Judo aged up into a fully grown dog! No idea what breed he is but he's very cute.

Conrad popped by to see how the newlyweds were getting on.

"Everything okay, big bro?"

Derrick sat in stony silence before finally responding, "Iris is pregnant."

"Isn't that... good news?"

Derrick frowned, "What if the nooboo inherits my condition?"

Conrad laughed, "I don't think that's going to be a problem, Derrick. No one here minds, do they? It doesn't affect you all that much other than an urge to howl every now and then. That affects the people around you, I guess, but only because we need to pee when you do it, so what does it matter if the nooboo is like you? He or she will still be cute! I can't wait to be an uncle!"

Feeling somewhat reassured, Derrick invited Conrad to stay for dinner.

Nimue came home from school that afternoon with a new friend - townie Drew Tucker. She had a bolt of chemistry with him but, despite a bit of flirting, they didn't get a crush on each other. He decided not to stay for dinner.

Dinner was sparkly spaghetti. Iris was in bed as her pregnancy was already hitting her hard, but everyone else sat down together.

"I miss snow," Conrad was saying. "We used to have loads of it where we used to live. It's weird never really having winter at all! But I guess I can't complain about the hot weather."

"So are you like our uncle now, or what?" asked Frost.

Conrad smiled. "I guess? Step-uncle? Is that a thing? I'll be your new brother or sister's uncle though! I'm very excited about that!"

Later, in the middle of the night, Iris went into labour. Derrick, who was just about to go to bed, stopped what he was doing and watched helplessly as she screamed. Nimue, who was already asleep, was woken up by the noise.

Soon, little Thorn Phillips was born! Welcome to the world little one!

Derrick didn't even come to meet the nooboo, just flopped straight into bed. That bodes well... Nimue, meanwhile, was excited to meet her new half-brother.

"Hello nooboo! I'm your big sister! Yes I am! I'm going to help feed you and change you and I'm going to be your best friend!"

"That's very sweet, darling. Now I'm exhausted and I know you are too so go back to bed while I try and get him to sleep," Iris said.

And that's the end of the round! Iris and Derrick are now 37, Frost is 18 and ready to move out, Nimue is 15 and Thorn is a newborn. We'll find out when he's a teen if he has inherited his mum's witchiness or his dad's lycanthropy (or both).

With only one Grimsbane and three Phillipses living in the house going forward, this household will be called the Phillips household from now on.

Iris didn't have time to head into her store this round with everything else going on, so it's still Rank 4. Hopefully she can build it a bit more next round.

The next household is Derrick's old home, the Phillips family (which I guess will be the Phillips II household next round)! Let's go!

Iris finally emerged from her bedroom after dinner, in time for her second pop!

That night was Frost's 18th birthday party so he invited all his friends over to celebrate, including townie Genevieve who wasn't quite his friend but they had flirted a little bit at school.

They put the cake outside as there really wasn't room for everyone in their small front room and gathered round to celebrate. Frost blew out the candles...

... and aged up to an adult! He's keeping the hair and make up because I think it suits him and he rolled Family as his secondary, making him Knowledge/Family. His LTW is to become a Criminal Mastermind! He'll be moving out next round, finally freeing up some space for Nimue to get her own bedroom!

The next morning, Iris felt a wave of nausea shudder through her and wondered. Could she possibly be pregnant?

Before school, Frost (who had once again neglected his homework) spent some time persuading his mum to do it for him.

She sat in his room as he climbed onto the school bus, shaking her head and completing his assignment for him.

I really thought we had sorted out this little phase of his... she thought to herself, but she was happy to help her little angel if it meant he wouldn't fail school.

Before too long, however, she had to leave the homework as it was time for her first pop!

Derrick had to go straight to work after the reception, so Iris was left alone with her kids and Judo, who had just emptied his bladder on the path outside.

"Good boy," she praised him. "Who's a good boy going to the toilet outside? You are! Yes, you are!"

When Derrick got home later that night, he had earned a promotion to Tarot Card Reader. Well done, Derrick!

He made sure to pay the bills and taxes while he was outside.

When he got inside, he found his new bride waiting for him on their bed, still in her wedding dress.

"Nimue is sleeping on the couch tonight, voluntarily. I've been waiting for you..." she said.

And they hopped under the covers for their first Woohoo as a married couple.

As they no longer had Nimue's birthday to prioritise, Iris and Derrick decided to throw their wedding party and make it official. Iris whipped up a beautiful wedding gown on her sewing table and they invited some of the couples they had got to know in their respective short times in town, as well as Derrick's brother.

