I'm fucking trying to look up a certain type of firearm mechanism that I know exists to use as a reference for what I'm building in game but searching for what I'm trying to find is entirely unhelpful. Google just gives me hundreds of """images""" of entirely unrelated guns FOR SALE NOW! and it's really starting to piss me off.

I just know there are guns with a linear selector switch but all Google shows me is AR15s and Glocks because it thinks I am looking to Buy a Product that is On Sale rather than looking for historical / military weapons for reference material use

it has some early firearms in that second list, which (and don't quote me on this) I'm pretty sure is more of a Renaissance thing (maybe not for asian regions, especially china, they had a lot of stuff before everybody else in those days) but I really just clicked them to see how many I knew (like at least 35-40%)

I like looking at depictions of swords in fantasy/fictional media the same way a cat loves a piece of random furniture: by absolutely ripping that shit up

sometimes it's little things like "ok the guard is really tall for some reason that's weird" or "ooh the quillions are silly shaped that could let you do some goofy blade catching stuff

sometimes it's "oh, you went full daedra on this poor thing? let me tear it up with my brain and psychically tell you you're dumb (with all the love in my heart, of course) because your design could hurt you as much as the other guy" or "that's just too fuckin big what is it for nuts bersk or smth" and then it is and im like ":p why am i surprised"

I do this with all the goofy thangs I like where I feel comfortable with my understanding of the subject because it's fun and a reblog is a reblog and I still liked the post too and again I want to say here "with all the love in my heart" because someone worked hard on that and I still respect that and if I ever post art here I want to see this kind of interaction with it I like when they tell me how to improve
