'The World Lived Here: L8' our photo-artwork residency commissioned by Open Eye Gallery, Liverpool, UK, as part of the gallery’s Culture Shifts programme. 

Exhibition at Open Eye 5 October-22nd December 2017

“We aim towards a collaborative form of photography, socially engaged, process-led photo-image making, and constructed imagery that attempts to engage with the people represented in the work. Our images are concerned with the prevailing atmosphere of Liverpool L8. They respond to residents' thoughts, memories, family photographs and the streets of Granby/Toxteth today. Family photos and postcards became a recurring theme, as we talked to our collaborators. 'Picture Postcards' became a way for sharing ideas, thoughts and stories, or exchanging messages.” Images: ©GeorgiouTolley 2017

The World Lived Here: L8 at the Open Eye Gallery, Liverpool, UK

Catch the last few days of our photo-artwork and video project, 'The World Lived Here: L8' as part of the 'Culture Shifts: Local' exhibition at Open Eye Gallery, Liverpool (closes 22nd December, 2017). Next stop, Culture Shifts Learning Lab at the Atkinson Gallery, Southport, Jan 2018 and new collaborations with Granby residents. Themed outputs and interrelated strands including photography, zine, web, podcast, photo-walk utilising AR technology. Alternatively tea and biscuits at the forthcoming Granby Winter Garden.