They waited until Frost and Nimue arrived home from school and changed into their formal outfits before officially tying the knot.

It was a beautiful ceremony, with Nimue standing up as bridesmaid for her mum. Everyone stood and applauded the happy couple.

The reception mainly consisted of dancing to the stereo, which they had moved into the garden. They couldn't afford a cake, but everyone enjoyed the party anyway.

There was no more room for Nimue to sleep in Iris' double bed thanks to Derrick's arrival, so they replaced her old crib in the corner with a single bed. She was pretty embarrassed to be sleeping in the same room as her mum and mum's new partner, however, so woke up the next morning cringing heavily.

She couldn't wait to get out of the door and off to school!

While the kids were out, Iris called the Pet Adoption Agency to see if they had any rescues that needed homes as she and Frost had both rolled a want for a puppy. Rue Mole, the lady from Animal Control, arrived to get everything sorted for their new arrival.

And soon new puppy Judo joined the family! Unfortunately, there was no room for him inside so he's going to be an outside dog, but Iris made sure to welcome him.

When Frost got home from school, he was surprised to find the new addition to their household but got on with his chores as usual. The toilet in his bathroom was starting to grow new life, so it was about time!

That evening was Nimue's birthday so she invited over her girls for a dance party.

When it was time for her to blow out her candles, Iris put the cake in the middle of the lounge and Nimue made a wish.

She aged up into a gorgeous teen! She's straight and she rolled Fortune for her aspiration. She's attracted to redheads who are great dancers and aren't wearing accessories. She didn't inherit her mum's witchiness so she is fully human.

Iris and Derrick headed downstairs to her bedroom for their first Woohoo...

... and afterwards, still glowing with happiness, Iris decided to get down on one knee and propose while still in her underwear. Derrick of course said yes! I think every single (straight) couple in the neighbourhood has had the woman propose so far. That's quite a funny trend!

They decided to move in together straight away. Derrick briefly considered returning to his home to pick up his PC so he could still game, but he realised that they wouldn't have anywhere to put it in Iris' house so he just left it.

Round 7 - Summer 2 (Part 2) - The Grimsbane Family

ROS for the Grimsbanes is to invite over family members (they don't have any) and for Iris to befriend her kids (she's already BFFs with them). So pretty much nothing. Ah well!

The round starts with the kids running for the school bus, which I thought was amusing as Frost (despite being a rebel) isn't sloppy enough to trigger the untucked shirt variation of the teen uniform. He still wants to look nice, dammit!

As soon as the kids were gone, Iris invited over Derrick Phillips for an at-home date.

They spent some time making out on the couch and promptly fell in love with each other.

Safe to say I'm excited!

It's high time for an updated view of the neighbourhood as I've added a few lots since the last time a few rounds ago.

There will still be a bit more expansion in Round 11, as I have plans to build a cemetery (now that we have need of one 😢) on the road leading off to the left as well as another town-owned rental lot - provided there are sufficient town funds available - and I will of course be adding a University.

Back at home, Derrick noticed his brother Conrad walking past so he greeted him warmly. They headed inside for a catch up.

Unfortunately, they couldn't chat for long as Derrick had to go to work. He went out to his carpool and left Conrad watching TV with Iris.

Iris wasn't too happy being left alone with Conrad. She wasn't the best of friends with her brother-in-law and hadn't really spent much time alone with him so it was a bit awkward. Eventually, Conrad picked up on Iris' many hints and stood up to leave.

"I'll pop round again when Derrick is here," he said. "Give Thorn my love!"

Still, awkward as it had been for Iris, it was a good thing Derrick went to work as he earned a promotion to Douser Dowser! (I really need to get the mod that fixes Maxis' spelling errors one of these days...) Every day he's a step nearer to his Lifetime Want! Well done, Derrick!

The round came to an end that night when the season changed so here's a family photo of the Phillipses!

Iris and Derrick are both now 44 and Thorn is 7. Let's head over to Frost Grimsbane and his fiancée - the Grimsbane family - to see what's going on!

I've decided to start a Simblr of my own, as I follow so many and I wanted somewhere to share my own creations.

I mostly tell stories and occasionally do 4t2 default replacements, but I'm a beginner and still learning (both how to default replace and how to use Tumblr!) so I won't be taking requests. However, I'm open to WCIFs as I'm always happy to give credit where it's due.
