 About Edward:

Edward is the first-born child and only son of the Duke and Duchess of Alderly. He’s sorted into Gryffindor at Hogwarts, where he quickly makes a lot of friends, thanks to his charming and witty personality. He enjoys a big crowd, unlike his father, and has many friends in the Muggle world, too. Edward comes across as a social butterfly, a playboy, and a bit of a rich tit. He can be a bit aloof and careless, not paying much heed to other people’s feelings, but ultimately, he is kind like his mother.

his grace, duke thomas of alderly is eager to find a suitable wife for his only son and heir, prince henry!

a suitable lady would be of high birth and good social standing. the alderlys are closely related to the queen herself and thus want only the most prestigious match for their son.

henry has been dodging his parents’ attempts to get him married for years. you see, he’s in love. he’s in love with elian goldcrest, a vampire. it’s two years after his graduation from hogwarts, when henry’s father finds out about his son’s relationship. he tells elian that he’s only holding henry back and stopping him from living his life. elian decides to leave. henry is understandably heartbroken and finally agrees to go along with his parents’ plan.

-henry and his wife might never actually fall in love, but they can develop a deep bond of mutual respect and friendship

-they can have children, as it’s expected of them but it’s really up to the character dynamic

-elian is not gone from henry’s life forever and whoever he ends up marrying might have to deal with his return eventually

-she does not have to like elian but she can, as elian wouldn’t hurt someone henry loves
