Đến 8h30 sáng nay 9/5 (theo giờ Việt Nam), thế giới ghi nhận 4.012.609 mắc COVID-19 và 276.210 ca tử vong. Dịch bệnh có xu hướng hạ nhiệt ở các nước nhưng v��n gia tăng tại các nước Mỹ, Anh, Nga và diễn biến phức tạp tại các điểm nóng mới như Brazil, Mexico.

Mỹ có một ngày nhiều cung bậc c��m xúc khi xác nhận Thư ký báo chí Katie Miller của Phó Tổng thống Mỹ Mike Pence mắc COVID-19. Cô Katie Miller được xác nhận đã dương tính với virus SARS-CoV-2 dù không xuất hiện triệu chứng của bệnh. Điều này đã khiến Phó Tổng thống Mỹ Mike Pence hủy buổi làm việc vùng Des Moines. Các thành viên khác trong đội ngũ của Phó Tổng thống gần đây có tiếp xúc với cô Miller đều phải đi làm xét nghiệm kiểm tra.

Một thông tin đáng buồn khác tại Mỹ là 1 trẻ em đã tử vong vì bệnh hiếm liên quan đến COVID-19. Cậu bé 5 tuổi này ở New York đã tử vong do một hội chứng viêm hiếm gặp với các triệu chứng sốc độc và bệnh Kawasaki. Hội chứng này có liên quan đến các hiện tượng thường gặp như sốt, nổi mẩn da, sưng các tuyến vàthậm chí là viêm động mạch tim.

Hiện ông Andrew Cuomo, Thống đốc bang New York cho biết đang xem xét các trường hợp trẻ em tử vong khác có liên quan gì đến COVID-19 hay không.

Đến sáng nay, Mỹ có thêm 29.162 ca nhiễm mới, 1.687 người tử vong, nâng tổng số ca nhiễm và tử vong tại quốc gia này lên 1.321.707 và 78.615.

Hiện Mỹ đang đối mặt với tỷ lệ thất nghiệp cao nhất trong vòng 40 năm trở lại đây. Theo đó, tỷ lệ thất nghiệp tháng 4 vừa qua đã tăng lên 14,7% - cao kỷ lục so với đỉnh điểm giai đoạn khủng hoảng tài chính toàn cầu năm 2008-2009. Tỷ lệ này cao hơn cả tmức cao nhất kể từ sau Chiến tranh Thế giới thứ hai khi thời điểm tháng 11/1982 là 10,8%.

Tây Ban Nha tiếp tục ghi nhận số ca nhiễm mới tăng mạnh. Sáng nay, quốc gia này có thêm 3.262 ca nhiễm mới và 299 người thiệt mạng. Người dân được chạy bộ, bơi lội, lướt ván từ 6h00 - 10h00 mỗi ngày trên bãi biển dưới sự giám sát của cảnh sát.

Italy vẫn cố gắng hạn chế số ca mắc và tử vong vì dịch bệnh như những ngày trước với 1.327 ca nhiễm mới và 243 người tử vong. Hiện số ca mắc và tử vong tại nước này l�� 217.185 và 30.201 ca tử vong.

Số ca mắc bệnh mới tại Anh vẫn không dừng lại. Trong 24 giờ qua, Anh ghi nhận có thêm 4.649 ca mắc mới và 626 người thiệt mạng. Anh hiện đang có tổng cộng 211.364 ca mắc COVID-19 và 31.241 ca tử vong. Trong một diễn biến khác, ông Oliver Dowden - Bộ trưởng Văn hóa, Kỹ thuật số, Thể thao và Truyền thông của Anh cho biết giải bóng đá Ngoại hạng Anh vẫn chưa được đồng ý tổ chức các vòng đấu còn lại.

Trong 24 giờ qua, Pháp đã có 1.288 ca nhiễm mới và 243 ca tử vong, nâng tổng số ca nhiễm lên 176.079 trường hợp và 26.230 ca tử vong. Pháp dự kiến bắt đầu nới lỏng lệnh phong tỏa từ ngày 11/5 ở tất cả các khu vực và sẽ có những hạn chế nhất định. Sẽ có khoảng 80-85% trong tổng số 50.500 trường học dự kiến sẽ mở cửa trở lại.

Nga có ngày thứ 6 liên tiếp có số người mắc mới trên 10.000 người. Quốc gia này hiện đang đứng thứ 5 thế giới về tổng số ca nhiễm COVID-19. Hiện nước Nga đang có 187.859 ca nhiễm (tăng 10.699) và 1.723 ca tử vong (tăng 98). Ngày hôm qua (8/5), giới chức thủ đô Moskva đã quyết định gia hạn các biện pháp phong tỏa đến cuối tháng 5 này.

Tại khu vực châu Á, dịch bệnh vẫn diễn biến phức tạp. Sau một thời gian kiềm tỏa được dịch bệnh thì hôm qua, Hàn Quốc đã ghi nhận số người nhiễm COVID-19 mới tăng trở lại mức hai con số. Trong 24 giờ qua, quốc gia này đã ghi nhận 12 ca nhiễm mới, trong đó có 1 ca là trong nước và 11 ca là trường hợp nhập cảnh. Tổng số ca mắc COVID-19 ở Hàn Quốc hiện đang là 10.822 ca và tổng số ca tử vong là 256.

Nhật Bản cũng đang xem xét dỡ bỏ lệnh tình trạng khẩn cấp tại những khu vực không ghi nhận ca mắc COVID-19 mới nào. Đến sáng nay, Nhật Bản có tổng số ca nhiễm là 15.575 (tăng 98) và 590 trường hợp tử vong (tăng 13).

Tại Đông Nam Á, Indonesia đã giảm nhiệt khi có thêm 336 ca mắc mới và thêm 13 ca tử vong. Tổng số ca nhiễm bệnh tại quốc gia là 13.112 và 943 người thiệt mạng. Quốc gia này bắt đầu nới lỏng song vẫn ở mức hạn chế việc đi lại bằng đường không.

Singapore đến sáng nay có vẫn có số người nhiễm mới cao, 768 người. Hiện nước này có 21.707 ca nhiễm và giữ nguyên số ca tử vong là 20 trong nhiều ngày nay.

Philippines dù có số ca nhiễm mới là 120 nhưng đã có thêm 13 người chết, đưa tổng số ca nhiễm và tử vong lên 10.463 và 696.

Tại Malaysia và Thái Lan, số ca nhiễm mới giảm và trong vòng 2 ngày qua không ghi nhận thêm ca tử vong mới nào.
