Weird weapons in games.
youtube
Red faction: Armageddon - Mr Toots
Mr Toots is a unicorn which you hold who fires rainbow lasers. I think this is funny because its really random and contrasting to the game's themes.
youtube
The Dubstep Gun - Saints row 4
the dubstep gun fires out pulses of energy to the beat of an electronic song. I really like the idea of having weapons which are instruments.
youtube
Groovitron - Ratchet and crank
The groovitron lets the player throw a disco ball which makes enemies dance. This is cool because it lets you distract the enemy and they stop attacking you for the time they are dancing.
youtube
Mutated milk - Team Fortress 2
Mutated milk is a weapon which is a jar of milk with a bread monster inside. When it is thrown at an enemy, the bread monster latches onto the enemies face for 10 seconds. I think this is a very weird and random item to have as a weapon in the game but it fits with how silly some of the other weapons are.
youtube
Cluckshot- Gears of war 3
The cluckshot is a easter egg gun in gears of war 3 which externally looks the same as the grenade launcher but launches chickens instead. I think this is cool because its a secret and really silly compared to the rest of the game which is violent and serious.
youtube
Hand cannon - dead space 2
The hand cannon does not require ammunition and has a high rate of fire, as fast as the player can pull the trigger.
youtube
super sheep - worms W M D
The super sheep is a sheep that acts as a guided missile. I like this because it really fits in with the game while still being funny.

Strange weapons in games
Mr. Toots - Red Faction : Armageddon
Mr. Toots is some form of horse/unicorn that "shoots laser blasts out of his butt". Additionally, he is highly accurate and extremely destructive, destroying anything in its path.
The Dubstep Gun - Saints Row
The Dubstep Gun is a weapon that shoots long range pulses of energy to the beat of a song, it has no ammo and, instead, works on a charge up system.
Groovitron - Ratchet and Clank
The Groovitron is a throwable disco ball that plays disco music that mesmerises nearby enemies for a certain ammount of time.
Mutated Milk - Team Fortress 2
The Mutated Milk is a secondary weapon for the Scout, appearing as a jar of "milk" (I dont know why this is in quotes, and I would rather not find out) with a Bread Monster inside.
The Cluckshot - Gears Of War 3
The Cluckshot is a sort of grenade launcher, that instead throws explosive chickens. There is not much else I need to say on this.
The Hand Cannon - Dead Space 2
The Hand Cannon, when used, will cause the player to make comedic gun noises and instantly explode anything that the player looks at. No ammunition is required and fires as fast as the player can use it.
Super Sheep - Worms : The Directors Cut
The super sheep is a weapon that is almost exactly the same as the normal sheep, except it can fly with a red superhero cape. The entirety of this game is insane so I'm not surprised.

Bizarre Weapons
Red Faction: Armageddon - Mr. Toots
Mr Toots is a handheld gun in RF: A which shoots rainbows out of its rear or 'fires a beam of magic and wonder'. This magic and wonder uses the same ammo as the Plasma Beam so take that as you will. Mr Toots is acquired upon completion of the main storyline and, although strong, is not blatantly overpowered with a low rate of fire.
Saints Row IV - Dubstep Gun
I love SR4. It's ridiculous.
The Dubstep Gun is a handheld rifle in Saints Row IV which emits energy pulses to the beat of a tune depending on the weapon costume. Although the gun is extremely strong, it needs to charge before use and ammo slowly recharges over time.
Ratchet And Clank - The Groovitron
The Groovitron is a floating disco ball that forces all nearby enemies to dance when thrown, rendering them defenceless. It is contained in the Groovitron Glove, and will only stun bosses for a brief period which makes it better at interrupting their attacks than stalling them.
Team Fortress 2 - Mutated Milk
there is no escape
The Mutated Milk is a secondary throwable for the Scout, being a 'non-milk substance' [bad] with a living mutated bread inside [referencing the Expiration Date short film]. It does no damage, instead applying the milk effect to all nearby enemies, which heals all teammates by 60% of the damage they do to an enemy. The bread is fully alive and will writhe.
Gears Of War 3 - The Cluckshot
The Cluckshot is a grenade launcher in GoW3. Instead of firing grenades, however, it fires explosive chickens. That's about it.
Dead Space 2 - Hand Cannon
The Hand Cannon is a foam finger unlocked after beating DS2 on the hardest difficulty. It consumes no ammo, and a successful hit blasts the limbs of the target, resulting in an instant kill. Isaac Clarke will also yell 'Bang bang' or 'Pew Pew' when firing.
Worms: The Directors Cut - Super Sheep
The Super Sheep is identical to the Sheep in that it can both be launched and explodes on contact. However, the Super Sheep can be activated to be manually controlled via player input

