•Grian absolutely loves having two very tall boyfriends to get things off of the high shelves for him. The downside is that they can easily pick him up when he's being a little gremlin and stop him

•Mumbo is all nerves and privacy, so he doesn't usually enjoy touch. But with Skizz around, all touchy and affectionate and close... well, maybe he doesn't mind it so much when it's him

•Mumbo and Skizz get their suits mixed up occasionally. It's easy to tell when they do, because Mumbo looks like a child trying on their parent's clothes and Skizz looks like he's about to pop a button off of his dress shirt

•Skizz takes up half of their entire bed, so Grian has taken to just... laying on top of him and Mumbo

•Grian and Skizz love complaining to each other about Winged People Problems(TM) and Mumbo just sits there, wanting to be included

•Grian and Skizz love watching Mumbo do redstone and pretending to know what's happening. Mumbo and Skizz love watching Grian build and pretending to know what's happening. Mumbo and Grian love watching Skizz exist and pretending to know what's happening

•None of them have any idea how to flirt at all. Grian tries to be slick but is just too uncool; Mumbo stumbles and stammers so much he can't get a sentence out; and Skizz says pick-up lines that ONLY make sense to him

•Mumbo is the only one allowed in the kitchen

•Totally unrelated to the last point, Grian once convinced Skizz that it was a good idea to try to make instant ramen in the coffee machine

•Mumbo makes his boyfriends little mechanical trinkets as a love language. They keep every single one

•Skizz has a golden promise ring, Mumbo has a silver one, and Grian has a bronze one

•Skizz gives the BEST massages known to man. Mumbo still isn't quite comfortable enough with touching to experience one, but Grian gets pampered every other week

•Grian sometimes flies as he walks next to Mumbo and Skizz to feel taller

“PUSH HIM OFF, SKIZZ!” Gem shouts, voice echoing up the mountain. Gem herself is nothing but a dot of brilliant red hair and green coveralls.

For just a moment, Grian hesitates, glancing back at Skizz. A rail tie is still in his hands, which are stained with gunpowder and redstone.

“They’re all waiting for you to hit me off this,” Grian jokes, despite his hesitance, despite his guarded posture.

“I’m not doing it,” Skizz insists, “I’m not doing it, dude! I have my limits, man.”

For a moment, as Grian digs through his inventory for planks, there is something charged in the air between them. A quiet and insistent thing. Grian knows it well— that same thing once hung in the air between him and Scar as they overlooked a desert they could never truly protect. It was there the first time he encountered BigB, before his hopes were shattered by a punch in the arm. It was there standing on a precarious bridge with Mumbo in the Nether, pick in hand, blood hot and fingers itching for a kill.

It’s here now, as Grian slots the tie into place and extends the planks a little further.

What a curious thing, those sparks, that promise. Precarious, as always. Grian is no fool— it won’t last. It never does. He’s close with everyone he’s ever been entangled with, that’s true, but the games end and the relationship fizzles out, and that’s that.

But maybe, for just a moment, Grian pictures sitting on the docks in Hermitcraft, watching the sun set behind Gem’s lighthouse as the ghostly fish circle in the sky, a warm, scarred hand in his own. Wings brushing wings.

For just a moment, Grian lets himself love.

One more jump and-

"We're done!" Grian cheered, stumbling over himself in the hyper excitement, "Oh my god, we're done!!" He exploded into cackling laughter, leaning over to clutch his stomach and keep his balance.

"We did it!" Skizz screamed back, pumping his fists in the air and also laughing, much more triumphant than Grian's exhaustion, "We're done! Finally!"

Without another warning, Skizz tackled Grian into a bear hug, picking him up and spinning him around as they both lost their minds with laughter. Amidst the chaos, Skizz pulled Grian in and pressed an almost desperate kiss to him, so lost in the excitement that he could hardly contain it. Grian met him back with his exact energy, kissing him back so intensely that Skizz stumbled to get his footing stable.

"We never have to look at this game again..!" Impulse exclaimed, finally making himself known with his exasperated voice, "It's over..."

"It's over!!!" Grian screamed, cackling again and jumping out of Skizz's arms. Instead, he clambered over to Impulse, wrapping clumsy arms around him and kissing him as well, much less intense than he was with Skizz but still with the build-up of six hours' worth of relief behind it. Impulse tilted his head to kiss Grian back, wrapping his arms around his waist and melting into it from his exhaustion.

The moment he pulled away, Impulse looked up to be greeted by Skizz's excited smile. Skizz leant down to Impulse, pressing an intense, passionate kiss on his lips as he was still entangled with Grian. Impulse could feel the massive grin against his face and smiled back, eventually breaking off to chuckle and close his eyes.

"Weirdos."

All three looked over at the same time to meet eyes with Gem, standing there with arms crossed and a playful smug smile. Impulse looked away in embarrassment which wasn't helped by Grian and Skizz just waving at her.

"You love us, Gemmy!" Skizz grinned.

"Not as much as you love each other."

Skizz x Grian

Was watching Grian and Skizz do the trial chambers and Skizz is one of the few people that Grian is genuinely trying to help and not prank with death but Skizz is so clumsy that he just dies anyway. I feel like Grian might have tried killing quite a few other people but he was actually helping Skizz stay alive

I saw fanart of those two dancing in the trial chambers and it changed my brain chemistry

(side note, we now have the holy trinity of skizzpulse, grimpulse, and grizzleman)
