Yes, I am a real vet. Today I have a hint about studying.* (My latest story is out tomorrow! http://amzn.to/2xQ5Lsj in the #christmasboxedset #christmasbabiesonmainstreet #authorsofmainstreet #aoms ). I posted this hint on someone else's page. Kept me alive through nine years of Uni and three degrees. From @walterpauk #howtostudyincollege in the eighties: start with taking notes on lectures or whatever on paper ruled 1/3 of way from L margin (was green-tinted, which was also good on the eyes 👀 outdoors). Within a few hours (use that spare hour between lectures that you usually waste, thinking it's too short to do anything) go over the notes, and either (in L column) 1-summarise notes opposite the notes or 2-turn the info into a question or 3-definitions or whatever suits your brain and the topic. This does several things, but most importantly, you review the topic. Studies have shown review within 2 hours lets you retain in high 80 percent or more. Waiting till end of term leaves you remembering somewhere on the single digits. THEN when want to study for exams, tape them together and it's dramatically shortened. Could adapt this for modern digital notetaking by doing a two column layout and doing the same thing, without the tape, lol. Good luck! The smarter AND harder I worked, the luckier I got.