Research - Weird weapons in games
Mr. Toots - Red Faction: Armageddon (2011)
youtube
Mr. Toots is a small unicorn in which the character holds in their hands, when fired, rainbows are shot out of the unicorn's backside. Much different to your average rifle and I think it adds a sense of comedy relief to the game and a motive to keep playing the game to unlock the weapon.
The Dubstep Gun - Saints Row IV (2013)
youtube
The Dubstep Gun is a novelty item, which shoots a laser which pulsates and creates shockwaves to the bassy beat of the dubstep music playing which is decided by the skin you equip, this weapon feels very powerful mainly because of the camera effects and intense music. I think this makes sense being added to the game given the time period it was developed, 2013 was a time period where dubstep was still quite a popular genre of music, although it was at it's peak in the early 2000s.
The Groovitron - Ratchet and Clank (2016)
youtube
The Groovitron is a weapon which shoots a small orb, when the orb lands it has an area of effect similar to a grenade and activates on impact causing every enemy in the area to forcibly dance with a small disco ball above them - this could give the advantage that the enemies are physically unable to fight back when dancing.
Mutated Milk - Team Fortress 2 (2007)
youtube
Mutated Milk is a small glass beaker with milk and a sprouting poisonous potato in it. It's thrown like a grenade and has the same area of effect. When deployed on the enemy, every shot you land on them regains some of your health which helps in situations where, for example, a Scout would try to attack a Heavy.
The Cluckshot - Gears Of War 3 (2011)
youtube
The Cluckshot is an easter egg weapon, which features a chicken wearing a pirate hat flying in on a large ammo box with flapping wings. When activated, it will take out all of the enemies in the area automatically but has to be activated through a lengthy process of finding different ammo boxes around the map and knocking them off a cliff.
The Hand Cannon - Dead Space 2 (2011)
youtube
The hand cannon is a large foam sports hand with a pointed finger that the main character equips when the weapon is picked up, it's essentially used like a reskinned pistol and has a flashlight, the animation features the thumb dropping as if it was the hammer of a revolver and doesn't need to reload.
Super Sheep - Worms: The Directors Cut (1997)
youtube
The super sheep is used like an rpg, where a sheep with a cape is launched out the end. Once launched the sheep is uncontrollable and flys in a circle around the area you launched it to. After a timer expires the sheep explodes and acts as a grenade giving area of effect damage

Song List 0198 - Ratchet & Clank - Groovitron Disco 2; 0199 - Sly 2: Band of Thieves - Nightclub; 0200 - Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc - FunkyBoard
There are lots of musical pieces on my Song List from games I either played myself or watched other people playing them, like my brother, my friend or others. Today’s post will be about funky disco numbers from them :)
For example, I played “Ratchet & Clank“ only once, last year, at my friend place (hardly heard about it before), but I looked up the soundtrack and a few tracks were funny, like this one used during attacks with dico ball :)
(Gif made from ProsafiaGaming‘s video, source here)
I also got to know Sly Cooper series around when I was 20 years old, also at my friend’s home:
(Gif made from CooperCurse’s video, source here)
Yet I think that Rayman series is more closer to my heart, being played much ealier with my brother:
(Gif made from Vera H’s video, source here)
I mean, so weird trips, only to meet three different doctors who miraculously end up in one place later.
(Gif made from SkylanderDudeFilms’s video, source here)
And it’s going to follow me for the rest of my life, isn’t it?
(Gif made from RACEUNITED’s video, source here)
See you next time!

