I’m sorry but Leo is living a better life than most of us humans are. Those psychos can go kick rocks and need to focus on animals that are actually abused or left on the streets.
Those psychos need to focus on their own damn business. If they had some business, they wouldn’t have time to worry about Charles’s dog like I am sure that every last brain cell was used in trying to string together coherent stances for that letter…or every last cent of the overdraft was used paying the App Store for a chat gpt subscription to write it. Either way…too much time on their hands.
But like I said about the whole Kelly and Penelope drama, people know of one way to do something (raise a child, raise a dog) and they think that’s the only way to do it and that everything else must be damaging and harmful. And that’s not the case. Apart from the fact that animals do not have the consciousness to envy experiences and therefore literally only know the life they have, there’s nothing about Leo’s behaviour in videos that indicates the dog is stressed or scared. And that’s literally all you can ask. Because the dog is not thinking “hey the paddock is ok but I wish I lived on a farm”. He’s either stressed, scared, or hungry…or he’s just fine. People want to anthropomorphise this dog for no reason. And you can bet some of these people know people who have dogs whose care they would Never question because in real life there are consequences for sticking your nose where it doesn’t belong. Honestly these people are just redundant.

More details of Sam Altman’s sudden ousting as CEO of OpenAI have emerged, with several senior researchers quitting the company, and executives and investors from across the industry expressing shock and confusion at what is increasingly being perceived as a board coup.
Hours after Sam Altman was booted from the company by its board, Greg Brockman, another OpenAI cofounder and the company’s chairman, quit in protest. Brockman later posted details of Altman’s removal suggesting that the company’s chief scientist, Ilya Sutskever, had orchestrated the effort to remove the CEO.
Brockman’s post claimed that Altman was told he was being fired by Sutskever, the company’s chief scientist and a member of its board. Several accounts from inside the company suggest that a disagreement between Sutskever and Altman centered around the company’s direction, and specifically its ability to build more capable AI technology safely.
“This was the board doing its duty to the mission of the nonprofit, which is to make sure that OpenAI builds AGI that benefits all of humanity,” Sutskever told employees at an emergency all-hands on Friday afternoon, according to a report in The Information.
Jakub Pachocki, a lead research on OpenAI’s groundbreaking language model GPT-4; Aleksander Madry, a professor at MIT recruited by Altman to work on AI safety; and Szymon Sidor, a researcher who has worked on a branch of AI known as reinforcement learning, all reportedly quit as the crisis deepened.
The fallout from Sam Alman’s firing as CEO of OpenAI has shaken the tech industry, and threatens to turn into a backlash against the remaining board.
Executives at Microsoft, which has invested a reported $13 billion in OpenAI, were said to be “blindsided” by news of Altman’s exit, and Microsoft’s CEO, Satya Nadella, was furious, Bloomberg reports.
OpenAI declined to provide further comment on the situation. Neither Altman, Brockman, nor Sutskever responded to requests for comment. Inquiries sent to the three researchers who quit also went unanswered.
Altman had led OpenAI on an incredible run of success starting with the launch of ChatGPT less than a year ago. He quickly became a figurehead for the generative AI boom, and he was courted by world leaders keen to learn about the remarkable potential—and the potential dangers—of more advanced AI.
Earlier this month, Altman hosted OpenAI’s first developer conference and announced a plan to create an app store for AI agents built on top of its technology. Altman was also courting Middle East sovereign wealth funding for the development of AI chips that would compete with Nvidia’s, according to Bloomberg. The Information has previously reported that Altman was exploring the possibility of developing AI-oriented hardware in collaboration with the ex-Apple designer Jony Ive with funding from Softbank.
Disagreements over the issue of prioritizing safe development of AI previously led several prominent OpenAI researchers to leave the company and found competitor Anthropic.
The development of OpenAI’s most powerful large language model, GPT-4, has sparked unprecedented debate around the potential for AI to advance beyond human control. In July, Sutskever became the colead of a “superalignment group” at OpenAI, dedicated to producing “technical breakthroughs to steer and control AI systems much smarter than us.”
Speaking at the APEC CEO summit in San Francisco last week, Altman indicated that the company had been making progress on developing a more powerful successor to GPT-4. “Four times now in the history of OpenAI—the most recent time was just in the last couple of weeks—I’ve gotten to be in the room when we push the veil of ignorance back and the frontier of discovery forward,” he said.
