I love the comments and defense of the original Snow White but some people are not taking the defensive position that I would take, all things considered.

I mean, asking the question “since when is it bad to wish for love?” is one thing, but then sometimes people follow it up with, “and that’s not all she wanted! That’s not her main goal!”

Okay I appreciate you but yes it was. Let’s just call it like it is. And then don’t back down. Hear me out.

The first thing you learn about Snow-White is from that pretty opening-fairy-tale-book page, where it points out two characters: the wicked and vain stepmother who is afraid of Snow White and dresses her in rags to cover up her beauty, and uses her as a scullery maid—and Snow White herself, who is…well, used as a scullery maid.

Treated as a servant, and actively hated by the only family she has. And she’s a child. She hasn’t been alive very long to experience anything other than hatred and jealousy toward herself.

She’s even talking to birds, and the fact that they’re clustered around her from beginning to end of that opening scene indicates that they’re very comfortable with her and she talks to them all the time—because they’re the only positive interaction she gets to have.

That’s the situation that Snow White is in. But the first thing you learn about who she is and what she wants comes when she wishes in the well. And what’s she wishing for?

Love. The one she loves. A specific, male figure, who will say nice things to her and find her. She wants him to come quick. Why?

How silly. How vapid and shallow of her. How weak and one-dimensional. Please, goodness, can’t someone update her to have some depth?

NO. She is a young woman who is not given any love and is treated like a horrible nuisance who must be covered up in dirt and rags. She has no friends except birds, who can’t talk back. She is actively hated by the closest person to her.

It’s a miracle she even knows the word “love” and has the strength of character to believe in it after the situation she’s grown up in.

The song very specifically says “I’m wishing…for the one I love…to find me…today. I’m hoping…and I’m dreaming of…the nice things…he’ll say.”

She wants to be loved because she isn’t loved. Geez, she wants someone to say nice things to her. She wants to give her own love because she doesn’t have anything but courtyard doves to befriend. Of course it’s her goal. Of course it’s her wish. What wish or goal could be higher? And what wish or goal could be more natural for a character in her situation?

And even more than that, what could be stronger than believing that it will happen? This character who’s been unloved and mistreated by everyone takes a Prince at his word when he says he’ll give her that love. He promises it, and she believes him.

She has every opportunity and right to be bitter, hardened, anti-social, self-absorbed (pre-Huntsman and Dwarfs, she could very easily believe that nobody else is going to watch out for her except herself) and jaded. But instead she has this pure faith, which it takes a lot to maintain when everything has been ripped away from you. She could’ve been totally swamped by doubt and bitterness.

I mean, she could worry that the Prince won’t be able to convince her Stepmother to let him marry her.

Then when she gets chased into the woods for her life, she could fret that the Prince wouldn’t know how to find her.

Heck, she could just forget about him, give up, and say, “this is my life now, I’m living with these seven dwarfs and we’ll take care of each other, I guess that’s the most I can hope for.”

But no. She has faith in his promise, and hangs on to her dream, and sings, with total assurance, “Someday My Prince Will Come.” I mean, she won’t even let a moment of panic in the woods go by without reprimanding herself for losing that faith, for a second.

Can any of you say the same? Can any of you imagine being that kind of person: the kind of person who unashamedly wants to love and be loved in return, and when everything is stripped away and every chance at that taken from you, you hang on and believe anyway? You stay positive and even joyful anyway? For love?

Come on. Defend that. Yes, her goal was “just” to be loved. And to love in return. The fear of having her life taken from her, the necessity (not the desire for) freedoms from that, was just an obstacle in the way of being loved. And this isn’t a movie about Snow White’s natural reaction to abuse. It’s about her strength of faith in love in SPITE of that abuse. The spotlight is on her strength, not her weakness, but it’s strength of faith in love.

Anyway.

If you believe that it’s good and fine for a girl’s whole goal and fondest dream is to be loved, then don’t stand with one foot in that camp and another in the camp that says “girls want more than just love.” No, what? Love is the best thing a girl can want. I’m not talking about “romance.” I’m not talking about sex. I’m talking about pure, self-sacrificial, kind love. It’s the best thing they can want, and Snow White is one of the only characters who does want it unashamedly, uncomplicated.

Just defend that. Don’t try to argue that the “Someday My Prince Will Come” Princess isn’t wholeheartedly after love. Makes it look like you don’t believe that’s as wonderful as it is.

