Got this idea a long time ago while reading the part of Confidential where Legend's group met Tera, but i forgot lol

Great Fairy Poll Time!!!

First let me put references. This is only about the four sisters in BOTW/TOTK. Any reason for being your favorite is fine! Looks, personality, if meeting them was particularly memorable, the one you went to most often for upgrades, etc.

Cotera is the blonde great fairy with the pink flower, top left.

Kaysa is the pink haired great fairy with the orange flower, top right.

Mija is the purple haired great fairy with the blue flower, bottom left.

Tera is the white haired great fairy with the white flower, bottom right.

The fact that the Great Fairies charge money now in TOTK is insane bullshit. 

It was already completely reasonably, if not a little too difficult, to upgrade to the higher tiers of armor last game, and it just makes the entire thing an insanely unpleasant and miserable slog that leaves me resentful and murderous of the entire process and whatever developer thought that this was a good idea.

I had hoped that if I unlocked all four fairies, they’d reward me by making it free,  because I thought to myself, that’s the only way that this would be in any way a reasonable decision to make as a game developer, right? You wouldn’t just make a decision to make something that was free in the last game cost money for no reason, right? You wouldn’t just add a 760 rupee fee for each single piece of armor to be fully upgraded in the game where money is already fairly hard to come by, right?

There’s no way a developer wouldn’t recognize this would put off returning BOTW players and completely disincentivize them from ever engaging with this questline in any way, right?

No. Seriously, what the hell. Why the fuck did they make this decision. Why do the developers think upgrading was too easy last game when many of the armor sets require extremely rare items? And furthermore, if they thought upgrading was too easy, why was the solution not to increase the amount of items required instead of adding a rupee charge? Items are far easier to acquire in this game than rupees! Or, alternatively, make rupees less of a damn pain in the ass to obtain.

Ultimately, this almost makes it feel like the game is punishing me for having played BOTW, or even just for unlocking them in the first place, and makes me not want to upgrade any items at all, because, I mean, there’s better shit I could be spending my money on than this, for fuck’s sake.

It also makes the recommendations that show up in the loading screens if you die about upgrading the armor feel much more obnoxious, and considering those loading screens still show up on the Proving Grounds shrines, shrines in which you cannot even equip armor, it’s already pretty damn obnoxious!

About Riju and Tulin going to their local Great Fairy (Either Tera or Kaysa for Riju and either Kaysa or Mija for Tulin) to receive a blessing for reasons and how they react when that blessing comes in the form of a tier 3 upgrade (a big ol smooch)

So Riju, having had Tera close by for so many years of her life, she's actually very fond of the Great Fairy! When she approaches Tera for upgrades on her garb so that she can have a better defense for training purposes, she's not hesitant to ask Tera for such a strong blessing. Once she pays her dues, Riju actually finds herself giggling from Tera scooping her up and planting a kiss on her cheek, the affectionate (and powerful!) gesture akin to being shown love from an aunt or a maternal figure of some sort. The Gerudo chieftain holds the Great Fairies in high regard, so she's more grateful than anything to be given such an endearing blessing.

Now Tulin...poor, adorable baby boi Tulin does not exactly know what he's to expect. He remembers Teba explaining that the Great Fairies are to be respected and their blessings are powerful, though Tulin also recalls his father blushing for reasons he didn't understand at the time. So when he approaches Great Fairy Kaysa himself for a major upgrade to his Rito warrior's wear, what he isn't ready for is a massive manicured hand swooping him up and a giant pair of lips heading towards his face. He squawks and ducks for cover with his wings completely shielding his face - only to feel a featherlight brush at the top of his head. The result makes him feel energetic almost, and it's then he realizes that must be her magic working to strengthen his outfit. Once she draws back, he's wide-eyed with appreciation, flapping happily and thanking her for giving him her blessing (even if he was admittedly a little scared at first). Kaysa, being unable to resist those adorable, giant blue eyes, gently takes her finger and nuzzles at his head feathers, fawning over at how cute of a little warrior he is. Tulin laughs the same way he did when his mom fussed like this the first time he held a bow, that "aw shucks" kind of laugh.

I’ve never really looked at the blood moon before. It’s actually a really gorgeous shot.

Link is so traumatized. He freed her, and the first garment she upgraded she snatched him up, yeeted him, cuddled him to her face, and then drowned him. Baby boy is not okay. Send help.

Gotta admire Sidon again before I turn off the game for the night… ah, so beautiful. I, uh, play this game for scenery, I swear. 👀
