. She's less of adventurer and has Percy's tinkering spirit. Unlike Percy, she sits and talks his ear off when she's tinkering. She is very chatty and friendly. She loves building things mechanically but doesn't have the aversion to magic her father does. Bit more of a flirt than Wolfe, string of broken hearts behind her. I could see her moving away to help continue with the rebuilding of Emon when she's in her twenties.
Wolfe and Leona: Vex notes how as the pair are twins they're close, but they don't have that intense, dependent bond that she and Vax had, which is probably a good thing becaue these two grew up not needing to depend on each other. Unlike Vesper, both enjoyed the outdoors, exploring, the grey hunt. Both are far more extraverted. When they're adults, they decide to travel, and Leona keeps Wolfe in check. They join an adventuring party and do some good deeds (far more minor) EDIT AS I AM WRITING THIS WHAT IF THEY JOINED THE DARRINGTON BRIGADE??? like they become loyal members throughout their lives, they sometimes just join an adventure as a twin bonding exercise despite living apart.
Vax'ildan: They call him 'Dan.' A mumma's boy when he's young. Good with animals, the grey hunt makes him cry, and he becomes a vegetarian (at least for a period of time). Close with Auntie Keyleth and enjoys Zeprah a lot, I could see him joining the Ashari as a druidy boy. I think when he's young, because he's so close with Vex he just doesn't see much of his father. But as he gets older, he likes taking his textbooks on animals and nature into his father's workshop and quietly reading whilst his father works, enjoying the background noise his father makes whilst he creates. Both get that the other needs space (this quiet time is sometimes ruined by Leona, who eventually realises that she should maybe leave them alone), and Dan is close with both.
Gwendolyn: A little angel girl who just happens to look like a devil. When she's a baby she cries a lot and Percy soothes her better, I think because he had the pact with Ipkesh. Vex and Percy are honest with Gwen and the children (as their other kids could have a tiefling because of Percy) that Percy is the reason they have a tiefling BUT with the rest of Whitestone and visiting parties Vex is like 'yeah?? maybe it was me??? what of it??'. Whitestone accepts Gwendolyn as she is (said before but I think after everything that happened in whitestone, the people of whitestone would be quick to realise that tieflings are not a cause of evil or pain) and Gwen has a very peaceful, loving childhood. Still daddy's little girl growing up, but as she get's older she enjoys the grey hunt with her mother, and I just picture Gwen with a full body camoflage outfit on with only her eyes visible to give her the ability to blend in. She does enjoy combat sports a little, but is mostly 'dainty' and charming and friendly, Whitestone adore her. People start proposing marriage to her as well. Maybe she's a little chaotic and accepts a few, before ending them shortly after, but she would settle down and be adored by a loving partner. I think she could rule Whitestone in Cassandra's place on the council with Vesper--- I think Gwen would be a little naïve/easily swayed on her own, but would be a very dedicated ruler for the people and adored.

Note
Gwendolyn my darling (and Leona, Wolfe, Danny, Vesper) your mama loves you so much. I say Gwen in particular because I know you worried so about being a tiefling but please, never do. You were and are perfect just as you are, and I would never want a hair on your head different.
Your father and I love and miss you terribly, lovely. Our Gwyn.
— Vex’ahlia de Rolo, Baroness of the First House of Whitestone and Grand Mistress of the Grey Hunt
(For the record, we never could settle between Gwen and Gwyn.)

WENDY SANDERSON ( YARA SHAHIDI ) is a 16 year old JUNIOR student at Broadripple Academy. SHE is originally from JAMAICA PLAIN, MASSACHUSETTS but moved to Broadripple 1 YEAR ago. SHE is EXCITABLE and EMPATHETIC but can also be CLINGY and IMPATIENT.
1. Full Name?
Wendy Shohreh Sanderson
2. Preferred Names or Nicknames?
Wendy, Wends, Wendybird — she likes ‘em all!