The kids once saw him chase a gator off with a broom and were like wow Florida is wild 

Beyond his cannon love for classic rock he really likes bands like Joji, greta van fleet, Ricky Montgomery (soft boy bands and more emotional stuff)

He later in life gets tattoos 

Some for his grandfather and one that looks like a hollow tongue

They mostly cuddled while playing video games and sat together on the beach or on a dock and would hangout and drink 

He never said anything to his parents 

His mom would be cool with it 

But if his dad knew he would be mad 

He knows spanish but like a hs amount

His dad said he switched out of love but it was hate for being raised that way and hate for his dad

But he does keep it in a man bun or a ponytail if he doesn’t feel like having it down or he’s reading a map

Sometimes they will just see a floating hairband or headband 

He once let Bronwyn and Emma put makeup and a wig  on him to see what he looked like ( based on a mha comic)

  It did not go that well

He kept in touch with Lilly

He set up an email and they talk all the time

He visit her occasionally visits her but sometimes he brings a stand in so she isn’t talking to nothing Its noor 90% of the time 

Sometimes him, lilly, noor and jacob go on double dates

The first time he heard Lilly sing he loved it 

They tried the makeup and a wig thing on a date and it wasn’t too bad mainly bc he had on a face mask and sunglasses 

He keeps tabs on all his favorite peculiars and visits them regularly

Voice hc: he has a super deep voice ( someone gave me this idea and I loved it ) he also has a thick scottish accent (kinda like the in audiobook)

Lilly could sit and hear him talk for hours 

Both to hear his accent and to hear him talk about stuff he likes 

He once described to Lilly  and Noor what he looked like

Then with the description lilly made a drawing or a picrew of him

He loves when people come to him with questions 

Not because it makes him feel smart but because he is glad that they want to learn something 

He takes up a teaching job in the peculiar world

Olive/ claire

Are both in awe over kids toys of the modern world 

But are confused by some of them

Kinda both like modern stuff 

Claire learning about Claire’s and thinking it’s magical and loving it 

Mainly for the name and also for the glitter and toys 

She keeps telling the workers that her name is Claire 

Jacob takes her on a birthday shopping spree there one year and she goes WILD

Claire looks and sounds like Shirley Temple and old people tell her DAILY

It gets to a point where she has to look up who she is 

She couldn’t agree more 

She then keeps acting like Shirley Temple and will sing animal crackers in my soup all the time 

Jacob blames himself for getting her that dvd box set ( you know the one that would blast on tv at 1 am yeah that one )

Olive is more of a slight tomboy

Olive keeps wanting to join sports but has a hard time with getting led filled  tennis shoes. 

She eventually joins a soccer team for peculiars that work with all kinds of accommodations 

Neither of them are huge fans of more modern kids tv but they do both like the older stuff

Jacob shows them older 60s and 70s kids tv and that seems to be more their speed 

Hugh/ Fiona

They move out and have a small place together 

They have tons of plants and a small garden

They eventually get married soon after the events of DoDA

Fiona works at a flower shop 

She doesn’t really care for too much modern stuff 

Hugh only really cares for things he can use in the modern world 

Even back in the loops he would smoke to keep the bees calm if they got out of control 

That mainly started in Devil's Acre and when he thought he wouldn’t see Fiona again bc his bees were going wild 

Enoch stole a cigarette off him once and hugh found him hidden from him in a corner somewhere (complete goblin mode)

After threatening to tell Ms. P he just laughed and let him keep it and lets him take some as long as he asks

Fiona hates it because she doesn’t like kissing him afterwards

Seeing her again has got him to slowly stop 

She also hates kissing him after he’s had coffee

But she doesn't mind too much and he still gives her cheek kisses with his coffee breath

The bees hate coffee but he doesn’t care  

Him and Fiona could sit and drink tea all day especially with fresh honey and flowers

Fiona has a small and high pitched voice and a thick accent

In the way of using they for anyone who gets it they ask them to use just they/them but lets older peculiars and Ymbrynes get to call them a woman.

