VET DAY! Stewart & Polly visited w/Doc today. Polly needed a spot checked on her inner thigh, which turns out to most likely be melanoma. Fortunately he said that it will probably come back as benign or low grade so it shouldn’t be too much to worry over. We’ll schedule the surgery to have that removed. Stewart had to get his heartworm treatment work up done so we could see where he’s at w/his health. Bloodwork & radiographs looked good, so he now has 2 mths of Heartguard & then his shot & pred, then a month later 2 more shots & pred. BUT, don’t let that stop you if you’re in love - we can do a foster to adopt during his treatment! Lastly, he’s got a goofed up elbow. While he didn’t provide Doc w/the most pristine x-ray, it looks like there’s a malfunction. It won’t completely flex as it should, so maybe there’s an older injury to his growth plate or something. We’ll recheck during his treatment, but it may be that we don’t want to rock the boat & make it worse. He does well, still normal and playful, just a slight limp here & there. So we’ll see what he gives us in a few months. In other good news, he stuck his head into every trash can in the clinic. 🐽 After, they both enjoyed a pup-pop from Sonic...as you can see, Stewart has no trouble cleaning his bowl. Polly had a less clean ending, but as you’ll note, Stewart doesn’t mind doing dishes - he wiped it clean! His last photo shows you his expression after yelling at a passerby who got slightly too close to the car. Can you imagine the audacity?? Stewart let him know this was inappropriate...the dude moved on.
