Howl of Northern Winds | Team 2 - Bronze Round
Arena starter for @diadic, @gradible, & @estians
Another dream. The last one was still fresh. The knight, the shifting landscapes, the blood that would not spill, the same starting place again and again and again. That one had been the product of an enchanted book, they said. This one, as far as Jeritza could tell, had sprung from the darkness of his own mind: a winter tundra as far as the eye could see. Glacial mountains made shadows against the night sky like giant spectators, screaming with the wind that blew from the north.
There were others with him this time. He glanced left and right, assessing whether they were friend or foe and finding that their visages fit holes in his vague memory. Two he knew were students. Nonthreatening. The third was a stranger, and wearing a mask like he did around the monastery. Had Jeritza been concerned with the secrets one kept, he might have suspected the other man of treachery from the start, but the bow he carried was not pointed at him, nor the students.
A roar suddenly shook the mountains all around them and pulled Jeritza’s attention to the northernmost line. The winds had begun to pick up, sending flurries of light snow skimming the flat, frozen earth. Through it padded a four-legged beast, neither wolf nor cougar nor any other animal Jeritza had met in waking life. Water seemed to stream from it, flowing into a crown of ice and hardening in patches along its vulnerable spots like armor. Lowering his stance, gloved fingers tightening around the hilt of the thin, blood-red rapier in his hand, he watched and waited. Then the creature thundered off at lightning speed, its massive claws hardly seeming to touch the ice underneath. It took everything Jeritza had simply to keep it in his line of sight.
As another howl shook the mountains, the beast skidded to a stop some distance away and the water that flowed from it began to cascade in waves across the tundra.
Aurora Beast uses Surging Waves! Gains +8 avoid for next round Jeritza takes -2HP Current HP: 8/10
Jeritza began to run. Head down, left arm raised to shield his face against the onslaught, he met the surge straight on simply to stay on his feet. The ocean had been a novel sight to him when he had been relocated to the coastal Hrym territory some years earlier, but he had become fascinated with the tremendous power of the sea. It was an entity that crushed and swept away anything too weak to stand before it. If one desired to conquer the waves, one had to be like the rocks that stood against them and churned the tides into white foam. A facet of nature worthy of his rarely-earned respect.
The wave crashed down over him, soaking him through from head to foot, but he emerged from it spitting water and running his hand through his hair. He noted dimly that he wasn’t cold - the excitement that had ignited in his veins held the hypothermia at bay for now  - and kept wading forward. The beast was there, right in front of him, staring him down with wild eyes that glowed in the winter night. As the water retreated, he lunged out with his blade, cutting through the icy armor to make a shallow cut across its thinly-furred hide.
Jeritza barely hits with Crimson Rapier! Roll: 10 - 8 = 2 Aurora Beast takes -0.5HP Current HP: 9.5/10
It dashed away like the wind, then turned sharply back toward him again and threw its head back to cry for the stars.
Aurora Beast misses with Howling Wind! Roll: 3 - 2 = 1 Jeritza takes -0HP Current HP: 8/10
Jeritza jumped forward, landing on his shoulder and rolling as the last of the water condensed into an icicle and shattered against the ground behind him.

"...You are Ashe Ubert, yes? A word, please."
Understanding that his presence is often an intimidating one, Sirius uses body language and tone to come across as welcoming as possible. He rarely speaks with the other knights unless carrying out a task, but often has the chance to overhear their conversations. Not that he is an eavesdropper, but some things just have a way of trickling down to him. One hand remains at his side, the other opening to usher in the boy's attention.
He's been feeling pretty uneasy about this mission, and hopes a good deed will bring him fortune in the struggles to come.
"You are among those who will watch over the dreamers, are you not? 'Tis an important role to fill, requiring much of one's body and mind." And their will, but Sirius speaks not of the toll this duty will take on whatever hope Ashe holds onto. As a Knight of Seiros he's seen the strange machinations of his comrades. There is no way to put it besides that they are slowly losing their mind: something unbecoming of such a prestigious order. "You have my thanks for your service. The road ahead will not be an unbroken one, so I come to offer you motivation..."
