The USFS added the CS Trophée Metropole Nice (okt 16-20 - same time as Skam) and CS Tallinn Trophy (Nov 12-17 - same time as GP Finlandia Trophy) to their international assignments page. So it seems we will have 2 more (7 in total) challenger in this season! 😃

really no surprises in the top 3 - glad Lilah's ok after their accident yesterday. T/V tend to skate well at home, plus it always feels like there's a little home bonus

Shawn Rettstatt himself is the tech controller for this event 👀

Taschlers had a twizzle issue that cost them a few points or they would have been pressing T/V a little more. (only 4 teams out of 10 had level 4 twizzles for both today) but this otherwise was a strong outing for them

then you have 4 teams within .79 of each other - the Browns skated high energy and really well, left points on the table in levels. Z/K had a larger twizzle error and generally seemed just a little bit off - not as in sync as they can be, slightly lower energy for him (which might be a good thing? he felt nearly frantic at their first event). Pate/Bye had the highest BV of the 3, and the US judge had them ranked Browns, P/B, Z/K. but overall Z/K's ceiling seems the highest - even with their bigger error, their PCS was the highest of them. i'm always rooting for the Browns, but unless you see them live, it's hard to tell how much ice they're covering, so it's hard to tell what to think of these scores - plus sibling teams often feel like they're at a disadvantage with judges. i wish that wasn't true, but it rarely feels like the breaks go in their favor whyy

Pirihara are so fun - for once, a PCS that makes sense, in that their Presentation score is rightfully higher than the other 2 marks. Hannah and Ye - this RD has so much potential to be exciting, but it requires really high energy, power, and a huge build in the 2nd half, and right now, it kind of shows how they're not quite able to do that yet. their programs this season do have some great moments, but they don't hide their areas that are still in process. but i would never count them out
