summary: it's a hard day... and a hard day's night.
word count: 3.780k
tw: boxing, fight, blood, badly written emotions (please reassure me that it's not as bad as i think it is)
author's note: it's 3am but i couldn't rest until i post this sooo here we are uwu
part 1 part 2 part 3 part 4 part 5 playlist!!
walking to the bookstore, y/n talked with her boss on her phone so she could switch her shift today with somebody else. she also thought about her chances and possibilities. she got a second chance (or rather hyeon-ju got it from her), she’s gonna talk through it. and if it’s successful, then she’s going with them, and if it blows, then… she’s gonna use yang-jung’s and doo-young’s help. it’s always another way, isn't it? and with gun-woo… shit, they’re gonna figure it out.
when she turned into the street, she already saw gun-woo. picking the earphones out from her ear, she smiled as she got there. when they got in front of each other, y/n initiated a hug. please accept it, please accept it and don’t push me away, she thought, but when gun-woo wrapped his arms around her too, she felt relief.
“y/n, was work alright?” work? oh, yeah… y/n nodded.
“yeah, i talked with him about switching my shift tonight, he was alright with that.” she answered. before she could go in, gun-woo seemed to take a deep breath. “what, do you wanna say something, gun-woo?”
gun-woo looked at her, then sighing a short breath, he shook his head.
“no, i… i don’t. let’s go get there, hyeon-ju is waiting for you.”
“is everything alright?” y/n asked. “like, did hyeon-ju forgive the two of you?”
“yeah, she did. but sir choi, her granddad was here. he said that he’s disappointed in her, but then one word led to another, and he told me and woo-jin to go home. then, we ate… and that’s all.”
“oh…” y/n muttered. “he probably isn't happy that we get ourselves into danger. but until nobody, not even the police does something, we should call this progress, too.” maybe she should tell yang-jung and doo-young what they plan.
y/n nodded, following him, but then he slowed down so they walked beside each other.
“are you nervous?”
“a little bit. but it’s gonna be okay. see, gun-woo… if this doesn’t work out, can we… so, can we keep the contact? i know work is work, but you… and woo-jin, “she added hurriedly, didn’t want to reveal her real thoughts, “, i think we became good friends for a short time.”
gun-woo nodded.
“of course, y/n! i was thinking about the same thing. but you and hyeon-ju are going to talk through this, so you're gonna stay with us. i guess she’s thinking the same way, you seem good, and the more we are, the better.”
“i hope it, too.” y/n sighed as they entered the bookstore. hyeon-ju and woo-jin were there, and suddenly a pregnant weight laid on the room as y/n looked at hyeon-ju. okay, just be calm and collected. don’t lose your mind because of a few words. she probably doesn’t really thinks what she says, y/n said to herself.
“please sit down, y/n.” she did as hyeon-ju told, tucking her hair behind her ear.
“i heard you want to talk with me. about what?” y/n asked, looking and gun-woo, then back to the other girl. hyeon-ju’s face was serious.
“i am sorry for what happened yesterday. i said things hastily and thoughtlessly.” she said. y/n lifted her eyebrows, like ‘that’s all?’ but yeah, that seemed to be all. for a girl like hyeon-ju, it got to be taken as an apology, and a process for their future.
“apology accepted.” although i don’t believe it, she added, but only to herself.
“i called for you because i have a new plan. we stalk yang jae-myeong again, but this time, it’s gotta be more careful. i drive the three of you at midnight, anywhere where they go. is this alright with you?”
y/n looked at woo-jin and gun-woo again. they both smiled a little, encouraging her to participate. nodding, y/n looked at her again.
“it’s okay. i just ask for some preparation time. i’m hungry, and a coffee could do good to me.”
“okay, we planned to start at night. be here at ten, as far as i know, yang jae-myeong’s gang doesn’t make a move before sunset.” y/n nodded at hyeon-ju’s words.
“i’m going to get some food. gun-woo said that you already ate, so…”
“i can go with you.” the said boy stood up. “if yang jae-myeong knows that someone is following them, we are stronger together. nevertheless it’s daylight or not.”
woo-jin and hyeon-ju nodded, making y/n gulp. she would lie if she said that her heartbeat didn’t increase, and she hoped that the warmness doesn’t manifest as redness on her cheeks.
“well, then… we’ll be there at ten, or sooner. probably sooner.” she said, standing up. gun-woo kept the door open as she stepped out, walking out from the bookstore. they’re going, together! can they mean this as a date? not an original date, but still, going out together.
“it was easier than i thought.” she said as they walked on the fresh aired streets.
“yeah, me too.” gun-woo sighed.
“what do you mean?” she asked, furrowing her eyebrows.
“i just mean that you and hyeon-ju are also stubborn. maybe hyeon-ju is more, but still, i thought that the two of you were gonna fight again.”
“do i really seem that headstrong? damn, i thought i softened through the years i spent in the bar… nevertheless, this conversation was good as it was; short, and direct. sometimes it’s all that’s needed.” y/n shrugged her shoulders. “do you drink coffee? we can eat something small.”
“you should eat more, you barely eat some pieces of vegetables in the morning. it’s gonna be a long night.” gun-woo offered, pointing to a restaurant. “we were there with woo-jin, that’s a good place! it has meat as good as steak.”
“you really like steak, don’t you? if i get my salary, maybe we can go and eat some. my boss is fumbling with my bonus and raise anyway.” she replied, making gun-woo shake his head.
“no, don’t do that! i don’t want to take your money away.”
“hush, i’d probably spend it on some useless things. eating some good food is the real good thing, mainly if you are with good company. i don’t know if i said this earlier, but i didn’t have a good company… or any company at all.” she said as they entered the restaurant. sitting down, gun-woo took off his jacket.
“i'm gonna bring meat. we can grill it here, is it okay with you?”
“of course, can you pick some kimchi too? and soy sauce, i really like soy sauce.” y/n added, getting comfortable in her seat.
y/n and gun-woo talked about many things while eating, gun-woo told her about his childhood, the time when he was in the military, and when he was working at any place he could.
“we aren’t the richest family, but i wanted to do anything i could. but boxing, boxing was always there in my life, it was something that i didn’t ever stop doing.”
“i feel you, gun-woo. when my father… well, when he died, the gym i trained in regularly was my safe haven. it was just me, my anger and my pain. people like me… like us, as far as i know, have something that’s consistent. a feeling, a thought, a purpose, anything. what brought you to the training everyday?”
“to protect others. and to get as strong as i can.”
“nice purpose. mine is terminated, ending with one big event. but i don’t know when that event is gonna happen, so it’s quite funny.”
“why, what’s your purpose?”
“to avenge my father’s death. sure, it wasn’t that strong, but since the three of you emerged, i got a little eager. it’s not an everyday offer what the three of you did for so long, that’s why i try to keep up with you as long as i can. and in the end, maybe i’m gonna succeed.”
“i’m sure we're gonna succeed. your family doesn’t have to worry about your father’s memory. and you too shouldn’t worry about it.”
“thanks, gun-woo.”
“no need to. and… i know that this may not be the right time to ask something like this, but since you asked that we could keep in contact, i…”
“you…?” y/n asked, hoping that gun-woo’s gonna say the words she wanted to hear in that exact moment.
“...i’m not professional with this, and i’m not good with words either. however, i have to take this risk before something happens. so, y/n, would you like to go on a date with me?”
