the things i’d draw grimsley and burgh doing in alola if i had the time and motivation

(also just the things i’ve thought ab them doing enough times to create whole tiny storylines in my head i’m too lazy to flesh out. i’m well aware alola grim is probably a different grim from bwb2w2 grim but i do not care!)

shopping spree. i already KNOW burgh can and would empty his wallet for the hau’oli and konikoni city apparel stores. oh, and the Alola tourist bureau. he’d have to get something cute and souvenir-ey from there. grimsley just sighs at the man’s enthusiasm and energy yet just lets him run wild. burgh would leave alola with more stuff than be brought with him but i have a feeling he’d also be into dyeing clothes with berries too..

alola photo club. burgh would take all day editing photos of him and leavanny you know he’d just be so delighted come on.

mantine surfing. grimsley would step out into the sunlight for once oh my arceus and burgh would be surprisingly open to the experience, but would still prefer to stay back and adore the picture perfect sight with a certain someone surfing part of the scenery.

malie garden. pretty plants. big grass. big pretty plants and grass to explore and walk around and admire the nature but also grimsley himself aaa

sit on the beach or by a near cliff overlooking the coast or smth at night and just watch the lumineon. alomomola. sharpedo. swimmy pokémon found in alola do their thing, raising the wildest waves they’ve ever seen while setting the sea aglow. staring into each other’s souls having a little moment i don’t know i’m not a writer!

Burgh interrupted their walk/date. XD (Colress is being Colress, and is utterly oblivious to Burgh. Grimsley, meanwhile, is totally planning revenge.)

(Also, Grimsley has some pretty hilarious expressions. Cycling through them to find the right one was absolute hilarity.)

In the future, if you were to ask a Unovian their thoughts on Elesa Glazebrook, most would shrug their shoulders and remark, "Well, Arceus certainly has His favorites." And they would be correct. Most Unovians were. Elesa Glazebrook projected an air of perfection. Wait no, that wouldn't be an accurate statement. Elesa defined perfection. With complexion clear as day, a blonde bob that only Elesa could rock, light blue eyes, and naturally, that smile. Her voice was clear, bubbly, and could make any piece of boring information sound exciting, especially when conversing with the opposite sex. Even though that didn't matter, since Elesa didn't swing that way. She knew that a young age too - much to the disappointment of the league fanboys that bitched and moaned that life wasn't fair, like she would even look in their direction.

Could you tell us more about absintheshipping if possible? (Burgh x Grimsley)

Heya! Sorry for the late reply, I've been swamped with school and such but trust me, this question has been on my mind for ages haha ^-^

There's no canon basis for absintheshipping, if memory serves me right (perhaps in the manga, but if it happened then I don't really remember)

However... I honestly feel like they'd have real chemistry together. A Gary Prince and Marshall Lee sort of relationship, y'know?

They're both pretty confident, though Grimsley is a bit more reserved while Burgh is relatively outspoken (he's an artist in New York, it comes with the job).

There's also the case where they're both effectively type opposites, which automatically gives the ship like, 40 ship points or whatever (sp for short). In @askburgh, Grimsley has a bug phobia (and shows no romantic interest in Burgh), but I personally think it'd be kinda silly if he still fell for Burgh anyways. Maybe learns to appreciate bug types a bit more, especially since he's in the region with the best buggies :)

There really isn't much else I can say about the ship, since I haven't been overly active in the Pokemon Community, but safe to show that I'll go bonkers for anyone who still posts about these squishies in 2023.