"The other knights tell me you have an interest in their regimen. They have seen you watching them train, caught wind of your aspiration... I have traveled to a country famed for her order of knights, and picked up some of her habits. See me after the mission's success and I shall spar with you."
A bit intimidated is about right, yeah. But after a few seconds of hearing the other talk, Ashe's expression turns into something more akin to awe than anything else. That sort of aura... While very much unaware of his greater exploits, it's immediately clear to Ashe this man is something else. Extraordinary, even? Though maybe that's a bit too much for first impressions...
Either way, he should respond and stop staring all surprised.
"You.. will?? Well, I don't imagine I'll be much of a challenge compared to an actual knight, but it's still an opportunity to watch and learn. Of course, I accept!" Ashe smiles and nods, before joking. "Hopefully I won't be too battered after it's done, hah."
But then, as a second thought comes... Ashe's tone mellows down just a little bit. "Oh, yeah... I'm not turning the offer down, but I hope you don't feel like you have to reward me, Sir. Keeping people safe is its own reward - not to mention it's my duty here."
The archer adds, just as a little side note, before smiling again.
"Still, thank you so much for keeping me in mind. I'll be looking forward to learning from you!"

Dream Warriors
frauleindermorgen:
nagaficat:
The dreams here in Rusalka are unlike anything Deirdre has ever experienced and she has always been a dreamer. They have been frighteningly realistic and that arena, well, she has tried her best to forget that.
Now, they are to enter a new dream. But this time, they will be prepared. It is terrifying but also almost thrilling. To think that magic is able to do such a thing! She is beginning to believe, with everything she has seen and experienced, that magic here in Fódlan knows no limits. But at least they know, at least a little bit, what they are going into.
Deirdre smiles and waves over the members of her team. If they are to work together and succeed, they will need to be familiar with each other. She recognizes many faces but there are still some she has not yet had the pleasure of befriending. That must change!
“It would be wise, I believe, if we spend a few moments to get to know one another.” She tries to address the crowd but this type of leadership role has never been one she is particularly good at. Lord Sigurd and Lord Arvis would be able to command attention far better. Deirdre attempts to stand straighter as she continues. “I am Deirdre of Grannvale, a professor with the Black Eagles house. I am skilled with a staff and I shall do everything in my power to keep each of you safe. I look forward to becoming friends!”
From one dream to the next, was it? Micaiah thinks she should rub her eyes but she isn’t drowsy in the slightest… and as for tired, well, the less said about that the better. It seems wrong for her to be relieved her friend Kurthnaga is here as well as someone as gentle as Professor Deirdre (no matter how proficient in magic she might be), but the familiar faces with the same memories of her own does bolster Micaiah’s spirits.
“I believe the professor to be right. I know some of you but not all of you so - greetings, I am Micaiah of Daein. A Black Eagles student. I too specialize in healing but I’ve also become proficient at war tactics so I would appreciate knowing everyone’s abilities here.”
She nods to the next person standing in the circle, feeling a little more herself
He knows that whatever mission they are about to embark on into the dream, whatever they will encounter in there, it is important to do it, even if they are to encounter true horrors, things even worse than the dreams of battlefield after battlefield that had plagued him a mere few nights ago.
Still, he feels steadied by familiar faces around him, those who he has known before, even if it was shortly. Professor Deirdre of the Black Eagles house who seemed so kind and sweet, and certainly skill with magic if she was teaching in that house. And sweet Maria, who he had hardly had time to get acquainted with while they were in that book, but he certainly looks forward to being able to know her a little bit better. He also recognizes Cecilia from the battlefield in their dreams, and offers her a sympathetic nod, knowing what they had gone through in those arenas. And of course, there is his dear Micaiah. He already feels safer and steadied just with her by his side, as he always does.
He clears his throat softly, hovering ever so much closer to Micaiah than anyone else, but not far close enough to actually touch her. Just near enough to be able to calm his racing heart. She is certainly dear to him, but he also wishes to get know everyone else in their ragtag little group. He bows his head as he begins to speak, wishing to be cordial and not seem rude in the slightest bit.
