The last big feature that I planned to add to the Warrior Cats mod is an apprentice system.
In parallel I’m going to pull the CCLoader update out of my work queue and see what I can do with that.
I’d like to do an integrated update for the most common ingredient mods to match the way I play with them. It’s a pretty me-specific play style, but I think some other folks might like it too. Basically, removing store-bought ingredients and replacing them with vanilla ingredients wherever possible, merging the same custom ingredient in multiple mods, updating recipes for the Baking Station to make some kind of sense.
All of that would work better with a CCLoader update to replace existing recipes IMO. Otherwise, I run into the problem of default-replacing the store recipes resource without knowing what store content each user has installed.
Also, I wanted to add custom paintings and the custom fish functionality that it looks like DouglasVeiga started but never finished.

Update to Pet Fighting Skill
I have an update posted to Pet Fighting. This is mostly updating with stuff I learned while building Pet Diseases.

Changes:
- Duration of wounds and recuperation (for those with death turned off) is now tunable. This is in a new resource called “Tunables”. This should work better for folks who are running a lifespan other than Normal or who just want wounds to have a bigger impact. Cost of trips to the vet is also tunable.
- I changed the blood drip effect associated with wounds. This one isn’t perfect either, but IMHO it works much better than the dripping-water-from-rain effect I used before. Serious wounds now pick one of three random locations to drip blood. Grave wounds drip from all three locations in a brighter shade of red.
- Recuperate now shows a status bar on its action icon to tell you how close it is to completion. The passed-out pet now gets its ZZZ effect to tell you it’s sleeping.
- Death now works the way it does in Diseases, which is that the pet passes out and falls down, then switches to its ghost shader and does its interaction with Grim as a ghost. This is how it works with humans, and it makes more sense than watching a pet fall over, then get up looking fine, and then have Grim show up out of the blue 5 minutes later.

Around the Sims 3 | Stray life, in the woods
Following @echoweaver‘s suggestions, here’s few new places for your kitties! A REAL tree cat (with variations to simulate seasons), a bed of leaves, that can also be used by dogs and a fallen log to sleep hidden.
Note that, once again, the animations will look weird for few seconds!
It will be released on Around the Sims 3 the 24th of March. It’s available in early access for Patreons right now.

how do you get your game and your warriors to look so good??
Making the warriors honestly took a bit of practice. Best I can say is mess around with layers, opacity, and subtle changes. If you have a striped cat, try an extra layer of different types of stripes, maybe in a slightly different color. If you have a solid colored cat, try some subtle markings in a similar color to give their pelt a more textured look.
Making the game itself look good depends entirely on what you mean. If you mean the graphics, I'd say mess with your settings and see what your computer can handle. If you mean the lots, try messing around with the "moveobjects on" cheat, and holding down the alt key while you place plants and rocks. You can mash some rocks together, or different types of plants, and it'll look more unique than the default. I personally love to tuck ferns and small plants around large boulders so it looks like they're growing out of the cracks. Again, this has taken a bit of practice, and you might have to learn what cats will and will not interact with if it's too close to plants and rocks.
Also finding a world that looks good is key.

Is it still up? I’d love to have some good generators for my own challenge and it seems like the ones used on your/ren’s channel are good!

Since I’m crummy at posting while either playing OR modding, I thought I’d let everyone know what I’ve been up to.
I have the Pet Fighting skill up on Mod the Sims for testing! https://modthesims.info/showthread.php?p=5811179
I’m thrilled for any feedback anyone can offer.
Warning: Back up your game before testing. Custom skills can do bad things if the mod is removed while any sim has the skill.
Warning 2: There’s no internationalization, and I have found some missing strings. Use NRaas Untranslated Key so that any missing strings don’t break the mod.
This has been SO much work, and I hope it’s getting close to release.
Now I’m working on the actual Warrior Cats mod, which involves a Medicine skill to allow pets (not just cats because why not?) to treat illnesses and wounds. That’s a bit more cheerful for a while :-D