3. What does their name mean? Does it have any significance in their family? Do they like their name?
Ripped straight from the internet: “‘Fwendy’ means, simply: friend. The second meaning of the name Wendy (“fair-skinned, blessed”) dates before Barrie and likely comes from a pet name for Gwendolyn. These elements come from the Gaelic words “gwyn” (holy, white) and “dolen” (ring).” When Wendy was born, her grandmother chose her name. As Peter Pan was one of the first books she read in English, she was attached to the name Wendy. Wendy as a character in the book was polite, well-mannered, and forgiving. This Wendy hits maybe one to two on a good day, so it works well enough. Wendy likes her name because her dad called her Wendybird growing up, whereas her sister Eleanor just got plain ol’ ‘Nell’. It made her feel special. Plus, while she doesn’t care much for Barrie or his story, she can relate to Peter Pan’s love of fun and youth. So, hey, no real complaints here!
4. Age and Date of Birth?
16 / June 21
5. Gender and Pronouns?
Cis Female, She/Her
6. Hometown?
Boston, Massachusetts — specifically in Jamaica Plain
7. Does your character fit into any well known archetypes or tropes?
Oh man, uhh. Sort of whatever Britney Murphy’s character in Uptown Girls was, in the “growing up is gross :(” sense. Daydreamer. Poetry lover. She has a head-in-the-clouds vibe. The chatterbox. Actually, with this talk of Peter Pan, uh, yeah. Bit of a Peter Pan!
8. How long have they been at Broadripple?
Wendy has been at Broadripple since the beginning of her sophomore year.
9. What led them to apply to Broadripple? Was it a decision made by them or by their parents/guardians or somewhere in between?
About two years ago, her family came into a solid chunk of change. Wendy’s mother Bahar is a nurse and caretaker. Over the past decade, she had been taking care of a wealthy elderly man in the Back Bay. When he passed, he unexpectedly left her some money in his will. Wendy’s parents almost immediately decided it would be invested in Wendy’s education. Her dad’s parents wanted her to receive a Catholic one, and her dad wanted Wendy to practice some independence, and so Broadripple came up in their research and she was off. Wendy’s hand in the decision-making process was decidedly minimal.
10. Whether they’ve been at Broadripple four days or four years, do they enjoy it? Do they like Broadripple?
Wendy enjoys Broadripple in that it’s fun to romanticize a bunch of old buildings. She enjoys creating narratives about and daydreaming of students of the past among the hallowed halls more than she does doing group projects. The school itself is too far-removed from society for her to find it particularly scintillating, but she’s making do! She’s a pretty positive person, though undoubtedly impatient. But she’ll admit it has its other draws. Their reputation is near-flawless—disregarding all that spooky shit, which she personally finds cool and intriguing, since the endless forest has some real The Witch vibes—and it bolsters a lot of interesting clubs and classes she can be a part of. The longer she attends, the more uncomfortable she is with the wealth of her peers, as well as impatient with those she deems rude and snobbish. She also has a habit of falling in love/developing crushes easily, often, and recklessly, and Broadripple certainly doesn’t have a shortage of attractive people. It’s a real gold mine, there.
11. What house are they in? Do they care very much about their house?
Wendy is in Keough. She likes the sense of belonging and the camaraderie, real or imagined.
12. Who do they share a dorm with, or are they on their own for the moment? What are they like to live with? Are they clean or messy? Early risers or night owls?
At the moment, Wendy is on her own! So that leaves her to be as messy as she wants — and she can be very messy. One side of her bed is for sleeping, the other is for trash, textbooks, homework, magazines, etc. If she had a roommate, I imagine she might drive them a little nuts with it. In general, I’d say she is more of an early riser. She’s someone who is somehow simultaneously lazy and restless, so she likes to get to bed early to veg out on her laptop with a bag of goldfish and then she’s up early to get her day started.
13. How is your character’s dorm decorated? Is it bare or bursting at the seems with personality? Any particular sentimental items from home?
