A scene you were reluctant to write but turned out well?

Has this ever happened to you? I’m talking about a situation where you have an idea for a scene but you’re not sure you should really write it, either because you think the scene may not be necessary for the plot of your fic or you’re worried you won’t be able to write it well (for whatever reason). And then you decide to write it and it turns out to be one of your favorite scenes in that fic.