Ratchet and Clank
Though I've known about Ratchet and Clank (and how awesome it is) since the PS2 era, never once did I picked it up to play. 3D platforming games with cutesy characters aren't my cup of tea ever since I saw Super Mario World. To me, platforming only scrolls from left to right and should it go 3D, it should be mature or realistic-looking like Prince of Persia or Soul Reaver or Tomb Raider. Hence, I stayed away from games like Spyro, Jax and Dexter and even Kingdom Hearts (on the notion that Final Fantasy should NEVER be mix with Disney cartoon characters). So yeah, that's the reason why I don't play Ratchet and Clank.
So how the hell did I managed to complete the PS4 edition of the game? 2 reasons. First, I read everywhere that the game's been considered one of the best PS4 games ever. Secondly, I won the game at an auction for RM27. That first reason was why I do the latter. And surely enough, towards the end of the game, I can't help but fell in love with it. I had so much fun throughout the game. There's lots of weapons, beautiful graphics, great level design, a variety of gameplay mechanics and of course, the memorable characters. The story's pretty good too.
The most fun I had was mostly because of one of Ratchet's weapon called the groovitron where upon firing, it shoots out a disco ball complete with disco music with lighted dance floor, and nearby enemies would dance to it leaving them vulnerable to attacks. The best part is, no enemy, NPCs and even bosses can resist the urge to dance, from fishes to blobs to freaking tanks! I had to stop playing a few times to laugh whenever I use that weapon.
Definitely one of the most fun games I've played this year at the same time changed my mind about these kind of games. First was Yakuza, then Persona, then this?! Damn, 2017 been great gaming year so far. I'd probably try Kingdom Hearts HD Remix next! Fufu

Ratchet and Clank Review
Developer: insomniac Games
When I was a teenager with a Playstation 2, Ratchet and Clank was my favourite video game series. I only have Going Commando, Up Your Arsenal and Gladiator/Deadlocked but they are awesome games. When I saw that Ratchet and Clank was on the Playstation Store I had to get it.
Ratchet and Clank is a story of a Lombax named Ratchet and his sidekick robot Clank, who joins the Galactic Rangers with Captain Qwark who stops the evil Dr Nefarious and his puppet Chairman Drek from destroying the galaxy.
I disliked how the circle button on the controller is the same used for shooting and slingshot. There were times when I went to use the slingshot across platforms and started firing a weapon, that's annoying when you are trying to conserve ammo. There were instances where I fell to my death.
There is a trophy called 'Faster than a Speeding Amoeboid' where you have to beat a hoverboard Gold Cup race on planet Rilgar, in under 1:35 minutes. This trophy is hard to earn, I spent nearly an entire day, trying to do this the track is filled with bomb boxes that stopped you for a few seconds if you hit them. I also kept flying off the track into the water and had to be teleported back, which also slows you down. The trick to earning this trophy is you have to use the boost, on your hoverboard the entire way. I think I mostly failed because I ran out of things to fuel my boost with on the final corner leading up to the finishing line. When I finally got the trophy I was timed 1:34.5 minutes, that was an amazing feeling once it was achieved. Not saying I don't like a challenge, I actually found this quite interesting.
Ratchet and Clank took me four playthroughs to collect all the trophies. I played all of the playthroughs on Hard Mode even on Challenge Mode. The thing that annoyed me, when I was rushing through the game, trying to complete it as fast as possible, is that not all cutscenes were able to be skipped.
The levels where you had to engage in ship combat and the places where only Clank could fit through, I thought they were cool the first two playthroughs, but after that I wanted to just skip them, because only the trophies left were only achievable by playing Ratchet. I do love the autohack function, with the trespasser puzzles. After getting the trophy for hacking all the trespasser puzzles, without auto hack and buying all the weapons, I didn't need the rewards.
There were a few things that were missing, that I loved in previous games. I remember back in Up Your Arsenal, if you went back to a planet for whatever reason, the game would reset all the enemies you had to fight. Also I don't know how popular this feature was in the classic games, was but the First Person Shooter mode, I personally liked that mechanic.
Ratchet and Clank was a really fun game to play, there was a gun called the Groovitron which fired a disco ball and making every enemy within range break into a dance for a period of time, before exploding. My favourite dance that they made were the metal dogs, which looked like they were dancing to the Micheal Jackson song Thriller. There was also a little combat robot called Mr Zurkon, that could be summoned. Mr Zurkon would constantly made disturbing yet comical comments, as it exterminated the enemy, it also would insult the player for getting nanotech. My favourite weapon in this game was the Sheepinator, which turns any enemy NPC into a sheep. There are number of other interesting weapons, each with their individual uses and ways to engage the enemy.
I hope to see a sequel to this game. I look forward to more adventures with Ratchet and Clank, as they save the Solana Galaxy from more threats. The game took me about, a week of gameplay to complete it.
Thank you for reading.

