As the Divine elude all classification, the Extremely Weird fool the senses of man. You think you see eyes, skin and tentacles; but that's your brain trying to fill the gap with the closest memories you got. Desperately forcing something too large and too alien into a reassuring anchor from your previous experience. Great Old Ones are beyond human understanding, there's no humanoid octopus shaped dragon in the abysses, there's something much more real. So real than you cannot fully see it.

De même que le Divin élude toute classification, le Profondément Étrange échappe aux sens des hommes. Vous pensez voir des yeux, de la peau, des tentacules; mais ce n'est que votre cerveau qui tente désespérément de remplir ce qu'il ne peut décrire avec les bouts de souvenirs les plus proches, tentant futilement d'arrimer des concepts cyclopéens aux faibles ancres de vos expériences passées. Les Grands Anciens sont au delà de toute compréhension humaine, il n'y a pas d'humanoïde mi-dragon mi-pieuvre sous les flots, mais quelque chose de bien plus réel que vous ne pouvez percevoir pleinement.