Many within the tech industry have spoken out to support Altman, or criticize OpenAI’s board for its actions.
“What happened at OpenAI today is a board coup that we have not seen the likes of since 1985 when the then-Apple board pushed out Steve Jobs,” Angel investor Ron Conway wrote on X. “It is shocking; it is irresponsible; and it does not do right by Sam & Greg or all the builders in OpenAI.”
“Sam Altman is a hero of mine,” Eric Schmidt, the ex-CEO of Google posted. “He built a company from nothing to $90 Billion in value, and changed our collective world forever. I can’t wait to see what he does next.”
OpenAI announced that Altman would be replaced by Mira Murati, previously OpenAI’s CTO, who is serving as temporary CEO while the company searches for a permanent replacement.
Some employees at OpenAI seemed to suggest that Murati had been serving as de facto leader of the company for some time.
“In the craziness of ChatGPT forming, @miramurati was the one making final decisions in daily standups” Evan Morikawa, an engineering manager at OpenAI, wrote on X. “She’s been leading this company for years and will continue to do an amazing job here.”
Altman, who has little financial stake in OpenAI, took to X in the hours following his ousting to suggest that he might reveal more about the circumstances of his departure. “If I start going off, the OpenAI board should go after me for the full value of my shares,” he wrote.

CHAT GPT analyzes Bakudeku & Bakugo's development
So I've been fooling around with ChatGPT, and decided to update the AI with the recent events that have happened in the manga.
(Manga spoilers until ch.362! BEWARE!)
Let me clarify that CHAT GPT has been programmed to having stored worldwide information until September 2021. I will only show the juciest replies I got from the AI, but let me clarify that I successfully updated the AI to understand what had happened in the manga until now (as of 5th April 2023).
(ChatGPT stores information given in the chat, and is capable to learn about that info and reproduce it later on during the conversation if needed.)
Let's start!
The following reply came when I asked ChatGPT if it was fair for fans to like Bakugo given his development, and if the AI agreed with me that Bakugo was well written:
(About the fairness of liking Bakugo: everyone is entitled to their own opinions, ok? But this question rooted from a discussion I had with a few IRL's who told me I was crazy for liking Bakugo. So yeah, personal reasons, but still, I wanted to show you the answer!)
Tumblr media
I really liked the response lol, it's pretty well thought and comprehensive. It's scary how much an AI can learn and give you these kind of responses in such a short amount of time.
Another one: I asked the AI about what they thought about the likeliness of bkdk ending up canon.
Tumblr media
(I'm not surprised by the answer. Dunno what y'all think about this but sounds pretty fair to me. However, that's just my opinion. I'd love bkdk to end up canon, though. Crossing my fingers.)
But then I asked the AI what they thought that bkdk still needed in order to become canon:
Tumblr media
That was all. I don't agree much. But well, that's my opinion.
Next one: I asked the AI about the meaning of Bakugo's death relating it to bakugo's and deku's relationship. NOTE THAT UNTIL THEN, I DID NOT TELL THE AI ABOUT BAKUGO'S EVENTUAL REVIVAL AND DEKU'S REACTION TO IT! (Y'know, the "control your heart" part)
Tumblr media
Then, I added the context that the AI lacked, and their response was...
Tumblr media
Even though it's obvious, this response hyped me up for Bakugos revival and him stepping up to assist Deku during the fight against Shigaraki! Or maybe in another moment, whenever Hori chooses it'd be right to fit Bakugo in the narrative.
That's all! It's been pretty fun to chat with the AI, lol. Took me around 1h30 minutes, but totally worth it.
Note that the AI, although offering objective analysis' of the context I gave them, provided responses that, most of the time, I agreed with. Which lead me to think that, if I'm a very subjective bkdk shipper, I could turn this AI into a bkdk shipper too, lol, If I had more time and willingness to convince them. My take here is, that antis could get responses matching their opinions as well. So yeah, please, do not take these answers as enunciations from the Holy Bible, but just some screenshot about a crazy fan fooling around with an AI app because she's bored and doesn't wanna do UNI work. Anyway, hope that you enjoyed reading these answers. If you want me to ask the AI about more specific things, tell me! Might do another post like this one in the future!