“what?” y/n whispered, not believing what he said. he really… like really likes her? with an attitude like hers? with a life like hers? gun-woo looked at her, waiting for her reaction. sitting in silence, y/n’s brain had to process the information.
“i mean, you don’t have to, if you don’t want to. and we can stay good friends, i just felt the need… to tell you this.”
“no, no, of course i want to go on a date with you!” y/n protested, silencing when she noticed how loud she was, and the old waitress lady looked at her too. “it’s just that… i never thought you'd ask this. but i’d like to go, of course i’d like to!”
“that’s wonderful! i mean, i’m glad that you feel the same way. i’m not good at relationships, and i don’t have many fine clothes, and i didn’t wear them until now, but to dress in if we go out…  for you, i’d do it. and i’d buy new ones.” he looked so determined, y/n wanted to kiss him.
his words made y/n blush, bumping his hand to stop him somehow. she wasn’t sick of this, she was just too embarrassed, but in a good way. it was the best thing a guy ever told her was that ‘don’t worry, i never want to get you pregnant, so we always gonna use protection’ (they were seventeen for fuck’s sake), or ‘baby, i’d always choose you over the drugs. i’m gonna throw it all out, but please, don’t call my parents, or my boss’ (she broke up with him in the detox, and he probably didn’t even realize the whole thing from the medicines). her love life surely wasn’t a success story, but maybe, this was her chance. and she’s gonna take it, but first, she needs to calm down the too eager boy in front of her.
“no, gun-woo… you don’t have to do that. i don’t value that much.”
“woah, you’re so silly. don’t say this.” gun-woo cut her off, making her ogling her eyes.
“what? stop saying i’m silly!”
“no, i won’t stop saying it. you are worth that much, and i want to do it the proper way.”
in the proper way? y/n didn’t understand this. probably she never dated the proper way.
“okay, well… if you want it in the proper way… we'll do it in the proper way.” y/n smiled, reaching out her hand to hold gun-woo’s. gun-woo snickered a little, “what?” she asked.
“it’s just… it was so easy, like not that i mind it, but… you know, i thought you don’t want to go out with me. that you like guys who're like woo-jin.”
“like woo-jin? like, the bad guy type? or what?”
“yeah… probably?” gun-woo tilted his head, making y/n laugh, looking into his eyes. she tried not to tear up from the happiness that came to her today. she felt herself sensitive, but maybe, with gun-woo, it was okay. he could handle it, not like many others in her life. they never seemed to understand her, and they only looked out for themselves.
“then don’t worry, gun-woo. i had bad guys in my life, but… maybe it’s time for some good. thank you.” she whispered, holding with either of her hands gun-woo’s one, kneading a little bit with the tips of her fingers. gun-woo’s lips widened into a smile, and y/n fell in love with his cute tooth. how could someone be this perfect?
“eat some more, y/n. you barely touched your food.”
“okay, okay, i can’t be sentimental for a moment?” y/n replied smirking, taking a bite from the meat, sighing and rolling her eyes. she felt every fiber melting on her tongue, spreading a delicious taste in her whole mouth. “it’s the most wonderful meat i’ve ever eaten! you worked at that barbecue place for a reason! they better gave you a raise.”
“i’m glad it’s delicious.” gun-woo’s lips were so pink. y/n was happy that now, she could think about these things without guilt.
“why didn’t you tell me this earlier? next time you're gonna cook breakfast or dinner, and i’m gonna be the sous chef.” she said, biting and chewing on another nibble.
little did y/n and gun-woo know that the night brings something new. something harsh and cruel. something they didn’t count on.
[ 𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄𝐒𝐊𝐈𝐏 ]
night again, stalking yang jae-myeong and his gang again. y/n’s thoughts ticked around the fact that yang jae-myeong knew that someone was following him –so what if they prepared something for them? gun-woo sat beside her, and if he didn’t hear the cogs ticking in her brain, he could clearly see that she was deep in her thoughts.
“what’s the matter, y/n?” he asked, making her sigh, shaking her head.
“yeah, it’s just… the whole thing. i hope everything will be fine.”
“don’t worry, y/n, if we get into trouble, we’ll kick, punch and fight ourselves out of the situation!” woo-jin leaned back, grinning, sitting on the passenger seat beside hyeon-ju. y/n smiled a little, gun-woo touched her hand.
“everything will be alright. we go down there, we stalk and then hyeon-ju picks us up.”
“yeah, sure.” y/n gulped, accepting gun-woo’s hand as they got out of the car. walking down on the stairs to the subway, y/n adjusted the mask on her face. she couldn’t even get a deep breath in this crappy mask, she’ll rip it down from her face as soon as the pandemic is over.
but really, y/n’s hunches were real. she got more and more worried at every step, but she couldn’t tell the two guys to go home and end the mission before it could even get started. gun-woo peeked out from behind the wall, but he withdrew as soon as he could.
“come on out!” y/n looked at woo-jin. this was enough for her to complete the information that they were fucked. even a hundred bad men waited for them down there, or they would come. or worse. woo-jin looked at y/n, signing her something she couldn’t understand, but from the last hand movements, she could read that ‘stay behind’. “i know you’re there, so hurry up and show yourselves, fuckers! come out, you son of a bitch! are you playing hide and seek? motherfuckers…” gun-woo and woo-jin stepped out from behind the wall. “you bitch, come too! you think i didn’t see you yesterday? yes, behind the wall! do you think i’ll spare these guys if you are here? don’t get your hopes high!”
despite woo-jin’s stare, y/n sighed and followed the two before her. she knew that it’s gonna be a hard night. at first she heard footsteps from above them, and she thought that someone was just passing on the streets, but as soon as she heard some metal clinking to the barriers, she closed her eyes, sighing. she felt in danger, and felt really anxious. those were metal bats, and she saw them enough times when she was little. one brother of her friends’ was beaten up by it, and the bruises were there for weeks, even. she lost count of the boots that were stepping down to them, and thought about chances. sure, she could bear some beats if it were two or three of them, but smile capital surely didn’t send only two or three men. should she message doo-young or yang-jung? but he had a pregnant wife at home… but y/n was in life danger… but she could be in life danger too, pregnancy is dangerous… yang-jung was probably doing something by not calling her all day, but… maybe he would come and rescue them? the more worry she thought about, the less time she got for seeking help. it’s useless anyway, y/n thought as she forced herself to forget her phone. looking at gun-woo, he stepped beside her as the soldiers surrounded them.
“don’t worry, y/n, i’ll protect you.” gun-woo said, but y/n shook her head, putting up a fighting position. it was cute from him, and she appreciated it, but all those years’ exercises can’t go to the garbage, not now.
“you don’t need to, you look out for yourself, and i look out for myself. they’re overpowering, and if we don’t look out, it can turn really serious.” at the end, she nearly had to shout because of the noises that got louder and louder. black uniformed men were everywhere, bats in their hands, while they had only their fists. y/n took off her mask, revealing her face and hair, but at the same time, she grit her teeth like a tiger before attacking its prey.
they wanted to fight, they’re gonna get it. and we will punch, kick and fight out ourselves from any situation they got into, aren't we, woo-jin?
breathing in and out, y/n clenched her fists, looking for the weak points on their body. it’s gonna be alright. she will get hurt, that’s sure, but she will survive. it’s only just a few scratches. like she survived the death of her family. just a few scratches.
the fight was cruel. not because it was difficult –those men could only beat with their bats, she could lean or jump out of the way, but there were many, many soldiers. not to mention that her body was aching everywhere, not with sharp ache, but with dull, neverending ache. it was tiring, after beating one man down just to protect herself from another one, y/n prayed. please, be this the last one. or this. or this. she tried to look for gun-woo and woo-jin, but in the big ocean of black coats and metal bats, it was difficult to spot them, and she needed to look out for the incoming punches. but then, she noticed that someone was there too. someone new. taking down men from one by one.
it was hyeon-ju.
y/n striked back at the last man that seemed to attack her, rushing to hyeon-ju’s rescue. she had one man on her, shielding herself with him as others were trying to beat down on her own body.