“I agree with Deirdre as well, but I will not waste anyone’s time with such platitudes. I suppose it’s best to get right to the point and offer my greetings. I am Kurthnaga of Goldoa, though you are welcome to just call me Kurth. I am a professor of the Golden Deer house proficient in magic, but I have also taken to wielding an axe recently. I hope everyone will stay safe, I do not wish to see any ally’s blood spilled within the dream this time.”

at the end of the trail
The Aukes became enemies, until the enemies became amnesiacs, and at last their former foes and long-lost knights seem to remember that they came from elsewhere and elsewhen. They waste no time in leaving once they remember, either... though Maria supposes that, having found their missing allies, there is no reason to stay.
(She glances at Aphie when the other isn’t looking, meets the Mechanic’s eye every now and then, and she hopes... she hopes that perhaps dreams are more real than fairytales.)
Aphie has been wandering from person to person as they wait, smiling sometimes and hesitant others, and Maria watches her quietly as she flits from place to place. In time, their can kid lands at the Mechanic’s side, saying something to him that cannot be heard. For his part, the Mechanic makes some equally inaudible reply, punctuated by the loud clank, ker-CHUNK of whatever it is he’s tinkering with.
Then comes the voice, loud and yet distorted; there comes the sentries that patrol the nadir of the crater, the frantic call of the knights -- Maria grabs Aphie’s hand and runs. The sudden swarm of people rushing into the crater seems to throw the machines into a tizzy, lurching in different directions as friends and comrades scatter in every direction like rats from a sinking ship. It works for a time, but Maria has already learned and yearned for the advantage of numbers once in her time here, and she is determined not to place Aphie in that same danger.
“Professor Kurth!” She calls, spying his back amidst the chaos. Farther still, Ser Forsyth-- guilt catches in her throat; she swallows it-- and elsewhere nearby, Ares. “Ares! Ser Forsyth! Over here!” They come together somehow, descending further into the heart of the crater as fast as their feet can carry them. That odd thing in the red puddle is a path underground, according to their knights’ parting words, if only they can make it there.
The hum of machines grows louder, discordant as multiple of them converge on their little group and shower them in-- in magic? Fire? How? No, it doesn’t matter. Maria throws an arm over her face as she recoils, eyes darting to and fro. There’s no time to think of how it burns, teeth gritted painfully as her sleeve tatters and smolders.
“There! Over there!” A gap in their defenses; even if it costs them ground, the sentries whirr malcontentedly, hesitating in place before pursuing some other, distant thing. Whatever it is, it’s too far for them to reach just yet, and she scurries back down the slow-rolling slope of the crater with the chance they’ve been afforded.

. ˚♡  @gradible asked: 🎄
A silent nod is offered to the ex-princess--an acknowledgement that they are better off pretending they didn't see each other here today.
Tumblr media
In her mind's eye she can see it going differently -- can see the man that she so desperately wishes was beneath that mask, can feel his hand at the small of her back and the warmth of his breath against her lips.
Crystal eyes linger just a moment, but she is silent. It is better this way, she knows, better that he does not allow her to push the knife of foolish hope deeper into her flesh. She would only be cursing them both to hurt anyway, only be asking for yet another love to be overshadowed by hers for another.
So Nyna bows her head just as well, bringing her arms to her chest as she pushes past him.

“I, um—thanks?” She fumbles with the gemstone newly thrust into her hands, slipping it into a pocket with an uneasy smile. If nothing else, it allows her to dodge the question of Sirius’s whereabouts for a moment, but not much longer when Leif echoes it. The coffin...?
“No!” Est yelps, snapping back to her senses. She shakes her head furiously. “No—I mean, I don’t know. It might have some weird...shadow of him, but not the real Sirius. He’s...gone.” She blinks, looking off into the fog, then offers a watery grin. “I’m sure he’s having another great dream right about now, though!”
In the meantime, they have to figure out what to do with this coffin. She reaches for the sides, trying to pry it open, but its cover does not give. Nor does it lift when she wedges the point of her lance between its cover and base to pull it open. With a frown, she even lifts her lance, ready to try hitting it, if only to see if it’ll do anything, then pauses.
“Is it sacrilegious to try and smash a coffin open?” she asks with a strained laugh. “If this is a dream, the gods can’t punish me for my thoughts, can they?” So, Est swings.