This is exactly why Elon was kicked off rally 5.5
he is really not smart at all. A single baby wogue video on LLM used in the file explorer of gnome has more usable code than his entire ChatGPT project did but bc ppl don’t understand it, they flock to elons side, and regardless, Apple GPT wouldn’t be used to make instructables for ppl to cheat on apps or crypto projects, it would be used for real world interactions instead, like the real gnome project, humanity - Apple GPT is Fuck your trolly billionaire wannabe status LLM set kinda tech bc they have the power to actually implement it system wide instead of just as a single app that can’t interface with anything. This is the problem with normie billionaires, they don’t understand how to make things that are actually useable day to day. Too many of them think they can just get rich selling some crypto and super fast thing, but in the end, the people that take their time to work on their ideas actually end up making better things, and he purposefully took off tweeted from an iPhone or android just to piss off ppl that don’t wanna work at Tesla bc the pay is low and FSD upgrades are BS. Since when has Apple charged for an iOS update.. never. All their OSes are free to use if you can attain the hardware. It is up to users to decide whether they want to brew their own software experience or use something that people that understand bits down to the networking protocol bytes make. I don’t support any of Elon’s companies or projects and neither should anybody. They are all pre-made things others worked on that he bought and imposed restrictions and upgrade services on bc instead of innovating further, for example like creating a bunch of Tesla hotels with solar roofs for ppl to visit or Tesla locations to airbnb at, using his boring tunnels, with his own “teslabnb”, he wouldn’t need to charge for FSD, and if those teslabnbs had starlink Wi-Fi that ppl paid to use, then twitter wouldn’t need 8 dollars a month and Tesla employees wouldn’t have low wages. His ego is literally trolling users. People are not so smart to see it but if they did, they would say Elon is full of shit bc all the examples I just gave took me two seconds to come up with and billionaires practically live at hotels, so he probably already thought of it but would never do that just to keep that carrot on a stick metaphor in our minds and so he can keep pretending he is anti-1984, keeps feeding us that lefty righty political bs but never really implements the solutions above to stop it. It is billionaires that created 1984 and they know a way out, but they are full of shit. I can’t even long post this on Twitter bc he wants 8 dollars to do so, and this dude has been riding on apple’s platform success since twitter launched on iPhone and it should just be deleted off the App Store for not even using usps logic.

South Korea has pulled DeepSeek, a highly used AI chatbot created by China, from its app stores over privacy issues. The move, announced by the nation's data protection authority, will prevent users from downloading the app temporarily. Nevertheless, the app will be reinstated once it has been subjected to "improvements and remedies" to bring it in line with South Korea's strict personal data protection laws. DeepSeek, which became hugely popular in South Korea after breaking news globally, soon became the darling of the local users with more than a million weekly active users. However, its explosive growth also made it a subject of concern across several nations with fears over privacy and national security. The sudden popularity of the app drew the attention of concerns, especially as to how it treats personal data and whether or not it compromises user privacy. The South Korean Personal Information Protection Commission, which is the nation's data watchdog, verified that DeepSeek was pulled from both Apple App Store and Google Play by Saturday night. This was after an instruction by several South Korean government departments, which had told staff members not to download the chatbot on company computers. DeepSeek, MIT http://opensource.org/licenses/mit-license.php, via Wikimedia Commons Choi Sang-mok, who is South Korea's acting president, was wary of the potential wider effect of DeepSeek, as it might pose serious consequences for industries beyond AI alone. Even with new downloads suspended, those who have installed the application can still use it, or they can use it via the DeepSeek website. The success of DeepSeek had come towards the latter part of last month when it went on sale, causing a stir in the technology industry and disrupting the reign of American AI companies. The app of the Chinese company became an overnight sensation with its capabilities, being compared to other prominent AI models like OpenAI's GPT. Yet, the manner in which DeepSeek became popular also created concerns over data privacy and security. South Korea is, however, not the only nation that has acted against DeepSeek. Taiwan and Australia have also prohibited the app from being installed on official devices, citing the same threat to national security. Australia has clarified that its prohibition is not based on the app's Chinese origin but on the "unacceptable risk" it presents to national security. In Europe, Italy's data watchdog placed a temporary prohibition on DeepSeek, following