“girl, we needed you!” y/n yelled, knocking down one man with a bat she found on the ground, and she didn’t throw it away. if you throw away the weapon that saved your life once, you are dead, her father used to say this. so now, this metal bat was her patron saint. gun-woo and woo-jin came too, so they could take down the last few men. when it was over, y/n didn’t want to believe it. how long did they spend down here? hours? half an hour? to her, it seemed like all day long. she could think about seeking information from any man, but before she could move, gun-woo came into her eyesight, grabbing the sides of her face.
“are you alright, y/n?” he was breathing heavily, too. y/n nodded her head.
“yeah, yeah, i’m fine.”
“let’s go back”, woo-jin said, as they all hurried up the stairs. y/n ran as fast as she could despite her injuries, she never wanted to go down there, ever.
hopping into the car, y/n’s all body ached. her neck, her shoulders, her spine, her waist, her legs… she didn’t got many bruise on her face, although the edge of her eyebrows got a scratch, and her lip was swollen, but all the other bruises waited her in the bathroom, were she and gun-woo went after getting to the bookstore.
“could you please look at my back? it really hurts.” y/n whined as she tried to pull down her sweater. gun-woo grabbed her arms softly, making her look at him.
“i’ll help you.” he said, and with cooperation, her top was peeled down. she heard gun-woo hiss,
“what? is it that bad?” she asked, a little bit scared. she can’t go to work like this.
“you’ll need a cream for this. and maybe a bandage.” he lightly touched it, making her back shiver and sprouting goosebumps on her skin.
“fuck…” y/n muttered, as she saw that her arms and chest was swollen too. purple, red, green, yellow… how could some of her bruises get green and yellow this soon? it will hurt, it will really hurt tomorrow.
“don’t worry, we have some at home.” gun-woo tried to ease her worries. as y/n looked at him, his face was bleeding. how could she not notice it after the fight?
“wait, gun-woo. you have blood on your face”, she said as she got a towel under warm water from the tap. brushing away his hair, y/n tried to be as careful as possible, and when his face was clean, she accidentally touched the band aid, trying to bring down her hand. “i’m sorry… did they hurt it?”
“no. do you… wanna see?” his voice was low and quiet.
y/n shook her head, stroking it lightly. they were so close, they could easily kiss. not to mention that not only gun-woo’s face, but his body was also desirable, she wanted to stroke it all night as he slept, to ease the pain, and maybe to raise some desire in him. would it be evil? sure. but would it be wonderful? also sure.
“no, not if you don’t want to show me.”
she leaned closer, and gun-woo wasn’t pushing her away, or turning away. do you… want this as much as i want this? y/n could swore that this kiss could cure all her pain. she could already feel the soft lips on hers, just from looking at them, and the strong arms wrapping around her. as she turned her head, she was ready to embrace the feeling of their love, the relief of survival, and all his longing…
but then, his phone buzzed.

Gun Woo and Woo Jin from Bloodhounds to me are like Mako Mori and Raleigh Becket from Pacific Rim. Yeah they could be in love with each other. Yeah they could be close friends who love each other like siblings. Whatever it is, the point is that they love each other so much, they'd do anything for each other and nobody knows them like they know each other. However u want to see it, that's how it is because either way, there's love there and there's literally no way to deny it

Ready or Not : a Gun-woo x f!reader oneshot
Tumblr media
Summary: Gun-woo has learned things are not going entirely to plan with his money grabbing scheme and he needs his wife to help him get rid of some tension.
A/N: Gif really has nothing to do with exact moment used from the film for this, but I am insane, so I do not care. You can pry it from my cold, dead hands. I love his cheeky smile.
NSFW
Tumblr media
You were lounging on the king size bed when your cell phone trilled, the ringtone set for your husband's number and only his. You set your book upside down on the duvet and stretch to reach it, swiping to answer. You could hear his quick breaths on the other end of the call before either of you spoke. You sat up quickly and crossed your legs.
"Hey, husband" you murmured. "Good or bad day?"
He grunted and your spine straightened.
"Bad" he muttered. "I - I need you to be ready for me. Can you do that, princess?"
You nodded to yourself; you'd had a feeling...
"Yes. Instructions, handsome?"
He sighed, and you could hear the relief in the sound. He shuffled round a bit and you could hear the scrape of his nails over the leather of his belt. You waited a little longer.
"You know the light blue set I bought for your birthday?"
You slid off the bed and padded to the towering dresser, pulling open the lingerie drawer, riffling through until you found the right set.
"Sorted" you said, laying the delicate material on the foot of the bed and already shimmying out of your pajama shorts.
"Need lube, princess."
His voice was low, a little hoarse, and a shiver rocked down your spine.
"Uh huh" you mumbled, barely restricting a moan at the end. "How do you want me?"
You heard the slam of a car door and a quiet groan, a metallic clink as he opened his belt, the sound of tyres as the car pulled out of its park.
"On all fours, princess" he rasped, barely above a whisper. "As ready as possible, yes? I need you."
You bit your lip, glancing across the room at the half full bottle of lubricant standing on your bedside cabinet.
"Okay, husband" you whispered. "I can do that. Get here fast, 'kay? I love you."
"Love you, princess."
The line deadened and you got moving, finishing stripping and pulling the lingerie into place, tiny satin bows resting against your clit and nipples. Gun-woo had made certain they were the exact perfect fit so he could drive you crazy with the teasing fabric.
You flinched a little, the tiny bows already doing their work, and reached for the lube bottle.
Tumblr media
You heard Gun-woo's familiar footsteps, loud at first and then quieter as he kicked off his shoes, and then the exhilarating clink and thud of his belt hitting the marble floor.
He found you waiting right how he wanted, your head turned so that you could see him stride into the room, his dress trousers open and the zip down. You could see the strain against the sleek fabric and shuffled on the bed, rubbing your thighs together to try and get some relief. Lubricant had pooled in your fancy expensive blue panties and you watched his hot dark eyes zone in on the wet patch.
Gun-woo offered you your favourite grin, lopsided and just a little cocky, as he came to stand behind you and lean forward, relishing your tiny gasp and wriggle as he pressed his covered, straining cock against your barely covered heat.
"Good girl" he mumbled. "I like these on you."
He reached underneath you and slid his fingertips over the bows on your bra, causing you to jerk back against him and another unrestrained gasp to fall from your mouth.
"You did as you were told" he murmured. "So good for me, princess. I think you're ready."
He tucked his fingers between your thighs and played tauntingly with the bow on your clit and you whined and bucked, pressing down into his hand and backwards against his cock.
"I'm ready, I'm so ready!" you cried out.
Gun-woo smoothed a warm, steady hand down your spine, deepening your arch a little, then shed his jacket and pulled himself free of his trousers and underwear, his other hand finding the side of your panties and pulling, hard. The delicate fabric tore almost instantly and you cried out, pushing back toward him.