Wendy is a proponent of the opposite of minimalism, which is Clutterbitch. She has various knick knacks and pictures and posters, as well as plenty of bins and storage to keep all her products, books, snacks, etc. There is no surface left untouched, let’s say that, and most likely a string of fairy lights somewhere. She also has a couple half-dead plants by her window, a Lykke Li poster on her wall, and a collection of postcards from her sister who travels around the country with the nonprofit she works for.
14. What is their favourite subject at school? Do they even have a favourite? Why?
Wendy’s favorite subject is Literature Analysis. She enjoys it because it is something of a creative outlet; she firmly believes there’s a lot of leeway in how things can be interpreted and she enjoys interpreting things ad nauseam. She particularly likes when they cover poets, but none of that boring classical white guy stuff. She’s more of a Toni Morrison-Mary Oliver-Anne Sexton-Jeanette Winterson-Gwendolyn Brooks type.
15. Are they involved in any clubs? Which ones?
Wendy is a member of the Chamber Choir, Women of Broadripple, and Yearbook (writer).
16. How does your character feel about Broadripple’s Unofficial Clubs? Do they know about them? Are they a part of any of them?
BBC: Gag! Like, morally. But if anyone hot happened to pay attention to her and let her borrow a pen one day, then who knows skjdn.
Chastity Club: Old School(TM). Pass!
BAU: Sign her tf up! She’d definitely be a member.
17. Does your character participate in any sports? If so, what made them join the team?
Noooope.
18. What afternoon activities does your character do? Do they just do the one mandatory one or are they involved in multiple? Why?
Wendy is involved in two afternoon activities, because she likes having things to do that aren’t burdensome and people to talk to. She’s involved in photography (she’s not very good but she’s having fun and hey, isn’t that what matters?) and the seasonal musical production. She is always a member of the company, never a lead, and again: she’s here to have a blast! Maybe look a bit foolish now and again. It’s NBD.
19. Do they miss their home when they’re at Broadripple? Do they often go home for the weekends or do they only go home during holiday breaks?
Wendy misses home a lot. She misses the noise and bustle and even the grey griminess of Boston. She misses her neighborhood and her neighbors, including (but only a teeny tiny bit) the annoying college kids encroaching on in. She misses her grandma’s cooking and her dad’s booming laughter and the smell of her mom’s perfume. She’s a very sentimental, clingy person. It’s hard for her to be away from the people she loves. Every once in awhile she’ll take a Greyhound back home for the weekend.
20. Did your character know Izzy De Santis or Maggie Monroe?
She did not know either of them. Maggie was in her year and maybe they shared a few classes but they never really spoke (*wendy voice*: the vibes were off), but she is totally wigged out by their disappearances.
21. Has your character heard of Edith Lynch? Do they know the story?
Wendy has heard of Edith Lynch and she has heard the story. After her parents chose Broadripple, they came across it in their research and they had a little sit-down talk about it because they’re a bit dramatic as hell. It was mostly to keep Wendy from using it as a reason not to go and involved the refrain of “it was thirty years ago, you’re gonna be fine, go memorize the Commandments.”
22. How does your character feel about Nighmore? Have they noticed the recently closed shops yet?
Wendy thinks Nighmore is pretty boring, but she definitely knows the shops in and out in search of entertainment. So she’ll have noticed some are closed. Bit sus!
23. Have you made any aesthetic Pinterest boards/WeHeartIt collections for this character? Or playlists? Anything you would like to share!
THIS is Wendy’s pinterestboard. I hope to post a playlist of songs she listens to soon.
Let me know if you’d like to form a connection or plot. I’ll be throwing up a connections page ASAP.

About the Muse
I was tagged like a month ago by @laurelsofhighever--sorry for missing it the first time!
Your muse’s name: Gwendolyn Cousland
A favorite picture/faceclaim of your muse: Here is some actual art I’ve done of Gwen, but also I’m indulging my favorite heatwave activity and making her with this picrew by @sangled:
Tumblr media
((Except I already messed up because I forgot her eyes are grey, not green lol))
Two headcanons you have for your muse:
Eleanor and Bryce Cousland didn’t talk much about their famous courtship to their children. Gwen had heard a few anecdotes from others around the castle, but it wasn’t until she was traveling after their death that she learned the full story and heard The Soldier and the Seawolf. As much as she appreciates being able to hear her parents’ story in any tavern across Ferelden, she still has an “ew, gross, those are my parents” moment ever time.