Goes to as many of Lilly’s concerts as possible

Kinda still dresses the same and people just think he’s into vintage stuff

Slightly warms up to more modern fashion after learning more 

Isn’t into some modern fashion but slowly grows to like the more classic and fancy stuff

He cries and sits on the gucci website and stuff

They all pitched in and got him something once for his birthday

It was like a pair of really nice and designer socks or a belt or something 

He basically keeps it on display and only wears it for special occasion 

He’s gay (kinda cannon )

He doesn't really get too into modern lgbtq+ culture because it's too foreign to him

But he does adopt the gay flag ( the og rainbow one ) and has a small one in his room and one as a lapel pin

Does adopt the 30’s and 40’s american lgbtq+ symbolism like lavender and saying things like “ friend of Dorothy” 

But he loves that modern men actually dress nice(ish) and take care of their skin and aren’t afraid of more feminine things 

The only modern tech he loves are modern ovens, high tech sewing machines, embroidery machines and the canon ones like fabric softener and modern landry tools 

When he gets older he goes out with Enoch 

They date on and off over the years but eventually stay together after a year or so of being on again off again 

Gets a job later as a tailor and love it

Ricky and Noor teach him about it 

He LOVES that it mainly started in England 

They teach him the history and values 

They start him off with the older punk music then work they way to more modern

Noor helps him make all his clothes and jackets and stuff

 He becomes a mechanic when he is older

When he’s older he also get tattoos 

Some of his old life and skulls and  one of a set of his old mortuary tools and one for Victor (or several) 

Other of stupid random stuff but he is COVERED in tattoos and Ms. P has a heart attack at first but stops after the first few bc he’s an adult and it's his money 

He thought about working at a morgue but decided to leave that work in his past 

That and things changed so much that he didn’t want to catch up

He’s bi and Noor kinda helped him understand modern lgbtq+ stuff 

He also has a few pro lgbtq+ rights patches on his jacks and loves the idea of pissing of homophobes 

Horace hates his music but tunes it out because he wants him to just be happy 

He finds a new love for scary movies 

He makes Horace watch with him but Horace hides his face the entire time 

This is a quick way he gets Horace to cuddle him when even during the times they were not together 

Doing this and cuddling him made Horace realize how much he actually really liked it and they got back together and stayed together 

Enoch sometimes finds loops in the early days of punk shows just to experience them and show Noor (I aint punk sorry it’s also 2am I’ll fix this later if the wording is dumb)

For “Power of the Eons”, these are the dragons from ‘the 36 Dragon Prophecy’; that are in the Ultimate Alliance to save all the realms. From left to right: the 3 Mage Dragons (Thrill, Mixxy & Knighty), x7 Heroic Dragons (the Middle 7) & Dark Chain Gang Members And Affiliate (Diesel & Faint, Yowza).

Spyro’s friends from the many titles, I have changed James Byrd from a penguin to a phoenix. The other oddity is Slashette, she is Ripto’s daughter. She will emerge in the Dragon Code MMORPG stories. Long story short, she is the estranged daughter with full knowledge of her father but wants nothing to do with him. Even after he finally learns that he had a long lost daughter; she is a dark green raptor.

All of my favorites from the All Stars of PlayStation. That will be on the good side of the Ultimate Alliance. Side note, I recently learned that the original Tomb Raider was created as Latina. Juggernaut is an Executioner, galactic class; from the Elven Realms. He is amongst the Top 1,000 List, in the 25 Bracket. He joins the Ultimate Alliance for survival purposes. Omnikov & Clovier Yéyé are friends of Chlorox. Too powerful, just like him… Omnikov is a shadow & Clovier is a bumblebee. The Dark Chain Gang joins because of their connections with Diesel & Faint. Not the entire gang joins this Ultimate Alliance because there are going to be multiple through out the story. Luxroc is a black orc, Miara Milan is a ladybug & Riotburn is a human.

the Apocalypse Order is a group of the Top 1,000 List; they are all of the 25 Bracket. It’s safe to say, they are the most powerful grouping that joins this Ultimate Alliance. Fortune Seekers Unlimited is comprised of a group of children brought together by the Unlimited Club. A scientific group that is based in Ireland. They work in all of the realms, for the study of super powers & as erowo ordinance lords (the super power police). Essentially, that’s what the six of them are. Investigators & law enforcement. They will be 20 years of age at this point of the fanfic. & yes, that is Handel & Greta… All members are human, as the Ultimate Club is based in the Humanoid Realms. All of the members aren’t from the Humanoid Realms though.

TMNT joins this Ultimate Alliance because they deem it is the most Ultimate out of those formed.

As stated before, Everglow inspired Nevergleaux. As stated before, these are all dopplegangers of Everglow. Born in the Mirror Realms eons ago & have been causing nothing but migraines to all of the realms. Being the opposite of Everglow, they are one of the reasons the Mirror Realms were locked so long ago. They were trying to get to what the Power of Eons is based off of; a weapon of mass creation. Anyone acquiring it will be able to make their own universe; anyway they see fit.

