I retouched my main 3 boyfriends in sims 4, and i am ready to annoy you all

first up is Gavrilo. i’m not entirely happy with the result but i like it a lot better than the previous. At least you can tell his hair is nice n silky, like i wanted.

and yeah i dont have tattoos in russian so i went fuk dat let’ do the good ol yakuza back tattoo instead. fight me.

next up is Grisha, obv. same thing, the gool ol’ yakuza. and since he actually gets invited to civil events with Dietrich as his plus one, he has to hide it in some way so he wears wigs, hence the long hair. 

As for Dietrich, he’s too pure for all that shit so he has nothing to hide. except maybe that he never cuts his hair except for really important events.

FACTS ABOUT GAVRILO TIME (TW)

He's 24

He's tall. (6ft5)

The more I draw him the more buff he gets

Russian. Partly.

He likes classic rock bands and funk. And rum.

He's an orphan. Spent the first 5 years of his life with his mom, younger brother (Grisha. I'll tag him) and (I guess you can call him his) step father, then she was brutally murdered and well. He ended up at the orphanage with 1 year old Grisha in his arms. He swore to protect him all his life.

He ... he's in the russian mafia of his town (like Grisha, lol. Yes its the same one.)

He is excellent with a gun but prefers using knives. They make less sound.

He tried everything in his power to prevent his family to find and recruit his brother and failed. Nothing you can say will convince him that he did what he could and he doesn't have to blame himself

(Edit: when I say family I mean the mob)

He and Grisha have a different father. Their mother was the Boss's favourite escort. Gavrilo is the son of a lower class mobster. His brother on the other hand, is the illegitimate son of the boss himself.

15 year old Gavrilo left the orphanage and tried to get in the mob but was considered "too pretty" and was hired as a prostitute instead. He only was taken seriously the day he murdered his client in cold blood because he "wasn't gentle enough" with him (He was 19 when that happened).

Teenager Gavrilo grew out his hair very long

He often went batshit and had an insane look on his face (see picture above). He only harmed others when he cconsidered things unfair. Be nice and he will be charming. Be rude and you might not see tomorrow.

He hadn't seen his brother in years. They met again when he was 23. By then his hair was short and he was more civil. He was ggenuinely only to the very few people he cared about: his little brother, his brother's boyfriend, his brother's boyfriend's family and one Russian boy he's met at the orphanage. I guess you could say they childhood friends. That makes 7 people total.

Though he will be nice to strangers too but it's not the same thing. He wouldnt die for a stranger. He wouldnt kill for a stranger. But he would beat up a rude mf if he disrespected someone for no reason.

In his house prostitutes only get hired if a) they are treated with utmost care and b) if they are on the brink of a breakdown and need to just have some time to themselves. You dont just use them like a disposable object or you might lose a finger or two.

He bites. Hard.

He likes cats.

He likes plants so much his entire flat is basically a greenhouse.

He likes everyone. You think because you're a boy/girl/demi/trans/nb/++ he will find you unattractive? You're wrong. He doesn't care. He likes you and he thinks you're valid.

My problem with Alina's character is that she doesn't think or act the way she should given her circumstances and profession. She's supposed to be an orphan in a war-torn country, a soldier in imperialist Russia but thinks and acts like an American teenager.

Like any soldier can tell that running from the Little Palace is desertion, and in that time period it is punishable by death, Alina still acts surprised and hurt when Sasha punishes her as it is within his right as a General.

She calls him a murderer for killing the same stag she wanted to kill. Like they are not at war, where everyone is a murderer, or an accomplice. Like surprise Alina your maps were used by Ravkan soldiers in order to kill the enemy more efficiently, you're part of the killing-machine too.

I won't even go into the burning of the maps, because it deserves its own post.

She says to him "You don't care who suffers as long as you win" with so much disdain, even though it is literally the job description of a general.

She feels disconnected from the world she lives in, whereas Sasha acts and thinks like a proper general from said time-period. Many pointed out that in the series he doesn't really do anything that is not in his rights as a general. Zlatan declared war by sending an assassin (hello archduke Franz Ferdinand and Gavrilo Princip) and Sasha neutralized the threat. If not the Fold and the volcra, then the First Army would have killed Zlatan, this way there would not have been a single casualty on Sasha's side.

He is fully immersed in the geopolitical situation, sees the big picture, it's something Alina couldn't be bothered to do in 3 books straight. She is weirdly pro-monarchy all the way, has this fixation on killing the Darkling and destroying the Fold, and fucks off. The state of the country and the situation of the Grisha is worse, she didn't do anything worthwhile, while the Darkling protected Ravka's borders and built the Little Palace from scratch.

Alina get's criticized more because she didn't do anything, acts like a victim like her suffering is the only suffering in the world. Sees the world in black and white in a time of war, where the first thing that goes out of the window is morality. Doesn't care about the plight of the Grisha, doesn't offer alternative and viable solutions, she just wants to back to her meadow with Mal, her character just simply not interesting enough.

Aleksander dedicated his entire life to make Grisha safe from persecution, he wants to be part of the narrative, he's more like a hero.

I love S&B Aleksander (Book Darklina is so-so) and understand his motivations, but I sometimes think the Darklina fandom is unfair to S&B Alina. She's a very flawed and very real young female character. Jessie made her very believable. I also think it's wrong to dismiss her own feelings of betrayal, hurt, and trauma solely to fixate on Aleks'. Both of them have suffered in similar and different ways. You can sympathize with both of them and not justify everything Aleks did. Neither are perfect.

All of this is very true. I do think some of the negativity towards Alina comes from the books and its more the way she was written than the character herself that people seem to have an issue with. At least from what I've seen. I also think you are right and we need to be careful not to dismiss Alina's feelings and the things she's gone through. I think we talk more about Aleks because we feel the need to defend or understand him better because he is a very complex character. Whereas with Alina she doesn't get the same level of hate that Aleks does and whilst still a complex character I wouldn't consider her as complex as Aleks just because Aleks has had that long life so there is more mystery and more to unpack with him if that makes sense. I don't think I have ever made an Alina post that has gotten anti comments on it but I have with Aleks. But I do think you are right and we do still need to remember to talk about Alina and validate her. Also as you said its ok to not justify everything Aleks did, its ok to sympathise with both and we should recognise that whilst Aleks may feel hurt and betrayed Alina also has the right to feel that way too. Like you said neither character is perfect.