After the Blight, it’s about ten years before Gwen goes back to Highever. She spends time with Fergus when he’s elsewhere in Ferelden, but not as much as they both would like. Finally, when she marries King Alistair after the events of Inquisition, they go to Highever together to make a formal visit and unveil the statue of Duncan they had discussed after his death. After that, Gwen stops by Castle Cousland any time her Warden duties take her nearby.
Three things that your muse likes doing in their free time:
At Castle Cousland: sparring with Ser Gilmore! The two grew up close, and it was always a race to see who could learn some dirty new trick and knock the other flat on their back during practice. When they weren’t sparring, they would team up to bother Fergus, which worked out well for Gilmore because Gwen always caught the blame.
During the Blight: swapping stories and songs with her companions
Post-Inquisition: what started as a bit of a stunt to get Alistair’s advisors to allocate money towards repairing and revitalizing the alienage (“Well, if there are truly no funds, I’ll go out there with a hammer myself.” “Wait--no--my lady--the princess-consort of Ferelden cannot spend her afternoon on a ladder repairing roofs in the alienage--”) became a good way to de-stress, spend time among the people, and make sure that Denerim’s city elves had a direct way to access the Crown
Seven people your muse loves/likes:
Just from those who are still alive by the end of Origins, and just mentioning the companions she’s closest to (there are so many!):
Alistair Theirin: Gwen and Alistair got off on the wrong foot because his sense of humor rubbed her the wrong way when her grief was still so fresh. Fighting their way to the beacon during the battle of Ostagar forced them to learn to cooperate, and when Gwen woke up at Flemeth’s cottage later, she realized that they were in the same boat. They became fast friends almost overnight, then fell in love gradually as they traveled and suffered and learned. Alistair ended things between them after the Landsmeet, citing his duty to the Crown. It was ten years before they were reunited at Skyhold and more yet before they were married.
Zevran Arainai: Gwen couldn’t put her finger on why she trusted Zevran when they first met, but that trust was justified a hundred times over. Though it took them a long time to open up to each other, they became quite literally ride or die for each other. They traveled together when they could after the Blight but lost touch after a few years when Zevran began targeting the Crows. They reconnected when Gwen was on a mission to help the Inquisitor eradicate Darkspawn on the Storm Coast.
Wynne: Gwen latched on to Wynne as a parental figure during the Blight. The two women spent a lot of time together, and Wynne was always the one willing to offer blunt criticism when Gwen fucked up.
Leliana: Leliana helped Gwen re-learn how to be happy and lighthearted even in the face of hardship. It was good to have a friend to talk to normal things about.
Fergus Cousland: Their age gap meant that the two didn’t always get along during their childhood, but as Gwen hit her late teenage years and Fergus got married, they became very close. That closeness would only be cemented by the massacre at Castle Cousland, even if Gwen couldn’t bring herself to spend too much time with her brother in the years following. It wasn’t until they were older yet that they were able to have a frank conversation about what happened and what they both went through.
Rena Trevelyan: when Gwen was invited to Skyhold to help train their recruits against Darkspawn, she tried to take the younger Inquisitor under her wing. That dynamic didn’t exactly work out but they remained friends.
Magnus: Gwen’s faithful mabari. Legend has it he killed more Darkspawn than either of the actual wardens during the Blight.
A phobia your muse has:
She doesn’t do well with fireworks or explosions.

Inquisitor Bio
Name: Rosalind Gwendolyn Evelyn Trevelyan
Race: Human (Nobel)
Class: Rogue Dual Wielding.
Gender: Female
Sexual Preference: Pansexual.
