. do u think they lay in bed and pretend to hear the whispers of the spirit and not of those that haunt them. when they push the jade crystals through their skin, or hear the clanking of ghostly chains, or the jeering taunts of demons beyond, do you think they wish that their gods hadn't denied them. were they not good enough for them? do the spirits not call to them like the others?

are they heretical, cursed to be denied by the spirits before they had a choice?

I'm kind of mad the charr didnt get the whole body horror, frostbitten, half skeleton-half man thing when they were all icebrooded like the Svanir. The base game Svanir models are scary as hell and they even gave us a new one with the Fraenir in the raven sanctum, but all the charr look like theyve got a cold overlay on them, including Ryland, and I think they shouldve all looked like fucked up monstrosities.

like these bastards have bones showing and fully frozen limbs and the skin you can see is a really frightening pale grey and blue with the ice slowly creeping across their skin and I dont even want to know what their faces look like because