He wasted no time in pushing into you, bottoming out with a guttural groan as lubricant mixed with your slick coated his cock and made the initial entry almost too easy. You gasped out a moan and dug your fingers into the duvet, curling them into fists just as he pulled free and shoved back in, palming your hips and setting a brutal pace.
He was still mostly dressed and sweat gilded his forehead from his earlier stress and his current efforts, dark eyes wide and focused fully on you as you whimpered and shook, trembled under his onslaught. As he moved, leaning over you a little to whisper in your ear, he brought the cool, sharp scent of his cologne with him.
Your eyes rolled as you inhaled, the spicy scent filling your head and blurring everything else. All you knew was him surrounding you, clouding your mind, drowning in his scent as he plunged in and out, his cock building friction you couldn't get enough of.
Gun-woo moaned right in your ear as you tightened on him, desperate, soaked and throbbing. Trusting you to hold yourself up, he shifted his hands from your hips to your breasts, rubbing his fingers over the satin bows until your nipples pushed them out and then plucking at and rolling them between his fingertips. He sighed as you whined and gasped, trying to push yourself further onto him as he railed into you again.
"You always do so well for me, princess" he murmured, grinning over your head at the bedroom wall. "So wet, wife. All riled up for me, huh? What is it, honey? Why are you so tight? Why so happy to see me?"
You fought against the cologne fog in your mind to give him an answer, but the sweet, hard drag of his cock inside you was making it difficult. You choked it out eventually, unable to see his pleased, indulgent smile, so pleased that he could so easily break your ability to think straight.
"You - you smell good!"
Gun-woo huffed a laugh, lowered his head to bite your shoulder, soothing over the indent with his tongue as you writhed and whimpered, seizing around his cock.
"Do I?" he asked, amused. "I'll buy more of it then, princess. Okay?"
He punctuated this with another hard, brutal thrust that drove you up the bed on your knees. You nodded weakly, thrusting your hips back and feeling him slide in whole again. He swore quietly and carefully slipped a hand up your shoulder, soothing it over your throat and tipping your head back. You squeezed him again and he groaned, pressing in until he had taken up all the available space.
"I need to have more bad days" he rasped, lightly squeezing your throat, just enough to have you wriggle under him and keen. "If this is the reception I get. I smell good? You feel incredible, princess. Taking me so well. I love you."
You moaned and nodded, and he understood: you couldn't talk right now, his cock, his hands and his mouth were rendering you speechless. He got it. He smiled again and doubled down on his efforts, his hips bullying your body, slamming against your ass with every thrust.
As he felt his climax rushing at him like a train, he leaned in close and whispered in your ear.
"I'll make you come later, okay?"
You didn't get a chance to respond before he was arching into you, grunting roughly, filling you fast and hot. You collapsed and he followed you down, nuzzling at your bitten shoulder. He kissed the angry mark.
"Thanks, princess."

There’s something I really like about Gun Woo’s character and the way they presented him in particular and that’s his ordinary extraordinariness. Gun Woo is amazing, he’s a prodigal boxer who can take down most opponents with just his left hand and about 10 or more men with his right. He’s brave, compassionate, and idealistic. He’s got pretty much every trait that any big shot heroic type character would have, but he seems extremely ordinary most of the time.
And I love that, I LOVE his ordinariness. He’s just a guy; who loves his best friend and his found family and his mom, and he’s just trying to do everything he can to do right by them and he’s dough eyed and emotional and silly and wonderful, and truly just a guy. And that’s everything to me

@seamayweed: #i love him so much you don't even know #i'm sure he was thinking of myeong-gil and his offer to come and work for him here too #the face-carving was such a defining moment #and i feel like he tries to define himself afterwards by that too #by trying even harder to be the opposite of everything myeong-gil is and stands for #and the scar is a reminder of that #a reminder of what he can never be or ever let himself become

The boss of Smile Capital did this to my face. If I had done nothing when a man was dying in front of me, then wouldn't you think I'd be even worse than this guy?

Something Perfect, Something New
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Plot: Geon-Woo and Woojin hit it off with the new server at Geon-Woo's mothers cafe, more than any of them are expecting.
Pairing: Geon-Woo x Gn!Reader x Woojin
Request: reader recently moving to Korea (you don’t have to be specific about where she’s from) and taking on a job as a barista in Gun-woo’s mum’s cafe? (I’d imagine she has bigger aspirations later on but we all need to start somewhere, right?) And while the dude bros pay a visit to Gun-woo’s mum they also meet her and hit it off? This can evolve into something romantic for sure ✨
Requested by: @auraee
Warnings: Mentions of being followed/stalked towards the end, creepy guy. but don't worry Geon-woo and Woojin come to the rescue. References to a Poly-Relationship.
A/n's: I hope you meant for this to elude to a poly relationship because that's what happened! lol I see Geon-Woo's name spelled different all the time so I hope I went with the correct spelling (its geon-woo in show descriptions, and gun-woo in translations, but idk which one it really is) I started writing this a few months ago and just came back to it, so if you notice a change in tone or vibes halfway through that's why.

Tumblr media Tumblr media
You smiled brightly at a couple leaving the cafe as you said goodbye. The evening was drawing near, as was the end of your first week at your new job.
After making the sudden, and quite terrifying decision to leave everything behind and move to Seoul to start over, you landed a job at a cafe.
The owner, Yoo So-Yeon had been gone for a while after her cafe was nearly destroyed by debt collectors. She had told you about how her son and his best-friend helped her, and she finally felt secure enough to come back. Though she didn't give much detail, you could tell the ordeal had a toll on her and her family.
You had heard she needed help after re-opening and were lucky enough to land the job. Now you were settling in and trying to discover yourself all over again.
"Quite a busy day today huh?" Mrs. Yoo said with a smile as she walked past you.
You nodded as you finished cleaning off a table, "Nothing we can't handle though."
She let out a soft laugh as she patted your shoulder. She was fond of you, and you of her. She helped you get settled into the unfamiliar city, and had even cooked for you various times. You were glad you met her.
Hearing the cafe door open you glanced up, wondering if someone missed the 'CLOSED' sign Mrs. Yoo had just put up. Seeing two tall attractive men enter you felt your heart skip a beat.
"Ah, there you two are!" Mrs. Yoo greeted happily as she walked over to the two grinning men.
'That must be her son and his friend.'
You watched them for a minute as they spoke, before the one you assumed was Mrs. Yoo's son, due to the scar on his face she had mentioned, glanced over and caught sight of you.
You felt your heart jolt as you bowed your head lightly in greeting and smiled.
Mrs. Yoo followed Geon-Woo's line of sight and exclaimed with a small clap. "Oh, yes! You finally get to meet!"
Mrs. Yoo walked over to you before grabbing you by the wrist and leading you over to the two men.
"This is Y/n, the one who I hired to help. Y/n, this is my son Geon-Woo and this is Woojin."
You smiled at them, "It's nice to finally meet you."
The two of them bowed in greeting smiling at you. Geon-Woo had known his mother hired you, but hadn't made the trip over to meet you, seeing you now, he wished he had.
His heart was hammering in his chest, and as Woojin subtly nudged his arm, he knew his friend was feeling the same thing.
Now sitting around one of the tables, Mrs. Yoo brought over some coffee. You could feel Woojin and Geon-Woo eyeing you, and every time you looked at them they quickly looked away.
You wondered if they feared you would do Mrs. Yoo harm after all that had happened to her. But this fear of suspicion quickly faded as they started asking you questions and talking energetically, as if they were just curious about you.
