Thank you, everybody.  <3  I really appreciate all your support.  I’m actually glad that Violet was able to go peacefully at home with her flock instead of stressed out at the vet.  Oliver and Phin are confused (what else is new) but are resilient and have already started squabbling over who gets to flirt with Spencer, who is very happy to be the center of attention.  I am taking Violet in this afternoon to be cremated.  Thank you to everyone who watched her grow up and was here for her journey.  <3

do you have a certain place at home for reading?

usually the guest room area. it’s a really quiet part of the house and the room gets a lot of natural light so my eyes don’t strain to do the thing cos my eyes don’t McFucking work

do you use bookmarks? if so, what kind?

usually whatever works. i’ve used actual bookmarks, parking garage tickets, hockey tickets (bc Keith has gone to sporting events? whattt??). sometimes i use the dust cover

can you just stop reading or do you have to make it to the end of the chapter?

usually i’ll try to get to the end of the chapter, but if i really start to lose focus I’ll get to the end of a page. 

do you eat or drink while reading?

The most I’ve ever done is coffee, but I avoid it bc i don’t wanna risk my clumsy ass damaging the book somehow.

music or tv while reading?

I can read with some mild noise in the background, but i could never do music or tv

one book at a time or several at once?

I’d say one book at a time, but if I’m honest, I’ve got like 6 or 7 books that i started AGES ago and never finished sifghslfkg

reading at home or out?

both! usually i read at home bc quarantine but I managed to get out and found myself reading on the beach on one of the islands near where i live. 

reading silently or out loud?

Silently, but if I can’t absorb what just happened, i’ll read the same paragraph like 3 times out loud if needed

do you read ahead, skip pages?

usually if i somehow spoil something for myself, i’ll skim ahead a smidge to ease my anxiety.

mayyybe i’ll dogear a page, but not since ap lit...... never again.

Anywhere I can dramatically drape myself, but the best is the red couch in our sitting room.

I usually dog ear unless I have a bookmark handy. Then it’s usually string ones.

I can just stop reading...

Sometimes, usually I can’t do both at the same time I’m not that cool.

My brain could NOT handle that.

Yeah, looks sometimes you know that BS is about to happen or unnecessary exposition and ya boi just turns the page.
