Multi Mill
Multi Mill Machine, also known as the pharmaceutical multi-mill or granulation multi-mill, is a self-contained, portable device that may be used to quickly grind, blend, chop, shred, and chop various wet and dry materials without the need for additional attachments.
This machine uses the principle of variable force swing hammer blades with both knife and impact edges rotating with a carefully chosen screen to control size reduction, as opposed to the four common principles of size reduction—grinding, compression, impact, and shearing—which frequently do not produce controlled size reduction.
The material flow path in a vertical rotor machine is optimized. To prevent chocking and temperature rise during comminuting, material entering the chamber moves to the periphery and passes through the screen tangentially and radially.
This sophisticated multi-mill device has a small design. It requires minimal maintenance and is silent as well. Stainless steel 304 is used for all contact parts, giving it a very robust construction. Furthermore, because of its straightforward design, cleaning all of the contact parts is quite simple. My favorite pre-packaged safe foods
Now, I know that not ALL of these are considered “low cal” but they are my personal favorite safe foods. I tried to list all of the prepackaged ones I could think of, because everyone knows that fruits and vegetables are generally safe, depending on the person. Hopefully I can help some people find new things that they like and wont give them *too* much anxiety when eating; because I’d ALWAYS rather someone eat something instead of fast, if possible. Everything is under 400 calories, and almost all can be found at Walmart, some at Sam’s Club or on Amazon! You’ll probably see a few of these products in the recipes I plan on posting here! Process Safety Testing for the Process Industry
The Process industry manufactures many types of unique compounds and substances and use range of processing equipment for manufacturing these end products. The storage, processing, handling and packaging of materials create potentially hazardous conditions in the workplace with a risk of fire and explosion due to a flammable atmosphere that can be created by dusts.In order to mitigate the risk of fire and explosion, industry is required under different global and local legislations and in some cases with the compliance requirement to undertake adequate risk assessment and identify hazardous areas. To be able to understand the risk and perform the risk assessments adequately, it is imperative to know the physical properties of the material being processed.As per our experience, the MSDS may not always provide all the data needed. In some cases relying on the internet data or published data alone could result in hazardous under-engineering or expensive over-engineering of the levels of protection within the site. 1. Avoidance of Ignition Sources
This approach looks at testing of materials to determine how sensitive they are to specific ignition sources such as electrostatic discharges, mechanical sparks and hot surfaces.
This Basis of Safety is often used when charging vessels from sacks, IBC’s or FIBC’s, pneumatic conveying, milling and many other operations.
Many materials, that can create a flammable atmosphere, are found to be insensitive to ignition and therefore it is easy, practical and cost affective to ensure an ignition source capable of initiating a reaction is not present.
Minimum Ignition Energy (MIE) (with & without inductance), Standard: BS EN 13821
The Minimum Ignition Energy test is conducted to determine the lowest spark energy that will ignite a powder when dispersed in air, as a dust cloud.
Minimum Ignition Temperature (MIT), Standard: BS EN 50281–2–1
The Minimum Ignition Temperature test is conducted to determine the lowest temperature at which a hot surface will ignite a powder when dispersed in air, as a dust cloud.
MIT Apparatus Layer Ignition Temperature (LIT), Standard: BS EN 50281–2–1
The Layer Ignition Temperature test is conducted to determine the lowest temperature at which a hot surface will ignite a powder when settled as a dust layer.
Powder Volume Resistivity
The test is performed at two controlled relative humidity conditions, a higher humidity of 50% and a lower humidity of 15%, in order to see the changes in resistivity as humidity falls.
Charge Relaxation Time
The Charge Relaxation Time compliments the Powder Volume Resistivity measurement as it indicates how long a material can retain its electrostatic charge.
2. Explosion Protection and Prevention
Explosion Protection and Prevention accepts that an ignition is possible, as potential ignition sources cannot be controlled and then, for Explosion Prevention, either ensures that airborne levels of material are kept to a level below the lower explosive limit (a flammable atmosphere is not present) or reduces the oxygen concentration, using inert gas blanketing to a level where combustion will not occur. For Explosion Protection the test data determines whether containment, venting or suppression systems can be applied safely.
Minimum Explosive Concentration (MEC), Standard: BS EN 14034 part 3
The Minimum Explosive Concentration test is conducted to determine the minimum quantity of powder dispersed in air, as a dust cloud that will form an explosive atmosphere. Thus, keeping below this concentration can prevent an explosive atmosphere formation.
Explosion Severity (Pmax & Kst) (20L), Standards: BS EN 14034 parts 1 & 2
The explosion severity test is conducted to determine maximum pressure (Pmax), Maximum rate of pressure rise (dP/dt)max and Kst of an ignited powder, dispersed in air, as a dust cloud.
Limiting Oxygen Concentration (LOC) Standard: BS EN 14034 part 4
The Limiting Oxygen Concentration test is conducted to determine the minimum quantity of oxygen, within an atmosphere, that will enable a powder dispersed in air, as a dust cloud to ignite. Thus, keeping below this determined oxygen level will prevent an explosion occurring. The test is performed using nitrogen as the inert gas, but conversion factors can be applied if other inert gases are to be used.
3. Thermal Decomposition
If materials are to be used at elevated temperature as would be experienced in drying operations, then it needs to be determined whether they can undergo an exothermic, self-heating reaction close to the dryer operating temperature. For most manufacturing operations, solvent evaporation is the main application for a need to increase the temperature and as these operations are performed at low temperature circa. 60°C thermal stability is not an issue. However, in the manufacture of many products and intermediates higher temperatures may be encountered and therefore data on self-heating is required.
Air Over Layer Test
A thin layer of powder, nominally depth of 15mm is exposed to heated air, flowing around it. The temperature is measured and recorded of the surrounding air flow and 3 measurements in the sample.
Bulk Powder Test
As the name suggests the testing is used to define safe processing conditions where bulk powder is present with limited air availability. Typical applications are for the base of large spray dryers, fluid bed dryers where the flow through air has stopped, storage of big bags, etc.
Aerated Cell Test
The test uses the above Bulk Powder test cell but a lid is attached with a sintered glass base. Pre-heated air is then pushed through the sample mimicking a condition where there is a bulk of powder with a large amount of air availability such as a fluid bed dryer or rotating dryer