Your conversation with the two men lasted almost two hours, and you tried to ignore the sly and amused looks Mrs. Yoo was giving the three of you. You couldn't help but wonder if she might try and set you up with one of them.
Eventually, Mrs. Yoo told you to go home before it got too late. The two men offered to walk you home, and after an attempted refusal that went unheard, you gave in and allowed it.
Your conversation flowed as you walked home, and by the time you got to your door, you felt as though you had known the two for ages.
Tumblr media
Three weeks had passed since your first meeting with Geon-Woo and Woojin. You had become closer to them than you had expected in the short time you knew them. They came to the cafe almost every day, gave you tours of the city, took you out to eat, and even helped you build the new furniture you bought for your apartment.
The seemed to always be around you now, and you weren't complaining one bit, you even started to miss them after being away from them for short periods.
Mrs. Yoo teased you about them being your boyfriends. You thought she just enjoyed the way it made you bashful and embarrassed. You hadn't quite understood just how serious she was yet.
On the outside, it was nearly impossible to tell who you were dating between them, if either, or both.
It was obvious something was developing between the three of you, but what, you weren't quite sure of yet. You were too afraid to focus on the 'what ifs' that you ignored what was already happening.
Woojin sighed as he stretched his arm across your shoulders, smiling at the new bed finally set up in your bedroom.
"See? Told you it would be worth it."
Goo-Wan smiled proudly as he started to open the new sheets you had bought for the bed.
"I still think it's too big." You said while eyeing the large mattress. You were glad to be rid of the air mattress you had been sleeping on, but this was...a bit much.
You missed how Goo-Wan and Woojin locked eyes as they began unraveling the absurdly large fitted sheet that would surely be a pain in the ass to put on.
You giggled at the two as they struggled to put the sheet on, each opposite corner coming undone as soon as they finished one.
When finished, they high fived in celebration before sitting on the end of the bed. As the looked at you with grins you felt you heart flutter before clearing your throat.
"You know I'm gonna make you two come over and do that every time I have to change the sheets right?"
They chuckled, sharing another look before turning towards you.
"How about some lunch?"
They nodded energetically and followed you out of the room. You promised them whatever they wanted for helping you finish setting up your apartment. It was the least you could do.
Watching Geon-Woo strategically time flipping the meat on the barbecue, you slowly sipped at your drink. You were overly aware of the nearby table of girls eyeing the two curiously as they whispered.
You hated that it annoyed you, so you tried your best to ignore it. Its not like you were dating them.
Looking away from the girls, your eyes locked with a mans at a nearby table. You involuntarily made a soft noise of shock at the sudden eye contact as the man smirked and winked at you.
You looked away quickly, but Woojin noticed the action. He looked back at the man before he gave an obvious look of annoyance as the guy continued to stare at you.
Woojin took a piece of meat and set it on top of your rice as he spoke somewhat loudly, "Here jagiya."
Your eyes shot up in surprise, as Geon-Woo quickly looked over at Woojin as well.
Woojin looked over at Geon-Woo before subtly motioning his head to the man nearby. Geon-woo looked back, seeing the man looking between you and Woojin, a somewhat amused smirk on his face before he eyed you knowingly.
Geon-Woo swallowed as his chest tightened with his own annoyance at the man, understanding what Woojin was doing. Geon-Woo, deciding to do the same, grabbed a few veggies as he placed them on your plate.
"Have some of these too jagiya."
Your mouth was now agape as Geo-Woo joined Woojin in his attempt at shooing off the stranger. You saw the girls nearby eye each other in surprise as they began whispering more.
You leaned forward as you spoke in a bewildered tone, "What are you doing?"
Woojin and Geon-Woo locked eyes for a second before they looked back at you, "Making sure that guy doesn't do anything."
You glanced at the man as he now avoided looking over at you. "What makes you think he was going to do anything?"
Woojin scoffed softy, "Oh please he was looking at you like he wanted to eat you."
You grimaced at the expression as you shook your head, making Geon-Woo and Woojin smirk.
Looking over at Geon-Woo you frowned, "Why'd you join in too? Now we're being gossiped about."
You motioned your head towards he girls who were still talking in hushed voices, but obviously about the three of you.
Geon-Woo and Woojin thought for a second before shrugging and speaking at the same time, "So?"
You stared at them bewildered, "It doesn't bother you?"
They shook they're head as Geon-Woo asked in an innocent tone, "Why would it?"
"Yeah, it's not like we're offended at the thought of dating you." Woojin added.
You felt your neck and ears grow hot, "But you made it sound like you were both dating me."
They nodded softly as if that was obvious and you blinked a few times unsure of what to say now. Woojin let out a soft laugh at your perplexed expression.
"Cute." He mumbled, making your ears burn even hotter.
You glared at him, "Don't tease me."
Geon-Woo laughed under his breath as Woojin stared at you with a challenging glare. "Make me."
You stuck your tongue out at him as you began picking at your food in an attempt to get past the almost overwhelming shyness washing over you. Geon-Woo and Woojin shared a knowing smile as they watched you in adoration.
Making it back to the cafe, you entered to find a few customers scattered around, as Mrs. Yoo had a conversation with another from behind the counter. Spotting the three of you, she waved in greeting.
Heading to the back to get your name-tag and apron, you were glad you didn't come to work during a rush, afraid you had left Mrs. Yoo to fend on her own for too long.
Coming back out, Woojin and Geon-Woo were at the counter talking with her. Seeing you she motioned you over and talked in a soft voice as she motioned to a young man in the corner.
"Your admirer is here."
You glanced at the man and let out a soft scoff, "Have you taken his order?"
"He says he wasn't ready yet. I think he was just waiting for you." She winked teasingly as you left with a soft shake of the head before heading over to the table.
Mrs. Yoo looked over at Woojin and Geon-Woo and repressed a laugh at their glare towards the man.
Woojin turned to Mrs. Yoo and spoke in a hushed and annoyed tone. "Admirer? Who is he?"
"A customer who came in once, and ever since he met Y/n has been coming every day since. But he only orders when Y/n is here."
Geon-Woo and Woojin looked back to watch you. You smiled politely at the man as you took his order. Their chests both clenched tightly as the man stared at you intensely with a smile, obviously crushing on you.
Heading back to the counter, you handed Mrs. Yoo the man's order.
"Did he ask you out yet?"
You spared a glance at Geon-Woo and Woojin and were almost thrown off by their intense stares.
You cleared your throat softly, "He asked when I was getting off work but I just told him I'm not sure. I'm not interested in him like that."
Mrs. Yoo nodded her head in understanding as she glanced at the two boys with an amused smile.
You looked over at the two and paused, "What?"
Woojin spoke with a bold tone, "You should tell him straight that you are not interested."
"I don't want to hurt his feelings."
Geon-Woo leaned closer, "He might get bolder though if you don't stop it now."
You bit the inside of your lip as you glanced back at the man, finding him looking away swiftly.
You sighed, "You're probably right."
Woojin nodded, "We are."
You looked back over at them again, noticing the change in their behavior. It was almost as if they were jealous again.
"Weren't you guys going to the gym to practice?"
Checking the time they both startled, "Ah we're gonna be late."
Woojin ruffled your hair as a goodbye as Geon-Woo went behind the counter to say goodbye to his mother before he gently squeezed your shoulder as he left. You waved goodbye to them before catching the man in the corners eye again. Your chest tightened as you felt a bit guilty at the thought of rejecting him when he hasn't even made a move. What if he just wanted a friend?
