Wyn

1. What was the original thought that led to the creation of this character?

I couldn't tell you for sure! I just woke up one morning and the concept of a noble grave cleric that had tried and failed to resurrect someone dear to them - who then became a champion of the dead and the dying as a monument to that failure - would not leave me alone.

I think I was aware that I wanted to play one partially because I had seen Caduceus Clay of Critical Role fame in action and thought the playstyle of a grave cleric rocked - and there were DEFINITELY influences from The Locked Tomb and the Gentleman Bastards death god of Aza Guilla - but at the time, it felt like it kind of came out of nowhere.

And then I stumbled across the adopt that would eventually become her design, and it fit PERFECTLY with the aesthetic I had in mind, and within the week I had Wyn. :>

5. How did you choose their name and why? Was it simply based on vibes or is there any specific meaning behind the name? Are the reasons behind their name different in- and out of universe?

Here's a fun fact about me: I can't name a character something that does not invite the chance for a shorter nickname. So when I came up with Wyn's name, it was mostly because I thought the name "Elowyn" was elegant and noble-sounding, and it meant that I could shorten it to Wyn. SIMPLE VIBES.

I did just look it up though, and apparently the name Elowyn is in reference to elm trees, and Wyn does have a crazy connection to the big creepy black tree in Barovia, SO. MAYBE IT WAS ON PURPOSE, ACTUALLY.

13. Do you have a voice claim for the character? What do you imagine the character sounds like?

19. What is your general favourite thing about the character? What is your least favourite?

My favorite thing about Wyn is that I find her very easy to play. She's got a sadness about her that I feel like I can really connect with, but she's not so dour that she doesn't like a good bit when one comes along. I find it very easy to ride the line between her introspective tragedy and her wry, mischievous humor, because I think it touches my two extremes in a way that I find really harmonizing. Wyn feels like the sort of person that can be both of the things that I want to be, and she marries them in a way that doesn't feel jarring.

My least favorite thing about her is that her recent experiences have made her incredibly conflict-avoidant, and sometimes I wish she would just say, "Actually, fuck you!" and Inflict Wounds the damn thing!

Nellie

1. What was the original thought that led to the creation of this character?

I can't say exactly what it is because my fellow players follow me, but I will say one thing: it has to do with a particular spell, and the VERY loose rules around said spell. I wanted to push those rules to an extreme and see exactly how someone would cope with the fallout of that.

Also, I wanted a gnome!

5. How did you choose their name and why? Was it simply based on vibes or is there any specific meaning behind the name? Are the reasons behind their name different in- and out of universe?

Another vibes-based name. I always like to give my gnomes names that they will shorten or nickname-over, and I thought "Patronella" had exactly the level of kind-of-awful that I wanted for a gnomish woman who I knew was going to insist on a nickname early in life. "Nellie" also provides a sense of girlishness that imparts the exactly right level of "definitely went to boarding school" that I wanted for her. Callowmire was just the first thing I came up with after I realized that her original last name (Tritchet) had gotten stolen for my FFXIV character. WHOOPS.

13. Do you have a voice claim for the character? What do you imagine the character sounds like?

If you bring Nicola Coughlan's voice down like...A LITTLE in octave, that's very close. Nellie's voice is still higher than mine usually because I play her a little more nasal overall, but she's still got a bit more alto in her than, say, Fizz. Which is a LOW bar, obviously, but it's worth mentioning since I have a tendency to put Gnome Voices in the same place in my mouth LMAO.

19. What is your general favourite thing about the character? What is your least favourite?

I looooooove that Nellie is so competent! I love that she's got this self-assuredness that doesn't fall down into overconfidence. She's willing to admit that she's not good at some things, but the things that she IS good at receive her full and complete conviction that she'll get it right. Even Val, my high-level paladin who has put down every nasty creature that has ever been put in front of her and who has yet to find a problem that she can't wrench her way out of, doesn't think of herself as capable of anything special. Nellie knows what she can handle and she HANDLES IT, and I love having a character like that. ESPECIALLY considering backstory stuff!

My least favorite thing is that I have to be so goddamn cagey about her backstory stuff because SHE'S cagey about her backstory stuff. I am SUFFERING.

LABELED a tomboy since she could remember , gianna spent all of her free time outside , collecting grass stains rather than dolls. finding an equal balance between rugby and soccer , while also maintaining good grades and a healthy social life was her biggest concern. such trivial issues in comparison to what was to come.