Nicknames: Rosie (by members of her family). Rose (by a fair few others). Kadan/Boss (by The Iron Bull). Your Worship (styled title). Robin (by Varric)
Biography:
Born to Alec and Esme Trevelyan in 9:16 Dragon, Rosalind is the third oldest of five children and the oldest daughter. Born to be the Princess of Starkhaven her parent’s ambition for her ended when the Vael’s youngest son Sebastian was sent to the Chantry in Kirkwall for ‘unspecified reasons’, with her family’s plans for her in ruins Rosalind was allowed for the first time to decide her own path. After much consideration she decided she wished to extend her studies in The University of Orlais, and, after much resistance from her father, she did just that in 9:32 Dragon, she also chose to train to become a Bard at much the same time. She flourished in Orlais where her natural wit and charm was encouraged instead of being ignored. In particular, her religious and political views (considered ‘extreme and liberal to the point of absurdity’ by her family) were encouraged and debated on with her peers and professors. She quickly found herself employed as a Bard by multiple members of Empress Celine’s court and eventually by the Empress herself. She also found herself part of the Mage Rebellion, in particular The Underground movement, especially following her parent’s decision to mover her sister Cecilia from the Ostwick Circle to the Kirkwall one. Following the events of 9:37 Dragon Rosalind ceased her involvement in this issue and refocused her efforts as a Bard and Scholar as she believed her beloved sister had died in the events at Kirkwall and found her grief to be a weakness.
She found considerable success in both aspects of her life and even forged new alliances for the Trevelyan name. That was until her sister’s existence was made public in the Orleasian court by an ex-lover of hers and Rosalind was forced to play the martyr in order to gain the upper hand in The Great Game (it worked). This resulted in her being given an invitation to The Conclave in The Temple of Sacred Ashes from Divine Justinia V as her unique perspective would be ‘invaluable’. Ultimately this was a trap as The Trevelyan family had fallen out of favour as they had abandoned their own child (this goes against the Chantry’s teachings) as well as being a mocking gesture about the pamphlets and essays Rosalind had written over the years on Mage Rights and freedoms. Despite knowing this she still attended as not doing so would have been the death of her political and academic career. There she began noticing the strange actions of several participants and followed it back to Corypheous and the Grey Wardens under his control performing a ritual on The Divine and interrupted it, accidently becoming the Herald of Andraste in the process.

Romance: The Iron Bull
Personality:
Duty first. Raised in a religious household Rosalind often finds herself conflicted between what she was taught by her tutors and governesses in The Chants and by what she considers ‘right’. This shows itself most prevenantly in her opinions on Mages. Whilst she supports their rights and believes they deserve freedom she also believes they should be kept an eye on and did struggle with having to chose between them and the Templars. However, ultimately Rosalind will always side with those who have little to no voice as she believes it is her duty as a believer in the teachings of The Holy Andraste. Deeply honourable Rosalind was renowned for rarely killing a target and would often find a scandal that would humiliate them out of court but, depending on the noble, could be politically survivable in a generation or two. Prone to cynicism and dry wit Rosalind often uses her appearance to hide/ blend in with those around her, especially nobles, in order to gain useful information and is known for being as quick with a remark as with a dagger. Despite this Orleasian nobility would often look down their noses at her quant noble line, and she would similarly do the same to them for their self obsessed nature. Ultimately Rosalind has a survivalist mentality as, whilst she does look several steps ahead, she is prone to solving one crises at a time and tends to contradict herself as a result, e.g: with The Grey Warden treaties and with her own personal beliefs on conscription.
Personal beliefs:
Liberal at the core but her strict, conservative and Andrastian upbringing can show itself. Her sense of duty often causes her actions to clash with other members of the Inquisition and even her own family. Her years of bardic training and her own natural curiosity causes her to ask questions and search out infomation for any subject even if she doesn't always share it, especially considering her own secretive nature, as well as her past indescretions in The Great Game. A firm believer in The Maker and the teachings of the Holy Andraste she has a habit of defending her own religious beliefs with quotations and quick rhetoric.
Believes in The Circles and the Templar Order but considers it weighed down in political nonscence and believes mages should have freedoms, provided they have certain restrictions. Considers The Circles to be a place of learning and wishes they returned to that.