Hints
Captian Slag’s Treasure 2.0
One thing I noticed is if you stand in the windowsill you loose control of Ratchet and it does NOT reset you. The only solution is to go to the Load menu and re-load the saved game you’re playing. It will fly you to the planet you are on. Lastly, try throwing out groovitrons while “swimming” in the gold pieces. It adds a nice touch, especially if you have the unlimited ammo Golden Groovitron, purchasable in challange mode after you defeat Tackyon, and only at the devices vendor in Cobalia for a total load of raritanium.
Captain Slag’s Treasure
On Planet Ardolis there is a video of Ratchet and Clank hiding behind chests of gold pieces. That room is actually there but is not a place you are able to go to unless you cheat. By using the Climb up Walls cheat, you can get in there. First, make sure you have completed Ardolis. Then go down the path from your ship until you reach the devices vendor. Behind it is a moving platform that takes you over to a place underneath the treasure room that you regain control of Ratchet at after the previously mentioned video. Go across the hypershot to the ship. Use the razor or shredder claws to climb up the mast to the left (if you are looking at it when you first get on the boat). You may have to climb up one pole and climb up the rest of the other. When you can’t go any higher, fly towards the smoky window. If it is not billowing out smoke then you can’t get in that way. When you get in, the smoke seems to clear, and there is gold everywhere. Unfortunately, it can’t be picked up like money, but you can walk into it and it looks like you are swimming in it. Have fun!
Free Kills
If you go to the cragmite planet after you beatit, you will be in the fighting courtyard. Put onthe holo pirate disguise and hit circle twice. Badguys will appear and not notice you. If you killthem, you have to die before you can make morecome. This is especially helpful for upgradingweaker weapons.
How To Get To The Final Battleground
Using the wall-climbing technique (see How toClimb Walls! ), go to planet Fastoon once itbecomes night there and you have to fightTackyon’s troops. Go to the place behind your shipwhere there once was a ship part. Go to the middleof the building’s curve, and climb up until youfall through the wall. Land on the secret floorbelow. Go right until you reach the edge. Youshould see a ledge. Climb up it, and then go tothe dusty plateau. From there, go as right as youcan. Then jump into the crack below. Instead ofdying, you should end up standing on the rocks. Walk over in the direction of the hole in theground, not the edge of the level. Jump down thehole and fly. You should see a bubble withsomething in it. It is where you fight Tackyonafter you get sucked into the wormhole. After awhile, you should land on the plateau. This isespecially fun if you didn’t kill Tackyon’scannons yet. Press triangle to see how manycannons are left, which shows that there is noreason you should even be there yet. Don’t worryabout Tackyon, he is not there. When you want toleave, jump off the edge and you will be back atyour ship.
How To Get To The Clank Level On Reepor
On Reepor there is a Clank level, and you are notsupposed to be able to go there as Ratchet. If yougo to the part of the level where you used the GeoLazer, there is a piece of wall between the lazerwall and the hole Ratchet made. Using the How toClimb Walls! Technique, climb this wall. Thenproceed to climb the right tall pointy thing onthe roof. Then fly from the top of the pointything and through the wall of the building behindit. Land inside and fly to the right until youland on a rocky part of the cliff. Above you isthe clank level. Climb the wall and get up there. You are now in the Clank level. Should you fall inthe water below, do mot be alarmed. It won’t killyou and you can’t get back on land, so swim as farout as you can until you fall for 30 seconds or doand die. As for the parts you need the Zoni for, Either climb over them, or jump and fly across. You can even step on the Zoni and stomp them intothe ground. Have Fun!
Climb Up Walls!
Use this glitch to climb up walls. It takes alittle practice. Get razor claws (or shredderclaws) out, and get next to a wall. Do a high-jumpand when you reach the top of your jump, hitcircle. When you see the second swing of yourclaws, do a high jump. Repeat the process and havefun climbing! If you have trouble learning how todo this, look up “Ratchet and Clank Tools OfDestruction Reepor Glitch” on you-tube. This is nojoke, I have actually done this and I saw it onyou-tube.
Charge Boots
Get the charge boots by collecting all the statues than going through the trail of turning terror. At the end of the trail there lies the charge boots. Double tap R2 too use them.
Giant Hunter
Earn skill point giant hunter by killing all the laviathans in the colbia wilderness.