Kenitia Swole is a doppelgänger from the Mirror Realms; based off of Kenitia Cole the Choreographer/Dancer who murdered Victoria Monet’s “Good Time x Trouble”. Go listen to it… Iyyesh, Spiral, Occrean & Sharker are new to the fanfic. Dreddonius is the father of Faint, his alive form was defeated by Faint, Diesel & the Dark Chain Gang back when the prophecy was identified again by Faint being discovered by Diesel. Then bringing her to one of the Dragon Strongholds of the Crazoid Realms; where she was born. Long story short, she was locked in the castle with the rest of the survivors but opening the castle, via another prophecized dragon getting close to another; resurrected Dreddonius. Now, he’ll be in the form of Bonie Dreddonius; just for this fanfic.

They’d walked for what felt like the better part of the day. Greta’s legs were getting tired so she could only imagine how hard this was on Ulysses who wasn’t born to land like she was. They kept about the same pace with her legs being shorter and him being a little more winded environment. She heard the rush of water getting louder as they walked on and as the landscape continued to change she wondered where he was leading her, and why she’d been so eager to follow.

As he pulled back the branch Greta saw them, bathing on the rocks, splashing in the water, laughing and singing among themselves. Her breath left her lungs and she felt a sense of longing as she stared at them. She’d been entranced by the site and only came out of it at the touch of Ulysess’ walking stick brushing her legs. She tore her eyes away from the marvel to meet his, still enthralled.

“Are they yours …?” she asked, keeping her voice low. “Did you help make them or are they natural?” Her brow furrowed as her mind struggled to make sense of what she was seeing, of what he was offering. A reckless part of her wanted so badly to, but… Greta worried her bottom lip considering his offer. “I could never dream … the intrusion…”

Ulysses exhaled and smiled, looking at them proudly. “In a way. They were once human and exhausted from the daily trials of life. Each of them wanted to become a mermaid and wanted freedom, and did not want to turn back human, so I gave them their wish.”

He let Greta ponder, weighing for herself if the transformation is something she wanted to experience. Though his spell was temporary, a change like that can be overwhelming for many, so if she refuses, he can very well understand. 

“Intrusion.” He repeated the word, confused by what she could mean by it. “Greta, your presence fills my cold and dark existence with warmth and light, and I am sure it does for others. I doubt you could be an intrusion for anyone. But nevertheless, if you wish to turn back, we can just pass our time by fishing for some... crawdaddies. 'A Barbie-Oppenheimer mashup movie, better known as Barbenheimer, is actually happening. The portmanteau "Barbenheimer" was coined to describe the Internet phenomenon surrounding Barbie and Oppenheimer's same-day release date on July 21, which inspired memes, mash-ups, and merchandise. Despite being diametrically opposed in style, tone, and aesthetic, many moviegoers decided to do a double bill of the two blockbusters, which ended up making "Barbenheimer" the biggest cinematic event of the year.

Now, a Barbie-Oppenheimer mashup movie is actually in the works. According to JoBlo, a "wild comedy" titled Barbenheimer is in pre-production from the notorious B-movie company, Full Moon Features. Along with the announcement comes the first promotional art and a synopsis about fed-up dolls building an atomic bomb. The artwork also includes the utterly ridiculous tagline, "D-cup, A-bomb" and teases that it's "Exploding Soon." Check out the synopsis and poster below:

Deep within Dollsville, a group of fed-up female dolls – led by the brilliant Dr. Barbenheimer – build an atomic bomb. Their mission? To bring down the patriarchy once and for all! What To Expect From The Barbenheimer Movie

While Greta Gerwig's Barbie and Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer are both critically and commercially successful films that will be in serious contention come awards season, the mash-up movie from Full Moon Features will be far from that. The project is from one of the most notorious B-movie studios in existence and appears to be nothing more than a low-budget mockbuster intended to capitalize on the Internet phenomenon surrounding the two successful movies. The project is planning to begin filming next month and is aiming for a Christmas 2023 release on Full Moon’s streaming service.

It's unknown who is writing or directing the movie, though Full Moon founder Charles Band is producing. The studio, which was founded in 1989, has been behind the direct-to-video series Puppet Master, Trancers, and Subspecies. Some of their recent releases include Subspecies V: Blood Rise and Demonic Toys: Jack Attack with AIMEE: The Visitor and Bad CGI Gator on the way. Barbenheimer can now be added to that list, and while it might garner more attention because of its name recognition, the spoof movie is unlikely to re-capture what made Barbie and Oppenheimer such an exciting cinematic event.'