the same reservations that were expressed by the French and Irish authorities. These nations are asking how DeepSeek processes personal data, especially if it saves information on servers in China, as its privacy policy indicates. The privacy policy of the app says that it can gather data like email addresses, dates of birth, and other input provided by users, which it utilizes to enhance its services. The United States has also spoken out regarding DeepSeek, with legislators introducing legislation that would prohibit the use of the app on federal devices. A few states in the United States, such as Texas, Virginia, and New York, have already adopted similar prohibitions on state government workers. These moves mirror more general concern about surveillance threats from AI technologies from foreign governments. DeepSeek’s large language model (LLM), which boasts reasoning capabilities comparable to those of U.S.-based AI models like OpenAI’s GPT, has also sparked debates about the cost efficiency of AI development. Reportedly, DeepSeek’s AI system requires a fraction of the cost to train and operate compared to its American counterparts, which raises questions about the billions of dollars being invested in AI infrastructure in the U.S. and elsewhere. While debate rages over DeepSeek, one point is certain: the world is sharply divided about the consequences of the next-generation AI technologies. While some believe it is a revolutionary tool with tremendous potential, others perceive it as a menace to privacy and security at the national level. For the time being, the fate of the app in South Korea and other nations is unclear, as regulators continue to examine its operations and data-handling habits. Read the full article

DeepSeek AI and the Global Power Shift: Hype or Reality?
New Post has been published on https://thedigitalinsider.com/deepseek-ai-and-the-global-power-shift-hype-or-reality/
DeepSeek AI and the Global Power Shift: Hype or Reality?
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is no longer just a technological breakthrough but a battleground for global power, economic influence, and national security. The U.S. has led the AI revolution for years, with companies like OpenAI, Google DeepMind, and Microsoft leading the way in machine learning. But with China aggressively expanding its investments in AI, a new contender has emerged, sparking debates about the future of global AI dominance.
DeepSeek AI is not an accidental development but a strategic initiative within China’s broader AI ambitions. Developed by a leading Chinese AI research team, DeepSeek AI has emerged as a direct competitor to OpenAI and Google DeepMind, aligning with China’s vision of becoming the world leader in AI by 2030.
According to Kai-Fu Lee, AI investor and former Google China President, China has the data, talent, and government support to overtake the U.S. in AI. “The AI race will not be won by the best technology alone but by the country with the most strategic AI deployment. China is winning that battle,” he argues.
Open-Source Accessibility and Expert Perspectives
One of DeepSeek AI’s most disruptive features is its open-source nature, making AI more accessible than proprietary models like GPT-4. Unlike GPT-4, which requires advanced GPUs, DeepSeek AI runs on less sophisticated hardware, enabling businesses with limited computational resources to adopt AI solutions. Moreover, its open-source accessibility also encourages global developers to contribute to and improve the model, promoting a collaborative AI ecosystem. Furthermore, companies can integrate DeepSeek AI without paying licensing fees, disrupting AI’s traditional business model.
Elon Musk has expressed strong skepticism regarding DeepSeek AI’s claims. While many tech leaders have praised its achievements, Musk questioned the company’s transparency, particularly regarding hardware usage. He dismissed claims that DeepSeek AI had achieved its results with a relatively small number of GPUs, implying that the actual number could be much higher. His criticism aligns with industry experts’ concerns that DeepSeek’s rapid success might be overstated or not fully disclosed. Musk’s stance contrasts with the optimism of figures like Marc Benioff, CEO of Salesforce, who publicly celebrated DeepSeek AI’s recent achievements, particularly its surpassing ChatGPT on the App Store. He emphasized that the actual value of AI lies in data and metadata, suggesting that future advancements will be driven by access to these resources. Benioff described DeepSeek’s success as a significant milestone in AI, highlighting its potential to democratize technology and challenge established players. However, he also referred to DeepSeek as “a precision experiment for now,” indicating a cautious optimism about its long-term impact. This perspective reflects a broader conversation about the evolving dynamics in the AI industry.
Prof. Neil Lawrence, DeepMind Professor of Machine Learning at the University of Cambridge, remarked, “The progress is unsurprising, and I think it’s just the tip of the iceberg regarding the type of innovation we can expect in these models. History shows that big firms struggle to innovate as they scale, and what we’ve seen from many of these big firms is a substitution of compute investment for the intellectual hard work.”