Getting back to work, you paid more attention to the customer. Noting that he stayed longer than usual, well after he had finished his food. When he eventually left, you let out a sigh of relief, suddenly realizing just how much his attention weighed on you. You hadn't noticed before, but now that you did, you felt a bit overwhelmed by it. Maybe it would be best to show your disinterest.
Tumblr media
Flipping the sign from Open to Closed, you big farewell to Mrs. Yoo as she left, heading out to have dinner with her friends.
You kept the cafe open for longer than usual to let a group celebrate a birthday. But it meant you were now leaving after it got dark.
Checking over the cafe one more time as you shut everything off, you left the cafe and looked around at the darkened sky. Looking down the road, your heart jolted a bit as you noticed a hooded figure lingering on the corner of the road.
Seeing they were standing under a Bus Stop sign you let out a soft sigh. "Don't overreact Y/n."
Turning away, you began heading down the road towards your apartment. It was about a fifteen minute walk, and the night was cool and quiet. You took in a deep breath, picking up on the hint of barbecue nearby, reminding you of how hungry you were.
Walking past a few shops, your eyes caught on the reflection of the road behind you. Yours steps hesitated as your heart sank. The hooded figure from before was across the street from you, and walking the same direction.
You let out a steady breath as you continued walking. "Don't assume, but be cautious." You told yourself, as you kept a vigilant eye and ear out.
Noticing the figure crossing the street and remaining behind you, you decided to test your theory. At the next cross-walk you crossed the street, and your heart raced when the figure did the same. Next you turned down a road you never take, and they followed. You crossed the street again, and so did they.
Having enough, you reached into your pocket and texted your group-chat with Geon-Woo and Woojin.
"Are either of you awake?"
A moment later a text from Geon-Woo came through.
"We're at the gym, what's up?"
"I'm walking home, and I think I'm being followed."
Only a few moments passed before your phone rang. Answering it you heard their concerned voices over the line and the sound of them grabbing their stuff.
"Where are you?" "Are you okay? Why are you out so late."
Already feeling more relieved to be talking to them, you kept glancing at the reflection behind you, still seeing the figure.
"The cafe closed late because of a party. I'm getting close to that store we get our smoothies from."
You heard Geon-Woo's voice in the background, "We're about five minutes from there."
"Go into the store and stay there. Don't let them get near you okay?"
"Okay."
"Stay on the line with me."
As you got closer to the store, you could hear Woojin and Geon-Woo on the line, obviously rushing out of the gym and running. Your heart raced with adrenaline, but also gratitude of Woojin and Geon-Woos care for you. You desperately wanted them there with you now, but took relief in knowing they were coming to find you.
"I'm at the store." You said softly as you entered, sparing a glance back to see the figure was closer than before.
They hesitated as you headed inside. You hoped they wouldn't come in, or would pass by and give up on following you.
As you smiled at the cashier who barely spared you a glance, you headed to the back of the store and acted as tough you were browsing. Hearing the bell of the store as the door opened and closed, your heart dropped as you saw the hooded figure enter the store.
You made sure to keep your distance and you maneuvered through the store, grabbing a few things here and there.
You whispered into the phone, "They came in."
"We're almost there!" You heard a panting Woojin on the line.
You swallowed nervously as you rounded the corner again, the figure getting too close for comfort. Finally hearing the door of the store open with a clang you looked over to see Woojin and Geon-Woo.
You let out a sigh of relief as your body seemed to relax from the building tension in your muscles. As they hurried through the store to you, they glanced at the hooded figure who was only on isle away. The person turned away as Woojin and Geon-Woo approached you.
Woojin spoke out loud, obviously so the person would hear him. "Jagiya there you are. Sorry we're late."
As he got to you he set his hand on your shoulder and nodded. You nodded in return as Geon-Woo reached you, "Are you okay?"
You nodded at him as he gently pulled you to his chest, "Let's go okay?"
Agreeing, you headed to the front, as Geon-Woo took the things from your hand and paid for them, his arm remaining wrapped across your shoulder.
Woojin looked back at the figure and saw his eyes. His face dropped as he was sure it was the customer from the cafe. The figure quickly left the store, avoiding eye contact. Woojin's heart raced in anger as he barely resisted the urge to chase after him. but not wanting to freak you out more, he resisted, knowing he would need to do something later.
Heading back into the street, Geon-Woo and Woojin looked around for any sight of the man. Not seeing him they let out sighs.
Woojin cursed under his breath, "I knew he would do something."
You looked at Woojin in surprise. "He?"
"It was the guy from the cafe."
Your heart jolted, but it made unfortunate sense. A few days prior, you had finally made it clear to the man at the cafe that you were not interested. He asked for your number, and you rejected him. Kindly, you had hoped. But his demeanor changed, and he left silently. You hadn't seen him again since except for once, when you saw him lingering outside the cafe, looking in at you.
"You rejected him but he couldn't take it."
Woojin's words made you shudder and Geon-Woo pulled you closer. "Don't worry we'll handle it okay? I promise." Woojin nodded in agreement.
Their words consoled you as you let them walk you home, allowing them to remind you to never walk home this late without one of them being with you.
The whole way, you continued to glance around, fearing he was still lingering. Geon-Woo and Woojin feared the same, so once they got you to your apartment, they had a conversation while you were in the bathroom.
When you came back out, now in your pajamas, they had made themselves at home on the couch as Woojin ordered food over the phone.
"You're hungry right?" Geon-Woo asked and you nodded, feeling much safer knowing they were there, but fearing when they would leave.
Sitting down on the floor in front of them as you leaned on the table you looked at Geon-Woo. "Should I call the main office and ask the security to look out for him?"
Geon-Woo moved from the couch to the floor in front of you, "We already did."
You nodded, "That makes me feel better. I wont be awake all night."
Geon-Woo smiled softly, "You don't need to worry, we'll be here."
You rose your brow, "You will?"
Woojin hung up the phone and joined the two of you on the floor. "We're staying tonight, we decided."
"O-oh. I mean...that does make me feel better, but are you sure? I don't want to-"
"We want too." Geon-Woo broke in.
Woojin nodded, "We'd feel a lot better staying with you, to make sure you're safe."
You smiled, "I'd feel better too."
After you ate and watched a movie, Woojin and Geon-Woo started to get ready for bed. Meanwhile, you grabbed what extra blankets and pillows you had and began making the living room comfortable.
Geon-Woo, coming out of the bathroom and seeing you, questioned you. "What are you doing?"
"Making it more comfortable for you."
"But we're not sleeping out here."
You stopped and eyed him, "Huh? Then where?"
Hearing a noise in your bedroom, you frowned as Geon-Woo repressed a smile watching as you headed towards the sound. Turning off the lights and checking the door, he grabbed the pillows before following behind.
Finding Woojin in your bedroom, fixing the bed, you watched him in confusion.
He glanced over at you, and spotting Geon-Woo behind you and smiled. "Ah perfect."
Walking over, he took the pillows from him before setting them on the bed.
"What are you doing?"
He looked over at you, "Getting ready for bed?"
"In...my bed?"
He looked at the bed, then to you, then to Geon-Woo and back to you before nodding. "Why do you think we got you such a big mattress?"
Your mouth was agape for a moment as you tried to find words. "S- So you could sleep in the bed with me?"
