I fear this 2016 has been so harsh, like a mass extinction of the heart. To lose my Stronghearted girly throwback with the hind dewclaws hanging down after losing King Pookah and Josephine the Chinchilla Queen, and so many other precious souls makes me long for a lift over that rainbow and I am already so close to it. My body can't handle anymore loss, my emotions have crippled me and I think all those many lesions up and down my spinal cord and brain are all just scars from events like losing my soulmates. Add on ordinary stress plus extraordinary stress, and it is near lethal. In talking to Jessie's vet, I'm supposed to think she was pretty old at 11. And yes for a dog with only 40% of her intestines for 8 of those years is probably a miracle (she had separation anxiety when I was having surgery and ate part of her Kong biscuit ball). But we have Graham, Ashley, and more who are as old. Jessie's Uncle Mackie is a 14 yr old collie mix. Jessie's brother is also fine. So I want my Jessie back and I'm losing my will to live and keep fighting to try and get people to wake up and smell the sentience, to evolve and care about animals as well as about hoomins in need.
