In highschool physics class we once had a electrical volt generator. it generated volts, lots of them, and almost every single one hurt. They put it on 10.000 and dared us to try it. i did, and it hurt quite badly. But it didn't kill me because the Amperage wasn't even remotely high enough.

Volts is the shock strength and amperage is the frequency at wich you get shocked. so i recon that those stick have next to no amperage value and just use electricity to quicken fights.

With all that being said please keep in mind that the entirety of the bat family is really good at killing people, with the explosive batterangs, graplehooks that can carry a lot of weight and war jets and cars, that i think tasersticks are the least dangerous in their arsenal.
