My tomato seedlings are growing nicely🙂 Tomatoes are easy to grow from seed sown indoors in warm conditions, but when tomato seeds are sown too early, they will often become tall and spindly!!! To have good success. Sow your tomato seeds approximately 6-8 weeks before the final frost of the winter, or earlier if you're growing your tomatoes in a greenhouse👨‍🌾

Oh my goodness, these Blue Cream Berries cherry tomatoes from @bakercreekseeds are incredible! I am in love! So far they are the star of the show and they know it! ~ So apparently they are supposed to be a golden color when ripe, but I, having forgotten that, was letting them ripen until they were reddish. When I realized my error, I immediately went out and gathered them all, red and golden alike. ~ And then I got to eat them. Oh. My. Goodness! The flavor! It's like sweet, salty and dreamy! I'm in love! And you know what? Despite the reddish ones being cracked from overripening, they were the most delicious ones if you ask me. ~ And I love, love, love how they grow their own stars like the stars that they are. What’s Trichoderma Harzianum ?

Trichoderma harzianum fungi that are present in nearly all soils. It readily colonizes plant roots and rhizosphere competent able to grow on roots as they develop.

Trichoderma has quicker growth rate, and highly adaptation in bad soil condition. It is usually used for foliar application, seed treatment and soil treatment for suppression of various disease causing fungal pathogens.

Trichoderma harzianum plays an important role in soil micro-environment, diseases control &root system growth.

Based on these characteristics, we divided functions into three parts:

For soil condition

Outstanding soil adaptability in soil, control soil borne pathogenes and help soil build a stable granular structure, which is porous & full of nutrition. Preserve moisture and fertility.

Alleviating soil secondary-salinization, and acidification. Reduce heavy metals & organic pollutants.

For diseases control

Trichoderma harzianum can eliminate damaging fungal pathogens, such as Phytophthora, Rhizoctonia, Pythium, Fusarium. It will form a nature defensive bond to “Guard” your crop’s roots.

For root growth

Trichoderma harzianum promotes root growth in three main ways:

1. Kills the fungus which causes root rot. 2. Reduces the physical stress on the crop and makes it grow better. 3. Secrete organic acids and natural growth hormones to promote the growth of crop roots system.

Several research shows that trichoderma harzianum is one of the most effective microbes to colonise the roots.

It often used as an inoculant for crop production, and to improve the root growth and acclimatisation phases in plant nurseries.

“A garden speaks for itself” If you’ve been around here on our page a few years (or just scrolled back, then you have seen our gardens tell their story. Bushel baskets roll in by the day and the garden gets put up all summer long. “How do you not have horn worms?” “How do you get so many tomatoes?” “Wait you don’t have aphids?” “Do you have any garden pests at all?” We don’t have garden pests, weeds, or soil disease problems because we take steps all year to prevent that. * Pro Tip: Don’t ever compost your spent plants, no matter what instagram tells you* We give our tomatoes drought resistance and a strong start by planting them 2/3 the height of the stem deep. I know you gasped when you saw the pinch of tobacco added to the planting hole because instagram and google probably told you not to do that. Can well over 100 years experience convince you otherwise?? Tobacco is a nitrogen provider as well as a pest repellent. Not handfuls. Just a pinch to boost off the plant. Everyone preaches about suckers but no one seems to know the old way of pruning tomatoes involves much more. We aren’t growing bushes folks, we’re growing tomatoes. If you aren’t familiar check in with our OG followers whose yields doubled after learning that trimming suckers is cute but pruning other branches makes more fruit. Feeding & interplanting herbs- Dill attracts hornworms. Plant it in your tomato rows and you’re drawing the hornworms into your rows. We don’t have hornworms (not even on our dill) because we take other natural measures across the year to prevent all garden pests but we want you to know as a new gardener what Dill actually does. Weird year for my #tomato plants. The #tidytreats heave been bountiful but the plant looks like it's about dead. The #celebrity tomatoes.seem to be doing good, but nothing ripe yet. The #BlackCherry tomato does have a few flowers despite being ravaged by deer early on. The #grapetomato out back repeatedly gets eaten like it's a neighborhood buffet. Following on from today’s announcement 😁🌸 I wanted to post about my work/till counter area in the shop (this isn’t the best photo as still not 100% finished but I’ll post a better photo soon) which I’ve been working on over the last few weeks. I share this lovely building with my mum @_weddingdelights_ , my shop is at the front and the only sink used to be in the very back of the building which is 72ft long, so if you can imagine carrying heavy buckets of water has been the pain of my life for years BUT recently I got sink fitted in my room so no more having to walk back and forth with heavy buckets which is just gonna make my life so much easier and for watering plants which I’m so excited to have in the shop again. Gardening is one of my main hobbies and I love to grow from seed, I’ll be selling plants which I’ve started from seed myself this year and I’m super excited, of course buying from local plant nurseries too 🌱 Little gardening tip for this time of the year, if you want to give growing your own ago, sow your tomato seeds now to get them going early. Keep them inside on a windowsill and until the chance of frost is gone (beginning-ish of May) you can pop them outside.