THEIR dad passed away when gianna was just shy of her 13th birthday , the first tragedy experienced. after suffering a heart attack, he fell into a coma that he unfortunately would not recover from. losing the patriarch of the house was difficult , and matteo felt obligated to fill the role , which put a strain on gianna's relationship with their eldest brother.

GIANNA was 15 when all hell broke loose in the surrounding neighborhood. chilling screams filled the dead of night , people were running through the streets , homes and vehicles up in flames. that night felt like a fever dream , she can barely remember how their family managed to escape , but she'll never forget the carnage left behind.

HER youngest brother was the first family member lost , their mom soon following. a complete stranger lunged at them , teeth seeking flesh and dani's arm getting caught in the crossfire. when he eventually succumbed to the virus , their mom was too heartbroken and hysterical to let him go , thus resulting in her own demise.

SEEKING out refuge , the remaining aguilar siblings travelled south , attracted to the promise of shelter and protection from the military in the cities like many others. for several years , it was comforting to find unity with other survivors and lead as normal a life as they were permitted. but all that glitters is not gold.

TO this day , gianna isn't sure if it was an act of rebellion against their eldest brother's constant hovering or if javier had just finally cracked under the pressure of the harsh , new reality. but he did something risky and stupid , repeatedly , until he got caught and was turned into an example , costing his life in exchange. matteo and gianna made their escape the following night , putting as much distance as they could between themselves and any military-controlled faction.

SO she got stuck with the bro she couldn't see eye to eye with , classic. they argued lots , and blamed anything they could on each other ( gigi might've pulled a real low blow at some point by blaming javier's death on matteo oop ). they were so busy being angry with each other that they got cornered by a few clickers. ultimately, matteo got torn to shreddies just before somebody / somebodies from novac swooped in to save gianna , bringing her back to town.

fast forward a whole year , gigi has established pretty decent rapport within their little community. definitely earns their keep by helping wherever they can , the main role obviously being work as a farmer. was pretty closed off and guarded on arrival , but she's opened up a lot and is lowkey a huge softie for her people.

Bea it’s so careful with everything, she’s just to perfect (as Ava says in some point 😩) while Ava is just “fuck it” so the fact that Bea actually does taste Ava’s patience knowing her impatiency, it’s the best 😂

Una de las cosas que más me encantan de las dos es lo idiotas que llegan a ser juntas, like 2 lil girls playing around sin sentir miedo de mostrarse a si misma frente la otra, lo despacio que van desarrollando su amor, no tan rápido, pero tampoco tan lento, todo a su tiempo… llegados al punto de que si, ya eran una pareja sin título.

Los celos de las dos me matan 💀 Ava is sooo disgust cuando ve a Bea interactuando con mujeres que no conoce 💀💀💀💀 mientras que Bea, si, primero se muestra defeated cuz she thought “I dont have no chance for this amazing woman to fall for me” y luego boom, cambió a “Bitch pls, she my girl, so get the fuck away from her bf I kick ur pathetic ass 💀”

Aunque Bea si estaba asustada de mostrar sus sentimientos, aún así trató de mostrarse y vivirlos, hasta que sintió que eso lastimaría incluso a Ava (she was wrong) por otra parte, Ava simplemente siempre fue ella misma, que luego se soltara aún más porque le gustara? Si y es bonito el cómo siempre la incluye. Al final, simplemente buscan la manera de estar con la otra, a fin de cuentas, es todo lo que quieren

First Kiss (Luca x reader Preference)

Luca:

Ages: Both 17

"So this is your hometown," you said as you and Luca sat on the beach. It was vacation and he had invited you to join him.

"Sorta," Luca shrugged. "This is the human town closet to my home."

"Cool," you said, turning to look at the stars. "Let's play a game." Luca looked at you curiously. "You go into the water and I'll try and find you," you explained, getting up and approaching a beached rowboat.

"That doesn't sound fair," Luca said as you pushed the boat into the water. "I'm a sea monster and it's dark."

"Don't underestimate me Seaweed Head," you smirked, hopping into the boat.

"Are you sure?" Luca asked, pushing the boat further into the water.

"I'm positive, cutie," you teased, leaning on the railing of the boat. Luca blushed at the nickname before diving under the water. You chuckled before leaning back and beginning to row farther into the ocean.