And swings and swings, but nothing really seems to happen, save for her strength beginning to flag once more. Leif’s spell may have kept the poison at bay for now, but she can feel it reaching to claim her life. Still, she merely glances back at her companions with a helpless shrug, ready to give up. “I don’t think—”
There’s a startling moment of clarity right before the fall, during which Est wonders if she really will die. A hand pushes the coffin lid open and she spies a pair of eyes staring back at her when she looks. There’s nothing special about them—she can barely see them, actually, shrouded in darkness—but it’s impossible to look away.
Then, something screams.
She shifts away from the coffin on instinct, retreating as a wave of something…vaguely human crawls out, like that scream was a commander’s horn. A hand grabs at her ankle and she kicks it away, driving the butt of her lance into the half-shattered skull of another. They drive her away and apart from Leif and Professor Jeritza, and the stone in her pocket warms, then turns searing until even she cries out from its sting, but it forces the hoard away until she can start toward her companions.
Without warning, the coffin lid slams shut with a damning thud.
Est can still make out the professor through the fog, growing closer as she makes her way to him, but where is…?
“Leif?” she calls out. Her grip tightens on her lance as her voice turns panicked. “Leif! Professor, have you seen him?”

the truth - team 2 gold round
lualamina:
Again the world shifts around them, this time before the avian illusion-master could be slain, and Jeritza half-wonders as he finds his bearings in the fog it that might not be another of its tricks. He had hoped to have killed the thing for good, before it could defile his memories further, and now searches for sign of the craven beast as he feels his way carefully through hazy cloud. Up ahead comes the unmistakable sound of a struggle. Voices - words muffled though they are - hum through the fog and Jeritza pivots to follow. He is without steed now - flying or otherwise - but fighting without is like second nature by now. Eyes flicker downward to assess the new weapon he’s been granted, and only at the sight of its long, curved single-edged blade and the beauty of its silver handguard does he stop for a moment to admire it. It’s lighter than the swords he’s accustomed to, and the design itself far more complex than anything he’s seen in Fódlan. Embedded at the base of its hilt is a stone of some sort, which seems to glow with a soft, white light all on its own.
But a blade was a blade, and would spill blood all the same. Craved it, in fact. So Jeritza sets off in pursuit of the voices.
The fog suddenly grows darker and thicker before he can get much farther, and the form of a man rises up in front of him. Jeritza stops.
“You are–”
His ally with the mask. Except, shrouded in shadow, he seems to wear an odd expression. Jeritza takes his new sword in both hands and raises it defensively. He remembers how he and the pegasus knight had been embroiled in a conflict of their own mere moments ago - whether by illusion or renegade, Jeritza had not been able to determine, but now one of the two parties stands before him as if it block his way. The man doesn’t say anything at first, merely seems to stare through the fog, and the shadows coalesce around him into wide, feathered wings.
“You will die here.” The voice that voice that comes from it is both Sirius’, and not his, as if many voices instead speak at once. Streaks of black cut through the fog then, as if tearing open space itself. Jeritza has his answer in that moment and rushes through with blade raised.
Shadow Self: Messenger attacks with Judgment! [Roll: 13] Warding Blow: Jeritza receives -0HP [-2.5HP + 4 res = -0HP] Jeritza is inflicted with Taunt Jeritza attacks with Hagakure Blade [Roll: 13] Messenger receives -4HP [Current: 0/15] Jeritza receives -1HP from recoil [Current: 9/10]
Whatever enchanter armor he wears seems to deflect the magic, as he feels nothing as he crosses right through it. In one swift slash, the shadow figure is split in two and drops like a stone to the ground.
Shadow Self transforms into Fallen [15/15HP] Shadow Self: Fallen uses Bide Time
An ornate coffin rests on the ground at his feet, two dozen sigils carved into its cover and painted in gold. He touches it with the toe of his boot and it neither moves nor reacts. “Professor!” His head snaps back up to find Est, ragged and seemingly out of breath, flying through the fog. Leif is nearby, though Sirius - the real Sirius - remains unaccounted for.