Different Usage of FIBC Bags
Summary
Bulk bags which is also known as FIBCs (flexible intermediate bulk containers) or you can say builders bags are industrial containers used mainly for storing and transporting bulk amount of goods.
They were designed in such a way that they can be more cost-effective and also an environmentally-efficient alternative for using multiple sacks. A single bulk bag can replace a pallet of sacks, which is required for less cost and fewer materials.
If you will talk about earlier generations then bulk bags were made with PVC rubber, but in modern-day FIBCs are fabricated from woven polypropylene (PP) fabric, and hence that is the reason sometimes it is being referred to as PP bags. Polypropylene is resistant to mildew. It also has moderate resistance to heat, shrinking and stretching. Woven materials are very much stronger and of higher quality than nonwoven fabrics because the layers are woven over and under each other.
Additionally, there is a PVC variant, which is being designed for expensive hygroscopic products that require protection from the harshness of external environments. PVC bulk bags are also being manufactured from PVC-coated polyester fabric with welded seams, making them highly durable and also making them completely watertight. Although they are more expensive than PP bags, the PVC version has a life expectancy of more than three years and can be repaired
Reusing bulk bags
FIBCs bags can also be reused if they have been treated correctly, but they must be multi-trip bulk bags with around 6:1 Safety Factor rating. Some companies also provide FIBC cleaning services, which include collection, inspection, and cleaning, so that they may be returned for further reuse. Reuse of FIBCs encourages sustainability and also a circular economy, as reusing refurbished bags reduces waste and dependency on raw materials.
Recycling bulk bags
These Bulk bags are recyclable. Most FIBCs are made from virgin PP, a common plastic that can be repurposed into other plastic products, For example - battery cables, brooms, brushes, trays, bins, and auto parts.
The types of big bags that are suitable for recycling include those which are being used to store chemicals, fertilizers, grains, construction materials, pigments, and plastics. Bags for recycling are classified by different grades: Grade A include (clean, bright white; colored stitching and handles allowed); Grade B which include (not as clean, predominantly white with minimal coloring); and Grade C includes (dirty or colored bags).
How bulk bags are recycled
Like any other industrial plastics, the recycling process begins with the proper collection. Recyclers mainly require which means that the material is compacted into bales for easy collection and also for optimal market value. FIBCs are collected in large quantities, so the process of recycling is generally feasible only for businesses with a very sizeable output, or ones that can store the bags over time.
Once they are being collected, then the mill-size bales are taken to a reprocessing center, where they are sorted very well and cleaned. As they are commonly used to transport many different kinds of materials, including fertilizers and chemicals, it is usually that the bulk bags are thoroughly decontaminated before being recycled. All the zips and buttons are also removed.
Hence the bags are resized into small flakes, making them easier to handle for further processing.
After the process of cutting, the plastic regrinds go through a separation process to differentiate the further contaminants from the plastic polymers. With the advanced and modern technology of today, plastic can be easily separated by size, shape, color, melting point, and even have the ability to absorb light.
The final phase is compounding, which involves putting the regrinds through an extruder, where they are melted down at a temperature of 240 degrees Celsius into irregular ovals, also referred to as pellets or granules. The mixture is strengthened through the addition of untouched polypropylene.

Tablets with a Film Coating

Applied Film Coating
In a solvent, polymers, plasticizes, dyes, and pigments are dissolved and sprayed into a tablet coating machine. To ensure that the film is well coated, you must keep the tablets in the pan at all times. Spray nozzle to tablet bed distance should be measured accurately to provide equal stacking. In most cases, the coating solution atomizes into extremely small droplets. The sprayer will disseminate the coating solution on the bed as the coating pan spins with the tablets. A multi-sprayer system is standard on most of these devices. Hot air removes the vapour from the tablet after it has been coated with solvent droplets.