He nodded as he grinned, finding your realization and bewilderment adorable. Geon-Woo walked past you and finished helping Woojin fix the bed before they both turned towards you expectantly.
You looked between them, before they motioned for you, "Come on."
Hesitantly, you approached, "Which side do you-"
"You get the middle." Woojin broke in.
"The middle?"
"You'll be safest there." Geon-Woo excused.
"And warmest." Woojin added with a smile.
You nodded mutely as you slowly climbed into the bed, your heart racing as they climbed in after. You lied on your back and stared up at the ceiling, overly aware of how close they got to you. Woojin was facing you as Geon-Woo was still sitting up against the back of the bed, looking down at you.
Your mind was still stuck on the fact that they bought you the giant bed for the purpose of sharing. Finally breaking the tense silence, you looked between them. "But you didn't know something like this would happen so why would you be prepared to have a big bed to share with me?"
They shared a glance and smiled before Woojin cleared his throat, "Are you sure you don't know why?"
Your mind flashed back to the various times they flirted, made jokes, or acted as though they were both dating you. The various comments from Mrs. Yoo about them being your boyfriends, or you being like a child to her already.
Looking between Woojin and Geon-Woo again as they smiled softly and knowingly at you, you felt your whole body get hot with embarrassment and nervousness.
Grabbing the blanket you slowly pulled it upwards until your face was hidden.
Woojin and Geon-Woo both chuckled before they climbed further into the bed. You felt them both beside you, and were sure they were facing you.
Feeling Woojin grab the blanket you tightened your grip as he tried to remove it from your head. You heard Geon-Woo chuckle softly as Woojin pulled harder.
"Jagiya" He said softly, making your heart leap.
Suddenly the blanket was yanked from your hands again and you were met with Woojin and Geon-Woo's smiling faces as they lied facing you, sandwiching you between them.
"You don't have to be scared, or worried." Geon-Woo began.
Woojin followed, "We're still figuring this out too. We never expected to meet someone we would both have such strong feelings for."
Geon-Woo reached over and gently caressed your cheek, "We want to be with you, and protect you, and make you happy. If you'll let us."
"It might take some time to get used to the idea, but we'll wait for you." Woojin finished.
You looked between them, your heart racing faster than ever before. "But what if it doesn't work out? Or what if it causes problem's between you?"
They looked at each other and shook their heads gently. Woojin met your eyes, "We've been talking about this for a while, and I really don't think that will happen. But if it starts too I promise we will work it out. We want to make this work. We want to be with you. So we'll go slowly from here okay? But we want you to know our intentions."
"Is that okay with you?" Geon-Woo asked softly.
You thought for a moment, aware of their gazes on you as they waited patiently, though nervously.
It was obvious you had developed feelings for both of them, and your fear of choosing, or being rejected had both been subdued. You weren't sure if it was going to work out. But you knew how you felt now. You adored them, and trusted them, and felt safe with them. You believed their words, and you wanted to be with them too.
Nodding slowly, you looked between them, and they smiled, relief and joy washing over them.
Woojin, overcome by his giddiness leaned forward and pressed a sloppy kiss to your cheek, making you chuckle out of surprise. Geon-Woo chuckled as well, before he leaned forward and pressed a much more delicate kiss to your temple.
After a few more adjustments, you found yourself comfortably and safely drifting to sleep as Woojin and Geon-Woo slept on either side of you, their arms draped across you as they both held you close.
xx End xx
Wasn't sure where to end it, so I chose to stop here. This became a bit of an indulgence fic, but if there is anyone who wants a part two, or continuance of this fic/relationship, let me know, I would def be willing to write it!

"Woojin-ah! Have you seen my jacket?" You call out, head buried deep into your side of the closet.
Gunwoo pops his head in through the doorway instead, "Hm? Oh, I put it in the wash."
"In the wash?" You lean back out with a frown.
"Did you say my name!?"
"Don't mind! Gunwoo, I'm doing a stock run for the cafe. Your mum needs me to go, and it'll be cold," You draw out a whine after calling back to your other boyfriend's distant voice. He's probably splayed out on the living room couch.
Gunwoo's big eyes flicker, his face suddenly downtrodden and you quickly backtrack.
"It's fine. It should only be quick anyway, I'll be inside for the rest of the day."
"I'm sorry," Gunwoo's thick lips form into a big fat pout, his voice apologetically soft and you want to bite him, "you can use one of mine, or Woojin hyung's. If you want."
He shucks off the dark puffy jacket that he's wearing and quickly offers it to you.
Habitually, you open your mouth to decline before hearing the wind whistling through the miniscule gaps in the window. You glance outside. It even looks cold.
"Mm, you're running deliveries today, aren't you?" Your brows pinch in concern, gently pushing outstretched jacket back to his chest.
Gunwoo shakes his head profusely, using both his hands to reinstate his now no-returns offer.
"We're doing some training first. Then we'll start on the deliveries," he assures you, tone much more firm on the fact that the topic regards your wellbeing, "I'll be warmed up before then. And I can pick up the jacket in between runs." He adds onto the end quickly, subtly coercing you to accept his choice.
You take in a breath, assessing him silently.
Gunwoo's sized up, back straight and broad shoulders no longer sagging, as to appear more self assured and resolute. His big puppy eyes once slightly glossed over from your chiding now hardened with a quiet resolve.
You huff through your nose, accepting the oversized puffy jacket with a hidden smile, "...Alright. Thank you, Woo-ah."
You can barely stifle the giddy butterflies you feel when he smiles at you.
Later that day, Woojin gives you the fright of your life while you're on your way back to the cafe.
You scream when a familiar himbo comes barrelling at you from around the corner of the street, tackling you in a semi-sweaty hug.
"JAGIYAAA!"
"Woojin-ah!" You shriek, bracing your arms over your head as the impact with his torso sends you flying. The only thing stopping you from hitting the ground is his eager embrace that quickly follows, catching you and tethering you to him in a tight hug.
"Are you crazy!?"
"Aish~ I missed you," he nuzzles into you obnoxiously, ignorant to any passersby that send you strange looks.
"Yuck!" You can't help but laugh as his nose tickles you behind your ear. You can feel the perspiration glossing the skin of his neck and you grimace, pushing him away with a grin.
"I saw you this morning," you reason when he looks at you, offended.
His brows furrow, "Barely. And it's not the same."
You roll your eyes at him, though you suppose it is thrilling to bump into each other on pure coincidence.
"Did you finish a delivery?"
Woojin nods, "Mm. I'm on my way to the cafe. Gunwoo's going too. We were arguing which street was quicker, but then I saw you."
"Well, then he's definitely winning."
"..."
You laugh when his face drops.

Steam disperses from the bathroom doorway, condensation dripping down the glass of the shower while the mirror over the sink slowly dipleats itself of the fog lining it.
You sit on the bed clad in one of your boyfriends' shirts and a pair of panties, planning on applying your body lotion after drying your hair. With the tub of cream sat beside you, you eye your faint reflection in the window pane, ruffling your towel through your locks.
Your impatience results in the rough fabric lashing against your cheek, and you wince, blinking off the abrupt contact.
A tinge of frustration nips at you before you take in a deep breath to calm you down. It's been a long day, and your little spa routine was a way of helping you unwind.
The day's toll must've been a lot worse than you thought.
You let the towel fall from your head and onto your lap, staring at it blankly. You can feel a flurry of emotions toiling within you, but you don't have the energy to process them fully.