Is the AI Race Tilting in China’s Favor?
China is rapidly advancing in the AI race, particularly with the emergence of DeepSeek AI. China’s 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-2025) prioritizes AI as a strategic frontier industry, reinforcing its ambition to lead globally by 2030. Significant state investments in research, talent acquisition, and industrial applications back this effort. DeepSeek has gained international attention with its recent models, including the DeepSeek-R1, which employs advanced reasoning capabilities and operates under an open-source license.
AI expert Andrew Ng notes that while China’s AI infrastructure is growing quickly, the real test lies in scaling these advancements globally. Additionally, challenges remain in addressing AI governance and ethical concerns, especially as DeepSeek’s open-source approach could reshape how information is processed worldwide.
DeepSeek AI is already impacting the AI industry and the stock market. Reports suggest that DeepSeek AI’s announcement caused a temporary dip in NVIDIA’s stock, a key supplier of AI chips for OpenAI and Google. Microsoft and OpenAI are also reportedly re-evaluating their business models in response to the potential threat posed by open-source AI.
This shift might force U.S. and European AI firms to accelerate their development efforts, with companies increasingly investing in more efficient AI models that balance performance and cost-effectiveness. With DeepSeek AI challenging the current paradigm, businesses are exploring new AI monetization strategies, such as modular AI deployments and cloud-based AI marketplaces.
So, is the AI race tilting in China’s favor? While China’s advancements are undeniably significant and create a compelling narrative of rapid progress, it is essential to remain cautious about labeling it as an outright victory. The AI race is complex and multifaceted, involving technological prowess, ethical considerations, governance frameworks, and global cooperation. As the world watches China’s next moves, the true measure of success will depend on how these advancements are scaled and integrated into a worldwide context, ensuring they benefit humanity as a whole while adhering to ethical standards.
Hype vs. Reality: Assessing DeepSeek AI’s True Impact
DeepSeek AI has gained attention in the AI sector, with many considering it a significant development. Its primary advantage is its efficient use of resources, which could reduce business infrastructure costs. By adopting an open-source approach, it allows for rapid growth and customization. Industries such as finance, healthcare, automation, and cybersecurity could benefit from its capabilities. However, there are still substantial challenges that may limit its global adoption.
While the open-source model is viewed as an advantage, it also presents risks. Open AI models can be misused to spread misinformation, create deepfakes, and manipulate data—issues that have led governments worldwide to implement stricter AI regulations. Additionally, China’s strict content moderation policies may reduce its appeal outside its domestic market. Another challenge is its reliance on China’s semiconductor industry, which faces U.S. sanctions that could restrict its ability to scale AI training infrastructure.
Building trust at an international level is another key challenge for DeepSeek AI. Many Western companies hesitate to adopt Chinese AI technology due to concerns about data privacy and regulatory uncertainties. Unlike established players such as OpenAI, which have explicit revenue models, DeepSeek has yet to define a solid monetization strategy, raising questions about its long-term sustainability. Without international partnerships and strong data governance, its reach may remain primarily within China.
AI companies like OpenAI and Google DeepMind are adjusting their strategies to acknowledge this competition. OpenAI is developing more minor, cost-efficient AI models to remain competitive, while DeepMind focuses on ethical AI practices and enterprise solutions to appeal to businesses.
So, is DeepSeek AI all hype, or does it represent a significant shift in AI development? The reality likely falls somewhere in between. While its notable advancements could influence various industries, its global impact will depend on overcoming regulatory barriers, establishing user trust, and navigating geopolitical challenges. Until then, its role in the AI domain remains uncertain.
The Bottom Line
DeepSeek AI represents a significant step in China’s AI ambitions, challenging Western AI leaders and reshaping the industry. Its open-source approach makes AI more accessible and raises security and governance concerns. While some experts consider it a significant disruptor, others caution against overestimating its long-term impact.
Whether DeepSeek AI truly shifts the global AI balance remains uncertain. Its success will ultimately depend on trust, transparency, and the ability to scale outside China. The AI race is far from settled, and only time will reveal whether DeepSeek is a temporary experiment or a lasting force in artificial intelligence.

DeepSeek: The Chinese AI Disruptor Shaking Global Markets
Tumblr media
A Chinese artificial intelligence (AI) startup, DeepSeek, has taken the tech world by storm, topping app download charts and triggering a sharp decline in US tech stocks.