“Have you seen the one with the mask?” Jeritza asks the two of them. Surely his encounter with the man had merely been another illusion. Est, however, looks hardly able to keep herself on her pegasus and though Jeritza can’t explain what it is that compels him to do so, he drives his thumb beneath the glowing gemstone at the base of his sword’s hilt to remove it from its fixture. Its warm in the palm of his hand, reminiscent of white magic. He hands it to Est with no other preface than “Here.”
Jeritza casts Light Rune on Est! Est is protected from attacks and counterattacks until Round 4 Player Phase
Next: @diadic
The fog is about as troublesome as the darkness ever was, and Leif’s search through it feels near blind until he hears the voices of his allies. After the fight before, however, was he right to trust in those voices?
Then again, did he have any other choice now? He can stand here, perfectly still, forever, in the hopes that someone might come to save him, but he’s long abhorred the act of biding his time or waiting for a savior.
If he could do things with his own hands, he would like to… just to know that he can.
So he follows those voices, races towards them, accompanied now by his trusty steed Fiana. Despite the fights spent all on foot, to gallop atop his horse feels as natural as ever even if the armor he dons and the weapon he brings does not.
The idea of a holy knight, like those of the most prestigious honor in Grannvale, bringing along light magic like that of the children of Naga… it feels both too fantastical but also gives him the confidence he needs to ride into battle.
Messenger attacks the party with Almighty Wings. 3d20 roll: 19. Hit! Leif: (-1HP) 10/10HP → 9/10HP Party unable to counterattack! 1d4 roll: 3. Leif is not stunned!
The flash of light, explosive in its might, blasts Leif but it does not deter him. It may be a new wound, but it has become his beacon to tell him where he needs to go, and he finds Est and Jeritza beside a coffin now— a ghastly sight, to be certain, but…
Leif casts Fortify. 1d20 roll: 5. Bad Heal! (+3HP) Est: 1.5/10HP → 4.5/10HP Jeritza: 9/10HP → 10/10HP
He takes the highly decorated staff in his inventory and casts it, but his mind isn’t wholly focused on it as he should be. A soft glow heals the two of his allies that remain, but his head turns from side to side, questing.
“ Don’t tell me… Where’s the last of us? ”  Leif unknowingly echoes Jeritza’s own question, before he speaks with disbelief and fear both.  “ That coffin… It does not have him in it, does it?? ”

"The students are safe and I am alright," Deirdre's voice is soft and reassuring. Much like her Lord Sigurd, this knight makes sure to put the rest of their safety above his own even when he is the one clearly injured. While it does speak for his chivalrous and honorable heart, it is infuriating when she is the one who needs to care for him! "But you, Sir Sirius, took a dreadful blow and now you must allow me to tend to it. Are you able to walk or shall I heal you right here?"
She knows well how to deal with stubborn knights and she knows that offering him the choice to walk someplace else might be enough proof of his strength and bravery to get him to let his guard down a little. "You fought well to protect us. Our foes have all fallen and there is no shame in allowing yourself to rest." Deirdre offers an arm should he require more support than just a lance.
Truly, it is a miracle that seemingly no one else had been injured. A few bumps and bruises shared among the students they had been charged with chaperoning together but nothing serious, nothing requiring her expert attention the way his does. The effect of dark magic creeps out from under his mask and Deirdre can only imagine what it must look like beneath where the brunt of the spell hit. It is even more of a miracle that he remains so lucid!
"Sir Sirius," her voice turns, well, serious and as stern as she can will it, "you will need to remove your mask so I might get a better look at your injury. I do not like the way it looks."
i forgor  💀
Black-gloved hands splay into open palms. From their fingertips, bursts of shadowy energy erupt. Though they dash and flicker, fester and leap, fly and maim, they only contribute to a single spell.
For the battle is over in an instant.
The flashing of a lance, wide-arced and forceful as the rapids, ends the battle. It was always destined to be a short one–the dark mage’s opponent one of tremendous military excellence. But as the cinders of their spell fleck away and disintegrate into the atmosphere, it becomes apparent: that spell was a hit.
