i kept seeing a lot of cool-looking art by @inspiderwiht around other gw2 blogs, and i was possessed by a feral need to get a portrait of my beloved mesmer boy, adrian marlowe.

some fun facts about him: he's a noble bastard (both literally and figuratively), he's a member of the mesmer collective, and he's been in a weird situationship with his best friend for about seven years.

Drawtober Week 2: Shapeshifter

Reaper Shroud counts as shapeshifting, yes?

The original idea had the back half of him more in shadow, blending in with the scythe - to suggest he's in "mid-transformation." He became a bit more lit so I could see what I was doing.

If I end up finishing this one, I'd probably add that back in toward the end.

Today is a special day for me, so I want to share a painting that I am still very proud of: my Necromancer! I've been part of the Guild Wars franchise since 2006, and she has been by my side ever since!

This crop is from my contribution to the 2024 Profession Calendar @CalendarKrewe . It was a rare chance to go all out on a personal piece. I wanted to showcase the necromancer minions, with the golem serving as a callback to GW1, and my favorite new addition: the jackal mount.