(Grammar *awkward thumbs up*)

After about a good 10 minutes of searching, you still couldn't find Luca. "Fine Luca!" you called into the water. "I give up! You win!" It was silent for a few seconds. "Luca?" you tried again. Nothing. "Luca!" You leaned over the rail, looking into the dark water.

"I win!" Luca said, bursting out of the water in front of you. You screamed and fell back

"Jesus! Luca, don't do that," you exclaimed, clutching your chest.

"I'm sorry," Luca said, though a faint smile was still on his face. "But I did win! Does that mean I get a prize?"

"We never said anything about prizes," you defended.

"Just a small one please," Luca continued, climbing into the boat with you.

"Depends on what it is," you said, pulling your legs into a criss-cross position.

"W-well," Luca began, sitting in front of you on his knees. "I wanted to- I was wondering if I could-" He began messing with his hands, twisting the ends of his shirt. "Silenco Bruno," he mumbled to himself. "Can I kiss you?" His head snapped up, staring at you with a red face.

You were silent for a second, surprised at his boldness. "Yea-yeah," you said. "Yeah, of course."

"Oh... okay," Luca grinned. He leaned forward, not knowing what exactly to do. You smiled at the fishboy's timidness. You leaned forward, gripping his face in your hands gently. You pressed your lips against his in a quick peck. It was short- but enough to make Luca's heart flutter. "Again?" he asked shyly as you pulled away.

Alberto:

Ages: Your 16 and he's 15

"Are you gay?" you asked, relaxing on the boat you and Alberto sat in.

"I- what?" Alberto exclaimed, dropping the net he hung over the boat in shock. See, Alberto had to go fishing for Julia's dad, and you decided you wanted to go with him- not to fish but to annoy the hell out of him. Like any good girlfriend.

"I mean, you did seem pretty friendly with Luca when you first met," you shrugged, playing with the necklace Luca had given you before he left for Julia's school.

"Because he's my friend?" Alberto scoffed. "Also, you are I are literally dating!"

"I know," you stated, not looking at him. "I was just wondering if that's why you never kissed me."

Alberto was silent. "No I'm not gay!"

"Are you bi?"

"Possibly! But that's not the point," Alberto continued.

"So you won't kiss me because you don't have the balls?" you teased.

"I have plenty of balls!" Alberto defended. "Baseballs, basketballs, footballs."

"Not those kind of balls," you said, laughing to yourself. "It means your not brave enough."

"I'm plenty brave!" Alberto exclaimed, looking at you with furrowed brows. "Why haven't you kissed me? Is it because you have none of those bravery balls?"

You held back a laugh. "I'm brave," you defended. "I just... haven't wanted to kiss you yet."

"Then why are you complaining about it?" Alberto scoffed, glaring at the net that had sunk to the bottom of the ocean, due to you scaring him.

You felt yourself flush in embarrassment at his words, looking away. "I- whatever," you grumbled.

You felt Alberto's gaze on you. "I'm sorry," he said. "I didn't mean to be... rude." You stayed silent, still slightly embarrassed, but Alberto took it as anger. You felt him kneel in front of you, grabbing your chin between his thumb and index finger. He pulled your face to look at him before pressing his lips against yours. Your eyes widened in surprise before, leaning closer, your eyes fluttering shut. "Happy?" he ask quietly, still holding your chin. You nodded gently. "Good," he stated, walked to the edge of the boat. "I've got balls of steel," he mumbled, before he dove into the water.

Julia:

Ages: Both 14

"Y/N?" Julia said, making you look up from your- well, her book.

"Yeah?" you asked, smiling kindly at the red-head you'd known for years.

"Have you ever... kissed someone?" Julia asked, twiddling her thumbs and sitting up.

"No," you stated. "There's no one worth kissing here."

"No one?" Julia repeated.

"Well, there's you," you shrugged, looking back at the book. You peaked over it to see Julia blushing.

"Do you wanna try?" she asked shyly.

"Me and you?" you asked, flushing at the thought.

"Y-yeah," Julia stated, pulling on her curly hair.

"Sure," you said, putting down the book. You got off her bed and walked towards her. You knelt down and kissed her lips gently. "Nice," you hummed before getting on the bed once more and reading the book, not noticing Julia's red face.