“It is alright now…” a gruff voice chokes, though the lie in its statement is apparent. Sirius–the man it belongs to–reclines after landing his finishing blow. Lance held tightly in hand, he cannot force himself to stand up straight for very long. After but a moment more of his grittiest, most valiant struggle, the proud knight is brought to one knee. The butt end of his weapon is the only thing supporting him, but at least–were he to fall–the lush plains they’ve made into a battlefield would cushion him.
The enemy’s last-ditch effort to strike out at him has proven a pretty decent one, for there are remnants of their magic clinging to his face. And even as they begin to dissipate, they reveal something far more sinister: necrotic flesh. Sirius’ forehead is charred and rotting, the icky ooze already starting to make him lethargic as it inches closer to his eyes. He says “I need only a moment’s rest,” but the pain in his voice says otherwise.
“What matters…” he continues, “…is that you and the others are safe. Miss Deirdre, was it?” it is a struggle to remember right now, but he places great emphasis on not forgetting those he fights beside, “Are you unhurt? I would be beside myself if you or one of the others took a blow meant for me.”

One Last Gradible Update
As many of you know, I used to be a pretty big supporter of Gradible.com (formerly Gradsavers). For those of you who don’t know what that is, it’s a website where you do tasks like making Craigslist postings for people, posting reviews of things on Amazon, etc. and earn points. For every 100 points, they would pay $10 off of your student loans. It used to be so easy to earn points, there were days when I literally earned $25 in less than an hour, and bing bang boom! The payment was sent to my student loan servicer.
Gradible “expanded” (I’d say downgraded) and became a mostly survey run site. Lots of “put in your email, get your credit score, give us all your information” from third party sites to earn any kinds of point, and sometimes only fractions of points. Literally, 0.07 points is an option.
Well, today, I’m sick, which means I got up ridiculously early, because I couldn’t sleep. Having woken up at 5:30AM, I checked a bunch of things online this morning, and I decided to check Gradible, just to see if it had improved at all.
Apparently I woke up early enough, because I snagged 5 craigslist posting tasks, 10 points each. I had 30 from a few months ago, so in about 10 minutes, I had 80 points. Only 20 more needed to cash out for a $10 payment.
It took me over 5 hours to get that other 20 points, but I did it. So today I have paid $30, instead of $20, as I said earlier.
With that, I do believe I will be washing my hands of Gradible, at least for the time being.

Gradible is a platform for graduates with student loan debt to earn direct loan repayments by doing tasks online for businesses.
Yo! We just came across this website that helps you earn money to pay off your student debt by doing tasks like taking surveys, purchasing items from certain stores, and doing research on behalf of companies.
For every task you complete, you gain a certain number of points. Then for every 10 points, you earn a dollar.
Check back with us in a week for our review as we'll be trying this site out to confirm that it's legit and to tell you how well it works. If you already have used this site before, please share your experience with us!

can you handle it? // team ruins mini-game
goldoandragonprince:
Kurthnaga startles slightly at the entrance of Sirius, the black knight throwing off his balance as he continues to try and move through the room. He stumbles slightly as he does so, finding himself in front of a large box full… more bees. Why did it have to be bees of all things? Any other bug would have been more acceptable than this. But it just had to be bees.
Roll 1d3: 2! 1 space!
Roll 1d3-1: 2. -2 HP!
He gets out of there as quickly as he can, but he doesn’t escape without more stings. How regrettable. He wonders if this would be a good time to inform his teammates that he just so happens to be allergic to bees. Well, perhaps that would just be a distraction in their dangerous trek through this room. It’s not like it is all that severe of an allergy anyway, he’ll be fine for the time being.
Still, despite the beginning pain, he forces himself to continue forward, not wanting to hold anyone else back. They can’t spend too much time here, after all, getting attacked by bees and angry metals boxes. Unfortunately, he also isn’t as lucky as he continues past the other angry metal box, which just so happens to blech fire onto him as he walks by it.
Roll 1d3: 2! 1 space!
Roll 1d3-1: 2. -2 HP!
You would think that his skin would be a bit more heat resistant, given the whole dragon thing, but apparently not. At least to whatever fire this kind was. Now he has burns AND bee stings, probably the worst combination that could have ever possibly happened. He sighs, hoisting his bag back on his shoulder and continuing to trek on. It’s about all he can do at this point, given how many hazards there were in such a tiny room.
