I have a headcannon that Poe has this mental thing ((I forgot what it was called)) that a friend of mine knows people who have it where you lose more trust in people the closer you get to them -but they do have safe people where that doesn't apply and I HC that Ranpo is Poe's safe person so

Poe pauses, his lips pursed as he looks at the detective before him, "Ranpo. My... my writings for you were only... were only a small part of what had drained me over the years" Ranpo cracks open his green eyes, looking at his partner as Poe straightens himself looking right at the detective, "Ranpo, without having had met you I may have been worse off than I am now."

"How?" Ranpo looks away, a frustrated expression on his face, "You locked yourself up for weeks and even months because of me! You basically threw away your life to make a mystery for me to solve, Ed!"

"Ranpo! You... you didn't harm me as much as you may be thinking you had! You hadn't even known what meeting you would..." Poe clenches his fist before exhaling, "Yes there were people I had... cut out of my life because of my writings and I had... I had lost some closeness with the others in the guild but... I was bound to lose my trust in them eventually."

The two remain silent for a breif stint before Ranpo speaks up again,

"...What the hell does that mean, Ed?"

"It means..." Poe brushes his hair out of his eyes to look at Ranpo properly, "...I have... I have trouble trusting those I am close to. I... the closer I get to others... I... the less I trust them... but then... but then we... after seeing you again we started to get close... I was... I was worried the same thing would happen but... I can never not trust you, Dear."

Ranpo stands there, his eyes wide before his expression softens and they close once more, a laugh escaping his mouth.

"I... I didn't know...!" Ranpo slaps his palm to his forehead, a grin on his face, "I guess you 'hid' it so well it wasn't even a mystery I could solve!" Ranpo continues laughing as Poe beams

"I... " Poe lets his hair fall back over his eyes, a faint blush on his face - Ranpo smiles, both were still a bit uneasy and knowing there was still so much the two had to talk about later.

"Yeah Ed, you beat the great detective Ranpo Edowaga without even trying"

It's really rough and mostly unedited but I wanted to write it after I thought about it.

What if

The old boss was Q's father and Q's ability was inheritance from the old boss like Kyouka inherited her ability from her mom.

It would make sense why Mori had Q in the first place.

And it would explain why Q had such a deadly uncontrolled ability at such a young age in the first place, it would also explain why the boss managed to kill so many people and mafia personal without members of the mafia overruling him- it was because he had others cursed.

And with the incident with Q that got them locked away, what happened could have been so reminiscent of the old boss, Q was locked away because 'They'll just end up like their father either way'. Instead of being taught and supported like a 6 year old SHOULD BE.

Last night I created a Lil guy named Charles Herring.

Charlie was raised in a rich neighborhood and was taught by private tutors at home. Mysteriously, his parents die and he is taken in by a foster parent, who is a trans gay man and challenges Charlie's homophobic world veiw by just existing.

Anyway Charlie meets a witch in the form of a magpie, becomes her apprentice and falls in love with a guy.

The only private tutor Charlie's parents didn't hire was one to teach the poor boy sex ed.
