Meet the newest kits of Reedclan!
Emberkit and Leopardkit were born to Antlerclaw and Grayestcloud between episodes, and have already been getting into a lot of mischief behind the scenes.
However, Emberkit is quite a bit weaker than would be normal for a kit their age, and Leopardkit has not been responding to any noises the other cats make. Still, they’re both a welcome addition to the clan!

Sometime between episodes, the kits of Reedclan have gotten into some trouble...
It started with a bored Salmonkit becoming restless and insisting on trying to leave the camp. His sister, Lilykit, wasn’t quite as restless, but her curiosity was piqued as well. The Warriors are always leaving and going places, so why can’t they? Surely the two of them can handle exploring together. Salmonkit also tried to pester Larvakit into joining them, but the calico kit refused.
As Salmonkit and Lilykit began to leave camp, however, they found themselves being followed by Emberkit and Leopardkit. Apparently Leopardkit had seen the older kits sneaking out and decided to follow them, and Emberkit wasn’t able to tell them to come back so they tagged along as well.
Salmonkit and Lilykit exchanged a glance before deciding there was no harm in taking the other kits with them. After all, Larvakit once wandered really far away too, and he’s fine! Of course, if they did get in trouble, Salmonkit said he was blaming it all on Lilykit. She rolled her eyes at that, but didn’t really argue.
The kits’ journey took them farther than Larvakit’s journey did, or so they’re pretty sure. Somewhere along the way the sun started to rise, though it did little to prevent the cold air of leaf-bare from giving them a chill. The frozen marsh and drooping tree branches eventually started to give way to open stretches of plains, with rolling hills somewhere beyond. By now, Emberkit was struggling to keep up, Leopardkit staying close by their side in silent solidarity.
By now the kits realized that maybe they’d made a mistake, but travelling back would take just as much energy- if they could even remember the way back. They’d need to take a rest and catch their breath.
The four kits huddled together, flinching at every unfamiliar sound and the distant barking of some animal in the distance, and... voices calling their names?
Salmonkit leapt to his feet just in time to see Grayestcloud, Tantomile, and Stormfang all running in their direction. Lilykit and Salmonkit stepped away and Grayestcloud stopped just short of barreling her kits over, checking them over frantically to make sure they were okay. As the scarred queen and her kits were reunited, however, Tantomile whirled on the older two.

“What were you thinking, leaving camp in the middle of leaf-bare?!” she snarled. “You’re lucky Larvakit told us what direction you’d gone or we might never have found you! Its bad enough that you two thought it’d be a good idea to wander off, but roping Emberkit and Leopardkit in as well?! You know they’re both much younger and weaker than you!”
The kits exchanged a look before Salmonkit quickly shoved Lilykit and muttered “It’s her fault, she-”
“I don’t care whose fault it is! Your mother’s going to have some strong words for you once we all get back to camp!”