He slides under another blech of fire, just barely dodging getting any more burns. Finding some more cans, he adds as many more as he can carry in his arms into the bag upon his back, before turning back to the rest of his teammates still behind him.
Roll 1d3: 2! 1 space!
Roll 1d3-1: 0. 0 damage!
Roll 4d3: 1, 3, 2, 1. 7 cans!
“Please be careful everyone! We don’t have any healing spells or such, so it would be wise to try and not sustain anymore damage!”
next: @knighteclipsed
And quickly the situation evolves; in an instant, there is another, the third ally appearing immediately next to him. His arrival is unexpected, and the method is certainly jarring, but Sirius does not cause Valter any trouble — not even in his tardiness. The former's explanation?
A perfectly vague answer.
" ... Hmph. "
He watches the others move ahead, taking cans but also falling victim to various assaults. Sirius, of course, remains unscathed in his brief endeavor, but the others–
(Well, at the very minimum, they weren't dead yet.)
Eyes scan the room, searching for an opening in the chaos. Between bees and burns, every attack is intentional, be it in swarms or acting solo. The Moonstone steps forth, taking his best shot.
The first swarm of bees grazes him, the next completely misses (or perhaps they were exhausted from the smoke and the blades.) Moving faster still, the oven's flames are nigh irrelevant, and with one final step, the exit is nigh.
A bolt of electricity comes down like lightning, sending a powerful jolt through the general's form. Where before damage was minimal, — he was injured but still standing, — he felt a bit closer to death on the wrong side of Thunder.
Another long stride and he passes through the exit. Valter stops just a moment to look back at the others, mocking:
" Hurry along, then. "
Rolls [D3 / D3-1]:
1. Move: 2 / Hazard: 1 (Space: 4)
2. Move: 2 / Hazard: 0 (Space: 5)
3. Move: 3 / Hazard: 1 (Space: 7)
4. Move: 3 / Hazard: 2 (Space: 9)
5. Move: 3 / [ESCAPE]
Valter HP: 3/10

AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Okay, now that I have your attention, please keep reading.
But first, if you're outside the US, I'm SO sorry but this won't pertain to you. :(
Now, let me tell you a little story. Student loan debt is a huge problem in the US.
What if there was some way to help pay your student loans? Without getting another job, without any gimmicks or scams?
Gradible was designed for that sole purpose. To help graduates out of student loan debt.
When I found out about it last year, I thought it was too good to be true. There wasn't much on the internet about it, so I took my chances.
Since I signed up less than a year ago, I have been able to put over $1,000 towards my student loans, solely with Gradible, and without leaving the comfort of my home.
It's not a scam, it's not a gimmick or anything like that and if you have access to a computer, it's really easy.
Basically, there are tasks on the site. You complete a task, you earn credits. Those credits can be redeemed ONLY towards your student loans.
You can earn credits by doing Craigslist posts for furniture companies where all the information is provided, by sharing links on your Facebook, doing internet research, surveys, writing tasks, editing tasks, etc.
You are under no obligation. You sign in, and work a task that is available. You can unassign the task if you don't want to do it or can't finish it for whatever reason. You work at your own pace, and choose how you earn your loancreds.
I've earned over a 1,000 mostly on the Craigslist postings, which take mere minutes out of your day.
You can earn loancreds through referrals as well, which I have never done. If you sign up with the link at the bottom though, I will receive some credit and I would greatly appreciate it. If you're going to sign up, why not help someone out when after, someone can do the same for you.
I'm not sharing this for the referral credit though. I doubt I'll get anything really.
I wanted to share this because Gradible has been a light in a dark tunnel for me.
I have anxiety which prevents me from getting another job. Right now I'm only working part-time and trying to pay off my car, my student loans, etc. Gradible has helped me out immensely, and I know it can help out more people.
If you have student loan debt, just check it out. It's the least you can do.
The staff is super friendly and ready to answer any questions you have as well. If you have any other questions about Gradible before you check it out or while you're there, I'd be happy to try and help as well.

Even if you don't have student loan debt, you probably know someone that does who can really be benefited by this.