In no time, small unshed tears begin to glisten your lower lash line and you scrunch your nose. Why are you almost crying?
It's not like you haven't had bad days before--and you've definitely had worse.
"Jagi..?"
You don't even hear Gunwoo approach, still staring at your lap tiredly. Gunwoo's brows furrow, and he leans down slightly to peer at you in concern. A small gasp escapes him at the sight of your glossy eyes and wrinkled nose, and he sits himself down beside you.
He parts his lips to say something before thinking better of it, he watches you for a moment longer, thinking to himself quietly before gently prying the towel from your weak hands.
"Here, jagi. Let me do this for you." His voice is tender, patient and coaxing as he shifts his torso to face your back, and he starts to dry your hair for you.
The only response he garners is a soft sigh while you lean your head back at his careful touch. Your quiet acceptance has him smiling gratefully.
He's a little clumsy with his large hands, but he's mindful of his strength, and gets the job done.
Eventually, Woojin wanders into the room from the kitchen after wondering where his two partners disappeared to.
"Hey, do we want--" he stops short when Gunwoo whips around and shakes his head at him. Woojin narrows his eyes at him, and the younger motions his eyes towards you, and then he understands.
"--A-Ah... okay," he's quiet, taking a few more steps inside the room until he's stood in front of you. He crouches down, hands seeking purchase on your knees and he tilts his head to meet your vacant gaze.
He murmurs your name softly in a song like tune, "How are you feeling, hm?"
Gunwoo's activity ceases as he waits for you to speak.
You match his eyes with a little bit more life in them, feeling more soothed than frustrated now.
"Tired.."
"Yeah?" Woojin spies the tub of lotion by your thigh and nods towards it, "can I do that for you?"
Your eyes flutter in a soft blink, and he waits patiently. You look at the body lotion and then slowly draw your gaze back to your lap again. A sudden embarrassed heat crawls up your neck at the state of you: hair damp and body hunched, braless in an oversized shirt that hides your underwear from view with your naked legs on display.
"A-Ah..." you hesitate, lips parted unsurely. Suddenly bashful, you look over your shoulder at Gunwoo who blinks and gives you a light, unassuming smile.
You look back at Woojin, who's gaze never left your deliberating form. He rubs his thumb across your left knee comfortingly, eyes kind.
A soft breath escapes you, and you feel oddly reassured by them. Despite the mild fluster you feel at the intimacy of their attention, you nod and give and affirming hum.
He doesn't take that though. He wants to hear you.
With a gentle squeeze on your soft thigh, Woojin purses his lips and looks at you expectantly, though the upward twitch of his lips indicates his playfulness.
You whine, diverting your gaze shyly as you lean back against Gunwoo who chuckles at you. You look up at him for help, but scoff quietly in receiving none, and so you speak.
"Okay..."
Woojin beams, all crescent eyed and white teeth, "Thank you, jagiya~"
He reaches for the tub, unscrewing the lid and scooping up an appropriate amount for application--he's watched you do this a good few times now after all.
After lathering his hands, he starts with your right leg. Shifting so he's bent on one knee, he prompts you to lean your weight against Gunwoo while he rests your foot against his knee, big hands massaging the lotion into your skin.
Although his touch is innocent, you can't help but squirm nervously when his palms stroke up your thigh, and he grins.
He handles you firmly, placing pressure on all the right places that have you sighing in relief. Gunwoo starts playing with strands of your hair, even leaning down to place a lingering kiss on the shell of your ear.
"Feel better..?" He lets out a happy hum when you nod lazily.
Woojin finishes by lightly tickling the sole of your foot, grinning when you squeal and try to jerk away. He relents, letting out tug it out of his grasp before he taps your other leg, giving it the same treatment.
All too soon is it over, and Woojin places a teasing kiss on your shin with a squeeze to your thigh when you pout. You cringe at the tingling sensation it causes, slapping his hand away while he laughs at you.
The rest of your hair would be fine to air dry now, so when you flick the end of the towel away from you Gunwoo takes it, blowing against your neck playfully before he moves to put the towel away.
You can't help but watch after him endearingly. To be loved is to be known, and both Gunwoo and Woojin have done more than you could've ever asked for, and that's not just on accounts of that night.
They always taken care of you, always looking out for you: by walking you to and from places, to treating you out, checking in on you during times when you're separated, spoiling you whenever they can for no reason other than just because--they've done it all.
And you couldn't be anymore grateful.
The slightly open window allows a sharp evening breeze to graze across your bare skin, and you shiver.
Woojin perks up, "Ah, are you cold?"
Having heard from the bathroom, Gunwoo comes back, immediately rifling threw the dresser drawers while you answer the other with a nod.
Spying the goosebumps across your legs, Woojin runs a warm palm over them twice before feeling a breeze on the back of his head, and he clocks on.
"My turn!"
With the older standing up and closing the window, Gunwoo quickly slams the drawers shut and steals his spot in front of you.
You sit up, startled at the sudden movement, giggling when Woojin whirls around at the claim with an offended guffaw.
Gunwoo kneels in front of you this time, a pair of rolled up fuzzy socks in his hand while he tugs you closer to him. You laugh as you're pulled across the bed covers, the comforter bunching up messily.
Gunwoo's eyes crinkle at the sound of your laughter, and he unfurls the socks before slipping them over your feet. It goes about halfway up your shins, keeping your toes nice and warm and you hum contently.
Like Woojin did earlier, he runs his big hands over the rest of your exposed skin, smoothing down your cold caused bumps with his natural warmth. He tugs down your shirt so it covers your lower half a bit more modestly, though you notice he can't help but sneak in a quick squeeze on your hip.
His ears are a bit red, otherwise he smiles at you unaffectedly.
"Yah," Woojin claps him on the shoulder chidingly, though his tone is light hearted, "no fair. I saw that, you sneak."
"Hyung..." Gunwoo whines.
You can't help but grin at them, heart swelling with an incogitable fondness for your two big puppies. Any prior distress thoroughly dispelled thanks to the loving care of your two partners.
And you couldn't ask for more.

3rd episode reaction
when the bros (gun-woo and woo-jin) argue.. i just.. AH but then they hug and celebrate. i still feel iffy about woo-jin and his character, maybe he will betray someone in the future. he's a bit of a wildcard
gun-woo is right. does she want to do her plan perfectly, meaning someone innocent could die? is she willing to sacrifice that?
(evil) boss man's friend group is not just unhinged, but ripped off the door and the hinges have exploded. its funny the way they mock and belittle each other though.
juju is grumpy cat.
myeong-gil and his friends DO NOT play around omg. antifreeze in the mouth.
i have a theory that nice boss man cut myeong-gil (i was correct)
quite literally a stab in the back
side note. when it comes to disabilites and mutilation in entertainment, typically it is depicted as revenge, being forsaken, being the villian (like Scar from the Lion King). wanted to mention that in the instance of a walking disability and the face scar is an oversaturated form of disability representation. if it can be called representation.
another side note. i read a fiction book that detailed life in Korea from the 1920s to the 1960s. i feel like i have more insight into a kdrama where the older characters are slightly based into said time period. emphasis on slightly though.
god damn the violence
im screaming. his tailbone, his spine, obliterated.
we get to see the Beginning of Beom as we Know
the lighting in the office with the rain. the rain coming in from the broken window. i enjoy these details. i eat them like little snacks.
beom i believe this man will betray youuuuuuuuuuuuuu
dont tell grandpa abt the subway brawl whattt
