So when Grimsley turned fourteen he ran away, no longer wanting to be associated with his family. But it wasn't for the reasons Karen or Sidney had, it had nothing to do with being ashamed of anti-psychic roots. It was because Grimsley would have a much harder life because of his family. It was for purely selfish reasons, and if you were to tell Grimsley he was a selfish person, he would chuckle and agree. Grimsley couldn't care less about the psychics in battles. It was easier not to care. Grimsley's no stronger to betting. Back in his father's home, the men that invested in his father's business would go to the basement and play craps, blackjack, poker, and all sorts of card games. Grimsley learned how to roll a set of dice when he first learned how to walk. His mother didn't like that her son was being introduced to those games so early in his life. Grimsley found that he liked those games. Low rewards, and high risks especially. The casinos in Unova were open to anyone above the age of sixteen. Unovians figured that their kind were smart enough to bet wisely, to bet carefully, and if a sixteen-year-old could acquire a fire-breathing dragon they can bet their life savings. Grimsley knew about card counting. It was deceitful, but Grimsley didn't care. If he was lucky, he would win and get away with it. If he was unlucky, he would get caught and be taken to a back room and Grimsley would have to pray that none of his ribs were shattered. They never were. One would think despite the awful beatings Grimsley had gotten that he would steer clear of those specific casinos. It made him go there even more until he was banned.

Could you tell us more about absintheshipping if possible? (Burgh x Grimsley)

Heya! Sorry for the late reply, I've been swamped with school and such but trust me, this question has been on my mind for ages haha ^-^

There's no canon basis for absintheshipping, if memory serves me right (perhaps in the manga, but if it happened then I don't really remember)

However... I honestly feel like they'd have real chemistry together. A Gary Prince and Marshall Lee sort of relationship, y'know?

They're both pretty confident, though Grimsley is a bit more reserved while Burgh is relatively outspoken (he's an artist in New York, it comes with the job).

There's also the case where they're both effectively type opposites, which automatically gives the ship like, 40 ship points or whatever (sp for short). In @askburgh, Grimsley has a bug phobia (and shows no romantic interest in Burgh), but I personally think it'd be kinda silly if he still fell for Burgh anyways. Maybe learns to appreciate bug types a bit more, especially since he's in the region with the best buggies :)

There really isn't much else I can say about the ship, since I haven't been overly active in the Pokemon Community, but safe to show that I'll go bonkers for anyone who still posts about these squishies in 2023.

In the future, if you were to ask a Unovian their thoughts on Elesa Glazebrook, most would shrug their shoulders and remark, "Well, Arceus certainly has His favorites." And they would be correct. Most Unovians were. Elesa Glazebrook projected an air of perfection. Wait no, that wouldn't be an accurate statement. Elesa defined perfection. With complexion clear as day, a blonde bob that only Elesa could rock, light blue eyes, and naturally, that smile. Her voice was clear, bubbly, and could make any piece of boring information sound exciting, especially when conversing with the opposite sex. Even though that didn't matter, since Elesa didn't swing that way. She knew that a young age too - much to the disappointment of the league fanboys that bitched and moaned that life wasn't fair, like she would even look in their direction.

- Allister is asexual and hasn’t figured out if he has a romantic orientation yet.

- Brycen is gay and he used to date Burgh. He’s still not quite over the break up.

- Bugsy is nonbinary and prefers he/him and they/them pronouns. Arceus help you if you call Bugsy she/her. He’s dating Falkner.

- Burgh is gay and fabulous. He used to date Brycen and is roommates with Grimsley (who is ace, btw).

- Candice is a lesbian and dating Maylene.

- Elesa is pansexual and in a relationship with Skyla. I like to think she used to date Cress at one time. Unlike Brycen and Burgh, they’re still friends.

- Erika is a lesbian. Yeah, I know, real original, but I mean, it’s not hard to come to that conclusion when all her gym trainers are women and she gives out the Rainbow Badge.

- Falkner’s pansexual and dating Bugsy.

- Marlon’s gay.