In January, the company unveiled its latest model, DeepSeek R1, which it claims matches the capabilities of OpenAI’s ChatGPT while being significantly cheaper to develop. The rapid rise of DeepSeek has unnerved investors, wiping billions off the market value of chip giant Nvidia and challenging the assumption that American firms will dominate the AI industry.
Former US President Donald Trump described DeepSeek’s emergence as a "wake-up call" for American tech companies.
What is Artificial Intelligence?
Artificial intelligence enables machines to learn, analyze data, and solve problems—often mimicking human reasoning. AI has become widely recognized through chatbots like ChatGPT and DeepSeek, which use vast datasets to generate human-like responses.
These AI tools assist users with various tasks, from drafting emails and summarizing text to aiding with coding and academic studies. However, they are also prone to generating misinformation and reflecting biases present in their training data.
Introducing DeepSeek
DeepSeek is a free AI chatbot that functions similarly to ChatGPT. Reports suggest that its R1 model rivals OpenAI’s o1 model in performance, excelling in tasks such as mathematics and coding. Unlike many AI models requiring extensive computing power, DeepSeek R1 was trained at a fraction of the cost—approximately $6 million, compared to the "over $100 million" estimated for OpenAI’s GPT-4.
The company reportedly circumvented US chip restrictions by stockpiling Nvidia A100 chips before the 2022 export ban. Some experts suggest that DeepSeek optimized its resources by integrating these with less sophisticated hardware, making its process more efficient and cost-effective.
These advantages helped DeepSeek's AI assistant become the most downloaded free app on Apple’s App Store in the US. However, its launch was marred by large-scale cyberattacks, leading the company to temporarily limit registrations and contend with website outages.
Like other Chinese AI models—such as Baidu’s Ernie and ByteDance’s Doubao—DeepSeek is programmed to avoid politically sensitive topics. When asked about the Tiananmen Square massacre, for instance, it did not provide details, reflecting China’s strict government censorship policies.
Who is Behind DeepSeek?
DeepSeek was founded in December 2023 by Liang Wenfeng, a graduate of Zhejiang University with degrees in electronic information engineering and computer science. Despite his low public profile, Liang’s influence in the tech and finance sectors is growing rapidly.
He is also the CEO of High-Flyer, a hedge fund specializing in AI-driven quantitative trading. In 2019, High-Flyer became the first quant hedge fund in China to raise over 100 billion yuan ($13 million). Liang has long advocated for China’s AI independence, stating that the country "cannot remain a follower forever."
DeepSeek’s rapid success has drawn global scrutiny. Australia has banned the app on government devices, citing national security concerns. Data protection regulators in several countries have demanded clarity on how the company handles personal information, which is stored on servers in China. Italy went further, blocking the app on January 30 and ordering DeepSeek to cease processing Italian citizens' data.
Impact on US Tech Giants
DeepSeek’s achievements have challenged the belief that AI advancement depends solely on massive budgets and high-end chips. This has created uncertainty in the semiconductor industry, particularly for Nvidia, which saw its stock price plunge 17% before a partial recovery.
The shockwaves sent through financial markets were significant. On January 27, the Nasdaq fell more than 3%, with tech stocks experiencing broad sell-offs. Nvidia, once the world’s most valuable company by market capitalization, dropped to third place behind Apple and Microsoft, with its market value shrinking from $3.5 trillion to $2.9 trillion.
Despite its impact, DeepSeek remains privately owned, meaning investors cannot currently buy shares in the company.
China’s Reaction to DeepSeek’s Rise
DeepSeek’s success is a major boost for the Chinese government, which has been striving for technological self-sufficiency. While Chinese Communist Party officials have not publicly commented, state media has highlighted the app’s impact, describing its rise as a source of anxiety for Silicon Valley and Wall Street.
"DeepSeek’s advances are being celebrated as proof of China’s growing technological prowess and self-reliance," says Marina Zhang, an associate professor at the University of Technology Sydney.
However, Zhang warns that this development could encourage "tech isolationism," as China pushes to further decouple from Western technology.
As the AI race intensifies, DeepSeek’s emergence signals a shift in global power dynamics, proving that innovation is no longer confined to Silicon Valley.
