Spritelings and Greater Flowerblooms: Anthroponymy (AKA names, names and lots of names!)
To get back in the swing of things, I decided to make an entire post dedicated to everything you might want to know about Spriteling and Flowerbloom names! Buckle up because this might be a pretty long post!
Spritelings
Spritelings generally uses repeating names for any proper noun, especially names! They're usually 1-2 syllables long and repeats 2-3 times. Good examples would be RenRen, LuLu, etc
They also tend to be a bit melodic, and uses softer syllables like l, C, U, etc. They can also use harsher syllables, namely R and Z.
However, this can vary! There's also longer (but still relatively short) names that might not repeat! Like the names of the different ethnic groups. However, this is rare for given names. Some examples of these types of names are Zepyth, Relei and Leishi.
Greater Flowerblooms
Similarly to Spritelings, Flowerblooms also uses short (Usually 2-3 syllables) names. However, they aren't repeating, but are usually palindromic!
They tend to use slightly harsher syllables than spritelings, usually K, X or V.
Similar to spritelings, naming conventions can vary from place to place, and there are trends in names that can change!
Some example of Flowerbloom names are Kuraruk, Xinix and Zuruz.
LuLu may seem like an oddball in this regard, and you'll be right! They're named in spriteling convention. This is because they actually didn't have a name before meeting RenRen, so RenRen gave them the nickname of "LuLu."

Okay so I finally decided to called the Spriteling and Greater Flowerbloom universe Transient Skies! I'll use that tag from now on for anything relating to Spritelings, Greater flowerblooms and everything else in that world!

*Kicks door down*
You're in luck because I have a LOT of them! Namely Spritelings, Greater Flowerblooms and Holiworves (@spritebloom) and Lepigriffs (@solarclock-lepigriffs)! I absolutely want to ramble about all of them more!
Any mutuals got any original species? I’d love to possibly make one. Feel free to drop links to posts about them, so just reply to this post so I can dm about them.
Even feel free to use this post as an excuse to talk about them cuz I’d love to hear about peoples original species.

All three of my sophont species are varied in personality just like humans, so there is no concrete answer to this question... although I can offer some general ideas!
Spritelings would probably be "What's the weather like in _" and maybe other sky related stuff.
Greater flowerblooms would be "Native plants to grow for _" and other nature related stuff, as well as things relating to weather and fauna.
Holiworves would look up what's trending and stuff, as well as general fun and interesting things.
All three species would still fall in love with cat videos though.
If your world had the internet, what would the most commonly searched for terms be?

For the spriteling stuff:
Absolutely! Ones from colder regions (Teherdeian and Tuigrvanan Minao, for example) have extremely light colours/ countershading and barely any markings compared to other ethnicities, while ones from warmer climates (Siarigans and Lervidians, for example) tend to have very dark main colours and bright markings. The only exception to this rule are Ierovilians interestingly enough, although the reason for their odd light blue with red markings colouration is unknown. Markings may also vary! But within reasons as well, with many ethnicities being greyscale with red and/or blue markings.
Yep! They may wear cloak, ear rings and occasionally tail bands (Which acts more like bangles than anything). They also may wear anklets, necklaces, and even cloaks! However, since they already have something to protect them from the elements ("Feathers"), they usually only wear jewellery and save the fancy clothing (Which are usually very loose and lightweight) for more formal meetings.
Not quite! There are two sapient species in Transient Skies: Greater Flowerblooms and Spritelings. Greater Flowerblooms are large, omnivorous distant relatives of spritelings, that are vaguely moth-like and uses their legs as a primary manipulator, as their wings lack fingers. In certain areas (Most notable, Dyvila, which is where RenRen and LuLu lives), Spritelings and Flowerblooms have a very strained relationship, constantly competing for resources. In other places (Like the tropical islands where the Siarigan and the Dwarf Flowerblooms live), they live in harmony. This reminds me to finally make that Flowerbloom ethnicities chart-
For lepigriffs:
Not quite! Most of the lepigriffs in the short story I wrote about them involves lepigriffs that are based off of moths. However, you can also use butterflies, dragonflies and maybe even some wasps/bees/etc as reference!
Generally, they LOVE lightweight jewellery! Stuff like necklaces, bracelets/ anklets, and maybe some brooches as well! I should mention that lepigriffs do wear clothing (Lightweight), but most of my early drawings are general anatomy practice and such.
Also why thank you! Glad that you love my silly little creatures, and even want to make some ocs of them! I feel absolutely honoured.
Any mutuals got any original species? I’d love to possibly make one. Feel free to drop links to posts about them, so just reply to this post so I can dm about them.
Even feel free to use this post as an excuse to talk about them cuz I’d love to hear about peoples original species.

Not necessarily, all lore posts are tagged as their respective species (example: #Spritelings and #Greater Flowerblooms for stuff relating to those guys, and #solarclock lepigriffs for stuff relating to Lepigriffs).
Also I won't mind talking in public about these guys! I may even be able to make more lore posts of them.
You can ask to talk about specific species though, if you'll like!

Sure thing! I recently drew these because I haven't gotten any chance to develop Solarclock Lepigriffs much, especially lepigriff's clothing and such. So here you go!
(Jumpsuit showing wing holes, jacket and jumpsuit, dress without any jumpsuit and dress with jumpsuit)

As you can see, they usually tend to wear simplistic clothing, although they do like to wear somewhat elaborate accessories, such as frilly necklaces, bracelets, etc.
Popular clothes generally varies, although it's usually bright and colourful stuff. Warm colours and iridescent stuff are especially popular.
