Fairy Tail fans probably recognized her : this is Seilah, the Blu Moon Demon and one of the 9 Demon Gate of the Tartarus Guild.

I love her design so much, so it was a great opportunity to draw her for the first time in this Inktober.

But I had another opportunity with that man behind her.

It's a manga that I've just started. It is also the first Isekaï that I am currently reading :

I Guess I Became the Mother of the Great Demon King's 10 Children in Another World

or Le Roi Démon et Moi, et nos 10 Enfants in French.

And this man is the Demon King himself ; Guran !

Honestly he is really handsome and this Isekaï is pretty funny so you should check it out guys !

The snow crunched like fresh fallen under Kryli's boots, despite the sky having been clear for quite sometime. A spot which Kryli hadn't visited for years, her old friend having sent word to meet once again.

And after a long awaited hunt back in the forests she had roamed a child, Kryli could truly relax for once. Taking her time, preparing a fire pit as dusk settled. Though she had the fire roaring at cooking temp long before her friend showed up.

Heavy footsteps from behind alerted the seasoned warrior, though her reflexes were for once in vain. As a low hanging branch was pushed aside, revealing a towering red-haired human. The familiar sight of her friend.

"My apologies Kryli." Klaus sat on a nearby flat rock, "I was held up dealing with a small camp of Sons of Svanir."

"And you didn't invite me?"

Klaus chuckled warmly at the joke, excepting a skewer from the woman. The two of them needn't a word beyond that, merely enjoying the quiet after a long hunt. Though with his lack of cooking skills, Klaus was frequently asking for the expertise of his friend.

Neither kept track of the hours as Frenis chewed bones, the two swapping materials for their specific professions. It had been such a common occurrence since their childhood, one that continued whenever they met up. Anyone who had seen these two grow up were merely waiting for the inevitable, simply due to how nearly inseparable they seemed. It was often compared to her bond with her snow leopard.

Reading update:

What can I say that I haven’t already said about this trilogy? I loved the conclusion. I loved the casual queerness, I loved the politics of the world, I loved El and Liesel and Aad. I don’t want to spoil anything because there was a pretty excellent OH SHIT moment.

This was a weird read because I loved the characters and the premise. The beginning was great. But the middle just dragged a bit. I think I still rated it like 4.75 stars because I was able to forgive the draggy middle. Unfortunately I spoiled myself about the big twist, but tbh I had kind of wondered if that’s where it was going. Good read, excited for the second one. I actually almost moved it up in my TBR pile but decided I should probably read the literature that was next in the pile...

And okay you know what, this book was incredible. Gorgeous, aching, gutting. The intersection of immigration, the opioid crisis, and queerness was beautifully portrayed. Should be required reading.

This is one of those romances that was just...fine. I do like the small town romance trope, and I enjoyed the second book in this series well enough (The Beautiful Things Shoppe). In some ways I probably preferred this one. My main complaints are, 1. Stover’s prose, and particularly his dialogue, feels stilted most of the time, and 2. this book contained the worst description of an orgasm I have ever read in my entire life.

Currently reading:

SFF short story collection with queer characters. Pretty much every story has been very good. I just read Tamsyn Muir’s contribution.

ADJF;AKJFK;AJDF;AKDFKDAJ;F can I marry a book? Is that possible? Can I marry this book? Look, I loved Winter’s Orbit—I’ve recommended it to pretty much everyone I know who I think might even vaguely be interested in it—but I think I might love Ocean’s Echo even more. I LOVE Tennal. I LOVE Surit. I love their just barely budding relationship (I just finished part 1). This book is SO FUNNY too. How is it fair that it has great world building, wonderful characters, emotional depth, and it’s funny? Everina Maxwell is my hero.

I’m actually trying to savor this one instead of racing through it. We’ll see how well I do with that.
